A great friendly pub located in the heart of Soquel village, with a nice chill vibe. Also the owner gives back a lot to the local community by hosting a yearly toy drive as well as other fun events for the community!
Awesome local spot for beers and cocktails. The bartender was awesome and even sang along to a song. Cheap drinks and free entertainment. I love this place.
Super friendly bartenders, 6 large screen TV's. Pool table and a juke box that is connected to the internet. Oh, and a fire place. You'll love it 😎🎸

Low-key neighborhood bar, good bartenders. 1 pool table and a jukebox, plus an outdoor seating area in the back.
Awesome people but Johnna my prom date ended up getting married. Geel luke hearing that Dan Fogelberg old Lang zine song
Nice staff, plenty of televisions, if you want to keep track of your team. Pool table, should you desire to play. Decent elbow room - something other facilities lack. Stop looking at reviews and go check the place out!
Nice little pub, has one pool table and no darts that I could see of. My wife had gin and cranberry which she liked the cranberry juice they used, it went well together. Was not able to play on the table so I can't describe it for you.
I love the attention the bartenders give their customers. I always feel welcome.
I live right up the street from this place and I had a wonderful experience here today. The bartender (I wish I knew her name but I don't remember) was just the right amount of attentive. My friends and I will definitely be coming here again.
Courtney is a ray of sunshine, and is a big contribution to Sir Froggys. She gave excellent service with an excellent personality! We will come back for sure!!!
I went for Saint Patrick's Day on a business trip, and it's a hidden gem. I like the dim lighting and yet still visible atmosphere. It's like a giant cabin vibe, with the fire place 🔥🪵

A fun local watering hole. I went there for football games and it was a fun friendly crowd. The service is good as well. Bring your take out for eats, as they only have chips. They have mexican and chinese joints nearby if you forget.
Comfortable dive bar. I went to watch TNF. Only about a dozen patrons, almost entirely male - locals who all seemed to be good guys. I was the only one watching the game... in a "sports" bar. Limited selection of dark ales (Newcastle and Guinness). Only munchies were chips and microwave processed foods. But excellent staff.
Very polite staff. Warm and good crowd. Love the redwoods and the creek. Talk about Santa Cruz bar!!! The games are on and it's lively. They should bring back taco Thursday's.
Working man's bar... Been there for a very long time. Old bar. Lot's of TV's Customers age range is wide, a few more grey beards than young... Two G&T's $10 .... Decent drink for $5
This is amongst my Top 10 favourite... No, wait, this is amongst my Top 5 favourite... This place may even rank in my 3 favourite Santa Cruz County bars/pubs. Let's make this easier... Sir Froggy's is, hands down, my absolute favourite bar/pub in Soquel, CA. I like the way all these things come together well: The quaint, cozy cabin feel, the working wood fireplace, the single, well spaced pool table, the Juke box, the U-shaped... Or, um, "backwards J-shaped" bar, the high 4-top tables that look out toward the street, the street-facing windows, the comfy stools, the multiple and matching big screen flat TVs, the lack of cluttery items canvassing the interior (something I usually really like that adds a lot of character to almost all other dive bars, but it's refreshingly unnecessary here), the relatively clean-ish private restrooms, the off-street private parking lot, the location next to a creek/river and bridge in the heart of little Downtown Soquel, and even the wooden "smoking deck" out the rear door (I'm not a smoker, but it offers a nice off-street open-air conversation arena), and above all else, the good nature of the fellow patrons. Some similar type bars have a constant presence of sloppy drunks, or critically scrutinizing drunk locals, or shady individuals, or keep-conversation-within-their-own-small-clique bar pods, but I don't recall there ever being a time when I walked in and wasn't greeted with friendly expressions, or included into conversations by people I didn't know yet (when I choose to be), or had someone buy me a drink, or had a woman go out of her way to chat or meet, or had someone telling a story or joke or experience not make eye contact or exlude me. It just generally and consistently a friendly, happy, sociable, accepting, and welcoming bar "family" and environment. Come to think of it, it may be the ONLY bar where I've never seen a fight (yet), nor can I even recall ever seeing serious arguements, couples' conflicts, or "You both/all have leave to leave right now, take it out to the street..." Situations. Ever. Wow! Not saying it's never happened before, but never when I was there. That's just damn amazing. So if you're reading this and decide to go check it out, don't screw it up. Thanks.

Great bar friendly people. If you want to freeze your ass off in the winter go early in the morning nice fireplace but all the heat goes up the chimney. No other heat source seems to be available. Otherwise great place. Bundle up like an Eskimo if you go early .
great spot the bartender pushed back when i came in with my service dog but eventually let me come in
The new owner has made some changes, some not the best execution, but with the best intentions. The walls are painted a dark blue and the lighting is minimal, so despite all the windows, it's divey dark even on the brightest day. It's a locals bar, but with tourists prices. The frogs are nearly gone but in their place are new flat screens. The drink prices need to be cheaper. You'll spend just as much at the Esplanade so might as well go to the beach and enjoy the view over there.

The bartender who worked last Saturday night was so rude, uptight & down right mean to me & my friends that I was with! However, her friends that were there were given all her attention & service! I was born & raised in Santa Cruz, my grandparents were one of the first people to build in Soquel!! Never, have I been so disrespected & treated like I was not welcome at a bar!!! I will never go there again & will let everyone I know not to go there as well!! My advice to the owner, find a new bartender!! This happened 8/13/2016!!
