Tasty Spot Cafe in Arcadia is for comforting Cantonese-style meals. The soy sauce chicken was tender and flavorful, perfectly paired with fluffy rice and fresh bok choy. The lotus root stir-fry with Chinese sausage was crisp and savory. Generous portions, quick service, and authentic flavors make this spot worth returning to.

This place was big and went on a good day because there was only one big party in the private room and we pretty much had the whole restaurant to ourselves, aside from a few smaller parties. This was a cool place because they had both Chinese food and you can order dim sum dishes too. I didn't get any dim sum because my family was in charge of the ordering. But my parents loved everything here. Here's what we ordered: Sweet corn and minced chicken soup: 10/10 Honey walnut shrimp: 10/10 Fish filet with black bean sauce: 7/10 Sauteed chinese broccoli with dry flounder fish: 10/10 Yang chow fried rice: 9/10 Seafood chow mein: 8/10 Half roasted duck: 7/10 Overall, i love all the choices here and want to go back and try to add dim sum dishes.

Very delicious food! They had a wide selection that ranges from Chinese BBQ meat cuts, Hong Kong style cafe food, and Chinese diner food. Would be great for a family dinner any day.

Clean, great for breakfast, it differs from different locations by having dim sum offerings and addition to the usual Cantonese style breakfast offerings. Lunch food is very meh. Today we had the chicken steak with black pepper sauce and the taste of the sauce was very soy sauce-y Still a great place for breakfast

Cantonese BBQ is one of my favor food, as a Cantonese. They did make chashao in an authentic cantonese way. I also got a baozaifan from them. A little bit not that traditional, but still brought the good tastes out of the dish. Just kinda bring me back to Guangzhou. Will definitely recommend this place for cantonese food lovers. One of the best place to go for an canton/hongkong style cafe in LA.

Finally a place that serves family size meals and personal plates! I came here specifically because I wanted dimsum. They have a huge menu which is easily readable with a lot of photos of their specials, so its easy to follow along and choose. Their portions have good value because the pricing is fair and the servings are large. I actually went in 2 days in a row. The first time was because the cutoff for their dimsum is 3pm, so I went for their plated dishes which were all very good. Then the next day, I went again before their dimsum time was over. Service is good and they kept my drink topped off. They also have their own parking lot in the back with easy access also to the backside of their neighbor's parking. All in all, i'll be back again. Its close to where I live, its not so busy, and you get your money's worth.

Delicious Food Corner truly lives up to its name! Their authentic Cantonese dishes transported me straight to the bustling streets of Guangzhou. Every bite was a delightful burst of flavor, with the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spicy notes. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is incredibly friendly. If you're in search of genuine Cantonese cuisine, look no further. Highly recommended! The pineapple bun here is tasty and it's my favorite dish here!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Cantonese restaurant in Los Angeles, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The menu offered a fantastic array of Cantonese dishes, each bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. The dim sum selection was a highlight for me, with delicate dumplings and steamed buns that melted in my mouth. Their seafood dishes, especially the lobster with ginger and scallions, were absolutely divine. The service was top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who were more than happy to offer recommendations and accommodate dietary preferences. The restaurant's cleanliness and attention to detail in presentation were also impressive. I highly recommend this Cantonese gem in LA to anyone seeking an authentic and delicious dining experience. It's a true culinary delight that will leave you craving for more. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu!

I recently dined at Delicious Food Corner, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The authenticity of their Cantonese cuisine is truly remarkable. The Pineapple Buns were a sweet and savory delight, the Minced Pork Rice was a comforting bowl of goodness, and the BBQ Pork had that perfect blend of smokiness and tenderness. What sets this place apart is not just the incredible taste but also the affordable prices. You get top-notch Cantonese dishes without breaking the bank. And let's not forget about the unlimited milk tea refills; it's a tea lover's dream! If you're looking for an authentic Cantonese food experience that won't empty your wallet, Delicious Food Corner is the place to be. I can't recommend it enough.

I liked how clean and bright the restaurant was inside. The food also came out pretty quickly. My favorites were their bbq options like crispy pork and duck. They were so tender and delicious with their sauce. I also got their walnut shrimp which is a classic. The porridge was good but a little on the lighter side for me but so good when I added some salt and pepper. I like getting the kind with the thousand year old egg.

This is my favorite Cantonese tea restaurant in Los Angeles! It's also a great place to gather with friends. Hong Kong-style pineapple buns and spicy minced pork and egg rice are my favorites, and this time we also ordered BBQ pork, which is very authentic. If you are here for lunch, I would also recommend the Steamed Flour Roll with Beef. The restaurant has a great ambiance, a spacious parking lot, friendly waitstaff, and very affordable prices for the food. Highly recommended!

As a Cantonese, this is the most authentic Cantonese food I have eaten since I came to the United States. Delicious food corner makes me feel like I'm in a restaurant somewhere in Guangdong enjoying these. I really recommend fried rice with Minced Pork. It has amazing taste and amount, we were shocked when the waiter brought it to the table. While enjoying this delicacy, we also ate pineapple buns and drank classic Hong Kong-style milk tea. You can refill the milk tea. The last but not least, I have to say that this restaurant is really great. I swear I'll eat at this restaurant again

The Singapore noodles are really good tried the shu Mei with quail egg dumplings. Have to say I couldn't eat them. Too much pork? Not sure. They have lots of options I'll be back. The staff is very friendly. A bit like a cafeteria feeling but it did the trick.

Had breakfast ordered the seafood porridge, soy sauce bean sprout and fried egg noodle, dried shrimp rice roll, rice roll with fried churro, and wonton noodle. There were only 3 mid size wontons with a relatively small size egg noodle. The noodle and soup taste authentic and the wonton were in the small size. The fried noodle was good and tasty. There were 4 choices of drinks offered with the combo meals. The dining room was quite cool and will be more comfortable wearing a jacket. The rice rolls tasted good and soft but not very hot. Comparatively, I think I like the Garden Cafe across the street on Baldwin Street better.

I was hoping for more "western" HK dishes like their other branches but they have dims um instead of the "western" breakfast combo. However their hot oil sauce is interesting. There are chewy strings in them like XO sauce but I doubt they used dried scallop. I will have to go back and investigate. Also check out the wasabi sauce in their condiment tray.

Formerly Delicious Food Corner. But I suspect they are still secretly Delicious Food Corner. Even employees wear Delicious Food Corner T-shirts. Haha. No big deal. This place won me over with its wonton noodle soup. It was excellent! The wontons had great flavor and the noodles had the perfect texture- not too plasticky. Sorry, no photos. Typical looking wonton noodle soup, but just tastier. IMO, better than Sam Woo BBQ and other HK-syle cafes. The other dishes were good. They offer dim sum too. So we can have some dim sum and other traditional HK dishes. Garden Cafe was too busy and had no open parking spaces, so we went across the street. I'm glad we did. I'll be back for more. Shrimp Rolls. Yummy. Crispy shrimp in Chinese savory donut, wrapped in steamed rice crepe. COMPLEX: You got the soft, warm, rice sticky rice rolls, sitting in sweet soy dim sum sauce. Then when you bite into it, you get the crispy crunchy donut with shrimp paste on the insde.

Came around 6 for dinner and there was no wait for seats. Ordered the walnut shrimp, tofu with mushroom, and cauliflower. The dishes came out less than 10 minutes after we ordered which was nice. However, the portion size was disappointing. The taste was good though! Nice and flavorful but not salty. My favorite was the tofu dish which was fried really well and the seasoning was good. The cauliflower dish was lacking though, since the cauliflower was undercooked so it was hard. I like the food but I think there are better prices for these same dishes somewhere else with better portion size. It was nice that the takeout containers are made of paper though- very environmentally friendly.

Without mentioning newer come-ups in the area, as far as 港式西餐 (HK-Style Western Food) & Cantonese establishments goes, this chain has been consistently decent. Not sure if they're still associated with the Delicious Food Corner or not, but I can't complain. I got the 3-combo special for lunch, and chose the Roast Pork, Roast Duck and Sausage combo. Not bad! Skin on the Roast pork was thin and crispy! Kinda' on the pricier side, but then, since CoVid, my sense of what's cheap and expensive has gone out the window. The portions are pretty big at least. I think I can split this up into two meals, and still be OK.

October 2023: Stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night. Lots of parking in the lot 👍. Ordered some Singapore noodles, filet mignon steak cubes, tofu with seafood, cod fillet clay pot bowl, and some Chinese broccoli. Everything was good but not great. The Chinese broccoli and steak cubes were probably my favorites. The noodles would be third. Portions were decent. I saw another table that ordered fried rice that was huge. I'd probably try other dishes next time.

My first visit to this restaurant. It is Hong Kong cuusine. We ordered a variety of dishes. The congee with pork and thousand year old egg lacked flavor though it's saving grace was the amazing egg and pork. The Har Gow lacked flavor and the noodle was too thick but the shrimp in its center was quite good. The chow fun was passable albeit a little expensive but the beef saved the dish. The Golden Money Belly (tripe) was tender and the sauce good. I would recommend this eatery.

Not worth the price point. The former restaurant was better. They kept much of the old decor with some added decor, so it doesn't have the former sharp and sleek look. Do not allow them to seat you in the side room. The acoustics rendered all conversation impossible was it was so loud in the room. And this was with the room barely a third full. Ask for the main dining room. Your ears will thank you. Service was meh. The server failed to hear the first part of our order, which was for Peking duck. So when we had finished the dim sum plates, we had to follow up with various servers to find out when our duck would arrive. Honey walnuts and shrimp was ok. Turnip cake was so-so. The garlic wings were tasty on the outside but the interiors were pink. Word of warning about the steamed black buns with custard. The "custard" was less custard and more fluid. It had a tendency to flow out so eat it over something to catch the liquid. And give it a little time to cool down, as one risks getting scalded when hot from the steamer. Soup dumplings were ok but not a motivating reason to eat at this place. Then finally the Peking duck arrived. Flavor acceptable but the duck came chopped, in a standard Chinese BBQ style. The duck is served with steamed buns for the customer to essentially make a sandwich to their liking. Which was not possible, given that even piece of the cut duck had bones in it! Massive, massive fail. It's the first Peking duck that I have had that wasn't sliced. Overall, the food isn't terrible but not a place I'm interested in returning to.

I enjoy the food here, but not so much the service nor pricing. There's a front desk bottleneck, only one person juggling several different responsibilities: taking names for waitlist, answering phone, taking to go orders, processing order pickups and probably a few other things I'm missing. This meant that there was a wait to even get on the waitlist. Disclaimer: This may be less of a problem if you come outside of standard meal times. You have to be proactive/assertive about flagging someone down when you want service, for stuff like refills or the check, but this isn't a shortcoming that is specific to DFC. It's nearly the same at all Chinese cafe type restaurants in the area. Dim sum dishes are exceedingly expensive. $7.50 for ha gow is priciest I've seen in all of the restaurants of similar class in the area. It's good but there's nothing exceptional or gourmet about it to justify that price. Similar or identical dishes are easily had at other local options for $1-$3 less. Wife really enjoys the food here so we'll most certainly order to go in the future but unlikely to dine-in.

Ok place. If you need dim sum hit, this might do. Oddly, the dim sum pieces suffer from gigantusism making it not enjoyable. Everything is fresh though, but I won't return.

Appreciate they open between 3 and 5 so we could have a late lunch. Also serving dim sum during that hour which was a plus. The food was average, the kind that would fill you up but not something I would be impressed with or return to.

I was excited when the Arcadia location now have Corn Beef with Egg sandwich, however I was disappointed, they put onion and cheese in this sandwich 😳 which is a no-no! The San Gabriel location still has the best Corn Beef with Egg sandwich, which resemble the cafes in Hong Kong.

Overall I would say the restaurant is okay but needs some improvement. Most importantly, we were not greeted at all when we entered the restaurant. That's a pretty basic thing when you go out for dining. One of the food service employees was very nice and kind, but the woman who actually seated us did not even look at us or even say hello when we entered the restaurant. The manager, on the other hand, was very very polite and very thankful for our visit. I counted him saying thank you over 10 times! SUMMARY: I think the restaurant has a lot of potential for improvement, but they need to work on improving the level of their service, first and foremost. They should not be taking every Customer for granted 🙂

For parents with young kids, babies, or expecting mothers, it's probably better to skip the hype the first couple of weeks and go across the street to Garden Cafe. My wife, baby and I showed up grand opening weekend on Sunday at 9:45 AM and were told a 30-40 min wait for a table of 3. 30 minutes later, I'm told another 30-40 minutes. I come back at 10:50 and was told another 30 minutes to an hour. Waits should really never be this long for something pretty simple. They also didn't have take out due to their grand opening. Just skip it, I've heard other patrons saying other locations.I guess people were really going for that 50% discount. We went across the street at this point to Garden Cafe and got a seat immediately. They can't really estimate the time accurately so it's just a waste of time, many other parents with small kids and babies also left as I was leaving after hearing 60-90 minute wait time.

今天去食,試了兩件厚切西多士,不知所謂😡 有圖為正,呢啲叫做厚切西多士? 比兩舊厚方包,就叫厚切西多士😡😡,吾知個厨邊到來,吾該叫佢地,做得認真啲,真係極嬲😡😡 I went to eat today and tried two thick-cut French toasts. I don't know what they mean 😡 There are pictures for reference. Are these called thick-cut French toasts? Just two thick square breads, and they are called thick-cut French toasts 😡😡. I know the chef is here. I should call him and make it seriously. It's really annoying 😡😡

和别的原味店不同,这家的服务员特别差,叫来叫去都是敷衍,特别是有个女服务员一边打电话一边上菜

Disgustingly, horrible customer service. Male waiter with glasses spilled an entire glass of ice water on me which soaked my pants while he was placing items down on the lazy susan. Not only does he not even have the basic decency to apologize (He is a grown man, he should know better). Instead, he quickly grabs a mop while I'm trying to dry my pants with napkins. And rudely says, "STAND UP" as if I am a nuisance, so he can mop the water underneath my chair. This man absolutely hates the customers and hates his job. When confronted by his managers on why he didn't apologize, he tried stating that he didn't do it on purpose. Is he serious? Absolutely ridiculous. What a joke.

They dont actually offer their sino-western options even though they keep it menu. Super annoying if you come here for the hk cafe experience.

Had their breakfast combo take away. The porridge has no flavor, and so thick. Not authentic hong kong style. The pineapple bread is not good. Definitely won't recommend if you are looking for hk style breakfast

I never taste such bad cheese bake rice. I don't even know this tomato bake rice or cheese bake rice.. this is still not the worst part, the worst part is they have fcking green and red peppers in it... i had this cheese bake rice in another brunch in las tunas or even Alice kitchen and they taste great, but this is the worst..

They used to serve authentic and nice Hong Kong Cafe food. Now so many items are cancelled on the menu. Soooo disappointed! Not worth coming anymore! ; (

We attempted to have dim sum at Delicious Food Corner aka Tasty Spot and it was a disaster: We ate here because the wait was too long at another place that morning. The hosts are confused about customers waiting to be seated. Even when there are empty tables for 2, there are parties of 2 just waiting to be seated for a long time. Once you are seated, it is hard to get someone to take your order. Everyone is running around like crazy. It takes a really long time for the food to arrive, much longer than other dim sum places that are much busier than this. One of the dishes we ordered never arrived. We waited and waited and waited and finally decided to ask for the check and ask them not to charge for the missing dish. The only thing they did well was to charge the card!!! The dim sum was ok but this place is terrible. There is no manager to run it. We will not return. This place might close soon if they keep losing customers due this ongoing mess.

Used to love going here. The food itself is pretty good and has lots of varieties. However the services here are poor as it get more popular. Some of the Servers are super rude. When the restaurant is not that crowded yet but only big tables are left outside, they’ll push the small parties into that small room (that very stuffy and has an unpleasant smell). Despite we asked very nicely if we could just sit at one of the big table outside and said we’ll be quick. They give us a disgusting attitude and still try to shove us in that small stuffy room. We’re like fine not wanting to argue. Once going in that small room, we thought the first table near the door is our and was planning to sit there. But then that lady was like “no not this table. It that one over there” in a very rude tone.
