Hands down the BEST Greek seafood place in Astoria. Honestly, some of both the best seafood and Greek food in all of Queens. It’s also fairly priced. Everything is unbelievably fresh. The sides are good and they don’t charge an arm and a leg for simple Greek salad or grilled vegetables like other places. Philip and his mother, Jenny, are the most authentic and kind people out there. We bring friends and family from out of town and they are blown away. It’s not a fancy restaurant- it’s not supposed to be. It’s old school Astoria Greek but it’s warm, friendly and so so so so so good.
Came with some friends while visiting from out of town. Absolutely amazing food - everything was so fresh and delicious! We even had to come back again two days later because it was that good.
Great hospitality and great food, the octopus an branzino are out of this world. When arrived I was greeted by the owner and his mother very lovely people, the loukomades at the end closed the deal!!
Exactly what you would expect from Greek cuisine. The fish was perfectly cooked : juicy, flavorful, flaky, spotless deboning. The service was great too: the waitress was attentive, friendly, walked us and showed us the fish we were interested in, and helped us make good choices. The ambience was straightforward - you are here for the fantastic food primarily - with not too loud Greek music. Will 100% return , and recommend to others.
Came on a Monday to avoid crowds- they were still nearly full, but there was no wait. Pleasantly surprised by the calamari and raw oysters; the octopus was also 10/10, and the sea bass was good too Great variety with the ability to pick your selections at the front Philip (the manager?), was wonderful and even treated us to loukoumades on the house for dessert
No menu pick your own fish and have it cooked to your taste. Authentic no frill Greek spot with a casual atmosphere. The food is great
I cannot say enough good things about this spot!! Service is amazing, food is great- just such an amazing local gem. We go EVERY WEEK because we love it so much!
This is one of my favorite places the fish is excellent how they cook it how they prepare it I really love the shrimps excellent
Family day just got a whole lot better! We stumbled upon this gem and were blown away by the flavors, vibes, The service was top-notch - our servers were friendly and attentive the whole time. We devoured the grilled octopus, oysters, and whiting fish (which they highly recommended), paired with delicious Greek salad and lemon potatoes. Every bite was incredible! Can't wait to go back and do it all again."
Fantastic meal - everything was super fresh and delicious. The staff was very friendly and beyond welcoming. The patio was lovely as well. Will definitely be back!
Authentic Greek restaurant, came on a Sunday night and I could guess many of the customers were regulars who know the owner. Menu is only available on the wall so asking the server the recommendations worked out in this situation. We shared the red and white grilled snappers, grilled octopus, fried calamari, fried whitening, green salad, lemon potatoes and some white wine. Great selection of seafood, the fish was cooked just right preserving the fluffiness and juiciness. The fried dough with honey was the only dessert available which took a while to come out but I’m not complaining because I had great company!
We had a great meal at Elias Corner! The place is very nice and cozy, but also intimate if you're thinking about a cute date spot - like your neighborhood best family restaurant. We came here with our friends whom we haven't seen in a long while and were super happy with our dinner! Service was great - waitress was super patient in explaining how the ordering works (you order up front where you can see the seafood and veggie selections based on the daily menu), and what was on the menu (super impressive that she knew everything from memory). Food wise - seafood in general were all very fresh and grilled to perfection. The flavors were not super salty and are flavorful enough for you to appreciate the freshness and quality of the raw ingredients. I especially liked the grilled calamari - I am usually not a super big fan of fried calamari, so these grilled ones are awesome. The grilled octopus came next and was very flavorful and tender. For our main seafood, we ordered whole fish with bone - one black sea bass and one brazino - personally I liked the branzino more because it has more fat in the meat, so was softer in texture. I forgot to take a picture of the Tzatziki sauce but it was really good too! Goes really well with the bread on the house. I also really liked the Loukoumades (basically fried dough balls with syrup and cinnamon powder) that we had for dessert. Drinkwise - we ordered a pint (half a bottle) of chardonnay, and it went really well with the seafood. Strongly recommend if you don't have any dietary restrictions. The owner of the restaurant was super nice and patient in explaining the drink selections for us. Definitely looking to come back for another meal soon!
Beautiful decor, very fresh very authentic Greek food. There is no menu which we loved it. We just discussed with the server what we wanted to have for dinner. Everything was delicious and the servers made us feel like family. They also have offstreet parking which is rare in Astoria. Cash only
This restaurant got a very strong article about how it sourced fish in the NY Times. The fish we ordered (party of 6) was clearly fresh. The server (one person for 3 rooms, including the outdoor terrace) was overwhelmed. Later, the bartender came to help her clear tables. The server asked if we wanted salt on our fish. We said no, but it was noticeably salted anyway. The sides were badly under-seasoned and very bland. The bread was badly charred and oil and a very watery vinegar were provided after we requested it. The Greek salad only had oil on it. Couldn't taste the lemon in the Greek lemon potatoes. In an area known for its Greek seafood restaurants, this one doesn't really measure up. The 4-star rating is for the freshness of the fish only.
Food is decent, lovely outdoor space, the problem is our waitress of the night seemed nervous and our food took a longggg time to come, we pretty much finished one dish and waited an average of 30mins before another dish came. Portion was also on the smaller side. They also forgot to bring us complimentary bread we had to ask for it.
