Truly a gem! It took me a while to get to but totally worth it. I rarely like every dish I ordered but this is the place that each dish amazed me with both the taste and its creativity. The service is also very friendly and warm. Definitely recommend it if you wanna try out good food with cozy & nice atmosphere!

Found this CUTE restaurant while out exploring Astoria yesterday! They do Industry Night on Mondays and we will keep coming back for more!! Food is a 15 out of 10 and beverages are OFF the chart 🤷‍♂️ Only 16 seats, so get in where you fit in!

Ramro was excellent! We had the duck and pork momos, beef longanisa, skate, duck, gnocchi and saag paneer. When it came to dessert, my son asked “can we get another skate?” Flavors were balanced and full and the skate, beef longanisa and momos were the favorites for us. It is very cozy and homey and the service felt like family. Oh, and my watermelon cocktail was excellent too. We are so excited about Ramro being so close and in the neighborhood; this will be our new family favorite.

Incredible cocktails & insane flavor combinations. We rarely get to try Nepali flavors & the dishes here blew us a way. The momos & beef longanisa were mouth waterinly savory. The new ube gnocchi dish had the most delectable cream sauce, that had us wishing we'd ordered a second round. The Panda Sour & the Duck Duck Daiquiri had us savoring every last drop. The goat cheese ice cream was the perfect ending to our meal, it was perfectly smooth, rich, & sweet. Can't wait to come back!

My friends and I celebrated a birthday party with 12 guests and were completely blown away by the food and the hospitality. The duck, the trout, the skate, the beef longgasnia, the pork with pistachio-- everything was delicious. We did not want the night to end--Definitely our new favorite restaurant in all of NYC!

Incredible, creative and flavorful dishes. They created an amazing vegetarian version of the menu for me and all of the dishes were great. I especially enjoyed the beets, lasagna and mushrooms. Such a unique and wonderful experience - can’t wait to go back.

Ramro is a beautiful hidden gem in Astoria! A Filipino and Nepali food mixed together! It’s very original and extremely good. If you live in Astoria you should come here for a dinner out on a date or with a friend. This place is on the smaller side but it makes it up on being very intimate. The food is incredible! The service was outstanding and we only had one waiter/chef/bartender. Yep he did it all and he was phenomenal. (They don’t normally only have one chef but it was slow when we attended.) Honestly you should not miss this experience! We are going back for sure for the Ramro noodles and the momos! Oh my god so good!😊 10/10⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had an exceptional dining experience at Ramro. The intimate ambiance made it perfect for date night. We came for the 6-course tasting menu on a Saturday and were glad we made reservations in advance since seating is limited. Each course was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. My personal favorites were the appetizers, the crudo, and the saag pasta — all bursting with flavor. The duck was seared and cooked to perfection, and the Queen’s Crown cocktail was absolutely divine! The chef and service were top-notch, making the entire experience feel warm and thoughtfully curated. Highly recommend this gem in Astoria — don’t miss out on this unforgettable dining experience!

✨ Absolutely incredible! ✨ Everyone works with so much care and attention, and the whole experience was truly wonderful for me. The flavors were perfectly balanced, fresh, and simply outstanding. You can really feel the passion behind everything they do here. Highly recommended! I’ll definitely be coming back!

Had a fantastic dinner here from their a la carte menu - highlights for me were definitely the pork schnitzel, ramro noodles, walnut cauliflower and silvanas dessert. Everything was delicious!

I’ve eaten here twice now and both times the food was exceptional. The restaurant is cozy and the service is very personalized. Service is a bit on the slower slide but only because they cook everything fresh (open kitchen for you to observe, I love sitting by the bar). Any time there is a hiccup, they go out of their way to make it up to you. The food is worth the wait. My favorite is the duck and the noodles.

I’ve been wanting to come here for a long time but been pushing it off because I wasn’t too familiar with Filipino food and just by reading the menu didn’t give me a clear idea of what to expect. I’m glad we finally went because what really hooks you are the incredible flavors that cant be fully described. You have to come try it yourself. There seemed to be quite a few regulars during our visit. The restaurant is cozy and intimate with only 16 seats. Everything we had was good, but the trout really stood out. The skin was bursting with flavor despite appearing lighty seasoned. I believe it was torched, giving it a slightly crispy texture. The duck was also excellent, smoked and very tender. The duck fried rice was a chef’s kiss. Beef longganisa was another delicious dish. We will likely swap out momo and cauliflower for something else next time. Cannot wait to come back!

Ramro is a Hidden Gem 💎 in Astoria, it’s been on our list to visit for a few months and we had the pleasure of checking it out on a Friday night. I recommend grabbing a reservation. We got one less then an hour before arriving. It’s an intimate dinning experience in a cosy bar/restaurant with small plates and tasty drinks. The Nepalese and Filipino dishes were excellent and filling. We wanted to try all of the appetizers and were impressed with the quality. A highlight for me was the fried clamasi cauliflower with walnuts. It was delicious. We loved the orange cream cocktail as well. It reminded me of a drink I had in Iceland last summer that was a signature of a local bar. Overall we loved Ramro, look forward to trying out more.

We had such a lovely time at Ramro last night! We couldn’t help but try most of the menu since everything sounded delicious and we were not disappointed at all. The drinks were also amazing, especially the Shroomhattan and the Pandan Sour! We couldn’t be happier with our experience!! Thank you Ravi for your kindness and pleasant conversation, we can not wait to come back!

Every single bite was magnificent. The portions are a bit smaller, but it’s very clear how much love and labor goes into every single dish. Got a chance to talk to Ravi and his wife Gloria, who have put in so much work to get this place off the ground. Always happy to support a local Astoria biz! Highlights: wagyu beef balls, duck, & parmesan ice cream!!!

Very cute place and amazing food and drinks. The beef longganisa was so tender and flavourful, also enjoyed the momos and the walnut cauliflower. The portion on the mains is generous. A must visit place in astoria.

It is an amazing place runs by amazing people! We recently had a great date night here. The tasting menu is a must try. The owner and chef's passion towards food and drinks truly comes through in the six mind blowing dishes. We especially loved the calamansi ice cream - the flavor was already great but the secret szechuan peppercorn sauce on top made the dessert stand out even more (weird I know but it works!) We also tried the shochu based cocktails. The special flavors added by all kinds of creative spices were very memorable - couldn't believe I was drinking a shochu based Old Fashioned. If you enjoy classic cocktail flavors but can't handle the high proof liquors, their cocktails are kinda perfect. It was an amazing experience all in all. There was also a $40 wine pairing option when we went but we didn't participate.

We had a wonderful experience here in Ramro Restaurent. I will give full rating for the hospitality for sure. The food we had was full of flavor. The duck, pork, rice, all had their own distinct flavor. Hats off to the chef. Skewer mushroom was little under whelming compared to the rest of the food. I’m a beer person, so all options are craft but my wife enjoyed the cocktail.

Ramro never disappoints. We’ve been there twice and had a wonderful time each visit. The food is so creative and delicious, every ingredient goes harmoniously together. The cocktails are very impressive, the best ones I’ve ever had with Asian liquor. Ramro also has a warm and intimate setting, with friendly service. Highly, highly recommend this gem in Astoria.

We were excited to try this local gem. The staff were kind and helpful in explaining the menu. We ordered the momos, walnut cauliflower, kaldereta (lamb), sinaing (skate wing), ube ko achar, and for dessert, the silvanas and cheddar ice cream. Overall, the flavors were just okay and didn’t quite live up to the hype or reflect a strong signature style. That said, a few items stood out, particularly the ube ko achar and the desserts. The ube ko achar was a unique dish; you don’t often come across ube gnocchi, and it offered something different. The silvanas were nicely balanced and not overly sweet. The cheddar ice cream absolutely blew us away - the combination of cheddar and parmesan with the sweetness of the ice cream and a touch of olive oil was surprisingly well-balanced and memorable. I'd come back for the ice cream alone. Still, as a whole experience, it didn’t quite win us over. It was worth trying once.

I wanted to love this place, as the couple who runs this restaurant is super sweet and friendly. But most of the dishes needed more flavor. The momos were super bland and the sauces didn’t go well with it at all. The crudo needed more acid and salt, without the fish left a fishy taste in my mouth. The duck didn’t have much flavor and the skin was chewy instead of crisp. Trout, beef skewers and fried rice were the better dishes. Dessert medicine as well. But a cute spot in the neighborhood to have something different. They just need to up the cooking a little bit to be a gem.

Pretty solid food, but nothing blew me away and nothing was very memorable. Some of the dishes were too heavy (the skate wing main, although the texture of the fish was great), some were too light (the crudo, which was also super fishy), and overall the flavor profile was relatively one-dimensional and there was always something wrong/missing with each dish. The duck was disappointingly very dry, as pictured. The ice cream was a highlight and the crispy bits were delightful! Overall, glad I gave Ramro a try and I still enjoyed the dinner, but this restaurant probably isn’t worth a second visit.

Tasting menu ("Chef's Counter") review: TL;DR: Good ideas, small portions, not worth the money. - Aperitif: A nice touch but a bit strong, depending on your alcohol tolerance. - Sisig Hopia: Probably the most creative dish of the bunch. Cute canapes with distinctly Filipino ingredients and Himalayan influences. The rice puff on the far right was standout. - Hamachi: I *guess* this was their attempt at kinilaw, but it just felt like any other crudo/ceviche dish that every restaurant has on their summer menu. Delicious, sure, but not remarkable - Lumpiang Seriwa: A total miss. The cabbage wrap was undercooked, making it too hard and chewy to enjoy. There wasn't enough sauce to accompany the completely bland and unseasoned vegetables, and what sauce there was shouldn't have been sweet. - Skate: The most generously portioned of the courses. A large, perfectly fried slab of skate that was crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and peppery throughout. The accompanying coconut amarillo sauce was nice, but common. - Long Island Duck: Tiny, tiny slabs of generically seared duck accompanied by a miniscule stalk of fermented greens that were way too salty, and fried rice that was under-seasoned. This was such a disappointing finish, both in terms of flavor and creativity, to say nothing of portion size. - Digestif: Another nice thought, but way too strong for most people. If port and turpentine had an illegitimate love child, it might've tasted like this. - Calamansi Ice Cream: A refreshing dessert, yes, but I couldn't really taste any calamansi flavor, sadly. The accompanying Filipino donut sticks were nice though. For drinky drinks, get the Golden Leaf if you want sober pandan or the Orange Cream if you want sober creamsicle. If you're craving ethanol, try the beautiful Origami for fruity and bold, or the Negroni for a more citrusy take on the classic. While the service was friendly, and the space was cute (if tiny), I just can't see myself coming back for this $100 tasting menu unless they seriously up their portions or design a menu that more consistently showcases creative Filipino/Nepalese flavors. Right now, it feels like Ramro is still in its "audition" phase.
