i was looking for new smoothie spots to try out and i ran into this little spot and i was completely satisfied from the options they offered and the service they gave me. As i walked in i was greeted with a huge smile from Lesly, she made it really easy for me to settle in. This will be my new go to spot.

Me and my sister made it 10 minutes before closing, and Akil was the kindest worker I've ever met. He was so kind to make our drinks even though there was other customers, ensuring that we got the smoothie we wanted. He was so patient, and you could tell making sure everything is perfect before giving it to us, overall just a really hard worker.

Wow.. this is good. Perfect treat after hot yoga. Icey and smoothe like creme at the same time. Bae says it tastes pretty good too. She likes the quality cups and plastic straws. I got the peanut butter protein smoothie. Bae the jetty punch. There was plenty of seating. The place was mostly full of customers on a late Monday evening. The workers were getting out orders quick. 8/21 - Stopped in after hot yoga. Peanut paradise breeze was delicious. Service was also great. Bumping up rating for service from 4 to 5 stars. Based off the combined visits experience. 9/15 Came after yoga again. I was feeling a smoothie on the icey side. With a cup made to keep it cool.

On my way to work this morning, I saw that Tropical Smoothie Café has finally opened here in Astoria. This is my first time in a Tropical Smoothie Café. I found out that they are a chain with hundreds of locations nationwide. Their newest location opened yesterday on busy Steinway Street next to Prince Tea House. It’s nice to have more healthy food options here. The menu offers made to order salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, wraps and (of course) smoothies. They also have vegan, gluten-friendly options and a kids menu. I ordered a Sunrise Sunset smoothie and an All American Wrap. The Sunrise Sunset smoothie is made with strawberries, pineapples, mango, and orange juice. It was really refreshing, slightly sweet and tangy, thick, and delicious. Their regular size is pretty big, and I had trouble finishing this. I thought it was a good bargain for $4.99. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel the same about the All American Wrap which consisted of eggs, bacon, cheddar and mozzarella. It was also $4.99 and it tastes fine the portion was kind of small. I would probably skip their Breakfast options and stick with other items like the flatbread which looks amazing. I’m planning on trying that on my next visit. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Their recommendation of the Sunrise Sunset smoothie was spot on. They are giving out vouchers for a Buy One Get One Free on any smoothie or food item. Make sure to grab one by the registers. Bae chose this spot because we wanted a refreshing smoothi after yoga. I got the jetty punch. Next time I wanna get the one with the blueberries and banana and strawberry. 10/10. I cant stop sipping it.

I ordered online from this place and let me say the quesadilla was delicious but the açaí bowl definitely disappointed it’s extremely sweet doesn’t seem natural and seems like it’s not made instantly rather than pre made blueberries taste artificial they aren’t fresh blueberries. fruit seems to be thrown onto the bowl without caring i had like a full half of a banana on my normal and a whole strawberry uncut.

Formal Complaint Regarding Visit to Tropical Smoothie Café Store #NY 070 Dear Tropical Smoothie Café Customer Care, I’m writing to formally share my experience at Store #NY - 070 on February 13, 2026, around 8:37 p.m. The environment was concerning: loiterers and individuals using drugs were inside the lobby, making it difficult even to reach the counter. Once I did, there was no organized line, and the staff seemed inattentive. Worse, the smoothie maker’s shirt was visibly dirty—raising food safety concerns. More alarmingly, a young man, who had been sitting in the lobby in outerwear, went behind the counter without washing his hands, wearing no gloves, and still in his outer clothing, to prepare food. My partner’s smoothie had suspicious clumps of white powder, while mine tasted incorrect. I also observed dirty blenders and poor cleaning practices, which I find unacceptable as a food safety-licensed individual. Overall, this visit fell far below expectations. I ordered an açaí bowl and added mango and pineapple. The mango was fermented, the blueberries were not fresh and mushy, and the açaí purée wasn’t really a purée but more like juice. On top of that, there was an excessive amount of honey, though I’m not even sure it was real honey — more like sugar syrup. The whole thing was overly sweet, stuffed into a tiny jar, and tasted terrible. This is the worst thing I’ve eaten in a long time. According to the label, it wasn’t even fresh — it was prepared 11 days ago and was basically expired!

Do not be fooled. This place currently has a C on the NYC Health Food Inspection site. The restaurant took down their physical C rating and put up their older grade pending sign. People who buy from here are unaware of what is going on in their kitchen and the 53 violations they currently have.

My order was confirmed pick up at 9:22 so you can’t even say I waited too long to pick it up cuz the picture was taken at 9:24pm as I sat down to eat it. The fruits were also not fresh and the mangos were basically hard and not ripe. Don’t order their açaí bowls, it sucks.

I came in to get a free smoothie with $2 purchase from tmobile Tuesday. I decided to do a $11 purchase with the hummus wrap. There was one lady working. She was very friendly, yet overwhelmed with in person and online orders. She made my smoothie and I waited for the wrap. As I waited I heard a loud sound and saw a long silver rod was broken and leaning to the right on the front door, causing a hazardous condition for customers entering and existing the establishment. I waited for half an hour for my wrap and it still wasn't ready. Most of my one hour break was gone by now. Finally a second young lady came in to help. I approached her to ask about my wrap. When I approached her, I noticed her rolling her pants up as there was a huge puddle of water on the floor behind the counter about two feet wide and six feet long. She was very friendly and understanding. She began to work on my wrap right away. I wondered if I should be eating a wrap from a store with a flood in the food prep area. She gave me my wrap and said sorry we ran out of lettuce. I hope you can understand. I was frustrated and upset, yet I felt bad for thier poor work environment so I didn't complain. Next time I will just get a bag of $2 chips to get the free smoothie, instead of watching hard working friendly women work in hazardous conditions.

We waited 30 minutes for one smoothie with only two customers in front of us. The smoothie was definitely not made correctly.

Disgusting. i grew up in florida and worked at the first ones to open so i know what a thai chicken wrap is supposed to taste like. this one was actually gross compared to what im used to. one of the grossest things ive had in a while actually. dry crumbly tortilla, freezer burnt tasting chicken, cardboard tasting stale won ton, orange duck sauce instead of peanut, wilted brown lettuce, just nasty.

Honestly this has to be the worse tropical smoothie establishment in NY ... all the ones in long island are freaking amazing ! The people that work there are pleasant, kind, welcoming, and get the recipes right. Queens ! Literally its like visiting a whole different franchise ... its like they have another recipe book or the workers just could care less about their job and no its not cause the workers are young ... long island tropical smoothies are full of young people working there and their work ethic is just in them .... here in queens its literally a 0/10. Theyre either not hiring the right people or no proper training is provided to these kids. Don't have high expectations from this location.
