Tasty food and great service. Really enjoyed our meal here. The brisket and sprouts were particularly good. Servers were so lovely and explained the items we were unfamiliar with. Would definitely recommend!

Was a guest here for a wedding rehearsal dinner and the food was amazing. Brisket was moist and tender with great flavor. Jalapeno sausage was delicious as well. Really enjoyed all the sides. They had a bar setup, catering style food was served, and plenty of room in the back area.

First time eating here, was recommended by a family friend and IT LIVED UP TO THE HYPE! Highly recommend the pork ribs! The flavor, seasoning and tenderness are UNMATCHED! Also recommend the shells and cheese Gouda and Serrano Brussels sprouts! Stitch sausage is also great! Try the sauces as well!

November 2023: I ordered the Smoked Bone-In Ham for Thanksgiving Day and since we was there to pick it up decided to order and enjoy a nice lunch. I had planned ordering turkey (for thanksgiving) but their Tuesday special was Fried Chicken with Mashed Potatoes. I could not resist and ordered it. The staff was super nice and friendly. The plate consisted of two pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes, biscuit, side of raspberry sauce, and side of gravy. The chicken was soft on the inside with a superbly tasting crust on the outside. It had great flavor. The biscuit was just as good with a honey glaze on it and the potatoes were perfect. Next time will get the turkey. December 2022: 1 Meat with 2 Sides Plate I returned to the Switch and ordered a 1 Meat with 2 sides plate. My selections were Turkey, Mac & Cheese, and Potato Salad. The place still maintained the Texas style BBQ atmosphere and great service. The turkey was so tasty and nice big slices. I have had this before and really enjoyed it. This place is a great hangout and have a beer too. Older: Oak Smoked Fried Chicken Wings There are a lot of excellent BBQ places in and around Austin and this one is one of them. The Switch is close to my home so my wife and I regularly dine in or take out here. Depending on which day you arrive will affect on how you order where sometimes you are quickly seated at the table or walk up and order you meal. Sometimes we sit at the bar or in a booth. I ordered the 1/2 dozen Oak Smoked Fried Chicken Wings and side of Potato Salad. They are one of the best chicken wings out there. They had a wonderful bbq flavored taste to them and enjoy eating them. The BBQ here has its own distinct flavor from other places. The bar has a nice selection of local craft brew and other choice of drinks. The atmosphere was great and the staff is very friendly. And as you leave you can walk by the smokers to see the engine of this place. Smoked Turkey BLT Another trip to my most visited BBQ place this year where I ordered the Smoked Turkey BLT. I tried a new item off the menu to change things up. I sat in a booth this time where first had to order my food. My order was delivered to my table. The BLT looked pretty big from my vantage point where it was cut in half and stacked on one another with a side of fries. The Turkey was big slices along with tasty crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado mash, and mayo kept together with buttery Texas toast It was just a very good sandwich and filled me up for the day and beyond. Not sure if the turkey made me sleepy later in the day but next time skip breakfast before tackling this again.

First time experience was great. We didn't bring our dog because we weren't sure of their pet policy. They said they allow pets on the patio and even gave us some BBQ for our pup to take home. The Cubano sandwich and brisket enchiladas were yummy. We will definitely be back for the brisket next time. I have gone back several times. Everything I've had has been delicious. Get the onion rings!

Hush puppies!! A happy surprise was receiving complimentary hush puppies upon sitting down at our table for dinner. They are mighty tasty! They’ll even bring you more if you ask. We are fans of the original Stiles Switch on Lamar and we’re pleasantly surprised to dine at this hill country location. They do the normal counter style service during lunch but for dinner you place your order and then sit at an assigned table. We tried their beef rib and grits dish and smoked chicken piquant with their corn casserole. They have table service for drinks and you can order more items with them. The location is very spacious and has a well designed interior.

The space is beautiful and very well done - would be great for a party / event. The food was all spot on - we had the following Cobb Salad - $14 overpriced for a salad but it was delicious. Large portion Gumbo - $10 only item we wouldn’t re-order, not bad, just nothing spectacular Frito Pie - $12.50 delicious, large portion Boudin - $6.50 good and a full link 1/2# Brisket - $11 really good 1/2# Pork Ribs - $9 delicious Beans, Potato Salad both good Peach Cobbler - delicious The initial seating is odd, you check in with the hostesses, get menus and an assigned table, then order at the counter, proceed to your assigned table and then it’s full service. It’s not bad, just odd. We will absolutely be back - food is spot on - staff is very helpful and seem to really love where they work which speaks volumes. Wonderful addition to Dripping and South Austin.

Good place, great service, good food! A bit disappointed in the jalapeño sausage where the cheese inside was like cold and dry so ended up trying to remove it, the rest was good for a decent price. I got the family player which has a bit of everything and it was good In terns is side we tried the beans, a bit undercooked, Brussels sprouts were great so was the salad. Bbq sauce proved was basically liquid which was a let down Overall good experience

This is probably one of the driest cuts of brisket I’ve ever had. Considering the price they charge for supposed “Prime” brisket is comical. In addition the house made sauce tastes like watered down tomato sauce. Overall, really disappointed with the quality and flavor, or lack-there-of I should say of the food.

Today we walk up to south Austin location and asked for to go items… As you can see when we came home and got it open the surprise came… extra small bbq sauce? Really? Pickles? 5 slices at best? Onions. 4 pieces of bread for 1.5 pounds beef…. But you know what, the deal breaker is bbq sauce! I want my money back
