This is one of Dallas's newer locations but the hotdogs are just as good. If you are a tourist coming into the Kingston area you haven't really visited unless you had a Dallas Hot Wiener.

Not much has changed with Dallas since I was a kid. This is why it has been successful and will continue to be so for years to come. While this location is newer, it has the same feel as the Broadway location and has the same good service. It's great to see the people of my grandparents generation enjoying a good old-fashioned meal as well the folks of my parents generation bringing in their grandkids to have what we've always had.

My husband enjoys the food and prices here a lot, he really enjoys the special sauce they use. I don't eat meat so I order fries and their vegetable souvlaki (it is cold & just lettuce, tomato & onion on pita bread).It really doesn't live up to the vegetable souvlaki that Kings Restaurant & Pizza has, theirs is a lot better and it is hot sauteed vegetables.

The hot weiner with everything is truly unique and wonderful. Their fries are perfect, the place is spotlessly clean and everyone there is nice. My favorite treat every Friday afternoon after work.

A local institution! Consistently Yummy. Just ate w/ Pop at the Lake Katrine shop. About 3pm. Steady foot traffic came and went. Our waitress was prompt and had our Order at the table within minutes👍. Great menu selection and the prices are totally reasonable. The parking is a little wonky but not unmanageable. I've always been a fan of Dallas Hot Weiners!! I always went to the one on Broadway in my high school days. At this particular location, me and my boyfriend have been here twice so far and we have NO complaints!! The staff is friendly, always smiling and laughing. These people know how to provide high standard customer service!

Great spot. Their sauce is iconic. I went today and had an older waitress with black hair and she forgot that I wanted cheese and sauce fries, 3 times! When she finally gave me my fries they were drenched in cheese and disgusting. I've been going to dallas for over a decade. The service is always good but today was disastrous.

I'll never forget the time my dad who grew up locally in the area cajoled me in to trying my first Dallas Hot Weiner. It's hard to describe and perhaps a bit of an acquired taste. Sadly I'm not longer able to enjoy them with him but it'll always be a connection. Do yourself a favor and just try it.

I've been coming to Dallas Hot Wiener for 20 years, and it never disappoints. It's worth the 30-mile drive there to get some of the best hot dogs in the area. A nice family owned business that prides itself on quality. The restaurants are always clean and the staff is always the friendliest. I love the atmosphere of an old style diner type as well. The Dallas Hot is my ultimate favorite. A hot dog with special sauce and onions on a steamed bun. Another have to get every time for me is cheese fries which you can also put Dallas hot sauce on. The chicken tenders are perfectly cooked and huge. Also, be sure to try their milkshakes. I love that there's 3 locations in Kingston to visit, so no matter what side of Kingston you're on, there's always one close by.

My wife's a Hudson Valley girl and introduced me to Dalllas Hot Weiners some years ago. At this point, I think I've been to most of the locations, and they are consistently great. My favorite combo is a couple of the standard dogs (boiled dog, onions, and special sauce) with an order of fries (careful, they are delivered hot out of the fryer). My wife's a big fan of their milkshakes. Prices are very good and cash only. Can't go wrong here.

I've been to all four locations and one thing I can say is that they have a great deal of consistency when it comes to their food. Grab a dog with any of your classic ny toppings on a warmed bun, try their secret sauce on a dog or fries and cheese and sauce fries. Limited menu for the healthy eater but a good option is grilled chicken souvlaki served on a warm pita with garlic tzatziki

The older woman with black hair was blatantly rude to customers and her own co worker. She ignored her tables as they asked questions when she dropped their food off and said aloud to her co worker “good I’m glad you’re getting that” about my order in a very condescending tone. I’ve never known Dallas to have rude staff members I’ve always felt welcomed. I understand it was busy, but the coworker, young girl curly hair light eyes remained calm, very sweet and helpful. Bad attitude definitely wasn’t a good look for this establishment as I grew up going here and considered it a family place.

I always really liked this guys. I'm glad they opened this fairly new location. Their hot dog sauce is great, but being a Jersey boy I always wished they used Sabrett hot dogs with their awesome sauce..but it still works. The fried food is always very good. The employees are fast and polite for the most part. Prost!

Solid dogs. The meat is not as good as Nathan's dog, but it is better than Ballpark. The chili/sauce they put on their Dallas Dog is pretty good. It definitely has some warm notes, maybe cumin and nutmeg. I love the mini diced onions. Potato salad was meh. Would definitely return.

We ordered take out here on a very busy weekday evening. We ordered 4 Dallas wieners, a cheeseburger, and sides of cole slaw and macaroni salad. Unfortunately, the food didn't weather the ride home as well as I'd hoped. The weiners and cheeseburger weren't as good as they would have been had we eaten them at the restaurant (a typical result of transporting food home). The flavors were still good but the texture suffered. I'm sure my rating would be higher if eating at the restaurant.

I have always loved hot weiners. I remember when it was uncle George's and Milton ran the place. They used Tobins first prize franks and the sauce was perfect every time. You knew what you were gonna get when you went there. Now the sauce in inconsistent, the hotdogs are never hot, the buns are seldom steamed and the hot dogs are mushy. Sometimes good but sometimes not good. The onion rings are amazing and their burgers are tasty.

Lived in the small town there for a few months, locals love it but it’s really just a hot dog. Taste like it’s not beef also. Shakes and burgers were way better !!! Upstate NY lacks a lot including food, the towns really dead. They have a mall that’s got maybe 10 stores in it. Sad economy in Ulster county. Great place to visit on a camping trip or to Ski. Other then that I’m lost on how people make it there !!!!

We love Dallas hot weiners but yesterday we were so disappointed. The onions had no flavor. And the sauce was not up to there usual flavor. It was actually very tasteless.

I use to eat here every day until I moved out of state in 2016 I always stop by for a few Texas weiners and sauce fries when ever I'm in town. But I've noticed that it's not tasting the same as it did in past years. I have been eating Dallas hot weiners since the 1960s on north front st. Uptown Kingston back when 3 hot weiners would cause a sweet to form on your forehead but now you can eat 7 or 8 and the only thing you get is full. But today I stopped by and I didn't even enjoy the flavor of the sauce it was almost a sour taste to my tongue. I guess I won't be craving Dallas anymore 😭

I usually have good things to say about here but not this time. The fries came out after the rest of our food because "They totally forgot about them." In order to pay I was charged $3 for an ATM fee because they don't take cards. Take the drive and go to the one on Saugerties.

Bland boiled hotdogs. Definitely not so hot weiners. On par with dirty water dogs from a pushcart. Definitely doesn't live up to the hype. Big disappointment because of the rave reviews

This is the 2nd time that the Hot Dog Sauce was watered down, tasteless and nothing like what we get from Kingston or Saugerties. First time was sitting for lunch and second was getting sauce to go. Shame on the Lake Katrine site trying to ruin years of a great reputation .

Went to the Lake Katrina location, food was amazing as usual however the waitress Rose refused to take me and my children’s order. As soon as we sat down she made eye contact with me and continued on to the next customer that sat after us. After 10 minutes of waiting I asked if someone could take our order. At that point another waitress came over and said I’m sorry she “Rose” refused to take your order. I was in complete shock! More people continued coming in and Rose went right to take their orders no hesitation. Then in the middle of us eating she took our ketchup bottle that was on the edge of the table and never returned it, didn’t even ask us if it was ok. I did complain to the cashier once we paid but I sure hope no one else has to experience this.

Hot dogs are very poor quality with no flavor. The brown stuff they put over it is tasteless and definitely not Hot. What they called coleslaw is merely dry sliced cabbage. I was challenged to detect any dressing in it. What a lunch spoiler. At least the frozen onion rings brought something of a taste and good friend fulfillment. I believe a true Texan from Dallas would be ashamed this place bears their name.

My take out order was incorrect. I went back for a refund and was treated poorly, given an attitude and not fully compensated. This Dallas in Lake Katrine will NEVER get mine or my family and friends business ever again!

Imagine dollar store wieners in a microwave for 15 seconds, add spoiled slaw or salty diluted hot sauce and serve with frozen fries. 90 years? The bar is pretty low I guess.

Kids were starving before so back in the car to load up the car seats and find another place.... This day in age get it together, plus how is that legal
