In a huge stroke of luck, this spot was at the end of our apartment building. We popped in the first day out of convenience and then came back a few times because it was great! Filled with locals and students at all hours it’s a fun vibe inside and out. Great food from sandwiches to salads to burgers and Albodingas. Their Sangria was my favorite in the city. Great prices and service, fast even as busy as they were. A fun time was had by all.

The Bar Estudiantil is a veritable institution in Barcelona, a must!! Excellent value for money, a large menu and excellent food! Every meal is home made with local ingrédients. The service team is super dynamic, friendly, always ready to meet their customers' needs in record time and always with a smile. A special « thank you » to the « Night Shift », who left me a very friendly and professional memories! I'll be back without hesitation and I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience a real moment of Barcelona-style conviviality!

My family and I loved this place! The vast majority of the food was absolutely delicious (to the point where we are planning to come back before we leave the city). The calamari, both the fried and grilled version, were DELICIOUS. We’d also highly recommend the club sandwich and the Serranito baguette sandwich, they were both excellent. Highly recommend!

The amount of food endorphins that were being realsied when I ate here. Food is 11/10, Really good portions, at a great price and you get a bear with your Spaghetti, which is an added bonus. Right across Barcelona university, this bar offers a large terrace where to enjoy a quick bite, their torado and pan con tomato are amazing, while sipping a decent cafe con lecce. A good address to steam off the busier area of the city center, personally I enjoy having a quick breakfast there prior taking the metro and go to meetings.

My favourite place for breakfast both times I’ve visited Barcelona. It was lovely to come back again to Bar Estundantil and see Mariano still here. He’s wonderful to chat to and very good at keeping all customers happy. Bar Estundantil serve lovely breakfast and lunches for an incredible price and the service is great. My favourite breakfast is the Healthy oat, yoghurt and fruit bowl. Just over 5 euros for a really good portion with lovely fresh fruit it’s such a lovely start to the day and it includes a coffee! For lunch I highly recommend the club sandwich. Not just students eat and drink here. It’s got a mix of everyone. I love it that it is a good location that’s slightly quieter than the middle of the city, but you can still get a sunny spot outside. Yet it’s still quiet and not like UK Student bars. Very relaxed and unhurried. Good and drink will not cost you a fortune, but the service you receive will leave you feeling like you have, as it’s great place. Find it just opposite Barcelona University on Gran Via. Thanks Mariano and team and all the best until next time I hope.

It was my another visit in Barcelona and Bar Estudiantil is “must have” point. During this short trip I’ve visited them twice. The best patatas bravas and croquetas in Barcelona, delicious sandwiches and perfect service. BIG THANK YOU to Mariano from Gosia and Tamara :). We loved this little cafe, which serves great variety of tapas. Obviously, the location is perfect and it is considered a student bar, but you can find different people, tourists as well. Since the food is very tasty and the prices are affordable, it is highly recommended. Also, the service is great, all the people working there were extremely nice and friendly. For the desert, try their amazing brownies with vanilla ice cream.

Just had mixed paella and loved it, partner had pork loin with chips and salad and loved his too. Waiter brought some olives to enjoy while we waited for our food and we told him we didn't like olives so he brought us some mixed nuts which were gorgeous and I love nuts!! haha. Would definitely go back if I was staying longer in Barcelona but off to Sitges for a week.

Las veces que he ido a este restaurante ha sido para pedir bocadillos para llevar, al estar enfrente de la universidad, no puedo opinar de otros servicios. Variedad de bocadillos a buenos precios, personal amable y atento. Intentan servirte rápido pero a ciertas horas hay que esperar un rato a la cocina. La última vez me decepcionó porque andaban escasos de tortilla de patatas y los bocadillos fueron muy justitos, poco que ver con el día anterior.

L'estudiantil es un clásico que se encuentra en una situación privilegiada. Es perfecto para una copa rápida o para picar algo antes de salir de fiesta por la zona. Debo decir que las patatas bravas han mejorado con el tiempo. El precio sigue siendo su punto débil.

Mítico bar en pleno centro, abierto desde 1930, a 5min caminando de plaza Cataluña y con una mezcla de estudiantes (como su nombre indica) y de turistas. Tiene un comedor dentro enfrente de la barra, baños abajo y una terraza grande muy concurrida, que está abierta todo el año y que da a plaza universidad. Se trata de un sitio donde puedes desayunar,comer y cenar, con un horario realmente amplio. Ideal para tomar algo y unas tapas rápidas o bocadillos.

Llevo 3 años yendo mínimo 2 veces por semana. Todos los camareros nos conocen y se saben lo que pedimos. Si la reseña la hubiese puesto hace dos dias le habria puesto 5 estrellas porque la verdad que el trato y la comida súper bien. He llegado hoy y he descubierto que habían subido mínimo 1€ todos los desayunos. No entiendo como un bar que se supone que es estudiantil ahora me cobren precio de turista y menos mal que uno de sus camareros nos ha avisado y no ha actuado como habrían hecho muchos: sorprendernos al final con el precio. Hoy han perdido a un grupo de clientas habituales, a partir de ahora nos vamos a ir a desayunar a la 365. Una vergüenza.

Típico bar de batalla situado en la plaza de Universitat. Raciones a compartir de un tamaño aceptable (muy ricas las bravas), a precio razonable en relación calidad/precio y con un servicio amable y rápido por parte del personal. Por poner un pero (importante): pedimos unas papas con huevos rotos con el jamón aparte (no como carne), nos dijeron que sin problema y al traerlas tenían incluido el jamón… Aún así, buena opción si estás por Universitat y buscas sitio decente y barato.

It's not mentioned in the menu, so the price was not known, when the bill came we found the cost - 8.5 euros, relatively expensive for such a place. Check in advance.

VAYA SINVERGÜENZAS. Llevo más de dos años yendo casi a diario con mis amigas, todos los camareros saben lo que pedimos cada una de nosotras. Pues hoy, gracias a uno de ellos que nos ha hecho mirar la carta, hemos visto que han subido los precios MÁS DE UN EURO. ¿Perdona? ¿Bar estudiantil o bar de guiris? Me parece fatal que hayan subido tanto los precios. De pagar 3,90€ por un bocadillo de tortilla de patatas y un café a tener que pagar más de 5€, ¿hola? Ni de coña. A partir de ahora nos iremos a las 365 que al menos tiene precios de estudiantes DE VERDAD. Y los bocadillos son más grandes. Nos encantaba el ambiente y el trato de todos los trabajadores, pero no vamos a pagar tanto dinero por un triste bocadillo.
