Best service from any taco cabana I’ve been to. Zach the front cashier is very kind, true MVP. Can’t forget the chef either, didn’t catch his name but pretty tall with some tattoos, also super respectful and kind. Definitely would come back again.

When I entered no one was at the register, and sure enough, within seconds someone was standing there now waiting for me to approach the counter. She was very thorough when explaining the combos to me and there was what I assumed to be a manager overseeing everything from a distance. Everyone was extremely nice. The gentleman that brought my food out, Jay, was phenomenal! He informed me of the small wait for what I ordered and promptly got my order out to me. They were obviously short staffed but I couldn't complain not once throughout my entire visit here. I'll definitely be coming back! Update: her name was Kristin

We did a door dash order from Taco Cabana and door dash only brought us half our food. After door dash gave us a horrible experience, we called taco cabana and spoke to Ricky. He was so kind and helpful and he made us our food fresh so we could come get it. Great service and kindness! Especially when it wasn’t even their fault. 5 Stars!

I went in with some very specific it difficult dietary needs to meet. They were gracious and filled my dietary needs with enthusiasm and kindness. Every single one of them that was working on Sunday Oct 1st 2:15 pm deserves a special thanks from management!!! We ate in the car so can’t speak for atmosphere but they’re definitely wasn’t atmosphere of willingness to be of service. Food was fresh and delicious

We showed up at 06:45 am in the drive-thru. The lady on the intercom was nice, greeted us, and said she was the only one there. Our box of tacos was prepared and didn't take that long. Our thanks to the lone employee. I hope her day gets better!

Very clean and welcoming! I only went for the margaritas and they were delicious. I got a mangonada flavor and it was everything I needed it to be! Salsa bar looks super fresh and restroom was very clean. Over all I enjoyed my visit at this location.

I got the kickin nachos with the guacamole and queso on the side and add a shredded cheese. It came in a pizza box and it was a big amount. It was super delicious and they gave me so much queso and guacamole that I had some leftover for later lol. The only thing is I didn’t really get but three jalapeños and I had gone through the drive-through so I didn’t go back. We also ordered a chicken bacon ranch taco and that was delicious as well!

Great location. I stop just about every morning and the staff is amazing they remember me and always greet me with a smile. Morning staff is the reason I return almost every morning. The manager a sweetheart! She's so kind and always smiling. Young man at the counter is the sweetest guy! And the kitchen staff I see every morning preparing food whether I go through drive thru or order online are awesome! Never any issues with my order! Thank you TC and your amazing morning staff!

I went on December 5 around 9pm for a grub after a school performance. Writing this to compliment the 2 staff I saw working there. When I entered I noticed the staff was cleaning and I instinctively asked if they were closing. The guy smiled and said no. We ordered 2 flauta combos + sopapillas. The flautas were hot & crunchy. The sopapillas were not soggy! The restaurant was clean. It was a young black guy and latina woman working. I saw him take out the trash, and the Latina woman continuing to sweep. She even checked on us as we ate. Thank you.

Tasty breakfast tacos and good fresh flour tortillas! Service could be friendlier. The tall guy at the register taking orders doesn’t smile or greet you. I’ve been here many times and all I get first is, “For here or to go?”. No smile. No hello. No welcome to Taco Cabana.

This is usually one of my favorite TC's and have never had issues before, but was disappointed upon realizing they hadn't provided my guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo (which I paid extra for) when I arrived home. Food was still good but would definitely double check your order before heading home.

Food was fantastic and my order was accurate. They are short staffed like the rest of the service industry, but with the people they had they did hustle it out impressively quickly. I was still late getting back to my own service industry job even though I ordered ahead. But that didn't break my heart much.

I try and stay positive or not say anything, but the lady at the counter not professional at all. We got ten breakfast tacos, seems like the tortillas get smaller with each visit and the filling is not adequate in any sense. What is happening to Taco Cabana? I ate at the first TC in San Antonio in 1979-1980. We've always had TC at least once a week until recently. We've eaten at TC in Dallas, College Station, Waco, Austin, Houston, Temple, San Antonio and most recently Bastrop and all have been slow (order for 2 has taken up to 30 min!), bathrooms dirty, floors dirty, condiment bar near empty, napkins out, ice out, so slow to order and checkout... so sad. The food has really begun to suffer with stale taco shells, stale taco bowls, hardly any meat on quesadillas, stale nachos. Many stores have gone to Pepsi products, which we won't even eat at any more. Hardly any patrons in the stores. Too bad, so sad. Hope it resurrects soon.

I gave the service 4 stars because my order was wrong and the manager who was running the register was nowhere to be found. One of the cooks from the back took the time and initiative to make my order right. Cudos to you. The cooks in the back were very nice and helpful. The manager was not, even when she took my order it was like she was angry and distracted and then she disappeared completely.

Oh man, it was unfortunate! I went there after years of absence and it was horrible! Grease was steadily pouring out of my burrito and made it inedible. It was ridiculous. I make chorizo and I don't mind some grease, that's how you know it is yummy, but this literally looked like they ladled grease out of the bottom of a container. They also don't have salsa ranch anymore. The salsa bar used to be awesome, but this time the pico was soggy and very unappetizing. Also, waited 30 minutes in a nearly empty restaurant for ONE burrito. Everyone else (3 people in two groups) was waiting forever as well. The cashier was sweet, although seemed new or clueless, not a big deal. I won't be coming back, especially to this location.

We visited this location after a long day at work. We were tired and hungry, hungry and tired! We picked up the kids n drove over so I didn't have to make dinner. We got there and there was no one inside. No customers and no employees. We then heard some people in the back. We weren't greeted for like a whole 5 minutes, then an older lady came to take our order but first told us everything they were out of, it was only 7pm. We the. Had a offer on the taco cabana app, she didn't know how to apply it so we had to wait for someone to help her. Then our food took over 20 minutes to co.e out. No apology or anything. The food was hot n fresh, so that was good. We like taco cabana but probably won't stop at this location anymore unless we aren't hungry n tired.

Our order took forever to get done! We had a couple of taco combos and a quesadilla. We went straight to a table and ordered online in hopes to prevent chaos with chicken in the restaurant, but I'm worried that's why our order took so long.

It's been more than several times this has happened. I order a carne quesada plate and when I get home I have a plate with rice beans and two garlic inside of tacos with the tacos being very skimpy several times three pieces but this has got to be the worst there is barely two pieces of meat I specifically ordered a plate. The margaritas are the best thing about this place. The food is mediocre at best, but having to wait 37 minutes in the drive thru when only 2 cars are ahead of you is ridiculous. And to add insult to injury, I only ordered margaritas and an order of churros and 37 minutes later, I get to the window and my order still isn't ready. Definitely don't come here if you're in a hurry.

Lobby was closed at 10:30am. The posted door hours and online say it should be open. Got my kids out of their car seats and walked to the door but it was locked with no signs up saying closed. This was our first time at any Taco Cabana. The cashier, a guy, was very nice. Answered questions. Very helpful. But this place was a disaster. Food sitting out not being kept at proper temperatures, cleaning products on the floor, all counter space cluttered. Saw one person at the grill in the back. Chicken was piled up on the grill. Not sure how long. The food was subpar. Chips were barely salted, shredded chicken nearly tasteless. I'm not sure we'll go back. There are other places.

I want to begin by acknowledging the customer service staff Zachary, he provided over the top excellent customer service. He maintained the lobby profusely and multitasked between his duties all while expressing a great attitude. The food I would give a 0/10 if I could. The meat and cheese were dry on my quesadilla(assuming it was overcooked), we also ordered a pitcher of margarita which was apparently "unavailable" although there appeared to be four staff lingering around in the kitchen. Perhaps the rest of staff should take notes from Zachary moving forward.

Stopped on Saturday on the way through town. Ordered chips and guacamole to go with the rest of our meal. The taco salad with chicken was acceptable, but the guacamole was possibly the worse we have ever had anywhere . It was some sort of green concoction that didn’t taste like any avocado we have ever eaten with a couple of very small pieces of avocado. The flavor was strange and acidic. Though we have eaten there many years ago, we won’t be stopping there again with so many other selections available in town.

I used to get my lunch and dinner from here every single day for months (Brisket casadilla) then they started giving me brisket that was only partially cooked that had blood coming from the meat. I spoke with the manager about it and he said it was the meat vendors fault. They do not seem to have food quality control here. I gave it a few more tries but the same thing kept happening half cooked beef brisket with bloody juice coming out of it. On my last visit I asked for well done brisket and crunchy tortlla and still the meat was way under cooked and this time the tortilla was raw. I had to give up on getting edible food from Taco Cabana.

Just came through the drive through and the guy with face tats and the darker skinned lady were very nice took y order nicely and spoke to a little bit, I got handed a bag of 2 large red sauces, so I asked if I could get some of the others (I asked for all kinds of salsa bc of large order) and a Mexican looking woman who had the demeanor of an underpaid manager so just a guess, says we don’t have any other kinds…. So if you want 6 Street tacos one would assume that you can order two of the three pack special and have it for cheaper than ordering 6 Street tacos individually. Example 6 tacos on the three taco special 13 and change. If you say to the employee 6 tacos they charge you per taco at around 5 dollars adding up to almost 30. What a rip off. Someone please help theses employees save customers money.

Every time I go to this drive thru, we are missing items when we get back home. Last night was the worst yet, we ordered fajita meat, rice and beans and 2 crispy tacos. We got home and there were no tortillas! And the chicken fajitas were so overcooked and dried out, I choked when I ate them. This was my 3rd time here, thought I would keep giving them chances but it will be my last visit ever. Can't afford to order food, get all the way home and not have all of my order.

The person working here was very rude with a big attitude to showed up tonight thought the lobby was open but had a big attitude curly-headed glasses Mexican nerdy dude I walked in the lobby at 10:41 he had an attitude saying that it was closed already when there was no chairs up or the door was not locked he had a big attitude said go ahead call corporate he didn't care and he walked up to me aggressively I don't know what's going on with Bastrop but I looked online and it says the lobby does not close until 11:00 so he was either lying to me assuming that I was going to eat there which I wasn't I was just going to order cuz I decide not to go eat in the lobby because I wanted to go home but he assumed and had an attitude.

Ok I'm not sure how this makes sense. We ordered dinner this evening and the $26 fajita dinner was completely missing from the delivery. The food was ordered directly through the TC app, not a 3rd party. Upon calling the store, the MOD says it's the delivery company fault, not theirs, and we need to file a complaint with them. He never even checked on our order. How can the 3rd party refund us when they never even handled payment or order details? How do we get dinner tonight and our money is already gone. Now the store won't even answer the phone.

They seem to never have margaritas for some odd reason. I stopped by twice in one week at night time on separate days and they didn’t have any margaritas. It seems to be hit or miss depending on who’s working. Sometimes they have them, sometimes they don’t. Overall not a good experience as it is time wasted.

I ordered a pound of mixed fajitas with 2 dozen tortillas. Only got chicken, my rice was under cooked & only received 1 dozen tortillas. I tried to call them so i could get it fixed. No one answered, i called again, the girl says let me get my manager. Hangs up on me, then they refuse to answer the phone after. No reason, i should spend over $50 and then not get it replaced or a refund. Just poor management and customer service.

Came here an hour before closing. Sat here for 20+ minutes before giving up. No one answering the drive thru, no one in the kitchen. Ridiculous

Just left Bastrop Taco Cabana and have never had a worse experience there. Gave "Alberto" my order, didn't hear a question he asked because he mumbled, and he sighed, rolled his eyes and repeated the question very sarcastically

Not a good experience. Alicia got my order incorrect. Once I realized I was charged for something I didn't order, Alicia was too busy on her cell phone to even notice me. The cooks had to tell her to pay attention to me. Manager had to refund, correct my order and recharge me. I called before writing this review to give the location a chance to explain. The manager said crispy black bean tacos don't exist and said "THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT THAT" and HUNG UP ON ME. This location was not busy (I was the only one in the drive through). Really pitiful customer service. Boo.

I can’t remember a time I attempted to get food here and didn’t leave stressed or angry. Plan to spend your entire lunch break waiting in line at the drive through, always double check your order because 97% it’s wrong, and if they’re busy, staff is stressed so they’ll argue with you when you try to correct your order. I’m done with this place. Taco Bell is 3 minutes up the road.

No photos to post unfortunately. FOOD: Listen, I've tried several locations and this was my last stop before I gave up on every TC. I ordered the chicken fajita taco combo. Fajitas were not cold as they usually are. I did only get 2 pieces of meat which was disappointing. The chips and queso that come with the order were actually pretty good. The chips were very crunchy. As a restaurant would serve you. Pleasantly surprised. My husband did the beef fajita taco combo and stated the meat was way better than what we have tasted from other locations. SERVICE: This department was HORRIBLE. Whoever the guy was who took orders on Sunday was EXTREMELY rude. You could see the look on other people's faces that he interacted with and they looked disturbed. I ordered my food, and after he took my order I stated to him that I wanted this and that onthe side since they were not offered at the condiment section. He then stated very lowly that I should have stated that when I ordered. I walked over to start putting me salsa and pico de gallo in the to go cups and it took me a while. There wasn't much to offer. The amount were very low. So I was waiting. He left to get more and then he came back and stated "great. You're still here. Take your sweet time why don't you". I couldn't keep my words to myself anymore so I told him, that he needed to try and be nicer to people. Speaking to customers that way will upset them. I am 7 months pregnant and yes I will take my "sweet" time. He then stated he was talking to himself. My husband and I sat down and waited for our number to be called, and as I looked around, I could see how much his interaction had disturbed others that spoke to him. To me, it was very unsettling to have had an interaction the way that I did with someone. Will I come back? For the food, yes obviously. Will I get down, probably not.

Our order took more than 30min. to be made. Then when we got our order the food presentation was fine but the beef was chalky and the rice was crunchy and in clumps. I felt sorry for the few workers that were there because everyone was waiting for there food and they looked really stressed from trying to keep up with orders I would recommend more staff, maybe this would help with the food prep as well.

The cashier can never get your order right. The place was dirty, the tables were not cleaned, the floors dirty and I won't even talk about the bathroom! After standing there for 15 minutes, waiting for my order, one of the guys in the kitchen asked me what I had ordered. He then proceeded to tell me they didn't have my order. When I finally got it it was wrong. Do yourself a favor and stay away!

The people that work here are so incredibly rude! I will never come back to this location again. I had an app order pickup that I ordered at 11:00 for a pickup at 12:00 I go through the drive-thru the rude lady told me I couldn't pick it up in the drive-thru lane why no explanation just a rude comment to go to the front. And of course so then I have to wait in the drive-thru line cuz there's no way to go around she also said it's not even ready yet I was here at 12:05 so why was my order not ready at 12:00 when I ordered it to be ready an hour early. I will never come back to this place and I recommend no one else does either

Been here a couple times just to give it a chance, but everytime there's at least one problem. The main one being the additude of the drive-thru order taker. The one we had today was Christine and even before we were asked to speak up she was rude and did not have much patience with us. Another problem would be the food, the order is almost always missing something or just wrong. Our order was right this time but it was not edible, all of the protein in the items was dry and crusty, and was just bland. I highly recommend you don't go there.

Visited 6/29/22 evening Summary: Ordered 2 chicken fajita cabana bowls and an enchilada plate. Waited exactly 36 minutes for my food and received 2 VERY VERY overcooked/old beef fajita bowls. Details: I visited this location on my way home from work and decided to place my order in store. When I walked in, I immediately noticed that the trash cans were overflowing and there were multiple people who had obviously been waiting for their orders for a while. I approached the counter and the cashier who, while not unpleasant, was not friendly or very helpful. They informed me that all orders were to go only and I would have to leave once I received my order. I placed my order and took a seat to wait. While I saw one group get their order almost immediately, another group made multiple complaints about their wait. When they received their order they immediately had multiple problems and were not pleased with the service. I waited for what turned out to be over 30 (with no input or apologies from the staff). For fast food that was anything but, and a cost of over $35 for 3 people, I would recommend avoiding this location.

Bad service!!! I placed an order online at 8:27! It said it will be ready at 9:09! When I got there my order was not ready and they gave it to me at 9:45! ! I paid over $29 for a personal plate of fajita mix! They gave me only 3 slices of meat and 3 slices of chicken! 1/2 cup of beans and 1/2 cup of rice!! It looks like they only put 2 Spoons of each, the plate comes with sour cream and pico de gallony and they didn't give me any of that! ;( I want my money back ! Or other perfect plate 😭

I have loved Taco Cabana since growing up in Austin, but unfortunately this location in Bastrop is hurting the chain’s reputation. I normally don’t leave bad reviews, but this is the second time my order has been incorrect, and the enchiladas are somehow both rock hard and ice cold. And upon first walking in the restaurant, it smells like a restroom. I feel frustrated that I just spent $20 on mostly inedible food.

I have been to this one a couple time just to try it, and everytime there is at least one problem. The main one being the food, it's an item missing or something completely different. Also the food I had gotten today was not edible, the protein on the items were dry and crusty. Then the food just doesn't taste good, bland and gross. Another reason I wouldn't go there any more is the drive thru order taker, today we had Christine, she was rude. Even before I was asked to speak up she had a mean additude, she was not patient at all. I highly don't recommend you go here. 👎

Taco Cqshier kept insisting I had to use salsa. Then there was NOTHING ON condiment bar. 8:33 in the morning and nothing on the bar. Cabana.....SALSA DOES NOT GO ON POTATOES. KETCHUP DOES!!!!!!!!!! Can't move around because of all the boxes. Guess they don't have storage room. This place needs to be closed and get NEW MANAGEMENT AND EMPLOYEES

What kind of place serves FRIED POTATOES, but does not have ketchup. Cashier says we have pico. Pico does not go with fried potatoes. Cashier also needs to LOOK AT CUSTOMER when talking or taking order He has personality of a doorstop.

Went not to long ago waited a lot to get my order the food was so cold my drink tasted nasty it honestly made me loose my appetite really baddd service , plus they added a nasty used lid in top of my food 👎👎👎disappointing need a refaud for sure ! Plus I called and no one decides to pick up the phone .

I eat at a LOT of Taco Cabanas. This one was definitely the worst. I’ve never seen my food made so poorly. Ordered 2 double crunch pizza’s, 2 margaritas and a cheese quesadilla. Literally didn’t put anything on them. Most of the toppings were off of the pizzas. Didn’t want to complain. I’m sure they seen that I was upset enough when my 2 margaritas showed up literally after I was done eating. (20 mins later) No apology or anything. I get it if they needed to make more or there is an issue but at least acknowledge it! The manager was in back and looked just as lost as everyone else. He even asked what I needed. Once I told him he ran off through the back door. Everyone one that works here needs to take a trip to one located in Riverside, Austin and learn a few things.

This place was disgustingly dirty. I never leave reviews, but who ever owns this place has employees that don't care. One register operator was hustling, running, and I mean running around the store tossing trash and taking orders. The rest, they couldn't be bothered. The food was far below what Taco Cabana is known for. There were tortillas all over the floor next to the maker. I was worried those would get tossed into our meal bag. After paying for our meal of a plate just full of beans with tortillas, I figured I was just grateful food was available to eat. There were no available ingredients for the menu items. Thanks for listening. We should have just gone to Bucci's

I've eaten at location for years and it has gotten progressivly worse. The quality has got to the point that I threw away my entire order after a few bites. I am not picky and I hate wasting food to the point that I will always try and force it down but the bean and cheese tacos just tasted like sour milk and the flour tortillas were hard they tasted like week old tacos I won't be surprised if I end up sick

This was handed to me this way. There was absolutely no sliding,. Absolutely unbelievable. They had their last chance with me. I highly suggest paying the employees and management better. They were out of Dr. pepper cheese and flautas.

Says Dine-In is open till 11. At 10:20, the door is locked and when I pull on it the staff turn their heads away and act like they don't see or hear me even though they just watched me walk up.

Aside from not taking my order properly, Steak bowl gone wrong. Steak dried up, beans burned, bowl shell tasted horrible. No salsa No napkins No silverware. I am not a picky person but this was not digestible.

This place is HORRIBLE. I don't know how they're still open. The worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. I ordered something online. And I go to the curbside area, you call the number and it's disconnected...😂 I go inside. And I stand there. The Lady at the counter, Just stares at me . I tell her I'm there for a pickup order. She hands me my stuff and I ask her about my drinks? She acts put out and hands me two cups. A proceed to get my drinks, and I always check my order before I leave. I noticed one of my items was not in the bag. When I tell her, she once again just stares at me. It's like invasion of the body snatchers in this place. She then turns around and says something to someone in Spanish. Who goes to the back, comes back out and says they were out of the item. So now we're all just staring at each other. I say, do I get a refund? Then I get the response of, are you Uber? I respond with, no I'm a customer who ordered online. Then they called the manager over, and the manager says yeah we're out of that. Then I say well once again do I get a refund? He looks at me like I'm an idiot. And says no we don't do that. I said okay well who does? He's like, you have to go to like wherever you ordered it. I'm like your online website? He said yeah go through there. Anyways. This place is a joke. I honestly don't even know how they're still open.

I’ve been thru a few times nothing crazy but this visit was absolutely baffling. I opted for the drive thru option and ordered my food with no issues. I pull to the window waited a few minutes to pay only to be told if I can wait out front as my food isn’t ready. No biggie ok I’m thinking a few minutes(5) wasn’t told an amount of time by the way. So I waited out front for 10minutes nothing,went inside only to be treated completely rude by a young teen employee. This escalated to a verbal argument as she was in no hurry to check anything for me or get a manager.(he couldn’t be found) Needless I finally got my food 20minutes after ordering but this CHILD who is employed there should definitely rethink her choices of work as her poor attitude and behavior towards customers is crap. Plus poor management clearly. Definitely not returning to this establishment their service is TRASH!!!!

I have tried to avoid TC for a long time but, this morning I decided to give them another chance. I ordered one potato and egg, and one bacon and egg breakfast taco. I was hungry but could only finish half of each because they wearnt good. I see why the place is almost empty. Nothing like the TC of 10-20 years ago. I am done with TC. Adios.

I’ll be the many many many taco cabanas. This one has to be the absolute worst. I know you’re in the country but do a better job. The food is horrible. They literally put raw bacon on my tacos. It’s rare that someone at the window speaks good English I wouldn’t recommend this location on my worst enemy.

Someone please report this place to the health, inspectors, order three steak fajita tacos, and what I received was disgusting. In each taco, there were slices of steak fajita that were great however, in each taco, there were slices of meat that looked weeks old dried out and tasted like you were eating and chewing on beef jerky, but I brought this up to them. The cashier originally said that it was fresh and it just looked like that when I opened it up, took the meat out showed it to her try to break it in half which I couldn’t do cause it was hard. She said well there is my GM you can talk to him. The GM‘s response was they ran low on their stake so it’s a blend of a different kind of steak which in my opinion is a lie to cover up the fact that they’re using old meat mixed in with fresh meat.

I remember now why I don’t frequent Taco Cabana. Waited in line at the drive thru 45 minutes!!! 4 cars in front of me…45 minutes! Got my Cabana Bowl home and the chicken fajita meat was cold and hard as a rock, rice was cold as well! I tossed it in the trash! Never again Taco Cabana!

The worst experience every time i go here i am vastly disappointed if you get carne asada taco it's only gravy no meat, if you get bean and cheese there's almost no cheese in the little bit of cheese that's on there is stuck to the foil no one cares enough about their quality of work to actually close the tortilla. The fajita tacos let my wife got had nothing on it. In the tortillas are quite often in the shape of spilled milk so when you roll them up it's a funky shape that can't even hold the gravy they put inside. If you get an egg and bacon taco you're lucky if they remember to put the bacon in.

The place appears clean and the dining area and fully staffed. And you could. I don't know if it's because they aren't very busy, but the food doesn't taste very fresh. The tortillas are hard like they have been reheated. It was pretty disappointing because I was craving Taco Cabana and I remember Taco Cabana being this really great place to eat, especially to dine inside. The guy that took our order inside really did not want to be there and he was upset that the register wasn't working. He was also telling other customers that he didn't know anything about the promotions that were going on. He just really seemed like he did not want to be at work lol. Made it really awkward because you're sitting inside eating while this guy's pretty much complaining. Our orders were taken to the wrong table which wasn't that big of a deal, but I probably wouldn't recommend dining in and maybe trying a different Taco Cabana that's more busy so that the food is more fresh.

First time on this location it was TERRIBLE The cashier lady really rude and kinda lazy to speak up she didn't offer sauce plus they didn't have any for the customer ugh she didn't call out my order until 30 min later I got up and asked her and she said give me a min it was already made. Tables were dirty and the floor nasty. The margaritas are good. When living the place an employee was smoking a cigarette by the door like that's not professional maybe he could go far away from the front door . Bathrooms were dirty and the sink was bad like they haven't clean it for months.
