Tried the breakfast burrito and it was delicious. I was going to take a star off because they charge extra for hot sauce, but the burrito itself was so good I changed my mind.

Great customer service, well greeted and very clean. Everyone seems to be on alert. Tables get wiped down as soon as customer leave. Very organized team. Well definitely be back.

We've driven by the place every day and we noticed that there's always a lot of activity for it to be so small. My wife decided to Google it and noticed that the reviews were pretty dog gone good, so we decided to stop by for lunch. Well, well, well, did we get a surprise! We ordered the Barria Tacos and the Barria Ramen! Words can not describe the flavor and taste of this food! The Ramen doesn't quite jump off the menu, especially if you live Ramen like I do but after that first taste, your brain stops and tells you to take another bite to confirm that this is different and quite tasty! The Barria tacos are,hands down, my favorite. I strongly suggest trying the cucumber juice as your beverage of choice. It's very similar to calamansi, if you've ever had it before;quite refreshing! Since our initial visit, we've gone back several times in the last month! Check this place out if you're ever in the mood for something not so fast, food'ish! The 3 start "atmosphere" rating is simply because this isn't a huge place and could get crowded very fast, causing a wait for anyone wanting to dine in. #RodPVerified

Everything we had tonight for dinner was great. $4 rita/beer for HH 3-6pm during the weekday. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. We ordered the chicken rolled tacos, birria tacos, birria ramen, sope and gordita with chips/salsa and a frozen strawberry margarita.

What attracted us to the place was the name, Papis Tacos. Their dining area is a bit small but there are tables outside as well. Food is good, we've been a few times and have not been disappointed. Birria was soooo good and the portions wow, perfect!!! We tried tripas, carnitas, asada, picadillo and chicharon tacos, birria ramen, birria tacos!!! Sooo good!!! The salsas both red and green did not disappoint.. Will definitely be coming back!!!

Everything was so flavorful and fresh! We were told there would be a wait but we didn’t mind and truly we didn’t even wait as long as we were estimated but because of the wait, we were given free chips and salsa which was so kind! We will definitely be making the drive back because the food was absolutely incredible!!

Up until my last of four days in Ft. Worth all “Mexican” meals I tried were definitely TexMex until Papi’s Tacos. These are authentic hands down. I must admit that both the menudo and birria ramen are way too spicy for most people but if you’re into that type of heat you’ll love these items. Or just order more Topo Chico and bear with it 😜 we also enjoyed a bowl of elote and you will too 🌽

Every weekend I'm always trying birria tacos at different places. When I found this place I was intrigued by their high score rating and the pictures posted. The birria taco combo I ordered was overall good, but not 100% the best. The tacos themselves were easily foldable, but I normally prefer the tortillas to be fried crispy. The meat was well cooked but it, and the consome, didn't really have that full flavor. But the rice and beans served on the side were excellent. I even got some chips and salsa too. The chips were good and made with white corn tortillas but thin. But the salsa was excellent with its perfect spicy level and consistency. If I'm back in the area I may give this place another shot.

Delicious. I normally order from here but I had to go in and it was even more delicious than the other times. I got the Surf and Turf as that’s my personal favorite. The Birria, fish, abodoba tacos are great. The churros with Dulce de leche stole the show.

I came across this spot on Instagram, of all places, and had to give it a try. I've been on the hunt for good birria tacos, and this place did not disappoint. I had the birria burrito, while my guest ordered the birria tacos. The birria was perfectly seasoned and tender, just as it should be. The consomé was rich and flavorful. I also had some rice, which was just okay—neither good nor bad. The horchata was tasty, but the watermelon fresca didn’t quite hit the mark. The place itself is small and quaint, with plenty of parking. Inside, it was clean and nicely decorated, creating an authentic Latin vibe. They offer daily specials, and the prices are very reasonable. I’d definitely return, especially to try the birria ramen. I highly recommend this spot to anyone!

Delicious. Been wanting to try this place. I drive by it every day. Took my son who was home on military leave. It was delicious. He got the California Burrito and I got the Birria Tacos. Yummmm! We definitely go back. Quick service and food was hot and fresh.

A friend introduced us to Papi's last month. We have now gone 3 weeks in a row in October. The food is absolutely amazing. The portion sizes are great and everything is served fresh. Here is a list of things we have tried over the course of our visits. Chips and Queso, El Jefe Burrito, California Burrito with beef, Super fries with chicken, Birria Burrito, Birria Egg rolls, chicken tacos, asada tacos and both kinds of churros. I recommend everything, but their birria is excellent and I want to have it again soon.

Queso was really good. The green salsa was very tasty as well. Burritos are huge! I ordered a hot cheeto burrito with Birria meat and a side of broth. I ordered the side of broth when I ordered the burrito. When the waitress brought it out, I had to ask again. She said it didn't come with it. I knew this, that's why I ordered it on the side. The Burrito was supposed to come topped with cheese, and it didn't, but I didn't say anything because I already said something about the broth. The hot cheeto balls were just okay to me. They do give you cheese to dip them in, but no cheese inside.

I just noticed this small Taco Shop off Southwest Highway before the roundabout and it doesn't disappoint! I order the fish taco plate that is very reasonable (less than $10). The salads and romatillo sauce are flavorful, and the jalapeño sausa is spicy in a good way! I highly recommend this place. The food is traditional and the prices are not bad!

I went here with my mom last night and we had such a good time.The food was really good, but the birria tacos were my favorite for sure. The asada was cooked to a nice tender finish, the barbacoa was tender but not fatty, the salsa verde is nice and spicy, and the margaritas are amazing with the chamoy y tajin! I've been wanting to try this place for months and was NOT DISAPPOINTED. Walked into cozy place with a welcoming staff. The music is amazing! The food, even better. Portion sizes are much larger than I expected. We did the Sopes con pollo, quesibirria tacos and the mar y Tierra burrito. The masa on the Sopes was perfect. Chicken was tender and delicious. The burrito was an explosion of flavor from first to last bite. The birria was tender and the consume was DELICIOUS. We're already planning to come back and try more off the menu. Sorry no pictures, we didn't wait to feast on this amazing food.

Service was slow. 20 minutes in the drive thru and the only vehicle too. But that aside, I ordered the quesabirra combo. It came with traditional beans and rice cilantro raw onions and the sauce yum 20 minutes after I got my food it was still scorching hot I was very impressed not only was it good it was hot as well and that's always a plus when you get food that's supposed to be hot it is hot I will be ordering this again I've eaten there before it wasn't impressed but this impressed me and I have to say it's going to be my go-to comfort food Good job

Papi’s tacos is a cute little spot for tacos. The positives: I got birria ramen and a birria plate, and the consume was really good! Some places don’t put effort into their consume and this place does. I was too stuffed to finish my birria ramen at the place, but the few bites I had were delicious. The opportunities: I’ve had better birria tacos at other places. Here the meat/cheese/tortilla ratio was off, causing me to have to remove meat from my taco to have a good experience. Also the refried beans and rice were just okay. Overall, while I liked the atmosphere, I’ll still continue my search for birria tacos.

This is more 3.5 stars, rounded up, but I did still like it. I've been dying to get birria ramen on this side of town, so I was super excited to see this on the menu. The food here is an absolute feast for the eyes, however I found everything to be just a bit bland. It lacks salt and some seasoning, which was a bit of a disappointment. I had to add a couple salsa verdes to the ramen to jazz it up, and the beans were not my favorite it all... reminds me a bit of Taco Buenos. They have a strange taste. Everything else was just pretty okay. I'll be back for sure, it just didn't WOW me as much as I hoped.

Found this place on instagram and with so many taco places, this one seemed a bit more enticing than others. Stopped in on 2/3/24 for a late lunch and was surprised at how busy they were. That let me know I wouldn’t be disappointed. I had been craving sopes but also wanted tacos and kiddos were wanting birria tacos. We ordered 3 birria taco plates, 2 asada tacos, a carnitas taco, and a chicken sope, a Mexican cokes and Jarritos. I loved the variety of meat, menu items, as well as drink however, I was surprised there was no pastor meat as an option. It’s okay that there wasn’t, it’s just usually my go to. The wait was a bit slower that I’d expect from a taco place but everything was fresh and made to order so I’m more than happy to wait. Birria came out first followed by my tacos. I was shorted 2 tacos and this was a challenged to get because the cashier was sure I only ordered 2 (the sope and taco). I’m guessing they were missed and had to wait a bit for the rest of my food. Birria tacos were legit. Crispy, full of meat, and deep flavors. The sope reminded me of how my late grandma made them and took me back. Tacos were delicious as well. The carnitas were a bit overly greasy but nonetheless, good. Asada tacos were amazing. Meat was cooked perfectly and a slight char from the grill took them to another level! This is an order and seat yourself place and space is limited but there is a small patio outside as well. All in all, outstanding place. We will most definitely be back and this may become our new go-to weekend spot. My reasoning for the 4 stars was strictly based on service. Cashier wasn’t very friendly and had to flag someone down for the tacos I was missing. We only saw the one girl at the front - which she was also taking plates to the tables when orders were done. By the time we were finishing, we saw another girl come out to the front and help out. Certainly recommend and hope to see business boom for this little joint.

Papis Tacos and More is a good option if you want something affordable and filling. The portions of beans and rice were huge for the price. The carne asada tacos were decent overall, about a 6 out of 10. The meat tasted like it had been sitting for a bit, but it was still okay. Having three different salsas was a nice touch and added variety. The atmosphere was relaxed and chill, making it a solid spot for a quick, casual meal.

My daughter and I visited this place last week and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Quesabirria Taco Plate, Birria Eggrolls, and a Hot Cheetoh Burrito. Everything was hot and fresh and made to order. The food tasted really good, and the consomé was very flavorful. The eggrolls were crunchy and had a great cheese pull.

Super small restaurant got packed quick for lunch. Had the birria tacos, egg rolls, hot cheetah birria ball, and chile relleno burrito. Egg rolls and tacos were amazing. Birria ball no so much. Did not have flavor meat tasted like had no seasoning. Burrito was ok. I thought it was a true chile relleno but was just a chile in the burrito. All around not bad but not the best. I will definitely come back for the egg rolls!

The asada tacos are great! The salsas that come with the meals are very delicious. My husband loved the surf and turf burrito, had plenty of meat. However I do not recommend ordering the taquitos, or rolled tacos is what it’s called on the menu. It is basically just a fried tortilla topped with sour cream and guacamole. These came with just a very small strand of chicken barely even visible to the eye. The rice is not your traditional Mexican rice, it’s more of a long grain Jazmine rice type of rice. The atmosphere was great and clean, service was good. Prices are fairly cheap compared to most places.

Very small place with about 10-12 tables and a small drink fountain. The food is extremely overrated and expensive. A simple taco plate with 3 birria tacos, rice, and beans lunch portions costs 15.99 w/out a drink. The tacos were flavorless, the rice and beans okay, and the birria sauce was extremely oily. The place was packed, but the service was fast. There's a 30 min wait expectation, but we rcvd our food in 15 min. If you're looking for good birria tacos, keep looking - skip this place.

Sit back for this one. So my girlfriend’s like babe let’s get tacos. There’s a spot right down the street from where I’m at. I said sure go for it so while my girlfriend’s ordering tacos, she’s already paid and she’s waiting at the drive-through. she notices a bag placed on the counter and from that point about seven minutes go by before someone brings the bag over. Hey was my bag of food sitting on the counter for all of seven minutes? Oh yeah, sorry I was talking to somebody inside. Was the reply. Fast forward I’m trying the food and after my first bite, there’s a hunk of bone that nearly broke a tooth. You know when you order a Carne Asada taco there should absolutely never be any bones in the the taco it’s so unfortunate because it’s actually well cooked. I wish they were bold enough to season their meat. Not many places are bold enough to show off their flare or style. Everyone wants to play it safe and just literally serve cooked meat. Maybe they had an off night it happens right the bad part is an off night can be somebody’s death From choking on a bone in a taco.. that part🌮

I tried their Hot Cheeto Balls and hard shell taco. The balls looked great—big and visually appealing—but unfortunately, they lacked seasoning and had very little flavor. On the bright side, the birria broth was excellent and full of flavor. The taco, however, was overly greasy. It seemed like they either didn’t let the oil drain from the shell before filling it, or the meat itself was just too oily—hard to tell which. Service might have been better if the drive-thru had been open. With a difficult two-year-old in tow, it’s tough to manage going inside, so I really rely on the convenience of a drive-thru. That said, I’m willing to give them another shot. I plan to try the ramen next time since the broth was definitely a highlight. Fingers crossed the drive-thru is open then

The asada tacos and birra tacos were good. But it’s also not a place I’d care to go eat at, again. The atmosphere was cute though. We got chips and salsa as well. I’d say pass on the salsa, it tastes exactly like a salsa from a jar at the grocery store, similar to Pace picante. We saw this place on Fort Worth love list and was super excited to try it, but it was average overall.

Well, I called in today for 2 barbarcola tacos. And instead they gave me 3 garnita tacos. It's not what I ordered. So I live almost 28 minutes away by the time I got home, hell. I had to feed it to my dogs instead of driving all the way back to get them to change it. That was waste of my money. Thanks. Thank you papa's tacos for having a host that cannot listen when people call in to place an order. So now i have to eat ceral. While my dogs get to eat that rought tought meat

Carne Asada Fries. asada was pretty bland and fries were very undercooked. I think the fries were just defrosted and put in the dish. Guac is good just disappointed in the cook level of the fries and wished Asada had some actual flavor.

I've been to Papi's Tacos a couple of times and overall I'd say this place is ok, not great. I think their Horchata, salsas, and chili relleno burrito, elote, and white queso are the best things I've had, everything else I would pass on. On my last visit I ordered a couple of different things for my wife and I to try. The quesadilla with carne asada, the picadillo taco, and the torta with chicken. To my surprise, none of them were good. The quesadilla had fajita veggies in it which I typically like, but because of how they prepared the asada it made for an unpleasant bite. The fajita veggies were still kind of raw, which I like for my veggies to still have some bite, but because the asada pieces were so small, it threw everything off and the asada didn't have much flavor. The picadillo taco tasted like the meat was cooked with lard which I'm not a fan of because of the aftertaste. We got the torta with chicken and the chicken also had no flavor and the torta bread was kind of soggy by the time I got home (I live maybe 5 minutes away) and the fries that were served with the torta were the shoestring cut type of fry which are small and thin and they too had no flavor and were cold. If your near Papi's Tacos and want to give it a try, go for it. There are somethings on the menu I would like to try, but won't go out of my way for them.

Was a bit disappointment - maybe because I expected too much. I absolutely love asada fries, and they seem hard to find around DFW (specifically Fort Worth). Saw pics of the fries and reviews of this place, so I went. It appeared that the fries were cooked to order because it took about 10+ minutes for the order to come out. Unfortunately they were hard on the outside and like a rock on the inside, yet they weren’t hot, nor cold. The poke your gums and teeth from being so hard. There’s another place in Fort Worth where their asada fries come out like this. I now believe it’s something about the way the fries are cooked because it’s strange that two places have the same texture. Other than that, the drink was great and the young lady at the counter was extremely friendly. I would return simply for the drink and service, but the something else.

I think the 3 tacos with rice and beans plate for $15 dollars wasn’t worth it anymore. I’ve tried them a couple times and unfortunately this will be my last time. I’ll stick to the food trucks. Plus they didn’t even mention it was an up charge for getting a tripa anymore either. 20+ mins in drive thru wasn’t it either. I’m sorry I usually give the benefit of the doubt but they lost me this time.

yeah dont believe the fake hype on social media. i came here because of the videos that kept popping up on my feed and i figured ok ill give it a chance. DONT FALL FOR IT the food here was complete trash not sure how you can screw up on beans and make them soo plain. out of all the food i ordered the only thing that was good was the rice and salsa thats the only thing that was good. the rest of the food was trash it had no flavor and i had to pour on the green salsa to make it edible. the customer service and speed here is atrocious we waited inline just like everybody else yet we didnt get our drinks the girl at the front said she will drop it off. 20mins later we get our food and still no drinks so i gave it another 5mins i see everybody new get their drinks as they sat down so i walked up to the front and asked the guy where my drink were at. he looks confused and i had to let him know what we ordered and 10mins later he finally drops off a small cup of margarita and a basic soda. it took 10mins to drop off two drinks. it took 26mins for just three tacos, three enchiladas and 4 tacos of barbacoa. no apologizing just here you go have a good day. thats what happens when you have a bunch of kids running a restaurant that sucks. i will not recommend anybody come to this place its trash.

First time here. I was on that side of town. Got all the way back to Crowley to find, my order was not correct. Of course, I called and they offered to make another one but that’s at the expense of me driving 30 mins back across town. Wasting gas and time. When things like this happen, restaurants need to find a better way for it not to be a total loss for the customer. Smh

So I've had this place on my on my Want to go list for quite some time. I've seen several reviews that talked about it being so good and 5 stars. So tonight we decided we would try it. Gotta say... disappointed! I ordered 3 tacos of different types of meat that I enjoy....sadly they all looked identical and tasted identical. The fries were especially one of the most disappointing because the fries were severely undercooked. When you're aware that you will be piling tons of ingredients on the fries they should be well cooked. I disbelieve that most of what we received was made in house, but rather premade somewhere else as you can even see the guacamole has been squeezed out of some sort of bag. Rice had no seasoning at all. The beans tasted quite similar to the powder dried pinto beans that are rehydrated but required lard as well as seasoning. The elote undercooked and along the same with everything else needed seasoning. For a single corn to cost over 5.00... I should think they could at a minimum add salt.. My husband got through his main course and didn't eat the rice or beans. I was starving so took all of the potatoes out of the dish along with the ingredients in my tacos and mixed with some of the other ingredients just to have dinner. If it's True mexican flavors you're looking for...search around the Northside of Fort Worth or see my other Mexican food reviews. Save your $$$ and order the Cantina chicken tacos and burritos at Taco Bell.

Have them 3 tries. First Dine in they literally forgot about our order it finally came out as I was about to say something about them serving 2 parties that came in after us. 2nd time pick up order for the hot Cheeto ball sat there for 45 mins waiting on the order. 3 time we called it in and went to run errands knowing it would take longer. We went through the drive through told the box about the pick up order and sat at the window with no one opening it. So we went inside and the young man gave us attitude. I’m not sure if we will be returning with the service

Update 1/4/26- whoever is running the kitchen tonight is *horrible*. Food was so salty it was inedible. Owner needs to get the kitchen in line immediately. Wait times have been really bad lately too, so this is another issue to handle. I love this place, but I could never recommend what we ate tonight. Had to remove a star because the spicy carrots are once again no longer available. Love this place, but I don't under why they removed them. Also I think they've raised their prices. I want this place to succeed, but maybe this location's rent is too high. The property owner does *not* maintain the property very well, despite the tenants making many upgrades to the building. San Diego style taco shop. Surf & Turf California burrito was fantastic, street tacos were perfect. The carne asada is *exactly* how they make it in San Diego. Birria Ramen, not something I've ever seen in a taco place was crazy good too. These burritos are *massive* too. This is our new spot forever!

If I could give this place less stars I most certainly would. The amount of time it took them to make a plate of nachos is absolutely insane. How this place stays in business taking over 30 minutes to make some nachos is beyond me. The staff doesn’t give you any updates on your food and they seemed to have not noticed 5 orders just waiting to get made. There were people coming through the drive through 20 minutes after I got there and they some how received food first? I’m happily making the decision to never return to this place again. The absolute worst.

****CHOKING CAUTION*** So if you decide to get any shredded chicken products I would advise against serving to children as on 2 occasions bones have been found in the shredded chicken meat (did not try to order chicken again since I was led astray 2 times already). This place started off with good service and decent food but they have since hired new people that don't know what they are selling when asked basic questions. The customer service has dramatically dropped. The food is decent but the rice is a long rain rice not short like most people would expect and the tacos on the platter offerings are small street style. They have regular full sized tacos but no one at night seems to know what they are called on the menu. This might seem like it should be a fast food placed since it is a seemingly small menu taco place with basic items and much are already prepped BUT when you order a taco dinner and it takes 15 minutes that is unacceptable and just imagine if I was outside in the drive thru vs inside like I was. THIS IS NOT a place for quick lunch service during working times I would imagine after experiencing that 15 minute wait time for such a basic item when they are not busy. Just because a place is new does not make it a destination eatery. Try for yourself as I have on multiple occasions since I wanted to give it a fair try out. Just know there are faster, cheaper and better offering paces out there.

I was really excited to try this place, but unfortunately as soon as I walked in I was met with a strong raw sewage odor mixed with food smells. I tried to push through and stood there looking at the menu, but it completely killed my appetite and I ultimately decided to leave. Very disappointing. Maybe that’s why the drive thru was so busy.

Walked into Taco Papi and was completely ignored. No greeting, no acknowledgment — just stared at. While ordering, the guy kept looking away and didn’t respond at all when I said “thank you,” not once. Another employee handed me my receipt and again, no response after I said thank you. The food might be fine, but the customer service was terrible and made us feel unwelcome. Basic courtesy shouldn’t be this hard. 12/19/25 around 7:20

This place is definitely a hit or miss. Got some super fried yesterday and my fries were hard and cold. Meat was super tough. This place needs to step their game up and do better. I give this a 0/10 food was horrible. You need different cooks. It should be consistent

They don't worry about customers that order on Doordash. Those orders could take 1+ to get out the door. Would not recommend

If I could give this place zero stars I would! This place is a total rip off! First I ordered 3 tacos- after ordering I forgot to mention I wanted flour tortillas- the cashier told me it would be a upcharge for flour tortillas (that’s new) second- it took 2 weeks for them to finally clear my transaction- due to the fact they stole an extra 5 dollars out my account. Bad business! And I’m definitely reporting!

My experience was depressing The rice and beans were literally flavorless, no seasoning let alone no salt as well My daughter had the Asada beans and cheese burrito which was flavorless My son had the crunchy taco combo and his crunchy tacos felt like they used old tortillas before frying them I had the taco combo with lengua, pollo asado, and carne asada. These were meh. Wasn’t anything special, had to grab my own utensils because they don’t serve you utensils when you order the combos, but that’s whatever imo. This experience at papis costed me 45$ And I can tell you it’s no worth it in the slightest

Previously had given 5 stars. We would eat here at least once/twice a week. Over the last couple months we started getting sick, food poisoning, and narrowed it down to this place. Only sick after eating here. Quite upsetting actually because we ate here for breakfast and dinner often. Wish I’d checked out their score & grade at the health dept website before too. Checked it out and wow that makes sense now. Additionally we’ve observed employees, taking trash out to the dumpster while checking their cell phones and wearing gloves. What do you want to bet they’re not changing their gloves after that and making your food like that. There are better places nearby, this place is no longer worth the risk.

Ordered on Uber Eats. The restaurant voided out nearly my entire order on the receipt, but not with uber. They charged me $115 for 3 tacos. Papi’s tacos doesn’t answer their phone either.

Highly disappointed there was hypnos going on about their hot Cheeto birria balls I think they should call them hot Cheeto birria broth balls it's a bunch of cheese wadded up with a lot of rice cilantro and onions you probably see a shred of meat here or there but nothing that's actually noticeable You're not paying for me You're paying for cheese clustered up with rice highly disappointed

I’m honestly disappointed. I got the chicken enchilada plate. The rice was hard, beans were ok and the enchiladas were not it. Chicken was dry and the enchilada itself is coated with tomato sauce (flavorless).

Honestly this place was disgusting! We ordered the California burrito and the fries weren’t even cooked all the way the asada is not even asada it’s some nasty meat! Who knows what! The nachos are nasty and so are the hot Cheeto fries! The only thing that was good were the churros they were delicious! Food nasty nasty! Spend $60 and all went to the trash!
