Recensioni di Little Plearn Thai Kitchen Berkeley
Our first time here and we loved everything we ordered and finished basically everything. My favorites were the Crab Fried Rice, Pad Thai and Roti with Ube Ice Cream. Service was fast. This was also the first Thai restaurant in Berkeley ever. Would come back! Affordable too. Lots of street parking. There’s also the Oxford garage maybe a 3min walk only.
Food here was delicious!! Crab fried rice was excellent! Coconut soup was also very delicious. Service was super friendly and fast. We got our food quick. Definitely a mush try when in Berkeley.
Food was so good! Took a bit to get the food but it was worth the wait. Large portions and great lunch specials.
Lovely Thai restaurant on Shattuck! That doesn’t close before 8! So rare nowadays in Berkeley. Good selection of curries, noodles, etc. I don’t remember exactly what the dish was called but I had a plate of white rice and beef in peanut sauce and veggies, and it was great.
Visited with my family on a Tuesday night and surprisingly the restaurant was packed. We thought all the dishes tasted incredibly delicious and authentic, with the prices being reasonable. For appetizers, we indulged in curry puffs, satay chicken (served with peanut sauce), and fried spring rolls. Moving on to the entrees, we savored their rich and creamy yellow chicken curry, flavorful pad see ew with tofu, mild spicy fried rice, and the chef's recommendation— the Moo Dang dry noodle which turned out to be my favorite. Following our satisfying meal, our desserts arrived. We opted for the classic mango sticky rice and their Valentine's special dessert— strawberry mochi ice cream with strawberry whipped cream! Heaven for strawberry lovers. The service was very welcoming, attentive and friendly. The interior was full of beautiful Valentine's decorations, such as cute hearts! They even featured a love month menu with special drinks such as their Love Potion and Love is In The Air. In conclusion, I highly recommend this place. This restaurant gives cozy and lovely vibes, making it an ideal choice for a special Valentines day dining experience!
This family owned restaurant has to be one of my favorite places to dine for Thai food in the Berkekey, Ca. Every dish is flavorful and so creative! The staff members are a joy! They are very welcoming and accommodating!! Definitely worth a visit!
This cute little spot has been providing authentic Thai food for the community over 30 years. My favorite dish from them was definitely the papaya salad and the duck. The decorations inside and the the color scheme was so beautiful. You’ll need to come and take a look for it yourself. The customers varied from ages and ethnicity, so you know this place is definitely the date night spot. I took the wifey here after we did some sightseeing in Berkeley. The food came out quick and the host/workers were very cordial and friendly. Wifey loved the the beef pad see ew and the pumpkin curry. Can’t go wrong with the yummy Thai ice tea! Until next time, Tiger Out 👋
Their noodle selections were really great! The only one I wouldn't recommend is the pad see ew, just because it's so comparable to anywhere else. It's a bit narrow and crowded inside, definitely a wait time. We ended up sitting at the only table outside but it was a bit chilly and ended up taking it to go. They were very nice though!
Very nice spot! The food was incredibly delicious, and the lunch special basically let me get rice, an egg roll, and a nice salad for what basically amounted to an extra dollar. I got the eggplant stir fry with chicken, and it was definitely worth going back for. It also seems like a lot of the food could be vegetarian (if you don't mind fish sauce), because it's added on to a base dish that doesn't necessarily have meat in it. The service was also excellent, and the decor had a very fun vibe that felt unique and full of character. The Thai Tea was also very good, but I've also never met a Thai Tea I didn't love.
An early Mother's Day treat for mom. As a reminder, they get busy, however, excellent service, and be patient with the staff! All food is ordered fresh to the table! And no MSG!
Such a delicious dinner! Adorable valentines decorations. Excellent service. We got a handful of items, all yummy. Will be back! Thank you!
Great little place to eat thai food. Had the Panang Nua. Quite spicy, great taste and the beef was to die for. Great atmosphere, great service. They refilled drinks fast and took care of us.
Great service, they were always checking up on us, refilling water and I liked it a lot. The food was delicious, and I will definitely visit again. I got the yum woon sen, and I'd definitely get it again

We found the perfect Valentine’s Day date @Little Plearn Thai but honestly? Delicious all year round 🔥 Little Plearn Thai has been on our list since last year since we love festive restaurants, but what really impressed us is that the food is just as good as how pretty the space is ✨😍 What we ordered: Fresh Spring Rolls, Curry Puff, Pad Thai (SO fresh best Pad Thai I’ve had in the Bay, no debate), Panang Nua, Basil pork, Thai Yaki Soba, Duck Over Rice, Moo Dang & Crispy Pork Over Rice. They also have a limited Valentine’s drink menu 👌 We can taste how fresh everything is. Hearing the story behind the restaurant made it even more special 🥹 The owner’s grandmother started the business and STILL personally picks the fresh ingredients at the store. That kind of care shows in every bite. #foodie #bayarea #valentinesday #datenight #thaifood
Great Thai food in Berkeley. Love the decor and the music. Ordered the Thai fried rice spicy with chicken and it was delicious and flavorful. Was not very busy when I went and service was good! Relatively easy to find parking around 6pm during the workeeek
Decent Thai food with vegan options. Nothing to write home about. Red curry wasn’t very flavorful. Cute space but a little cramped. Not sure why Imm Thai always has a line but Little Plearn does not–they’re similarly good if you ask me. 🍛
It’s a cute place. The food is good. Pretty expensive. The fun drinks are really expensive.
Brought my wife to this spot because we saw it on IG. I wanted to surprise her with a date night. They were showcasing their Christmas themed atmosphere. I made a reservation because it was suggested if going on the weekend. They get very packed. I made the reservation through their website. It was easy. We got there and immediately noticed how beautifully festive it was. That was really beautiful and intentional. My wife was real happy with her surprise. We were seated immediately, so that was a plus. Our waitress provided helpful food and drinks suggestions. We ordered chicken wings as appetizers, I ordered Pad See Eew and my wife ordered the dry glass noodles with various meats and tofu (I forgot the name). The wings should have came out 1st.. but that was not the case. My food came out 1st without my wife's. The chicken wings came out about 5 to 7 miss later and then my wife's food came out.. about 2 mins after the wings. While we both enjoyed our entrees, the wings were undercooked. Like they seemed done, but you could tell and taste that they needed to have fried a bit longer. One of them had a little redness on the bone. Nonetheless, we ate them. Our drinks were so delicious. She had the green Christmas one and I had the blue Christmas one. We put Soju (Korean alcohol) in them both. I got mine w/o whipped cream because I'm lactose intolerant (They were fine with leaving it off)...BUT, I did have her bring me sprinkles to add because I love sprinkles. So far, the night was actually Purdue decent minus those lil hiccups. However, when the waitress came over to check on us and asked us if we needed boxes for the leftovers, we said we did.. but I still had half a drink left. Sure then brought the boxes and check. I did not understand why because I was actually going to order more drinks. However, at that point, I felt like we were being rushed to get up from our table. I told her that I was not ready for the check and she was adamant about me placing it on my section of the seating. I had to tell her again.. that we did not ask for the check and that we were not ready to leave yet. She walked away and then less than 5 mins from when she came.. someone else brought the bill. I had to day the same thing to him to.. that we were not ready for the bill. I did not like that at all. No one else around us was provided the bill while so having food/drinks on front of them. I watched the movements, so why did this happen to us? No one should be rushed to get up while still enjoying their meal and/or drinks. Although this did not happen to us, I am still putting it into my review due to witnessing it. The party next to us found a small crystal that looked exactly like glass in their noodle dish. One of them actually had it in his mouth due to taking a bite of his food. He stated that it was hard and definitely not food. He reported it to the same waitress who simply said " Oh sorry, do you want me to get you a new plate of food". She did not ask him if he was alright nor did she bring any manager over too talk matters over with them. They agreed to a new plate, but after we all discussed what just happened, they decided to get the plate of food taken off the bill. Even when they attempted to do that, they were met with the food is already cooking.. so they had to push a little bit to be heard. She took it off of the bill. I disliked how that situation was met. Lack of full apology, no managerial apology nor followup, no automatically insisting to clear it from the bill without being asked by the customer and the fact that they do expected the customer to pay any bill after going through possibly eating glass. My wife and I were appalled.

Arrived before the dinner crowd and immediately got a seat. Bright, airy place. Standard service. I wasn’t enamored with my eggplant dish. It was great that they browned the tofu; there was way too much oil and sauce. Clean restroom. Average pad Thai.
I am concerned about cleanliness, table was not completely clean, service was slow, pricing bit high but i guess okay for collage town Berkeley, owner appears to be very stingy, want to charge for every little thing i.e. Fresh Rolls are expensive and still does not include peanut sauce, I have never heard anywhere else restaurant charge for it. I would advise to go with caution.

We enjoyed it two months ago. The tom yum is tomato sauce and water now, with nearly raw carrots in it. The green curry had the same problem with the green beans. The service was also sub par, with a rude server. I used to serve in a restaurant and I feel terrible for writing this. You may enjoy it but I won’t take my girl out here anymore.
