Recensioni di Tipsy Yeti Restaurant & Bar Berkeley
A Hidden Gem for Authentic Nepali Flavors! Very first visit: We visited Tipsy Yeti for a late Saturday lunch and were immediately impressed. The atmosphere is elegant yet simple, featuring high ceilings and vibrant acoustic panels that give the space a clean, modern feel. Since it was a quiet afternoon, we were able to choose our own seat, and the service from Rubina S. was top-notch from start to finish—she was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The Food Highlights: • Appetizer Wings: Fresh and delicious. We loved it. While the flavor was perfect, a bed of dry salad (cabbage/onions) would help elevate the presentation and balance the butter on the plate. 10/10 • Paneer Steamed Momo: A true taste of home! These were absolutely incredible. 11/10. • Sizzling Chicken Momo: Very tasty, though a bit heavy on the sauce for our personal preference. 9/10 • Tipsy Veggie Pizza: The absolute star of the show. We opted for the Nepali-style sauce, and it was "the bomb." Kudos to the chef for this creative recipe! 11/10 The drinks were equally impressive; the Ram Lila mocktail was refreshing, and the classic margarita was crafted to perfection. The bartender rocks! We’ll definitely be back soon with our non-Nepali friends— I can proudly say this is what Nepali food tastes. Yay! Please don’t miss out on this spot if you want an authentic taste of Nepal.
Loved our visit to Tipsy Yeti in Berkeley! The food tasted super authentic and fresh, and everything was presented really nicely. The ambience is great—fun, cozy, and perfect for hanging out with family. The cocktails are amazing with tons of variety, definitely one of the highlights for us. We came as a family and everyone loved it. Overall, such a great spot with good vibes, great food, and awesome drinks. Will 100% be back! 🍹😄
I recently visited this Nepali restaurant and had an amazing experience! The food was authentic yet elevated, offering a classy and refined take on traditional Nepali dishes. Their momos were outstanding—perfectly steamed, flavorful, and easily some of the best I’ve had.The Pork Sekuwa is also a must try. The atmosphere added even more to the experience. They feature live music that creates a warm and vibrant vibe without overpowering conversation. It really made the evening feel special. Service was top-notch as well. Movin, the bartender, went above and beyond with his friendly attitude, great drink recommendations, and attentive service. He truly made us feel welcome. Overall, this restaurant is a gem—a more upscale and polished version of Nepali cuisine with excellent food, great ambiance, and exceptional service. Highly recommend!
Stopped by Tipsy Yeti in Berkeley and had a great experience. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed, and the food and drinks really hit the spot. It’s a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy a good meal. Definitely coming back!
Another great find while wandering Berkeley. A great Nepalese restaurant with authentic Napalese food, as well as other selections. Lots of different places to sit: inside, outside but screened in, and see photo for what appeared to be an outside private place to sit. Great friendly and helpful service. Nice quiet atmosphere (at noon). The food was fun and tasted great. The mo-mo's looked like they would be heavy, but they weren't. Excellent, as well as the carrot pudding, a Nepalese desert. I'll be back for more.
This place is absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I just moved here from Arizona, and we’re so glad this bar is in our neighborhood. The food is delicious and beautifully presented, the atmosphere is great, and the staff are seriously awesome. We’ll definitely be regulars for as long as we’re in Berkeley. Big kudos to the team, fantastic job! Bonus points for the live music they sometimes have, which makes the experience even better.
When can I return. Really liked this place. Service good folks are nice. Food super good. Chicken Wings... Fantastic. Got the garlicky wings. Very garlicky and flavorful. Mo Mo Dumplings. I wanted Mo Mo! Delicious. Way better and more flavorful than most dumpling I have gotten elsewhere. They will let you get a variety and that was a good choice. I got them steamed and was excellent. Bit spicy and tasty. Old fashion was a on point too.
The food here stands out! It’s Asian fusion inspired with a unique American take. Everything tasted amazing and was super filling. They have a dinning area and a bar area, both equally aesthetically-pleasing. They accommodated our 8+ people group last minute and everyone was super nice. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
Great atmosphere to hang out or eat! This restaurant offers a wide variety of Nepali and American dishes. The food is flavorful and fresh.
This place is amazing! Such good vibes and great food! The bar area is really nice with seats. Plus they have tv as well. Our waiter was nice and gave great recommendations on what to order. Check out the photos of we ordered!
We walked into this restaurant 10:30pm on a Friday night. So glad we found the place. Every dish was nicely curated and freshly made with amazing flavors. The wings and the fried bries are my fav. My friend also rly enjoyed the steak. Although it’s been very late, the owner was still being very welcoming and hospitable. Overall an awesome experience!
I found Tipsy Yeti by reading customer reviews and it did not disappoint! I had the tornado fries, Smoke Under Water to Drink and the Mustang Chicken with Saffron rice. Everything was excellent!
My family was blown away by their food! I’m excited to tell my friends, and to go again. We loved the mo: mo:, pork sekuwa, and mustang chicken. Our starter appetizer was also amazing: artichoke fritters. Whoa!
The food is absolutely amazing, the service is great. I am a chef my self but this is another level.I ordered momo lamb sizzler and buffalo wings but the lamb momo did the magic. Such an amazing blend of lamb momos flavored with sautéed bell peppers and onions with cabbage leaves. Great combination.
Tipsy Yeti is owned and operated by some truly friendly and warm people. They are Nepalese and their menu is authentic and exceptional. They also have western fare including pizza and burgers which look really delicious too (I haven’t tried these yet). They remodeled the restaurant using Nepalese woodwork over the bar and added a small stage where they have jazz and other small acoustic acts on Saturdays. It is a great place to go to dine, bring a date or just unwind at the bar at happy hour. I’m really glad Tipsy Yeti is in my neighborhood.
Went here for a date night and the experience was great! We got the tornado fries, duck choila, sizzling momos and the beef burger. Everything was 10/10 delicious and came out quickly. The service was top notch! There was some lovely live jazz music to enjoy while we ate and had some wine and cocktails. Overall a great experience and was the perfect vibe for a cozy night out.

Great food, fantastic drinks, wonderful staff! Just found this wonderful restaurant, apparently they have only been open a few months but they have things very well dialed in. The staff couldn’t be more friendly or welcoming. They were very attentive and kept us up to date on when our order would be ready. I ate the pork Sekuwa which was absolutely delicious and my wife had the salmon which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Even the sides were amazing (those mashed potatoes!). Perfect portion sizes. Cannot recommend the cocktails enough, they are using unique combinations and making perfectly balanced drinks. Menu had a wide selection with good options for different dietary needs including gluten free, vegetarian, & and a strong kids menu. We will definitely be going back soon!

Lol! Paneer Momo Slander Alert - Neighbor here - this is hands-down the best all-around regular and late-night neighborhood spot in West Berkeley. Open late, fantastic food, great bar, crazy-good service - and authentic & kind to beat. Recent review slandered my Paneer Momo, saying they had meat in them??? Get real, my friend, this paneer is toothsome, seasoned, and YES can GIVE YOU THE THOUGHT it's meat....bc it's that good. This spot would never mistake in this way. Great restaurants are a tremendous community service. And this one is a clear and consistent iteration of a community treasure. Do yourself a favor & drop in. & order the Paneer Momo, or other! (Pork Sekuwa or the burger are fire). xo, & you're welcome, Liz P.
Phenomenal food in a fun atmosphere. We liked it so much we came back the next night with the rest of the family and everyone had a great experience. The Tornado fries (spiral cut deep fried potato rounds with two sauces) and lamb momo (dumplings) were the two dishes we had to order both nights, but everything we tried was truly delicious. We stuck with the Himalayan menu but they also serve burgers and pizza. There is a full bar in one half of the space with a small stage for live music - making it a great place for drinks, apps and music as well. Highly recommend for the awesome Himalayan flavors, great service and welcoming atmosphere.
Amazing vibes. The Momo were juicy, both chicken and lamb. The chowmein had a smoky flavor and was very good. The tornado fries reminded me of fries in Nepal. I loved the drink “Ranjana Galli” soda, which brought back memories of sodas in Ranjana Galli, Kathmandu, Nepal. Uniquely named dishes. Loved it!
Tipsy Yeti is an absolute gem. The hospitality alone makes this place special—these folks are incredibly lovely and genuinely make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. They really know how to show you a great time. The food is just as impressive: good, unique, and full of flavor. The dumplings are delicious and a must-order, and whatever you do, get the johl sauce—it takes everything to the next level. Great vibes, great people, and memorable food. I’ll definitely be back.
