Truly a wonderful experience! Our waitress was very friendly and very thorough in going through the menu. The atmosphere was welcoming & relaxed. Our food was amazing. We had the calamari & focaccia bread for appetizers and fusili sausage pasta & Rigatoni sausage tennis pasta for entrees. Everything was delicious! The coy pond was fun to sit by and look at. Definitely make sure to make a reservation if you want to sit by it. It's totally worth it!!
Absolutely beautiful place. Steven was so awesome in accommodating my family and making sure we had a place although the place was packed!! Make sure to do a reservation and do them early if you plan on going to guarantee a spot. Even if you had to wait 2 hours it’s so worth it!! And Cory was our server. 10/10 made sure we got everything we could need and went above and beyond with the service. Definitely can say he was up there in the best waiters I’ve had at any restaurant! Receptionist was also very kind. You can tell these people love their job and that makes the experience feel like the business is a huge family. Other than the amazing service from all the staff the food was immaculate. I highly suggest the ribs with the noodles! I had also gotten the bees knees as my drink and it was refreshing! Definitely gives a nice warm day out on the patio vibes. And of course I had dessert and let me tell you!! Their chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream is now my favorite dessert there! I highly recommend that dessert! On top of that the place is beautiful! Would be amazing for a date night. It’s dimly lit but with the hanging lights and not to mention the indoor pond on the patio is the prettiest sight I’ve seen in a restaurant ! Definitely look through the photos on their Facebook and on the reviews. It is a little pricey but I can see why!! Remarkable staff, beautiful views, and delicious foods! If you like coffee too you can give their coffee a look! They have many options as well as their wine list! If you’re on the edge of coming here just go! I don’t care for Italian foods or food of this sort but this changed my mind completely. I had no complaints whatsoever. :) Would absolutely come here again after the care we got tonite.
Absolutely wonderful experience. It was my first time there and took my wife with me for a dinner date. Our server Mark was very polite and professional and helpful with the menu items. The Calamari was cooked to perfection and the sauce was amazing. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The chicken my wife had was so succulent and fell off the bone and the flavors were incredible. Overall the atmosphere was very pleasant and if you have the time and money to make it there it is definitely worth your while. The tiramisu was the best I've had in years.
so so good!! i’ve been here multiple times and it never disappoints. not only is the atmosphere the best in the area, especially the patio, the food is always delicious. pictured is the margarita pizza, salmon, fennel sausage rigatoni, spaghetti and clams, tortellini vodka sauce, and a meatball (my fave). the martinis are excellent and so is the wedding soup. perfectly cooked calamari and you can’t go wrong with butter cake to finish. i’m always looking forward to my next visit!
Having the romaine parmigiana salad was like biting into Spring. We opted for the Chianti was nicely light… lamb lollipops were the perfect appetizer.. we opted for the pasta w sausage and a meatball … heaven!! When you’re away from amazing Italian restaurants in NE Ohio.. always an amazing go to when passing through ❤️
Absolutely wonderful high end restaurant, the drinks, food and service were great!! Big shout out to Mark our waiter 👍🏻☺️👍🏻felt very welcomed and not rushed like you do at some other places. Few things that I'd say on the downfall they definitely need to update the women's bathroom cause there's 1 stall. An if you want to be seated near the koi fish make sure you ask ahead of time. Reserve because this place gets busy and we can see why. Beautiful, peaceful, layed back place with amazing food, drinks and not excessive TVs. We'll definitely be returning 🥰🤌🏻
Amazing food and service was amazing thank you for being awesome and David our server was so kind and wonderful 😊🙏
Delicious food and wonderful staff! Really loved their pasta and even had their sausage pasta for takeout and it was delicious
We had a great birthday celebration on a Tuesday early evening. We had reservations but the crowd was small when we arrived. We were immediately seated. Water, bread and dipping oil quickly appeared. Our server was prompt and efficient throughout. He also delivered four, yes four, menus and a wine list. None of the menus were crowded but several were oversized and awkward to navigated. We enjoyed the bread and oil and our entrees arrived quickly. Tues is $14 pasta night. We got arrabiata and a carbonera dishes that were excellant. The portions were right sized so we had room for the butter cake dessert. We had a glass of Merlin with dinner but passed on coffee. Overall, this was a great meal. But....the decor was an open "industrial" ceiling painted black. When the crowd was small it was no problem. As the crowd grew, the noise grew until conversation wasn't possible. The open kitchen area was nice to watch but made the noise worse. I think we will look at patio seating next time. There will be a next time. A great meal and experience with wine and dessert for under $60. You would have to be crazy not to go back.
Absolutely the best Italian restaurant I've eaten at in all my travels. The food was amazing and homemade pastas were fantastic. We got a bottle of wine (or two lol), had an appetizer, shared 2 main courses and enjoyed the butter cake dessert whis was AMAZING. The atmosphere and ambiance of the place make it a nice touch to enjoy a meal and coi pond if your sitting in the outdoor area. I will surely make this a stop on my travels when visiting my family out here again.
We couldn’t have asked for a better Mother’s Day brunch at Aqua Pazzo. The interior itself is intimate and beautiful, but then the bright natural light of the outdoor light makes it two different atmospheres. Nicole took such good care of us. She’s very friendly and authentic. Request her if she’s there. The open kitchen was a joy to watch and even better to smell. The menu is well thought-out and diverse. We started with the greens and while properly prepared and tender, they were a salt bomb. I didn’t mind it too much though. The wedding soup is top-notch and a standout for this area where it’s on a lot of menus. The Italian Chopped Salad is recommend with your meal. The Chicken Milanese was a perfectly breaded cutlet with creamy risotto and fresh lemon squeezed over the arugula that topped it. The house made Fusilli Sausage Pasta was a great portion and perfectly balanced cream sauce. Loved it! For dessert the butter cake was just that, an explosion of butter. It had a nice crust on the edges, very good. The special strawberry tiramisu was in a little glass jar, but wanted more. This is one of the best restaurants in the Youngstown area. I look forward to returning when back in town. Grazie!
First off I’m baffled that this place doesn’t have all 5 star reviews. We drove all the way from Pittsburgh tonight to come for a valentine dinner. We go out to eat a lot and I’m actually a server/bartender myself so I know what it means to have bad and good service. This place gives 10/10 service. We walked in and our reservation was ready. Corey our server was so friendly gave recommendations smiled and answered any questions we had. From the welcoming service staff and amazing food we were so appreciative. The general manager even stopped by our table and knew it was our first time to welcome us and see how our meal was. We chatted with them about the history of the place etc. We got the pappardelle bolognese, beet salad, wedding soup, NY strip (had the best char on it), butter cake (Corey recommended-DO IT), and strawberry tiramisu that I physically couldn’t tackle due to being so full. Shout out to the bartender too for the best Negroni I have ever had. Host also took our picture leaving too with no issues. Thank you! We will be back.
Super good! The pizza, pasta, and apps were all outstanding. It was nice going for their pasta special as we got to try that and some other dishes on the menu. A good spot for some yummy Italian food.
OMG! What an Amazing experience we had! Went for my husband's birthday and it was a wonderful time 😊❤
The food was good, but it wasn't great. The bread they give you is terrible, and the wedding soup was the best I've ever had. The building was beautiful, I wish we were able to sit outside. But overall, a good experience.
The best Italian I've had in Youngstown. Definitely a contender for the best Italian I've had period. I've been in here twice. The first time, I dined in the dining room which is stellar. I had dessert on the patio (which is insulated and heated), and is a real treat. The second time I booked the patio almost a month out (it fills up quickly, so you need to book it early). I have no complaints. Our server Gina was ready with recommendations for both wine and food for our party. The large plate she recommended (the Chicken Saltimbocca) was exceptional. I tend to avoid eating things I believe I can make at home, but I was blown away. We ordered two Grande Boards of meat and cheese for a group of 9. I'm of the opinion that the dessert here blows out even the food, I tried a little of all three desserts that my group ordered (Tiramisu, Carrot Cake, and Butter Cake). They're all great. It's probably my second favorite tiramisu (first being at Gervasi Vineyard), and the best Butter Cake I've had. Don't skip Dessert!
This was our first time going and let me start out by saying it will not be the last. Our server Mark was awesome, made us feel at home. The food is off the charts, so delicious!!! We live in Pittsburgh and this restaurant is so worth the drive.
Aqua Pazzo truly surpassed my expectations. This was my first visit, and I absolutely loved the experience from start to finish. The hostess was delightful; as soon as we mentioned our reservation, she took just seconds to show us to our table. The food was nothing short of exquisite. Every dish was a delight to the senses, and I was so immersed in savoring each bite that I completely forgot to take any photos! To end the meal, I decided on a dessert—not out of hunger but simply to cap off such a wonderful experience. It was the perfect touch to a memorable meal, and I can confidently say Aqua Pazzo is one of the best dining spots around. also the service was great..Highly recommend!
Looking for a hidden gem of a scratch made Italian restaurant please run to Aqua Pazzo. The dishes we had were delicious and great portions! They have an extensive wine list and a room of wine I believe you can reserve for a large party. 2 distinct dining rooms that were both beautiful. Please try them, you won't be disappointed!
One of the best Italian restaurants I've been to. Everything was perfection, great atmosphere and if you're into dining al fresco, they have a stunning patio.
I average eating out 4 to 5 days a week minimum and let me tell you what this is my new favorite restaurant. Everything was totally awesome from all the appetizers to the entrees to the butter cake 👀🥰🙏🙌❤️ thank you aqua pazzo and staff. Absolutely extremely awesome and pleasant. The atmosphere from the daytime to the evening with the lighting was absolutely beautiful
Absolutely beautiful atmosphere! The food was so delicious, with so many options and our waitress Samantha was so wonderful and fun! You have to try the Butter Cake, Fresh Mozzarella Caprese, Arancini (crispy risotto balls).... So delicious! I got the Cioppino (Lobster Seafood Stew). It's pricey, but it was my 50th, so why not. Delicious! Next time, we definitely want to eat in the patio area. It's beautiful with lights, fireplace, snowy scenery and Italian prints. We were still able to experience it and take pics.
Had a fantastic time here for dinner with my girlfriends. Our server Nicole was AMAZING! She made the experience even more fun to be honest. Each of our meals was so good. The crispy risotto balls were amazing. We finished with the butter cake which was delicious!
Absolutely loved it! Going back next weekend to try something else off of their menu. Fabulous wait staff. All of the employees are friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the veal cutlet. It was prepared to perfection. All of the appetizers were phenomenal.
This place was amazing. The atmosphere is super cute, the bar area is nice and cozy, and the whole feel of the place gives very upscale vibes. The burrata and prosciutto was a great appetizer! I got the spaghetti cacio e pepe and it was a very nice buttery cheese sauce while my wife got the seafood spaghetti which was also very well made. The seafood spaghetti was a touch spicy though which was a surprise to her. We also had the tiramisu and the butter cake for dessert. The tiramisu was an interesting interpretation of traditional flavors, but we won't order that again. The butter cake however, was incredible. Our friends recommended we try it, and admittedly we were skeptical with the name, but it is the best thing on their dessert menu.
Aqua Pazzo is an amazing restaurant with an outstanding patio seating area! There is a very large fish pond with many waterfalls, cool blue underwater lights and a large amount of beautiful koi fish!! The food here is exquisite!! They have great specials menus that are always updating and changing! Dessert is the Best! Butter cake with ice cream and strawberries is so rich and delicious!! Highly recommend this place!!
Not everyone often you find a restaurant that clicks off all five stars but this one did it! Definitely in my top five best of the best. You can tell it's a business that truly cares about it's patrons. The food was excellent and the service and atmosphere were perfect. Make sure to reserve an table out by the waterfall/koi pond and leave room for the bitter cake! You will love your fine dining experience at this amazing restaurant!
Nothing short of AMAZING! We sat at the bar and were served by Justin, who did an amazing job! He gave us great recommendations and was super positive and attentive. The food was unmatched, high quality and incredibly delicious not to mention the lovely atmosphere
Words cannot even describe how amazing this restaurant is! Aqua Pazzo Restaurant in Boardman is a stunning dining experience you will never forget! From the moment you first walk in the hostess was super nice. They have 3 rooms when you first walk in is the lounge/bar area, the next room is the dining room where you can watch the chefs cook your food. The creme de la creme was the patio..my mouth literally dropped as soon as I stepped foot inside. There are branches with white flowers hanging from the ceiling and chandelier crystals. You can tell it's Italian influence by the huge pictures of Al Pacino, Sophia Loren and other greats. The pièce de résistance is the stunning huge pond so clear you can see the bottom with the most beautiful colored koi 🐟 which leads to a waterfall. Surrounding the pond all around are tables. What a view with your meal..ask your server for fish food and they will bring a cup of it so you can feed the fish while waiting for your food. They have quite an extensive menu and food was a little pricey but I can completely tell you with all honesty, best food I have ever eaten, worth every penny. The server, he was so accommodating and helped me with my food choice to make it gluten free for me and sweetener free. I ordered the Organic Chicken Milanese which is traditionally breaded which he made grilled for me and put the dressing on the side since it was sweetened. Literally nothing was left on my plate! I also highly recommend the Luxury tea they bring out the tea pot with your tea so it was just like a tea house experience. I was told if you come at night it's all lit up and the pond is lit up blue. In the summer they open the atrium so you are sitting outside around the pond and the waterfall. Truly the best dining experience in Ohio by far! Highly recommend making reservations as they get full real quick! 492 Mcclurg Rd. Boardman, OH 44512
I was surprised at where the restaurant was located as it is somewhat off the beaten path. It doesn't look like much from the outside but once inside it is extremely inviting. I was told the building was a former culinary school and it is appears to carry on in the dishes offered. I found the service to be excellent and the food was delicious. I highly recommend.
Our waiter was also the bartender and shouldn't have had to be. He was a good waiter but we had some waits that were longer because of this. He was really nice and went out of his way to custom make us some cajun seasoning to add to my daughter's bland alfredo. It made a huge impression on us that he made up his own blend, since they didn't have any. The Moscow mule, and my burger were great. The bolognase was really tasty. The butter cake was something that I can only describe as perfect. It was cooked in such a way it was soft, chewy and creamy all at one time. All in all a great meal with some minor issues.
Highly recommend to anyone and everyone. We went as a family the forst time. We already booked a second time to go back as a couple. Absolutely fabulous. Our server David was phenomenal!
From host stand to our table, the atmosphere was warm and inviting inside but I had no idea there was a Koi pond so when we were seated outside on the patio, I was blown away with the decorations, seating, and overall everything was beautiful. Sierra was our server and she was above and beyond with our service with it being our first time. She checked on us the perfect amount and she clearly knew what she was doing. She was also very helpful with explaining the menu as it is mostly in Italian. I will end with saying the food left me speechless. The pasta is amazing. I will be coming back and trying another pasta. I highly recommend. P.S. - we did make a reservation at 5:30 and had no wait once we arrived.
This restaurant is so unsuspecting! From the outside, you would never imagine the beauty that lies within! My family and I visited Aqua Pazzo recently for a family celebration and I have nothing but praise for this establishment! Every person we encountered was lovely and hospitable - servers, bartenders, host/hostess, chefs, and management. The ambiance and decor were stunning! I absolutely love the black & white photos, koi pond, and outdoor pergola. We had a variety of dishes and every person raved about their selection! We enjoyed appetizers, salads and dessert. I had a delicious and tender filet cooked perfectly to my liking. I cannot wait to return again! Special thanks to Johnny and Stephen!
Food was amazing! Our server Angelique was friendly, fun, and attentive. The food was amazing and they were very accommodating and informative about gluten free item. If Angelique didn’t know she asked to be sure. Drinks were wonderful! I highly recommend the Chicken Entrée, the Carrot Cake Dessert, and the Basilcello. 10/10 for sure!
Great FOOD, great staff, beautiful restaurant. Can not say enough good things about the experience. This place feels like you're truly dining in the heart of Italy. Not only is that matched by the food quality, but the ambience and the staff were also incredible. The taste and quality of each ingredient that's put into their food can be quickly and easily felt. If given the option, enjoy dinner on the patio as its beautiful! If you are in the area, or visiting the area, I promise you will not regret visiting.
Two words : Butter Cake, but that is not the only appeal of the restaurant. The atmosphere is great. I went during the holiday season the decoration and coziness of the establishment fit the theme nicely. Also the staff are efficient and friendly. My party orders the pork chop meal and their pizza ( I believe it is the only one that has spice to it). Both entrees were delicious. When I go next time I will probably order the pizzas again as it is nice dish to eat with others.
We reserved a room for my husband's retirement dinner. Everything was amazing! The table was beautifully set. Our staff was excellent and a joy to talk to. The food I selected was divine. There were no complaints from anyone. They even put my husband's name in the menu and gave him a specially plated dessert. I would recommend Aqua Pazzo to everyone. Thank you all so much ❤️
This might be the best Italian restaurant I've been to. Fresh pasta, fresh sauces, seasonal menu items to look forward to... We have consistently had great experiences eating here! Personal recommend: get the patio seating near the fish pond. We come for Xmas every year and get reservations to sit at the patio. It is indoors and heated, so don't worry about getting cold! Every dish I've had has been well composed, excellently prepared, and delicious 😋 Appetizers, entrees, desserts and cocktails. I've yet to try anything here that is less than above average. Highly recommended!
We make dinner reservations here a couple of times a year and always request patio seating next to the koi pond. The atmosphere and lighting on the patio sets the perfect mood, especially after dark (we always request a late reservation time just for the ambiance). The food is always exceptional and so is the service. The dessert options never disappoint either. I always show up thinking I know what I'm going to order, and as soon as I see the specials menu I find something else that sounds too good to pass up. I still have yet to try their house-made pasta. Maybe next time! We always make our reservations over a month in advance and that usually guarantees us the seating we prefer (there are only about 10 tables that are right next to the pond). The other patio tables are still great, but you can't look at the fish...
I just want to take a few moments to acknowledge the FOH staff and the customized experience they provide each time I visit. Steve, the GM always makes it a point to stop by and speak and proceeds to check on me throughout my visit. Gina, Angelique, Jordan, Anthony, Justin, and Mark take excellent care of me when I dine at the bars, and pour quite a nice cocktail! Amanda, Cory, David, Tyra, Taylor Devann and Sam always stop by and make me feel welcome, even when Im not sitting at a table in their section. Thomas the food runner and Connor the lead barback are both personable and efficient. McKenna, Avari, Mason, Ryan, Caleb and Arius all do great work and take pride in what they do. If I missed anyone, it wasn’t intentional. Thank you all, for making me, my friends and my family feel welcome and valuable as customers!
I went here for the first time last night, and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a restaurant in a very long time. Nicole was our server, and she was very informative on the menu, made great suggestions, as well as actively checked on us. Not only the service was excellent, but the food was phenomenal! We sat on the patio and was absolutely beautiful. I would recommend going here!
This restaurant is in an industrial style area.. but don’t be shocked. The food here is top notch, I had an amazing pasta carbonara! We saw people online talking about this place and sharing photos, so we thought we better check it out. DO NOT book your reservation on OpenTable, they will stick you in the bar area looking at a TV… this is not the experience that you see online. You get the same food, but the atmosphere is basic. I feel the restaurant needs to make that clear on their OpenTable booking description. You need to call the restaurant directly and specifically say you want to sit on the patio, those are the photos you see online of Aqua Pazzo.
The pasta, hot peppers and warm butter cake was phenomenal. For the price you pay I would think our server would have been a bit more professional by introducing herself, giving us recommendations and not asking us what we wanted to drink while walking by. My husband ordered a cocktail first which wasn't brought out by the time the entrée came. She admitted she forgot to pick it up from the bar and it needed to be remade. We were sat right inside the door which was a bit of a bummer because it was our first visit and we wanted to see a little more of the restaurant which we thought looked beautiful in photos. The room we were sat in was near the open kitchen. If we go again we will be sure to make a special request about where we are sat. Reservations in advance are absolutely recommended.
Airline chicken was great! Risotto balls were pretty good and the focaccia was decent. The eggplant Parmesan was a bit chewy and the black pepper risotto tasted a little old, and the black pepper was overpowering. I would normally give a restaurant like this at five star rating, but the service was passable at best. I really don’t think our server wanted to be there so it wasn’t a great first Impression. $120 for two people and that’s excluding alcohol. I would expect a little better service. I’ll give it another shot though.
First time here and will be back! I lived in Italy for 4 years and to see spaghetti carbonara on the menu, I was up for the challenge! It was by far one of the best I've had in the area! Rich, creamy, with the bite of parmesano rigaino. Delish! We also tried the Margarita pizza. A brick oven treat! Made with quality ingredients and full of flavor! The rigitoni bolognese was true Northern Italy style. If you want a true Italian experience with a wonderful, modern atmosphere, this place is a must .
Beautiful place inside with great atmosphere but the food is just not that good. My wife and I are foodies at heart and we've been recommended this place several times. We gave it two separate tries because we thought it must have been a mistake. The food is just not super in any way. Just being honest.
Went there January 28th. Nice place but make sure to tell them to cook the pasta properly! Ours was raw. They called it Al' Dente. It was chewy and sat in our stomachs wrong. Flavor of the dish was amazing. Was still a disappointment. We had planned to indulge in some Desserts but the Attitude about the Raw pasta put us off. Good news was after 5 minutes in the microwave at home it was almost cooked.
I heard they have a wood fire oven,so I tried to order 4 pizzas by calling them for carry out, call 3 times none ever answered the phone. So I went their to order carry out. The hostess said I need to go to the bar to order a to go order. The bartender said I have to go back to the hostess stand. She said she doesn't do to go orders. And to go back to the bar. I am not going to try to make someone take my money. I really wanted to try their pizzas. I just ended up walking out . Not with pizza but a sour taste. Probably won't ever try them again.
This is a review based on 4 experiences with Aqua Pazzo. A summary of them all: First experience was my husband’s first time. I had ordered wine to be fancy, however he wanted Michelob Ultra. The server laughed at him when he ordered it. We let it go, and came for a second time thinking it was just an off day for the server. My food was undercooked TWICE, which the food was regular pasta and sauce, nothing too fancy. They ended up taking it off the bill and our bartender was very kind about the situation. So we thought, just an off night, we’ll go back a third. We sat down, waited 10 minutes at the bar for WATER meanwhile all of the bartenders and managers were taking shots with customers. After they noticed us saying to each other we should just leave, we finally got served. Food was bland, no flavor. With Italian food you’d expect the opposite. After eating, we were given our bill so we put the card down right away. As we sat for about 15 minutes, we noticed them taking more shots and that was our final straw. We said we’d never dine in again. This was our fourth time- takeout food. Total was nearly $100. I ordered pasta with red sauce. My food was completely dry, inedible. Overall, this place is extremely overrated. The service is horrible, the food is not even close to authentic Italian, and it’s overwhelmingly expensive. After spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars here, I do not recommend.
