Recensioni di A Scibretta Bordighera
Federico's is always a guarantee. Top-quality ingredients, carefully prepared dishes without unnecessary frills, just substance and authentic flavor. The wine cellar is carefully selected. The goat and beans and wild boar are simply extraordinary: dishes that express the region at its best.
Good local cuisine, snails as a starter and a well-prepared goat and bean stew as a main course, but really too heavy for my digestion. Very attentive and friendly service from both the owner and the chef. The only downside was the lack of comfort outside, where you sit on iron chairs without cushions. Reasonable prices.
A magical place to savor traditional Ligurian dishes. Chef Federico prepares exceptionally delicious dishes, and Florence welcomes you with unparalleled warmth. We celebrated our baby's first birthday there and felt right at home! If you're looking for a place away from mass tourism and want to enjoy a unique experience for your taste buds, we highly recommend it!
Very kind employee! Service was good, food is different than I tried in Italy but it was good!
The service is amazing and the food is delicious and the restaurant is so charming!
Five stars for the surprise: August 14th, dining al fresco in a pleasantly cheerful setting. The female service was friendly and welcoming. The menu is interesting because it explains the dishes' origins as well as their substance: the cuisine aims to draw on local, Intemelian tradition. And it succeeds without overdoing the sauce and seasoning. So, make room for corzetti, mandilli, brandacujun, and fish ciupin... The corzetti with butter and inland truffles were a delight that deserved a second helping. The wine list is interesting, especially on the page dedicated to organic wines: we ordered a Greco del Salento with its characteristic "rustic" flavor. We'll be back to try the more autumnal dishes.
An elegant yet welcoming restaurant. The wait staff were also very welcoming, ready to accommodate every need with a smile. We started with an exceptional appetizer (brandacujun), abundant and satisfying, followed by a flavorful anchovy fry with their unique but delicious homemade pasta! You'll be speechless! Excellent quality dishes! And then we finished with exquisite desserts! We'll definitely be back soon! Definitely worth a try! You'll be thrilled :) PS: If you don't specify a glass of wine, they'll give you a whole bottle of wine! :)
I ate at this restaurant in Bordighera Alta for the first time. The food was excellent. The menu is limited, and that's fine. We had fabulous breaded mushrooms and amazing stockfish... which, for the first time in my life, was boneless! The Capponmagro was really good, although I would have preferred it warm. The desserts were excellent, and the olive oil gelato was top-notch. A well-deserved 5 stars! We'll see you again.
Delicious 😋
Fabulous food with traditional rabbit dishes and homemade pasta! wonderful location in the high side of Bordighera, among terraces and city walls. Here I ate the best tiramisù (Italian dessert) I have ever had and, since then, I have come back several times. Great for families and groups of friends. Reservations are mandatory if you want to find a spot! Prices are more than honest.
Fantastic family restaurant- wholly deserving of 5 stars

Besides the excellent, honest food (without any unnecessary frills), the hospitality and warmth are certainly worth mentioning. We were lucky enough to be able to sit down even late in the evening and enjoy the atmosphere! Oh yes, and the prices are more than fair! Truffle pasta for €18 – that says it all!
Nice local food, tried the fried porcini, Corzetti with truffles (very good) and gnocchi al castagno 👌🏼 service needs some more grooving in but overall nice!
Delicious local food to reasonable prices with outdoor seating in beautiful old Upper Bordighera.
The restaurant was busy (8pm) and we had to wait a little while to be shown to our reserved table. Though the restaurant specialises in local food, the waiting staff were very friendly and helpful in describing the dishes, the menu per course was limited. Some of our pasta dishes were good, others said their pasta was disappointing. Unfortunately our desserts weren't that liked either and the panna cotta was served as pictured.
It was a huge disappointment to return to Scibretta after a couple of years away. I'd come often in the past, even after the first management change, and I remembered dishes cooked with care and attention, local ingredients, and prompt, professional service. We ordered a plate of barbajuai, recommended by the waitress as the dish of the day, along with fried porcini mushrooms, only to be told they weren't available because they can no longer find the brusso (cheese) for the dough... Notify them instead of encouraging them to order? Remove them from the menu? We then ordered two first courses: cruxeti with truffle, whose flavor was barely noticeable (absent!), and pappardelle with saffron and what should have been local pink shrimp. I was served a plate of watery pasta with peeled and obviously frozen shrimp, as well as parsley, which almost completely covered the flavor of the rest. Both first courses cost a whopping €18 each: definitely an affront for such a long shelf life. I didn't find anything of the place I loved so much in the past, and I definitely won't be returning. There are definitely better places.
A truly cozy-looking restaurant. Unfortunately, we don't speak Italian, and communication in English was only possible with the chef. We had the wild boar and the truffle pasta. The meat dish was delicious, as was the polenta. Unfortunately, the pasta only tasted like pasta water, and the generously shaved truffle unfortunately lacked flavor and didn't save the dish. While we did receive melted butter when we asked, I wished they had simply offered me a different dish. Not a word of regret when I returned almost the entire meal. We paid full price but didn't tip because we didn't receive good service. Even though we don't speak the language, we still know when people are talking badly about us. It's a shame, we can't recommend this restaurant. Neither for the taste nor the service.
We booked not realising that it had changed hands. It was so good before, offering seriously prepared food. Apart from chatty front of house awful, sloppy service, no wine, bread, correct cutlery and the food was at best mediocre and poorly presented. Then over charged by just a couple of euros but summed up a really disappointing evening.
The restaurant has changed management. What was once a cosy family run restaurant with wonderful local food has become a rather awful heartless eatery. How sad, it’s just plain dreadful now. Stay away from it.
