I enjoyed the food and the drinks, the sun never sets on the British empire definitely ranks amongst my favorites and the Waldorf salad is delicious(but you must like dill). The Fiesta fries were also very good and service was likewise great

The best place downtown for proper cocktail. The bartenders are mixologists that know their tradecraft. There is an ever evolving cocktail and food menu with something for everyone. Great atmosphere for small meetups or a party of old friends. The burger and steak entree options are phenomenal. A secondary spot is opening up soon down the street and should be an amazing addition.

I loved the old fashioned. A strong smoky wood aroma. It smelled like a warm fire on Christmas day. Ordered the hummus and the cheese dip for the table. The hummus was more of a bean dip. But combined with the cheese dip: 😙👌. They have large portion sizes for some items, almost too big. I ordered the street dog, and I got way more than I expected. I could barely finish the hot dog part, didn't get to the fries. The rice bowl also looked pretty big.

Great cocktails. Great staff. Great time. Had an Irish coffee (they make their own whip cream in house) best one Ive had! Also learned what a “Last Call” cocktail is and the history behind the revival of the almost forgotten drink. Cant go wrong with either of those!

Their drinks are expensive, but seriously worth it. Plenty strong and I've never seen another bartender put so much care into a cocktail. A full five minutes with a blowtorch, tasting and careful pouring. Also the food is fantastic.

This place is so cool! Great spot, beautiful views of plants and the canal, and amazing atmosphere. Our server was extremely helpful picking cocktails out and recommending dinner spots. Drinks tasted great and the whole vibe was spot on.

Sidecar was an awesome experience. We were back in town for a wedding and it was our first time at the new location. We sat on the patio overlooking the stream and it was great! The drinks were excellent (as expected) and the food was awesome as well! Highly recommend the Chicago dog and the brussel sprouts.

This place is great, as the reviews state. Indoor and outdoor seating, but everyone orders outside. They take breakfast to the next level, beyond your standard cafes or breakfast locations in SLO. Coffee/Tea selection is Wonderful, while taking pride in how it is served. We were a party of 6, which 3 kids, and it worked well. Also dog friendly outside.

Excellent cocktails. Cannot emphasize enough how well-balanced these drinks are. The one percenter was the smoothest spirit-forward bourbon drink I’ve had. Crushing turts was gorgeously presented an delicious with a distinctive funkiness. Bartenders were friendly, answered questions willingly, service was quick. The wasabi fries were delicious and creative, General Tso’s chicken was tasty. The outlier was the lo mein noodles, which were a bit bland. Would definitely return.

The Sidecar Bar team sets the bar high with always coming up with creative new drinks, the freshest ingredients and we just love their drink presentations! Happy hour until 6pm made is a great choice for a pre dinner snack and drinks. Drinks may seem small but are delicious and heavy and correctly sized in my opinion. Happy hour drinks were $11 at our visit

I can't ever wait to go back to sidecar! It's always first up on my list of places to go. The appetizers are always amazing, the Brussel sprouts and tater tots are always a must. The hand crafted cocktails are the best in town, the main courses are worth every calorie and penny. I would eat breakfast lunch and dinner here everyday if it was possible. The staff is always friendly and amazing. It's the perfect place for date night, dinner with friends, a celebration or brunch. 10/10 best place in slo!

There were a couple minor service hiccups, but the food and drink, as well as the proactive attitude of the staff, means this place still deserves 5 stars at least for the day I was there. Update: I've learned that some staff have a brazenly indifferent attitude.
