Lovely little place, nice atmosphere. Chilled music, nicely lit, ideal for couples are parties. Intimate lighting. We were welcomed lovely, drinks were nice, most drinks are $9 and under. A beer was $7 coke $3, very reasonable. Lovely staff nice place will definitely be back. We didn’t have food unfortunately but from what we saw and the reaction of other customers, all was good :-)
I had such a great experience at At Nine! The atmosphere was perfect — cozy, stylish, and just the right vibe. Definitely a 10/10 for me. I tried the lychee martini (9/10) and the lychee margarita (8/10) — both were super refreshing, but the martini was my favorite. The appetizers were amazing, especially the chicken wings with sweet chili sauce. Crispy, flavorful, and seriously addictive. The service? Honestly, one of the best I’ve had in a while. The staff checked on us often and made sure we had everything we needed. When we didn’t like one dish, they replaced it without hesitation and didn’t even charge us. That kind of customer service is rare these days, so that’s a 10/10 in my book. Overall, this is a hidden gem I’d recommend to anyone. Whether you’re there for drinks, small bites, or dinner, you’re going to leave happy.
Had a great meal here. Food was delicious and the team was great, Gerard especially. Definitely coming back.
Gerard is the best bartender I’ve ever had. He made the experience fun and exciting! Had an awesome time here!
Five stars across the board, the customer service was excellent and the food and drinks were amazing. I highly recommend recommending this beautiful, quaint restaurant.
I really like the vibe of this place! Walked in without reservations. We took advantage of their happy hour drinks and ordered the calamares. Both the drinks and food were delicious. It's a nice spot to dine and catch up with friends. I would definitely recommend it and will definitely be back!
Delicious Thai food, great cocktail selections. Servers were kind and attentive.
Amazing Thai and great ambiance! Ordered two wok dishes: one basil stir fry with beef, the other cashew stir fry with chicken both medium spicy. Both had amazing flavor, high quality tender meats, and fresh vegetables. This was one of the best thai meals I've had! The price was very reasonable. Great service as well. Highly recommend!
The food is amazing and very flavorful. I really liked it and will try again. The ambience is pretty good. Gerard who was the server was also very friendly and helpful.
At Nine Restaurant & Bar was a fanciful Thai restaurant marked by a giant glowing #9. The decor was ornate and creative with spectacular chandeliers and free gaming branches of faux-cherry blossom branches. It gave the space a dream-like orchard feel. With only space for approximately 25 people, we patiently waited for them to call us on our phone for our table. On Fridays they don’t accept call ahead reservations. The cocktail menu like the seating space was limited, but what we ordered was fruity, strong and satisfying. We ordered the Hello Kitty and Oops, both were a delight. The Oops we had to order twice we enjoyed it so much. For starters, we ordered Calamari and the @9 Dumplings. The calamari was traditional and didn’t disappoint with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce. The dumplings tasted like Sate sauce as a filling and we couldn’t get enough. We also ordered a second order of the dumplings. Unlike the cocktail menu the entree menu was robust. We ordered the Pad Ka-Prow w/ Shrimp and the Red Curry w/ Duck. The Duck was crispy and the Red Curry was bountiful. Plenty of sauce to ask for extra rice to soak it up for rice lovers. The Pad Ka-Prow had a generous amount of Shrimp with the tails still on. The sauce was delicious, but we would have liked more sauce. We were only able to use quarter the rice provided, but in our case, it worked out because the Red Curry begged for extra rice. We were in a party of four, ordered 7 drinks, three starters, three entrees (we didn’t try the third entree) and the total only came to $170. Great value for Manhattan.
Best curry in the city! I’ve been to sooo many thai restaurants here and this one is my favorite, all around. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere!
Delishhhhhh food super cute vibe phenomenal playlist (raveena cleo sol etc.) gerard is a superstar and made our experience! all the waiters super attentive and friendly
Gerard was wonderful!! The larb gai was great and the martinis were strong. A great date night before theater!
Welcomed in with no reservation, they was reasonably busy but had space for me and my wife. Friendly staff. Small little restaurant, clean and tidy Food was reasonably priced, it arrived quickly from ordering and was extremely well presented and very tasty. We both had a cosmopolitan beverage as it was during happy hour, it was nice and it was strong 😁 We wasn't pressured or rushed with our meals and we felt at ease all night. They were full up by the time we left (about 1 hr). We would definitely recommend this place if your in the area.
great place to visit! i was visiting NYC to celebrate my 21st and came to this restaurant with my parents & it was amazing!! austin greeted us at the door & we luckily got a table (it was a small venue) we were then served by kimberley who was really lovely too. we had drinks during happy hour which were great (pictured is a pineapple martini & strawberry martini) and the food came out within 10-15minutes of ordering. it was very fresh, super flavoursome and all over ace!! would 100% recommend if you’re in the area but be aware that seating is limited so you may have to wait a short amout of time for a table…it’s worth it though!🫶🏼
Food, drinks, and service were incredible. Gerard is a lot of fun and great with local recommendations. Very highly recommend this restaurant 🤙
Omg, you need to go to this place. Food is delicious, the place is wonderful, so you can have great pictures for Instagram. The presentation of the food is wonderful. In addition the service is the cherry on the cake. They have a lunch special from 11 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. the prices is crazy, you are going to love it!
This was the best soup I have ever had. The atmosphere is lovely and all of the staff are very attentive and kind, Gerard is brings especially good service. Must try the Udon Noodle Soup!!
Gerard was amazing! I’m visiting from Florida, where people are more chatty, so I really enjoyed his energy and service—it reminded me of home. I tried the lychee margarita, which was absolutely delicious and a new experience for me. The ambiance is relaxed and intimate, and I love the decor. The chandeliers, gold-framed mirrors, and ceiling details are all perfect.
At Nine Restaurant & Bar serves delicious and authentic Thai food. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, creating a great atmosphere for dining. A great spot for anyone looking to enjoy quality Thai cuisine in a stylish setting.
After six years of dining here, I can confidently say this is NYC’s premier Thai destination. The cuisine is consistently top-tier, but it’s the hospitality that keeps me coming back. The team is attentive and truly invested in the dining experience, creating a warm, seamless atmosphere that makes every visit a delight.
So 1st this place is really small however the decor and food is really good. We got the food pretty fast. Loved the veggie and the shrimp spring rolls. Fried chicken was really good. Udon was good . Will definitely go again. I had the oops cocktail it was good as well. And it's not that expensive neither. Nice date spot for sure.
It was a really good experience to ate at this restaurant, I enjoyed it so much. I definitely have to come back. The Thai food was amazing! I had the Lava chicken and I got a flamed chicken in front of me, it was really tasty, but it had a lot alcohol on it, so be careful. The servers were really nice and kind, and the place was clean and neat. PD: they have happy hour all night: $8 margaritas, martinis, etc.
Absolutely fell in love with this place! Such a cute Thai spot in NYC close to Time Square!!! Loved the festive decor of this place. Came here on a Saturday night and it was packed. The host was able to accommodate us and we were promptly seated. We had started with crispy spring rolls and they were gone within seconds. So so good. The Tom yum soup was what I needed on a cold Saturday night, so flavorful and comforting. The vegetable dumpling dipped in coconut curry is a must try. The red curry was delicious and tasted amazing with the white rice. The spicy pad kee mao was also splendid. Can’t find anything wrong with the dishes, each of them were competing with each other. Check out At Nine, this is a great place for GNO or date night. Food, Service, and Vibe is a 10/10. Highly Recommend!
This funky intimate spot is serving all the Thai Classics with few delicious curve balls. This tight dining room is ready for it's close up so have your phones ready. From the dark walls and ceiling to the many crystal chandeliers and the storm cloud ceiling decor At 9 is waiting for Instagram fame. Service was fast but attentive. Dinner highlights included 9 Dumplings. A mix of minced peanuts and turnips. It sounds deranged but it's so yummy. Lava Chicken was served and set ablaze at the table. It was not only fun but a zesty sweet and sour delight. The Shrimp Sate entre included a generous number of good size shrimp with fresh veggies and a thick crunchy sate peanut sauce. At 9 is clearly a neighborhood gem. Based on the full dining room that promptly filled before 6pm and remained full at 10pm when I past again on my way home on a mild Thursday night. Plan your visit accordingly.
The service, the hospitality, and the food were spectacular! Small complaint (me being slightly picky) but the chicken sate was dry - otherwise everything was amazing! The papaya salad has a spice to it and the panang tofu is good for those who like milder dishes. The Chicken drunken noodle was perfectly spiced but not spicy. The staff was quick and kind. There was quite a crowd but we didn’t feel like there were excessive wait times. Food Quality: 5/5 Hospitality: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 - dirty bathrooms but a great usage of the dining space, beautiful decorations Portion sizes: 5/5
PHENOMENAL!! Really could not recommend this place more. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was amazing. I asked them to make it spicy and it was the perfect amount. We got the dumplings, Tom Kha soup, the spicy basil fried rice, and the pad Thai. All 10/10. Fresh, hot, and delicious.
Hands down the best Thai food I’ve ever had! I ordered the Pad Med Ma-Muang with chicken, and it was the perfect balance of flavour and spice- absolutely delicious. Our server, Gerard, was fantastic and made the experience even better. The restaurant itself has such a lovely atmosphere: beautifully lit, cozy, and with music at just the right volume. 10/10 recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!
Gerard was an absolutely amazing bartender and served a mind blowing mojito. The special drinks are all delicious, the food is crave-able, and the servers/staff are all so friendly and welcoming. Would 100% recommend coming here for some drinks and a small bite.
I have been enJOYing the Delicious food and decor at @Nine for years. The Lunch Specials are affordable, filling and Authentic. While @Nine closes from 4-5pm for cleaning and Staff meals, a 3pm reservation gives you plenty of time to partake of their epicurean delights. There new Lunch Special menu includes a succulent Pork Chop with crispy Fries and a Salad, I know not very Thai but delicious all the same
Met up my friend here, small cozy spot. When I first arrived the doorway was closed off by a desk. Because of the space, I'm guessing it's to control the crowd that comes in? We came here for the happy hour they had going on after work. The decor here is definitely cute! My drinks were on point! The food was amazing as well. I loved my dish.
This Thai restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere & was greeted & seated while it was busy. Gone to eat with my best friend. The food & Margaritas was delicious. Our server was wonderful. It was very busy and she and the staff handled every customer with patience & kindness. Thank you so much! Will definitely return & highly recommended this Thai Restaurant! Happy Eating everyone! Cheers!
We go to @Nine often, because we work in the area. And every time we come the food is good and the service is good as well. Tonight we had Gerard , and he was exceptionally wonderful. Attentive. Funny. And friendly. Thank you Gerard for another great experience here @Nine.
I almost never leave reviews but I had to for this one. Thai food is my favorite cuisine and there’s a million Thai restaurants in Hell’s Kitchen that I’ve tried, but this is by far my favorite one. There’s something about the food where after I had it for the first time, I’ve been having intense cravings for it ever since. The sauces in their food is just so delicious and a bit different from other Thai restaurants in a way I can’t quite put my finger on. I’ve also been here with friends and family who are visiting and they’ve all been equally impressed. The service and atmosphere is also exceptional. You will not regret eating here
We've popped in during our last two NYC visits. This restaurant is so cute! We've had amazing service and the food is always delicious. There are a lot of dining options around, so visiting the same place twice says a lot about how much we loved it. 😅 Definitely do the Kaeng Fak Thong Avocado (pumpkin curry), but DO NOT MISS the At Nine Peanut Dumplings. What an unexpected treat! 😍🤤 Don't waste your time in a big city eating somewhere that's not an experience. 💜
This place is great! I've been here multiple times. The most recent time the menu was completely reworked. It was separated out into different dietary needs and/or tastes. There was a section for fish lovers, a section of vegan friendly options, etc. You could turn directly to your preference or dietary needs and find what they offered. The food is a work of art on the plate every time. I got a curry with a beautiful fan shaped item in it. My partner got the Pad Thai that was wrapped up in an egg, fried thin like a crepe. Someone else in the restaurant got the pineapple fried rice, served in half a pineapple. It was beautiful! The only reason I don't come here more often is that my break from work usually ends shortly after they open. The service has always been great. We haven't had to wait for a table, but I do recommend making a reservation. Its a small space, too, so I highly recommend it for small parties (2-4 people). The atmosphere is artsy, gilded mirrors on the walls with butterfly and chandeliers.
I had the pleasure of dining at At Nine Restaurant & Bar, and let me just say—what a vibe. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, stylish, and incredibly inviting. At Nine Restaurant & Bar strikes a perfect balance between upscale and comfortable, making you feel like you should dress nicely, but also like you could sit there for hours, enjoying good company and even better food. The staff? Absolutely top-tier. They are friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. You can sense their pride in their work, and this level of hospitality is truly exceptional. Now let’s talk about the food—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite felt intentional. It’s the kind of place where you start by saying, “I’ll just try one thing,” and somehow end up planning what you’re ordering next time before the check even arrives. I’m only in NYC for a week, but I can confidently say the restaurant won’t be my only visit. I will be returning before I head home—because some experiences deserve a repeat performance. Highly recommend. The experience was filled with great energy, excellent service, and delicious food. What more can you ask for?
I've been coming to At Nine for over 10 years, and the food has always been consistently good. It’s a cozy, charming spot right near Times Square — perfect for pre-Broadway dinners or casual lunches. Their lunch specials are a great deal, and the prices overall are very reasonable for Midtown. The service is attentive, and the atmosphere feels welcoming every time.
While searching for a Thai restaurant in the 8th and 9th Ave area, I came across At Nine Restaurant & Bar. I ordered a Spicy Basil Fried Rice with vegetables and tofu for takeout. They perfectly cooked the rice and tofu. The vegetables tasted fresh, and the basil flavor really stood out with just the right amount of spice. Adding some lime to the dish enhanced the flavor. The portion size was generous, and it filled me up. They packaged the takeout neatly, and it stayed hot until I reached my hotel on W 40th St. I ended up ordering the same dish twice, with some variations, from here during my stay in the neighborhood. While picking up my order, the restaurant ambience felt cozy and seemed perfect for lunch or a night out with friends and family. The staff were friendly and courteous during my visits. The restaurant prices its dishes moderately and provides many vegetarian choices on its menu. As a vegetarian who usually finds it difficult to get a wholesome meal while traveling, I enjoyed a delicious meal in the heart of NYC!
I grew up in the neighborhood and started coming to At Nine after I moved back home from college, it quickly became one of my comfort Thai spots. Since moving out of the neighborhood, it’s become our favorite place to return to. We highly recommend making reservations. Their happy hour is great, my spouse always orders a cosmopolitan, and my go-to dish is the Nine Rama with fried tofu and peanut sauce (such a generous portion of broccoli). My spouse usually gets the pad see ew with shrimp and chicken. When my parents are in the city this is our go to place to meet for dinner. Has food for everyone. Simple, fancy, decadent, healthy, comfort. The service is consistently friendly, and the ambiance is always nice. Every time we come back, it feels just as good.
This restaurant is one to put on your list! The food is so fresh and has so many options. I really enjoyed the ambiance as it was very unique, calming, and very cool. The staff was very nice and check on us frequently. I overall had an amazing experience here and hope more come to try this amazing food!
We had a lovely dinner here. Our server Gerard was very helpful in suggesting house specialties and favorites. The Lychee Martinis were a hit and then the appetizers were a fun Thai take on curry puffs. Both entrees were delicious and filling as well. Would love to come back!
This was my first time visiting the restaurant and I could honestly say that the food was really great. I had the shrimp dumplings with a side of coconut rice-- perfect match together. Even though the place would only seat like 15-20 people-- The decor was colorful, very relaxing ambiance and the music played was hip. I have no complains. I would go again for sure.
Reserved a table for 6 on a weekend night over a call and they asked to come in half an hour. Got the table 15 minutes later than the mentioned time. The decor and food here is great. Got the chicken spicy basil fried rice and panang curry (gave panang curry instead of red curry). Both tasted great though.
Quickly seated and served in this hip, cozy little restaurant. Food was brought out within minutes of ordering (almost TOO fast) and was a reasonable portion and tasty. Nothing marked as spicy was hot at all so definitely ask for spicier than you normally would. Staff was attentive. Disappointed no free hot tea but guess that just isn't to be in NYC. Overall it had a nice atmosphere and good food, even if not particularly memorable.
This cute little place is conveniently located by Time Square and flatiron. The space is funky and classy with limited seating when busy. Food is excellent and the service is friendly and efficient. The happy hours drinks are a bit weak but overall, a pleasant experience. We loved the duck curry.
The food was delicious and prices were typical for Manhattan. The dining experience was dark and kind of tight but the food was out fast and still hot, not greasy, spring rolls were crisp and the plate of pineapple rice was full. The drinks were tasty with just enough alcohol in the margarita.
Pros: delicious food, great quick service , nice presentation of food and restaurant decor, affordable drinks! Cons: parking was very hard to find. This place was cozy & delicious! We had the shrimp dumpling appetizer, I had drunken noodles with broccoli added, and my friend had Kua Kai with shrimp. Drinks and food were great! I would def return !!!
This is a chic place located near Times Square that lends itself towards a classy and intimate feel in the midst of the bustle outside. The kow mun kai tod was a crispy and delicious fried chicken dish that had a really nice crunch to it. I also had the soft shell crab papaya pok pok with avocado, which was a delicious blend of healthy flavors. I only wish that there was a bit more helping of the meat. Overall, I’d like to try more dishes here to see how they continue to handle Thai flavors in fusion.
Delicious Thai food and a quick service! I needed some food before heading to a Little Shop of Horrors show close by. Walked in and got a table for myself, had a minced pork basil chilli stir-fry with rice and fried egg and a mug of lychee ice tea. Very tasty! The place was very busy so I just quickly finished my meal and leave.
We were here for dinner this week! Had a great time. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Helped us navigate through the menu and gave us good recommendations. We ordered the Red Thai curry, Khao Sew as our mains and we got the dumplings as our appetizer. The dumplings were delicious had a nice sweet crunchy peanut filling with soft shell made with rice. The food had excellent presentation and good taste overall. As you can see from the picture Khao Sew was the showstopper. The service overall was great but there was only one server managing takeout and dine in so at times we had to wait for a few minutes other than that no complaints. I recommend you get chilli oil along with your order to spice up the food. It’s really spicy so try a little before you go all in!
This is my second time here. The first time I went with only one person and there was no wait. Much better experience than the second time. I called to reserve my group and when we got there they weren’t even ready. Even though the rest of the group didn’t all come in with me, we ended up waiting nearly 30 min for our reserved table. I understand it’s a small place, but it was a bit annoying to feel rushed especially after having to wait for our table. The server messed up our order and quickly replaced it. We didn’t have individual checks, but put cards with different amounts. Somehow, they managed to put the entire bill on my card and charge the other people I was with as well. I left them a message the same night and received a text message a few days after saying they made a mistake. I had already disputed this charge with my card. I’m really disappointed having been here before and had a better experience. I’m not sure they’re able to handle groups of people. The food is good and the drinks are strong. The decor is festive all year. I just wish they had better service.
I had a very uncomfortable experience dining here for the first time. I ordered the Shrimp Massaman with avocado, and the dish I was served was disturbing. The avocado placed on top of the meal was extremely rotten. When I flipped it over, the inside was brown and clearly spoiled. This completely ruined the experience and raised serious concerns about food quality and freshness.
