I'm in love with the BBQ beef sandwich and their potato salad is hard to beat. Usually quick service too. I'm a regular and encourage others to visit this mom and pop shop. The food is terrific!

One of the things I miss about living in Santa Clara is its large Korean community and thus grocery stores and restaurants. At Menlo BBQ, I can reconnect with the balance, flavors, and good health of Korean cuisine. It's quickly become one of my favorite lunchtime treats from work.

I get the BBQ sliced pork plate. It comes with some rice and a green salad with dressing that has a citrus tang. The pork is thinly sliced loin, marinaded in a Korean spicy sauce. They cook over a grill and the meat picks up a excellent smoky flavor. They also have an excellent hot sauce (not crazy spicy).

The bulgogi burger was great, a nice savory flavor from the bulgogi with a classic burger package. Fries were very well seasoned too. All cooked in a quick and timely manner.

I don't really need to say more than 5 stars. Have lived in Charleston, SC. Know BBQ well. Travel to Korea about 4 times per year and know Korean food well. This is the perfect combination. Everything is extremely well executed.

Local style Korean bbq. The Kalbi ribs w/ spicy chicken combo is a good amount of food (comes with rice and salad as well as the meat). The owner is friendly and makes you feel welcome.

Excellent BBQ chicken & pork, served with rice and fresh salad. Basic no frills restaurant - you order at the counter and limited seating on patio. Spicy items are pretty hot but they have mild and American BBQ as well.

They should consider changing the name of this place to Menlo Korean BBQ - A Korean Twist on American Classics. Case in point: the Bulgogi Burger with Garlic Fries. The worst thing about a hamburger is when the meat is overcooked and dry. Fortunately, bulgogi - even when cooked thoroughly - is still juicy and tender. Problem solved! The burger was great: juicy and filled with flavor. The Garlic Fries also being amazing was frosting on the cake!

PROS: meats are grilled to order (you can see and smell it cooking on the grill behind the bar), food comes out quickly, homemade hot sauce, friendly. It's not the best Korean BBQ but stands out as one of the only Korean options in MP CONS: quite pricey (the #19 Korean BBQ Plate was $21 after tax), meat could use more sauce, limited store hours ****** Menlo BBQ is a casual joint that serves up a mix of Korean and American BBQ options. The food is decent but they have very strange hours. I'm assuming that the majority of their business must come from catering because they are only open from 11am-7pm on Monday through Friday, 11am-3pm on Saturday, and closed Sunday. My boyfriend and I shared the #19 Korean BBQ Plate with galbi, bulgogi, and spicy pork. This was just enough for the two of us since we were not starving. The Galbi and Bulgogi were tasty but could have used more of the marinade. In contrast, the spicy pork was just ok and a bit dry. Try their homemade hot sauce--it's on the vinegary side but absolutely delicious with the meats. The restaurant is very informal-- you place your order and they put it on the bar when it is ready. If you're getting take-out you can call ahead so its ready when you arrive. Seating is a bit cramped inside but there are plenty of plastic chairs and tables outdoors. The lot has plenty of parking spaces (probably more spaces than the actual seating capacity of the restaurant). There are two entrances, one on Willow Rd and Coleman Ave.

For a quick meal, the selection on the menu is impressive. The service and quality of the food were above average.

Woooaaahhh what a treat! Menlo BBQ is a local gem for spicy pork or bi bim bap. It's a really popular lunch spot and especially nice for outdoor seating in the summer. When we aren't dining in, my co-workers order it from there at least once a week. One neat thing about the bi bim bap is that they use seasonal fare e.g. butternut squash in the fall. The spicy pork plate comes with kimchee but the bi bim bap doesn't - my only regret.

This was a pretty good place. Though when I went they were all out of any type of American BBQ but the Korean BBQ was what I was there for and it was quite tasty. It's a very small place and so they don't have a lot of seating and the parking lot is also pretty tiny.

I think for takeout it's a very good value. The food is tasty and a pretty good variety.

Great food but hard to pin down the hours they are open seems to always be changing on Google and at the business I constantly show up to realize they are actually closed even though Google said they were open.

Good food (Short ribs and beef plate), but not good value because they are pricey for what it is. But, with the current real estate market, that might be necessary for this 'family owned joint'. So, if you can afford it, support local. Additionally, the lady who took our order was not friendly. She wasn't unfriendly, but she wasn't friendly either as we were the only people in there at the time, so it felt a bit weird.

Got the Korean BBQ dish. The marinade was fantastic, but portion was pretty skimpy on the meat. Way too much rice, not enough meat and veggies for me. Owners were nice, but I don't think I would come back.

Never judge a book by its cover. This dive joint offers wonderful bbq and friendly owners that gives unsolicited advice on life. I ordered the bibimbop and it was delicious. My colleagues got the lunch box with 2 meat choices and both received large portions. The portions are large enough to fill me for 2 meals. There's seating both indoors and outdoors. Order and pay at the counter and the food will be brought to you shortly. Water available by the front counter in large pitchers. This is a no-frill shop, but definitely worth visiting!

pretty bad korean. the meat is average at best. the burgers are also below standard. there are few other lunch places within a few blocks, but you are better off with a burrito at la rancho or a plate from mardini's.

I wish I could give it no stars but I wouldn't be able to rate it if I did! Terrible service! There was hair in my food, and instead of making me a new plate the lady there argued with me because there was hair in my food! Like it was my fault they dont wear hairnets! Terrible customer service, guy there was very judgemental and racist! barely got my refund for the junk food i didnt even get to taste because the hair that was in there, she eve asked for the ketchup packets back for the to go order she put in the bag!. Very dirty inside needs a heath inspection asap! Going to be calling the Better Business Bureau for sure! DONT EAT HERE!!!!

I don't ever want this place again. I just ate here and got a simple burger and fries. I wish i could tAke a picture. It is the most disgusting food I've ever had. My cup takes like its been sitting or had soap or some type of toxic in it. My fries were ok but the burger. Omg! Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Even thr bacon on it was nasty. I advice you to not go here. I know i never will again. Yuck!!!
