Recensioni di Mitr Thai Broadway
It was our first time at Mitr after a recommendation from a friend. The entire experience was great and the food was fresh and amazing! Our group was mostly vegetarian and our server had the knowledge of what can be without the fish sauce, chicken broth, eggs or any substitutes and that helped with the overall experience. We ordered, Roti Massaman, Mango Avocado Salad, Pak Mor Puk, Phuket Pineapple Fried Rice, Green Curry, Basil Fried Rice and Massaman Curry. Among all these, Roti Massaman, Green Curry and Basil Fried Rice were my absolute favorites!
Mitr Thai is easily one of the best Thai spots in the city. The restaurant has a modern, stylish vibe while still feeling warm and welcoming — perfect for both casual dinners and date nights. The food was outstanding. Every dish was packed with authentic flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The spice level was well-balanced and customizable, which I really appreciated. Service was friendly and efficient even during busy hours.
Our server Gina was meticulous and fantastic! I live great service with an excellent meal. The meal was fresh and delicious and service was quick. Highly recommended! Had the crispy pork and noodles and the shrimp fried rice. Add on steamed dumplings! Also green tea for two!
This meal was an absolute delight from start to finish. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic Thai flavors. To make the experience even better, our server Gina was absolutely wonderful — friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from the moment we sat down. Her warm service truly elevated the entire dining experience.
This was our first time and will not be our last! I already can’t wait to come back. Winner was our waiter and was PHENOMENAL. Recommendations were spot on, I can’t believe how good everything was. They had us try dishes we wouldn’t have considered and I am so happy we listened! All the sauces were phenomenal, and the short rib was so tender I could pull it apart with a spoon. The fish, and the sauce? So savory, so aromatic. Amazing. 100/10
The food was outstanding. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of authentic Thai flavors — vibrant, balanced, and incredibly satisfying. You can truly taste the quality and care in each bite. A special thank you to our server, Cream L. She made the night even more memorable. Cream was attentive, warm, and genuinely thoughtful throughout the entire evening. Her recommendations were spot on.
Food was absolutely amazing, perfectly seasoned!! The service was unbelievable as well! Emmy was beyond patient and kind she made my birthday a truly special night. She also has some great recommendations from the menu!! Will be recommending to my friends for sure.
Today was my first time at Mitr Thai and I enjoyed the food so much. My server Pawi recommended some of their popular dishes and we ordered the larb khor moo for a starter and it was one of my favorite dishes. We also got the kao soy kua neur, in which the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the Khao pad nam prik kak moo, which had the perfect amount of crunch. I also ordered a mocktail called Counterpunch which was delicious. 10/10 food and dining experience and will definitely be back!
The food here is fantastic across the board. The Tom Yum Goong had a serious kick and was packed with flavor, and the crispy duck salad with rice was also very awesome—perfectly crunchy and zesty. Generally, everything was delicious. Highly recommend!
Can’t say enough about how good the food was. So flavorful and authentic! No complaints about the food!! Pictured: Green Curry (very hot even for someone who can eat hot food), Basil Fried Rice, Massaman Curry. Only complaint was the drink - the Bittersweet Treat. It tasted straight up like alcohol and was probably one of the worst cocktails we have tried. They look great but taste like surgical instrument cleaner. The place is buzzing and we highly recommend a reservation! Great service and kind staff!
A Solid Pick Near Times Square. If you’re looking for a reliable spot that actually delivers, Mitr Thai is worth bookmarking. We came as a group of 8 and pretty much worked our way through the menu — appetizers and all — so I feel confident saying the kitchen holds up across the board. Standouts were the scallops and spring rolls, both of which disappeared fast. The service matched the energy of the city: attentive, efficient, and moving with purpose without ever making you feel rushed. The dining room was packed on our visit — expect some noise — but the volume never got in the way of good conversation, which is saying something for a busy night near the Theater District. We had a reservation and were seated promptly even when one of our members was late, which I always appreciate. Whether you’re planning a family dinner or a casual meal with colleagues, Mitr Thai checks the right boxes. I’d come back; no doubt.
Our waiter alex was amazing. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and was very quick with out requests. It was pur first time there but he made it a great and better experience. Food was great quality but nothing out of this world which makes me think it's a tad overpriced given that I got. Again, the quality was amazing but flavors were signature but lacking that x factor thag makes me think it's amazing
Happy campers trying out this excellent and authentic Thai restaurant. Off the bone savory short ribs, fresh and sweet scallops, light and delicious, perfectly spiced Branzino, and a perfectly thick Massaman with an exceptional ratio of coconut to peanut flavor. Our waitress, Nice, was very helpful with recommendations. My coworkers loved the cocktail menu as well. 10/10 would come again.
I highly recommend Mitr Thai Restaurant, but be sure to get a reservation. The place is beautifully decorated, and the amazing food truly justifies the high ratings. The curry puffs melted in our mouths, while the roti massaman and chicken pad see-ew were both incredible. The green curry and fried rice were also good, though the khao soi gai was just okay.
I started with the Tom Yum Gong hot pot, then went to main dishes: short rib prik Kang, Ped Pa Loh(half duck/boneless), Thai iced tea, then the dessert a sweet red bean in vanilla ice cream. A bit of a wait if you don’t reserve, so reserving is highly recommended! All the drinks were great, our server was Bee, she was awesome! Would highly recommend for a night out or a date.
We tried Mitr Thai for the first time and we were incredibly delighted! The initial entrance was a bit rocky, because the vestibule was crowded and i felt overwhelmed. This was short-lived, however since Dia seated everyone promptly. The general mood of the place was warm. The server, Pooky, was very knowledgeable and professional. Our food was served hot and it was delicious, I mean every bite was full of flavor. The appetizers were small, but the entrees made up. The music playlist was like a serenade, we enjoyed every selection, it was right up our alley. We plan to go back.
I was skeptical when I saw the 4.9-star rating, but I quickly realized I was wrong the moment I stepped inside. The decoration is beautiful, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is incredibly polite and fast. The food was amazing — truly a work of art. We ordered beef, fish, and duck, and all three dishes were absolutely outstanding. Every bite was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Our waiter, Brook, was fantastic — very attentive, polite, and always made sure we had everything we needed. The service really elevated the whole experience. I can’t recommend this place enough. I would definitely drive all the way from Westchester again just to eat here. Hands down one of the best Thai food experiences I’ve had!
Pleasantly surprised by all the Thai dishes that were new to me. Opened my eyes to more parts of Thai cuisine. The tom kha gai hot pot had the sweet and creamy consistency of coconut but also a mild kick of tanginess that seemed to be a nice complement. The ped pa loh (braised deboned duck) was criminally delicious! Of course I had no clue how authentic these dishes were, but I guess it’s less important to me because they were delicious. This was Christmas Day, with many restaurants not open, that might explain the huge crowd here for lunch. The space was warm and welcoming, and staff was very friendly and effective and efficient despite all the chaos, which was kind of impressive. 5 ⭐️ across the board for me.
I have been to many other Thai restaurants but I always come back to this restaurant. Food never disappointed: not too salty, each dish carries that authentic Thai flavor that makes me feel like I’m actually dining in that country. The unique taste and rich aroma really stand out, and our server Emmy made the experience even better attentive, thoughtful, and always a step ahead of what we needed. We left fully satisfied and grateful for such a wonderful meal.
I was sat at the bar counter and served by Kan. He did an amazing job engaging with customers at the bar despite being busy on Christmas night. Made recommendations and helped me eat the authentic way The food was really good and fresh. I got the Tod Min goons which is deep fried shrimp pancakes with sweet and sour sauce and they were so good but the star of the night was the spicy crab curry with salad and rice noodles. The drinks were delicious too. I got the lychee cocktail for appetizer which was light and refreshing and the pandas drink for dinner which was creamy and good. Overall such a good experience. I would definitely come back and recommend this place highly.
The service here is absolutely worth the tip—excellent all around. We asked for chopsticks and they were provided immediately, and the server consistently cleared the table throughout our meal. Of course, the food itself was also very good. My favorite dessert was the black sticky rice ice cream, which I highly recommend trying. One last note: I think the Level 2 spiciness is already quite hot, but the servers will warn you about that as well.
We chose Mitr Thai to kick start our foodie trip in NYC, and it totally worths it. We had a reservation so there was no wait. The menu is HUGE! We chose 2x cocktails and 3x dishes, all came out deliciously delicious. The waiters & waitresses were very helpful when they helped us walk through the menu, as well as recommended us what the best dishes were for that day. We chose Somtum salad, Pad Thai and Short Rib curry for the foods; Tamarind & Pandan for the cocktails. The somtum is great, it's sour and the fish sauce is delightful. The pad thai has the distinct wok flavor that we love, and the pork is not seasoned, so it goes pretty well with pad thai. The short rib is melting in my mouth and the curry sauce is so addicting with rice. I'm so glad that our experience there was good!
Had the best time in NYC over the Christmas holidays! While looking for a cozy spot with delicious food, we unexpectedly found this hidden gem. Even though we had to wait for over an hour, it was totally worth it. The tom kah soup was delicious and incredibly satisfying. The cocktails were perfectly balanced and superb. This spot has become my top choice while exploring midtown and Times Square. A fantastic option for a post-broadway show dinner— don't forget to make a reservation!
We came for dinner to celebrate my wife’s birthday. And our server, Popeye, was so good in explaining us with different menu items especially with our vegetarian diet requirements. Her recommendations were great. And to top if up, the birthday desert Pang cha was very tasty and well decorated. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will love to return again.
If you’re looking for real, authentic Thai cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit. The dishes were superbly delicious, full of rich flavors and perfectly balanced spices that truly capture the essence of Thailand. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and quick without feeling rushed. The ambiance was also very pleasant, offering a comfortable and inviting atmosphere that made the whole dining experience even better. Overall, a fantastic spot for anyone craving genuine Thai food. Highly recommended!
It's such a wonderful restaurant! The food are super nice! Delicious and special😋I really recommend Short Rib Prik Kang, Krapraw Moo Sub OverRice and Lobster Gaeng Karee ( in the special menu weekly). Nikki gave us a pretty good service! He's so nice. And the atmosphere is so fancy and cultural! I will come back next time!
I came here for dinner with my brother because it was nearby and the reviews looked good online. We arrived a little after opening time 5PM and there was already a decent amount of diners inside. However we were still able to get a table with no reservation or wait. They just told us we had an hour and half, which was fine with us. I think our server is new, however she was great, explained the menu, gave some recommendations, and provided great service overall. My brother and I ordered two starters and 2 mains(one for each of us). For the starters we got the chicken skewers and fried roti. We shared those and they were both delicious. The chicken skewers were juicy and tender and the sauce that came with it really enhanced the flavor. The fried roti was also good, we really liked the curry that came with it and even kept it on the table when we finished the roti. For the main course my brother got the beef egg noodle dish and I got the pork bell fried rice dish. The beef in the egg noodle dish is really tender! Almost reminds me of the beef in Taiwaneese beef noodle soup. And the pork belly rice dish I got was really good as well. I even added some of the curry from the roti in it.
The dishes we tried were great, and they covered a number of different Thai regions. Fast and kind service, and the waitress was ready with all the top recommendations and suggestions. The area is decently spacious inside (and very warm in the winter). If I come again, I look forward to trying some more of their staple dishes, as we ordered some of their seasonal specials this time. Nothing was too spicy, but we also said to give us medium heat at most. I can't resist anything with pork jowl I almost always get a Roti Massaman to start.
Just a block away from Time Square! Love how convenient it is located. So glad we made the reservation in advance. Nice atmosphere and the hosts were welcoming. Our table was ready when we got there. (They would only bring you to the table if everyone in your party had arrived). When we sat down, we were told that we have 1.5 hour dining time, a little pressure to decide what to order from the extensive menu, especially when there are no pictures next to the dishes names! Our server was helpful when recommending the dishes and he asked us multiple times if anyone has food allergies. We appreciated that! With the dining time limit, we decided to order a few simple traditional dishes like Pad Thai and Pineapple fried rice. The mango salad was quite tasty though the avocado on the top had brown patches. The sautéed prawns and squid was delicious, definitely everyone’s favorite. Would love to try their curry beef next time!
I’ve been to Mitr Thai three times, and unfortunately each visit has felt worse than the last. The food itself is good, but the service really overshadows the experience. On my most recent visit (my 4th time trying to give this place a chance), my boyfriend arrived earlier and put our names down since we didn’t have a reservation. We already waited about 20 minutes, and when it was supposedly our turn, we were told to wait another 30 minutes. At that point, we decided to leave. I understand that when a restaurant is busy, servers may need to be a bit rushed—that’s totally fine. But being chased to finish our meal so they can turn the table is too much. We couldn’t even enjoy our food. It’s also frustrating because we weren’t eating slowly; the food itself took a long time to come out. With so many Thai restaurants in the city that serve great food and treat their customers well, I’m honestly not sure if I’ll be coming back, even though the food is good. Service matters, and this place really needs improvement in that area.

What people say about Mitr Thai
Broadway's Mitr Thai: A Taste of Thai Perfection
I admit, I can be a bit of a skeptic when a place boasts near-perfect ratings, but Mitr Thai on Broadway quickly disabused me of any doubt. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a warm, welcoming embrace, with beautiful decor that sets a lovely mood. Even if the entryway gets a little bustling, the staff, like Dia, are incredibly swift at getting everyone settled, ensuring the good vibes start immediately.
