I miss my old go to Chinese restaurant. I moved out of Astoria during the pandemic to the west side of Manhattan. You’d think they’d have good Chinese out here. After trying nearly a dozen places there are none that compare to the Chicken & Broccoli, egg rolls or General Tso’s that Sunrise had. I’m appalled I can’t get good Chinese here. I had to circle back and at least let others know what a great spot they have in Astoria and not to let it be taken for granted like I did. I miss you Sunrise. I miss calling you and you immediately saying “Chicken Broccoli Mountain Dew” and after a quick confirm from me (sometimes small changes) it showing up at my door 10-15minutes later. Maybe after reading this I can pay all you did for me forward and some lucky soul will have read this and discovered that the sun truly does rise when it comes to good Chinese food in Astoria…at Sunrise.

I have been ordering from Sunrise Rest for almost 20yrs. Not once have I ever had an upset stomach or any type of allergic reaction to their food. ***** I can describe the wonderful young woman's voice who takes my order & she is very thoughtful & always remembers just how I want my food. They are clean, super delicious, food is perfection. It's outstanding & tastes just perfect without adding anything else to it. I call & always say only 2pcs of duck sauce for our shrimp rolls & they're loaded with delicious shrimp's. It's an awesome Restaurant.

Probably the best "fast food" Chinese spot around the area. The fried chicken isn't overcooked. Portions are larger than other spots. They also gave me a free soda with an order over $20 without me asking for it. I'm making this a staple the next time I'm in the mood for Chinese.

Me and my homie tried this spot for the first time. Our meal was delicious, and we plan to come back here again.

Best wings with pork fried rice we ever have!

I love these guys, ate here all my life. They have great fried chicken too, don't sleep on those. So why is the general tso always soggy now? Bring back the crunch! Everything else is pretty great

Have gotten delivery because it is super fast, inexpensive, and decent. Some dishes are great--I really like the Szechuan bean curd (pictured below), the pan-fried dumplings, and the eggplant in garlic sauce. The egg foo young and broccoli in garlic sauce are fine; both the sesame tofu and the sesame chicken are a soggy mess. I've gotten the Kung Pao Chicken twice. The first time it was super fresh tasting and great; the second time it tasted like rancid oil. Still, because of the price and the quick delivery times, I give this place like a 3.5,

The food is great and the staff is generally nice But one specific visit left a bad taste in my mouth. Accused me of theft and brought me back to the kitchen to watch thru security footage. I wasted almost an hour of my life just for 4 spring rolls. Not only embarrassing for me but so much more embarrassing for your business. Do better and keep a record of transactions. Literally it's that simple.

Mmmhhh, it’s hard to screw up basic Chinese staples like fried rice, scallion pancakes and fried dumplings…..but they managed to! Very fast delivery, but the food was really poorly made: flavorless soup with overcooked noodles, doughy bland and soggy pancakes, break your mouth hard dumplings, etc…

Low life place I don't think much of it guy yells at tou hey boss good location bad food practically a Spanish place all customers seem to order chicken here felt like I was in he'll afraid to even ask for chopsticks I usually eat w chopsticks customers stand in front in way not a great source for vegetarian the broccoli is definitely 😉 from the death rack yet they still ask top dollar foe their grub tasted like they were afraid to use oil or any seasoning not sure if they placed it in an oil pan it was edible but not delicious treated us like garbage on Thanksgiving they let 10 customers go ahead of us meaning these people came after us and were all eating st the table or left whilst we kept waiting foe 33 minutes a local church seen me standing there for an hour waiting formy food and offered me a free Thanksgiving church dinner they thought we we ho.elss cuz we never got served then was charged $33 for 2 broccoli ans rice dished with egg roll and a soda each no joke

Egg Foo young from that place is bad, that picture was the replacement after i complain. Gave them a second chance and send me this. I will Never order from that place again.

Ugh. No!! Not great. The pan fried wontons are a disgusting gloopy rancid oily mess. Boneless ribs are rubbery and hard. Rice taste like plastic. Seriously all the Chinese places in astoria are so equally bad. What’s going on?

Random lady that I’ve never seen work this establishment before was there tonight.. Starts yelling in my face what do I want when I get there, I had called for pickup... Then she tries to overcharge me like $4, and I was just going to roll my eyes but then she starts screaming in my face again asking if I want sauce... I walked out. I did enjoy this place but you just lost a good customer. Never again.

It was delivery. $42.60 The food was ok nothing special about it. They didn't include napkins or folks or spoons. How can you forget to include something as basic as that for a delivery??? I also ask for hot sauce,none came with it. Just mustard. Never again. Avoid this place like the plague it is!!!
