Very Authentic Cantonese “Yum Char”, which mean drink tea. And also Dim Sum for paring with tea. Great deal and always full of customer.

Recently had an amazing meal at East Harbor Seafood Palace! The dim sum was fresh and flavorful—especially the shrimp dumplings and siu mai. Service was quick even though the place was packed, and the food came out hot and fast. Great variety, huge portions, and a lively atmosphere. Definitely one of the best spots in Brooklyn for authentic Cantonese cuisine. Can’t wait to come back with a bigger group to try more dishes!

Great tasting food, top notch service. Private valet parking lot, but crowded. Best dim sum in Brooklyn.

Been here many times. The great dim sum always makes up for the chaos of trying to get a table. This time we were just a party of two so they sat us with another twosome. Ended up being excellent as always.

Very friendly and professional service. Food was well seasoned and fresh. Great dim sum but come here for the Peking duck. Outstanding. Order a whole one even if alone. Soooo good!

This is the definition of fast food. Quick service. You get seated within 10min even on a crowded Saturday morning. You don't feel hurried though. Every dish I had was so good!

Black sesame balls - amazingly good. Crispy on the outside, chewy black sesame goodness on the inside. Egg tarts - pastry is buttery light. Bite-sized goodness. One of the better tarts around. Turnip cake - flavor is on point. Crispy parts are crispy enough. Cake texture is soft enough. Braised chicken feet - very good. Not too sweet. Taste is just right. Pork and century egg porridge - one of the best I’ve had so far. Suitably thick and does not have a “porky” taste which is common at other restaurants. Siew mai - decent. Liked the large size. Har gow - decent. Dough is quite thick, but soft enough. Prawn filling is thick and succulent. Rice roll with prawns - prawns are juicy. While the rolls are thick like other restaurants (ie can be thinner), it’s still quite soft and pillowy. Steamed pork spare ribs - very tender and not too oily. Fresh tasting. One of the standout dishes. Chrysanthemum tea - lovely. Price - affordable compared to Manhattan or even Flushing. Parking - decent. Queue - insane. There was still a line after 2pm on a weekend. Service - typical Chinese restaurant. Ambience - typical dim sum restaurant with elderly Chinese pushing carts and peddling the dishes.

You can never go wrong with dum sim here. Best place in Brooklny, IMO. Get here early on weekends! They open at 9am and is packed by 10 usually.

One of my favorite places to grab dim sum. You don’t need to go to Chinatown in Manhattan to get your fix. Staff is super friendly. Service is great too. Food is always fresh and you can’t go wrong. We got the lotus leaf rice wraps, shrimp dumplings, shrimp rice rolls, tofu skin rolls and the chive and shrimp dumplings. It was all so good. Be sure to bring cash as they’re cash only. Expect about a half hour wait during peak times.

I’m an ABC and this is my neighborhood. Out of all the spots you can have traditional chinese canto style Dimsum. This is the best. Definitely me top 2 in Sunset Park. Make sure to enjoy Dimsum the traditional way. Take your time and sip on tea “Yum Cha” enjoy the food slowly while it’s hot and enjoy your family and or friends company. If you have any questions. You can reach me through my web . Geemoonnyc.com

One of the best dim sum place I've eaten in Brooklyn. Crowded on weekends. Go there early. Cash is best. They charge small percentage for credit cards.

Excellent food. If you like dim sum you should try their dishes.

My favorite dim sum spot in 8th Avenue Brooklyn. Get ready for a super long wait if you don't get here super early, it's a very popular spot. All the shrimp dishes here are amazing and super fresh. The fried dough cherng fun is in very high demand and hard to get. The chicken feet is a bit lacking sadly.

J

Good dim sum; close to Hong Kong standard. Comfortable and clean surroundings with good service. They also offer free valet parking which is great since we had a rental car. I definitely recommend this restaurant. And I really like it when they all speak Cantonese!

It is the best dim sum that we have got in USA so far. We were so happy to find it during our brief stay in Brooklyn.

S

Best dim sum in NYC hands down. Family place. Get here early on weekends (before 10) otherwise big line, though you get seats either way. They do the best Chinese broccoli in garlic sauce and try the clams in stew and chicken feet, trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

N

Traditional dim sum served by a friendly staff with great service. There is a valet garage available since parking is difficult in the area. Dishes were fresh and delicious. The bill for two of us came out to $40. Highly recommended.

Best for the last 10yrs+!! Staff is extremely courteous and the food is Consistently excellent!! No BS. Straight up place when you see repeat clients. We've held over 20+ banquets here for a reason. Our safe place for a full and happy belly~

We visited New York for a week and we already been there for 4 times!!!! I absolutely love their high quality dim sum, the taste is always stable and delicious =) excellent customer services, remember to go on weekend, they have more special selection. I definitely will go back next time!!

I've been told that dimsum in Flushing is the best but I'm not too sure given how amazing East Harbor Seafood Palace is. Everything is fresh and hot and delectable. Customer service is on point with attentive wait staff and polite ladies who push the carts. Also, not sure about you guys, but I've found it difficult to find good egg tarts in the city. East Harbor has never failed me! Their egg tarts are always fresh out of the oven and warm to the touch. They're not that crazy shade of food-colored yellow you see at some bakeries. In short, I do recommend this and will be returning.

G

The best Dim Sum from Brooklyn. A variety of dishes all served directly to your table. Been two times already in a week and everytime I go here a fill satisfied. Quick service and the tea is wonderful also. Nice place to go with family or friends.

Went to this restaurant for dinner for the first time. Both food and service were excellent there. Love their King Crabs with 3 dishes (steamed with garlic on noodles, fried with Hong Kong style, and fried rice. And they changed our plates for 3 or 4 times (I lost count). Even desserts came with bunds and red beans soup.

X

HaGao SiewMai were absolutely awesome. Best I've tried - soft tender and piping hot when served on the table. Succulent meat is ever so inviting. Fried rice was also something not to be missed during the visit - plump golden raisins went so well with the salted fish and dried scallop toppings. YUMMYMAX indeed!

Excellent! First time coming here and I will come back again. This is real Chinese food. Came here for dim sum, and they have a huge variety of rolls, and dumplings. Flavors were ridiculous. The place is really clean and the inside it's nicely decorated. Their prices are very competitive. Portions were great and the service was amazing.

Always have a great time here. Worth the long train ride! Can’t compare to the dim sum places in the city. Each dimsum is packed with umami and you’ll be surprised with the variety of dimsum this restaurant prepares!! Recommend the chicken feet, taro filled crispy balls, pork knuckles, bacon wrapped shrimp balls, and black sesame balls.

Probably the best dim sum place around 8 ave. Service is very good, but the wait builds quickly. They have parking, but it's valet. I don't have issues with the food I usually order.

We're huge dim sum fans, often indulging to the point of gluttony 🥸 During their peak service hours at this authentic Cantonese banquet hall could mean cozying up with another party at a shared table if you're a duo/trio. Of course you will be asked first to share 😉 The cart ladies provide impeccable service. If they run out of your desired dish, fear not—they'll return with a fresh batch, checking if you're still interested.🥢🦐 We try to get there when they open or near the end of their dim sum service to avoid the 30+ min wait times 😉 Of course we cannot leave without discussing how reasonably priced the dim sum was. Just under $60 for 12 plates for 4 people! 😋

L

One of the best Dim Sum restaurant in Brooklyn. Good food at a great price. This place gets busy on the weekend and there is usually a wait unless you go early in the morning.

J

Best dim sum in Brooklyn hands down!! High quality, good value, very cheap prices, and no crazy wait times to get in! This place is hands down my favourite in Brooklyn / NY area. Clean restaurant and very attentive / fast and friendly staff that always replenished water and changes our plates. Being from Vancouver where dim sum was really good, I’ve been trying to find a great spot here in New York and this place exceeded my expectations on many levels! I tried a place in Flushing that was good, but the commute is super far! The few dim sum places in Manhattan are mediocre at best, but this place wins on value and quality for me! Overall, great spot will definitely be a regular here.

J

Best place to eat dim sum in Brooklyn in my opinion. Been to the"other" locations in the city and we choose this place as being better than the rest becasue it's affordable, easy location, great quality and the rarity....staff are extremely friendly and attentive!! Although want to caution you on parking. Get there either as early as possible or a little later in the day otherwise you'll be circling around for a hour to find street parking. They do have a designated parking garage but that fills up super fast. The food here is beyond tasty! They have all the usual dimsum dishes and so much more! One very delicious dish is the seafood noodles 🍜 😋 👌

We have been coming for many years to this spot. The food is always incredible, the service is prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere is elegant. It’s suitable for a casual meal or a banquet. There are several private rooms available for parties, etc. Whether you come early to enjoy the cart style Dim Sum or later for a nice dinner, you won’t be disappointed. Our family’s favorite is the Shrimp and Walnut dish 🤤.

T
Thomas C. Jackson

This is an amazing Chinese restaurant. It is an old school banquet hall, design to accommodate large parties and family groups as they celebrate birthdays, promotions, and other important events. There's not much seating for parties smaller than six, so bring some friends who like really great Chinese seafood. We arrived too late to sample the dim sum, so will have to come back. But the shrimp with orange sauce (which our waiter advise us to get with mayonnaise sauce, which we did) was flat out amazing. The shrimp were delicious and the broccoli… Some of the best we have ever had. The steamed dumplings were the best we've had since returning from California. Someday soon we will arrive in time for lunch and feast on dim sum. If you want to join us, before warned that, at least on weekends, you can wait for an hour or two to get into the restaurant when they are serving dim sum.

D

This dim sum restaurant is quite possibly the most traditional Cantonese dim sum spot in New York City. Located in Brooklyn Chinatown, where there is a sizable Cantonese immigrant population, this establishment has a long history and preserves the authentic flavors of dim sum. They serve food through pushcarts, offering a variety of dishes not found in many other places, and their prices are cheaper compared to dim sum in Manhattan and Flushing. Additionally, they have a menu where you can order dim sum or stir-fried dishes not available on the carts. Patrons range from elderly to young, leisurely sipping tea and enjoying dim sum, and sometimes during peak dining hours, sharing tables might be necessary, but this communal atmosphere adds to the charm of the experience. Highly recommended for those who appreciate traditional dim sum.

Went for dim sum last sun and despite arriving around 945am there was already a line out the door! The wait was reasonable (but expect longer waits at later hours). The service was fantastic! Always attentive despite the full restaurant, changing our plates when they saw them getting too full or dirty, and changing our tea and refilling our water before I could even ask! The food too was excellent! More than enough carts roaming around. Will def be back to try more dim sum as well as try the regular menu items. Saw plates heading to larger families and it looked AND SMELLED amazing!

Big portion alert. This is another must try dimsum in brooklyn. They will do push cart in the morning and afternoon. We ordered shrimp mayonnaise and shumai. Shrimps are fresh and sweet. On top of that, i really appreciate their hospitality, great service compared to other Chinese restaurants in NY

Very authentic delicious Dim Sum and Cantonese style food. Crab fried rice and lobsters outstanding !! Service was very friendly and professional. A very enjoyable experience. Wish we had more people to try everything. I recommend bringing a crowd.

Best dimsum place I’ve tried. Even better than some places I love in LA. The service was exceptional, was not difficult to flag down a server and they were very nice. The only thing was I came here on a rainy Monday around 11:30am and it was packed. Had to share a table with a lady that would not stop starring at me. Followed by a nice lady. So if you are dining alone or party of 2 be prepared to share a table. It was also really really loud. I had headphones on and I could not hear the show I was trying to watch. But the food is top notch. The pork and beef ribs were amazing. The porridge was perfection. Only better place was in China. The yellow spongy cake thing was really good. Just the right amount of sweetness and fluffy. The taro thing was crispy. Shrimp and veggie dumpling was delicious. Will definitely go back but maybe a Tuesday or snow day in hopes of less people. I also want to bring my family here next time they visit.

This spot serves some of the best Cantonese dim sum in Brooklyn! The dishes are fresh, authentic, and full of flavor—from the har gow to the siu mai, everything is well-executed and arrives piping hot. The service is attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. Whether you're going for a weekend dim sum brunch or a casual weekday meal, it's a reliable and satisfying choice. Definitely a go-to for anyone craving traditional Cantonese dim sum done right.

Arrived at 10:55AM on a Sunday and got my party of four seated at 11:20AM. Super authentic Cantonese dimsum with the carts going around. The variety and portions are great! Shrimp dumplings, sticky rice, spring rolls, steamed rice rolls, pork buns, radish cake and tofu pudding just to name a few.

Every weekend around noon time, this place is packed with lines going out the door and countless people waiting outside. You have to get a card with an assigned number to be placed in the queue for seating. Wait time could be 30 min+. When you get seated, they will give you a punch card and ask you if you want tea, they have a few flavors to choose from, but I personally recommend the 普洱茶 (pu er tea). After you get the tea, you just wait for the dimsum carts to roll around. Each cart carries different items so keep an eye out for what you like or want to try. Every dish that I got was packed with flavor and was absolutely delicious, but I’d highly recommend getting the beef rib and the chicken feet! They also have a separate menu if you want to try other made-to-order dishes. So let the staff know if that peaks your curiosity. Once you choose your dimsum it goes straight from the cart to your table and they’ll place a stamp on your punch card to denote the cost category of what you just picked up. When you’ve finished eating, ask one of employees that’s wearing a vest to calculate the bill total and take that punch card to the table by the front entrance to pay your bill. Be sure to leave some tip at your dining table for the staff! Having said all of that, this is likely the most flavorful and delicious dimsum place I’ve ever been to!!! Happy Dimsuming.

East Harbor Seafood Palace helped us host a wedding banquet for about 70 guests, which was relatively small, in parallel with at least two other wedding banquets. We selected this restaurant for the great value, delicious food, and flexibility for various requests that were managed by Chris Wong (e.g. reception table, extra vegetarian dish tables, additional orders to accommodate dietary restrictions, bringing our own cake and decorations). Communication can be done in English, but will be greatly facilitated by a Cantonese/Chinese speaker in your party. The staff was very accommodating in getting dishes out in a timetable according to our wishes with consideration to guest tardiness and how quickly guests were eating. They were also very efficient with set up and clean up, often offering to help in tasks we thought we should be responsible for. There is lots of free street parking on Sat. night and there is also free valet parking (recommended to tip them). All guests were happily stuffed with food by the end of the night and gave compliments about how delicious the food was. We highly recommend East Harbor Seafood Palace for our friends and family for future wedding banquets.

My TOP 10 in Brooklyn. BYOB option… 🥇🥇 Definitely some of the best dim sum in the east coast. The phoenix claws & shrimp dumplings are mandatory! It’s always busy so you know the food is fresh. Avoid weekends unless you come early otherwise expect 30-45 minutes wait time. Limited Valet parking based on availability. Can park bicycle inside the garage. 👍👍 Elevate your dining experience. Go big & get the 8 lbs king crab 🦀 🦀 update: Another great evening with buddy for the 10 lbs crab (a 3 course meal in itself ). Complemented with an Austin Hope from Paso Robles, CA. $800 dinner tab for 2 is a first for me. Highly recommended 😉😉

We went on a Monday around 1PM and the place had enough patrons to be pleasantly lively but not overfull. Every dish we had was very good; it's well worth the drive out to Brooklyn (and there is a pretty good Chinese supermarket next door with parking to boot).

A good place to get fresh, home made dim sum. They never fail. If you ever good be prepared to wait in line, make sure you grab a number from the hostess first. They do not take reservations for dim sum/brunch.

The restaurant went through a renovation recently, so it has a more understated decor (no garish multi-colored lights). However, they still found the need to install huge, gaudy TVs which, I can only assume, is necessary for some formal functions and such. On the weekends, it is jam-packed with people eating or waiting for dim sum. The food is good, but standard. I didn't see any fancy or special dishes on the carts, but they do make the standards well. To avoid the crowds, arrive before 10am or after 1pm.

C
C C

They offer dim sum in the morning til around 2pm. They got plenty of option. Like chicken claws, shumai, shrimp dumpling, steam pork bun, custard bun, beef tripe, beef short ribs.....etc They have the dimsum cart running around the restaurant, what you need to do is order what you want when the cart stop by your table.

It was noisy due to loud music from a wedding. The food was good. The services were great. The free boiled peanut for appetizer was good.

Brand new renovation. Feel like more spacious. Nice huge screen on stage and some extra large TVs on walls. Food is still tasty as before. If you go for dimsum, you may need to arrive before 10am to avoid long waiting line.

We went for lunch on a Tuesday because we were in the neighborhood. The quality was surprisingly good and nothing was overly oily. Unfortunately, they ran out of rice porridge, which is something that really tells us about a Dim Sum Restaurant's ability to serve quality food. It didn't take long to get a seat, but the place was filled. I can only imagine what it is like on weekends. I would return to eat again, but you can get similar quality dim sum in Flushing and NYC Chinatown.

Wonderful Cantonese restaurant, open for indoor dining for dim sum! This place just reopened and the food is great and not too expensive. They now use disposable tableware. Place is wheelchair friendly and all on the first floor. They also offer pickup and take out. Update- no more disposable tableware! Also no more COVID vaccine checks though. Food is still great!

Was taking a walk on New Year’s Day and through the windows I saw one of my favorite dishes being served- ginger scallion lobster!! I walked in and was immediately seated by a very polite gentleman. I felt underdressed as the staff are dressed nice but no worries, it’s a very casual place just very nicely decorated. We ordered the fried rice and ginger scallion lobster. One lobster was 33 dollars, not too bad. Once we were done eating, they provided us with green tea and oranges. Delicious and the best way to start the new year ☺️

Went for dim sum towards the end of service and everything was cold, so didn’t leave the best impression with regards to dim sum. However, I’ve been going to this place for years for dinner, and love it. Try the Veal and the Peking Duck.

Came here a second time, it was standard Cantonese food nothing different. Maybe because there was a large party they had to cook for but the food was not as impressive as the first time. If in the neighborhood fine otherwise not worth driving too far. Service was attractive

I was told that this was one of the few good dim sum restaurants in Brooklyn and it shows. Arriving early, I already see a queue to be seated and a full house in the restaurant! Many of the customers, my party included, have to share the table with other an another party. If this is not to your liking, then you may need to find another place, come in a very large party, or ask and wait for a table for just your party. The food is what you typically see in other dim sum places. I admit, there were several dishes that I have yet to see such as abalone on top of the steamed beef balls (ngao yuk). It was delicious, the abalone was flavorful and not too chewy, while the beef ball was perfectly steamed with a hint of seafood from the abalone. I do wish that they had a bit more variety though. It could be that they were busy and the aunties stuck with the popular dishes, but I do wish they went around with some uncommon ones too.

Excellent Cantonese - the real authentic experience. Push cart dim sum. Huge selection, very tasty food. A few items - like the taro and the har gao dim sum weren’t as hot as expected. And the soup dumpling had far too much dough. But - overall, delicious and quick. Just be ready to wait in term for your table. Place is very popular and packed on weekends.

I’ve been here a few times on both weekends and weekdays. Weekends are great if you want the classic dim sum cart experience but are busier with wait times and more crowding. Weekdays are better if you’re looking for a casual dinner. The dim sum, fresh seafood, and crab fried rice are all delicious and I will come back for them. Steak based dishes have been hit or miss for me. Definitely recommend coming here for the experience.

Went on Sat at 9:20 am and got the last open table in the main area available. Good dim sum (steamed rice with chicken feet and spare rib) gone fast. The BBQ pork bun topping was not the best this round but the flaky BBQ is exceptional. Better get there if you don’t wanted to wait for dim sum.

Solid Dim Sum! I'm not the only one with that opinion as it's usually crowded. The wait times can vary but it's not too overwhelming. Usually up to 20 minutes. Food: 4.5/5 Good variety of classic dim sum dishes. You can also order off the menu for larger, shareable items like fried rice. I'm a fan of the steamed riblets, Phoenix claws and noodle dishes. Service: 4/5 Pretty good. The stuff isn't pushy with the offerings on the carts

Came here before and it was very good. Today’s visit was on New Year’s Day so it was super chaotic. We waited about 30-40 mins for a table for 8. The carts moved quickly and we were able to get what we wanted almost immediately. There were a few items we had to wait for. Today they didn’t have turnip cake. Some waiters were very helpful and scouted the dimsum items we wanted and ordered additional items. Others were typical and brushed us off. Any ordered food takes very long. They also have Hong Kong milk tea. Service is in Cantonese. Didn’t notice if they were super quick to help in English.

Pretty good dim sum, bookmarked this place for a while since my friend recommended it. A little bit far to get to in brooklyn's chinatown. Expect to wait before you get seats. I didn't see that many carts that went around, might be because we got there a little closer to 12:30pm, busy even on a weekday during lunch. You might want to ask them for the menu to bring the food out if the carts don't come by. I think the food is flavorful, but the service was a little bit questionable since we were waiting for the carts to come by for a while and it didn't feel like there was a lot of variety. There were definitely more items on the menu that they didn't bring out. Overall, I think it's good place to try once, I'm not sure if I would be back again.

It serves really authentic and traditional push cart style dim sum at all hours. Do expect a queue on weekend. You will also find extra ordinary and non typical dim sum dishes that please your appetite such as beef offal and pepper beef ribs.

Visited a handful of times before. Today (Wednesday) I went around 11am and it was pretty packed. Wait time was around 10-15 minutes. When you enter, be sure to tell the staff member in front how many is in your party for the table and he will give you a card with a number on it. As tables start to clear, he will yell out the numbers, based on availability. You want to be attentive here as if you don’t acknowledge your number being called, it will be skipped and he will quickly move on to the next numbers for people to be seated. During my 10 minute wait, I saw people who were there before me, that didn’t get a card with a number on it, and they just stood around. After they saw what everyone else was doing, they finally got a number so they could be called for a table. Also fyi, if you come when they open at 9am, there will already be a decent sized crowd waiting outside. Lines do not exist here though. When the doors open, imagine a Black Friday sale, but for seats. Families and individuals will run for the table they want to occupy during their meal. It’s a bit of rush! After that initial opening, about 60% of the restaurant will be filled. Then around 30 minutes later, the entire place will be packed and the above mentioned waiting for your number to be called will start. The dimsum here was decent! My review says 4 stars but I really mean 4.5 stars. Too bad half stars don’t yet exist on Yelp. They really should make that an option. Anyway, the dimsum here is very authentic, flavorful, and great portions! I brought my dad here and he says it’s also pretty decent - fyi, he cooks for a living. We also loved it so much that at the end of our meal, we ordered take out of dimsum to take back to the rest of my family. The restaurant is filled with locals, a few tourists, but mostly Cantonese families with small children, elderly people, and young get-togethers. You can sort of hear people talking in other tables, but that’s to be expected in any dimsum place with locals. It’s moderate volume but still on the quieter side for how busy it gets and in comparison to other dimsum restaurants. Staff here are friendly and attentive. Also super efficient. They bring everything you ask for within a minute- in my experience today. I asked for chili oil and water. Also plenty of refills for tea (for the tea, proper etiquette to ask for more refills is to lift the lid slightly and let it rest on top, so it stays open and they know to come get it). Also… absolutely love the hot sauce/chili oil here!!! So good we asked for 3 and I used 2.5 of them. My dad who doesn’t even like spicy much, used half of one. I put chili oil on most dim sum dishes to really elevate the already-decent flavors! Would still come back again!

The food is very good but depending where you seat not all cart pass by your table. The same two cart kept passing by our table. If you want something else then you have to, practically, hunt them down to get other dishes.

Amazing dim sum place! Very clean and large restaurant and best of all... the servers speak English!! Food is great, but I've had better. Service could be more attentive (I was looking around for 5 mins to ask for water). Definitely recommend!

Nightmarish wait. We were told it would be 30 minutes and it was an hour. Had we known it would have been that long we would have gone elsewhere. The crowding was horrendous! Frightening. My mother was smacked in the head while we were eating when they were moving a table. No food is worth this. Ever!

Girlfriend's relatives came in from out of town, which led us to this place (the 4th family-style Chinese restaurant I've tried and the first in Brooklyn). I found the quality of the food superior to the other three restaurants, especially (no surprise) the seafood, of which our party got a great deal larger quantity vs. the other dishes. The lobster was especially meaty and less greasy than I'm used to. Cons: I wasn't the only person at our table who noticed that there were big gaps between dishes. It took an abnormally-long time for us to even get our soup. The place was maybe half-full. Also, they gave us two bottles of soda that, for some reason, the servers took away at one point; even though we'd been drinking from them. Finally, for the entirety of our dinner, they were playing some weird Chinese state propaganda channel on the TVs. Didn't effect the quality of the dinner obviously, we just found it...unsettling. Summary: Above-average seafood, but long wait times between dishes.

Averaged at best compared to other dim sum places I’ve had around the US. We’re just passing through NY and wanted to try dim sum here. Price was reasonable though. We went on Thursday around 11 and saw mostly elderly Chinese folks.

We came to East Harbor on Sunday afternoon at 2:30. To be fair, 2:30 is lateish for sumdim. We were a party of 7 in total. They come around with the carts and by 2:30 most of the stuff is gone :/. We got two orders of chinese broccoli, two shrimp and chive dumplings, roast pork buns, two fried cruller rice rolls, vegetarian spring roll rice rolls, two shumai, four beers, two golden lava buns, the cute pig buns. My chief complaint is that the dishes in the menu were not clearly labeled as vegan or vegetarian options. It would say ‘Chive Dumpling’ but when asked it had shrimp inside. The taro dumplings also had meat inside!!! The waitress was really… expressionless when she told me ‘of course they have meat inside’ Overall not bad, this place is also recommended in the Michelin Guide. To match Michelin standards, they need proper labelling.

Food is good, can’t say great. Long wait at Sunday morning after 10. Not worth the wait to be honest. Like many other Chinese dim sum place, many people waiting to be seated stuck at the entrance near dining area. Better lower your expectation toward service and atmosphere.

A 12 degrees evening before the anticipated arrival of the first big ice and snow storm of 2026 and wanted to have "last meal" of sorts before the great hibernation. We had 5 lobsters-split broiled, braised abalone-sea cucumber-shitake, a giant steamed branzino (live from the on-site fish tank), dried scallop fried rice, braised crab yee-noodles, cold platter with suckling pig, beef, pickled vegetables and jellyfish, a sautéed seafood dish with sugar snap peas-squid-conch, chicken-abalone soup, fried chicken, fried crab claw with shrimp, deserts were a fruit platter and also sweet red bean soup. Service was quick, but very, very rushed. Dishes came out every 5 minutes and were served and distributed. The next dish arrived before the current one could be finished and they brought us plastic boxes to pack what we couldn't finish. Food quality was fresh, but not particularly flavorful, slightly overcooked as seafood needs to be pretty exact. Difficult to stay fully booked in the current economy, but the entire restaurant of about 400 seats, was filled, as well as the private rooms, on this evening.

Horrible front desk service. After waiting 30 minutes, we were seated at a crowded table with five other customers. The host insisted that this was the only option on Saturdays. Highly disappointing and definitely not recommended—there are plenty of better restaurants nearby.

Dim Sum was mostly overcooked or probably was sitting there for awhile. Service was bad as you have to wait for 10 mins to have your tea refilled (either you call a waiter/waitress or they'll walk by you pretending like they don't see you). As for the place, it was packed and had to wait around an hour for a table. If you have any plans afterwards, I highly recommend that you avoid this place or you'll be wasting your time for some mediocre food.

My family and I have been going here for years, ever since I was a kid. We order the Peking Duck for every special occasion, multiple times a year. The quality has gone down A LOT. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the take out order of a full duck for Christmas (see picture attached). We ordered it two days ago and today. The duck barely had any meat. For almost a hundred bucks, this is unacceptable. We are so disappointed. The restaurant used to know us by how much we came. We called them tonight and they put us on hold for a while so we hung up. This was not enough to feed the family. Please fix this for other people. Sad service.

Huifen Li

I had a really disappointing experience here. The waitress that served us was very pushy—she kept trying to upsell us to the most expensive dishes. On top of that, she spoke my hometown dialect and constantly interrupted our family conversation, which felt extremely rude and unprofessional. The presentation of the dishes looked nice, but the flavors were nowhere near what they used to be. It really seems like they’ve changed the chef. The Vancouver Crab Lotus Leaf Rice was especially awful—the sticky rice was far too greasy and completely lacked any lotus leaf aroma. Considering the high prices, the overall quality was very poor. Definitely not coming back.
