Recensioni di Hero City Express Deli Brooklyn
The only issues I have with this place are 1) I’m tempted to go every day 2) it’s ruined every other sandwich place for me. The food is excellent, seems a little exy until you’re handed the bag and realise it’s the weight of a small child. Coffee’s great as well! The staff are as lovely as they get too. Triana is an angel - obsessed with her.
So happy to have discovered this shop! So far I've had the porchetta & rabe sandwich (delicious and pretty big - could be two smaller size sandwiches), two flavors of bombolini (nutella and sour cherry - yumyumyum), and the savory croissant with capricola and cheese (SO GOOD, perfect breakfasts sammy). Not cheap but nothing this tasty in this neighborhood is! Proprietors were super friendly and helpful. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!
My husband and I love this little shop! And so does our dog, Lucy, who always gets showered with pets and treats when we stop by. We love that they have specialty Italian imported products that are hard to find, such as their olive oils, and their large round loaves are amazing. We can’t wait to try their sandwiches and everything else they have to offer!
The cold Italian hero is the best, most delicious & flavorful Italian sub I've ever had!! I got it for my train ride home to Boston...now I can't wait to plan my next trip back to Brooklyn to get another one or try something else from the menu...everything there looked delicious!
Great sandwiches. The imported Italian specialty groceries are a nice bonus. Music is always unpleasantly loud.
My wife and I were in Brooklyn last week getting our daughter Claire settled into her dorm at Pratt (Go Canoneers!) and we found the Hero Shop. Here in Detroit we call them “subs” but no matter what you call them these were the best sandwiches we ever had anywhere. Absolutely delicious and prepared by a great staff who were very nice. It was Saturday afternoon so they were a little busy and it took them just a few minutes longer to prepare our heros. No big deal to us but the guys apologized for the delay and offered us a cold drink from the cooler, on the house. I saw they had Heineken so I asked if it ok to take that and they said no problem! Best sandwich ever (I had the cold Italian hero) paired with a fantastic beer on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Brooklyn. Life is good! Will be back every time we’re in the city! Way to go guys!
We love the food here; the pulled pork and the Italian hero are amazing! But what really makes the difference is the staff. They're so friendly and helpful, it makes us want to keep coming back.
Excellent, flavorful sandwiches on fresh bread. Eggplant Parm 9/10 It is filled with thin sliced and fried eggplant, covered in great tomato sauce and some cheese. It has the right combination of flavors. Wagyu roast beef 9/10 This is high quality meat! Even though this is technically a wagyu roast beef, it is more like the best Philly cheese steak you ever had. I've eaten all of them in Philly and this is better. Porchetta rabe 8/10 Lots of broccoli rabe, melted cheese and some excellent porchetta. Great sandwich. Sausage and broccoli rabe 8/10 The sausage is excellent. It's sweet, savory, and everything you want in a sausage. Taste like it was home made.
I have lived in Brooklyn for so long and it’s hard to find a good sandwich shop these days. Except I ordered the Korean BBQ sandwich from Brooklyn hero shop, and it was so good and worth it! The chicken was juicy and crispy and everything that came on it complimented it very well. I def recommend it! 👍🏽👍🏽
Went here for a giant sandy today. My fiancé and I both got the chicken cutlet Italian hero with mozz! Perfect cutlet to bread ratio. The cutlet was on the thicker side which I welcome every time!!! Lil bit of spice. Definitely try this place out!! They have a bunch of different options- paninis, cold subs, etc.
This is by far my favorite sandwich shop.♥️ The staff is incredibly friendly and eager to tell you about their specials and help you narrow down what you’re really in the mood for. Which after looking at the menu is everything! If you haven’t stopped in yet your haven’t truly enjoyed a sandwich!
Ordered the Chicken Parm and Mortadella. Both were superb. Service was great. In-store atmosphere is authentic. Highly recommend for those looking to fulfill a sandwich fix when visiting Brooklyn!
I noticed this place while driving a few months ago and I finally got to stop in the other day. The people behind the counter were both super friendly and helpful. We got two hero sandwiches and they were both delicious. We got the speck and burrata sandwich and the porchetta and broccoli rabe sandwich. We also got a Stracciatella soup that was very good. They have a good selection of craft beers and sodas. They also have some Italian specialty items as well as pastries and gelato. All the sandwiches sound delicious, I can't wait to come back and try some more!
The staffs friendliness is only surpassed by the richness of every sandwich I order. In downtown Brooklyn, there is the illusion of choice of good sandwiches. If you are going to spend nearly $20 on a sandwich, there isn't another place in the area where I would take that money! Solid 9.3 out of 10.
One of the best sandwich shops in NYC. Reward your mouth with the out-of-this world Spicy Eggplant Sandwich or any of the other great sandwiches they make. The price is fair and the end product is so much better because everything is fresh with top notch ingredients.
Great sandwiches, loved the speck and burrata as well as the mortadella sandwich. Staff are very friendly, offered us espresso while we waited for them to make our order! Will be coming back!
Hands down the best sandwich I’ve ever had. I go here at least once per week. You get what you pay for—incredibly high quality and fresh ingredients plus very big portions.
My large group (10+) orders from here regularly. Everyone always agrees to come here- they have a large menu with something for everyone. From delicious sandwiches to exciting salads and amazing desserts, this shop is 10/10.
I love it here! rob and crew are awsome and you can do a little karaoke while you wait..wait time isn’t long so don’t do a concert lol
If you enjoy excellence in customer service, gourmet sandwiches and tasty treats, this is the place for you! I frequent the Brooklyn Hero Shop around three times a week and the customer service is consistent and always enjoyable. I highly recommend the steak and cheese panini, the shrimp po boy, and the Reuben. Run, don’t walk, to go and check this place out! The customer service alone, will have me coming back again and again!
Hey guys I went today and seen a very nice upscale place . Customer service was great as this very attractive man was at the front and allowed me to sample some cheese . I ordered an Italian hero (hoagie) where I am from lol and let me say …. It was actually 1 of the best sandwiches I’ve had in my life . Very fresh . I will definitely go again .
Brooklyn Hero is in a wonderful neighborhood across from the B69 bus stop at DeKalb Avenue and the B54 stop on Vanderbilt Avenue. Brooklyn Hero offers a very wide variety of great-tasting foods in a very lovely setting. The service is nothing short of spectacular with a really caring staff. I enjoyed sitting in the sun eating at the outdoor tables almost every day from mid-August to November when the tables were removed. Fortunately, they were recently restored! Clinton Hill is very lucky to have Brooklyn Hero. I proudly wear my Brooklyn Hero t-shirt! During the winter, I often requested delivery. The two delivery guys are really exceptionally good.
10/10 on all fronts. Great selection of items for purchase, a lovely staff and the best heros in Brooklyn. I’m not kidding, the cutlets just by themselves have actual seasoning and are so good. Sandwich creations are always perfectly balanced Great desserts and just a great neighborhood friendliness that is so missed in this area. Will always return.
AMAZING sandwiches, INCREDIBLE service!!! A+++!!!! We brought our daughter to Pratt yesterday and ate here before the long drive home. This was the quintessential awesome New Yorker vibe, plus excellent food (I am still dreaming about my sandwich…the chicken cutlet, the basil… the bread! We were treated so nicely and given free cookies too! We will be back!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Awesome place with great staff! Every sandwhich I have ordered has been delicious. My favorite is the spicy eggplant. Great bread and good vibes. Sometimes the sandwhiches take a little long to make but overall amazing experience.
Legit one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. They really get me with their assortment of imported Italian groceries. I always end up buying a bunch of sweets while I wait for my sandwich. This ain’t no ordinary deli sandwich. 🤯😋
Really good sandwiches, and great vibes inside. The guy behind the counter gave my son a taste of the meatballs, and he also got a lollipop when we checked out. Very welcoming place with great food. Highly recommend.
Great lunch spot. Maybe best sandwiches I've had in the area and super consistent at that. Fun sampling of Italian groceries inside too and kind staff. Would love if management would consider redoing the seating area. If they attempted to make it level (street seating area is super tilted) and upgraded chairs/tables to feel a bit higher quality, could see this be a consistently packed spot.
This is an amazing sandwich to go shop. The service is top-notch and attentive and the food is consistently outstanding. I ate here 5 days in a row. Outstanding people and outstanding food!
Really great sandwiches and salads - everything is very fresh. Also if you have Italian family you’ll be right at home here, they have a lot of Italian specialty goods. Staff is also very kind and friendly.
After I found this hero shop existed in my neighborhood, I haven’t looked back. I try a new sandwich every time and not one has let me down. I do agree with other reviewers that the sandwiches are pricey and I’d probably eat here more often if they were at a lower price point but I haven’t found a better sandwich shop in NY. You also HAVE to try the Manhattan Special drink because it is spectacular and a staple.
Walked by here during a stroll through the neighborhood and was drawn in not just by the great looking sandwiches but also the friendly staff. My first time, made a custom sandwich and it was delicious. Will return for sure.
This right here is a hidden gem in Brooklyn. I was visiting my mom from Manassas, VA and I stopped here with my family for a quick bite to eat. I could immediately tell this wasn't your typical deli style sandwich shop; the atmosphere was a whole lot better. Hey, I also get it it that in New York you have a lot of good delis that serve a lot of good food but what I loved about this place was the variety of different sandwiches, and of course the great location (close to mom's). Every sandwich we ordered was delicious. I'm partial to a good Cuban but my wife had the BBQ brisket sandwich which was absolutely fantastic . I'll be having that one when we return. I wish we had a place like that back home in Manassas, VA. Feel free to come an open one up. :-)
This place is a gem. The neighborhood really needed a great sandwich spot and this place is absolutely great. The coffee is incredible. They also sell an assortment of Italian specialty items for a very fair price. The sandwiches are a not very cheap but the ingredients are so good and they are made so we'll that you get what you pay for. They are owned by the same as Graziellas. Totally makes sense. I hope they succeed.
By far the best service you’ll get in this city. They’re always so kind. The sandwiches are delicious and they have a great selection of baked goods, wine, and more. We’ve been back a few times now and will continue cooking back!
Walked into this neighborhood gem not knowing what I wanted. EVERYONE was so friendly, one young man went down the menu and gave a general overview of how everything was listed. Another young man went to match a sandwich to my taste buds. The menu is vast so I appreciated both approaches. A sweet lady offered us fresh mozzarella cheese while we waited for our order. Lovely experience. And then I actually had the sandwich. I ordered the spicy eggplant parmesan with burrata. It came out warm, on a seeded soft roll, perfect sauce ratio, the eggplant Parmesan was crispy, not soggy at all. Absolutely enjoyed every bite.
I've been meaning to come here for a long time. As I approached, I saw the woman (I think she's the owner) giving food samples to a young family. Everyone was happy and smiling that I knew I was going to like this place. The atmosphere is impeccable. Good music, and the kind folks that work there have such pride and enthusiasm for their craft that their cheer is infectious. I got the mortadella with sporesatta, arugula, olive oil, balsamic, etc., on a crisp roll. I might have one of those wrong lol, the gentleman recommended it and he nailed it! A stunning sandwich. 😍 Definitely recommend it! I can see them being a neighborhood staple for decades to come.
We moved into the neighborhood at the same time as Brooklyn Hero Shop— and have spent just about every day together since. It's got some magical vibe between old-school NY and the quintessential coffee bar on every Italian street corner. And best of all, we've become friends with the whole morning crew–– it's like if the Cheers bar moved to Brooklyn and served cappuccini. Rob always creates a great atmosphere for his guests to relax and meet one another, and serves up great coffee; and Anna has a way with pastry that suggests she's clearly from space (and there are several GF options! Not necessarily listed, so ask.) While I enjoyed having it as our neighborhood secret, more and more we're meeting new regulars who've left their "old place" for the charm and consistency of BHS. And while we're morning people, we've certainly had and loved the sandwiches. I've even found Italian market items I haven't seen since living in Rome. Kudos BHS, you've single-handedly stopped our search for a new espresso machine!
Walked by and was drawn into the cute ambiance - nice music playing outside and plenty of outdoor seating. We got the cold Italian hero which was very fresh. They have a large variety of mostly hot sandwiches and they also sell italian grocery items, pastries, and coffee. Service was also great and the people were nice.
This place is the most awesome sandwich shop in all of Brooklyn. Would totally recommend to anyone looking for a good sandwich place…
My go-to sandwich shop. The cold Italian is as good as any in the city. Nashville hot chicken is great too. Some high end groceries and snacks are a nice plus if you feel like splurging. Staff is always friendly!
Made a quick random stop on a whim driving through from Ohio to MA. Highly recommend this little shop. The food was delicious with clearly high quality ingredients. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Such a warm atmospheres full of good smells. The Italian wedding soup was phenomenal and both of our sandwiches were some of the best we’ve ever had. Must try location!
2000 years ago, the Emperor Hadrian built a temple unlike any other. It wasn’t dedicated to Jupiter, or Apollo, or Venus, but to all the gods together. This was controversial at the time- if lightning struck the temple, how would the people of Rome know which god was angry at them? Hadrian brushed off the haters and built a masterpiece, topped with the biggest dome the world had ever seen. The Pantheon, as it came to be known, still stands today- proof that something powerful happens when you get the whole god squad together in one place. What I’m saying is, Brooklyn Hero Shop is the Pantheon of hot sandwiches. On the wall you’ll see plaques with the 12 names for god- hoagie, grinder, sub, etc. They’ve got a deep roster of Italian classics- your parms, your porchetta broccoli rabes (pictured), your cutlets. But they don’t stop there! Respect is given to all the great ones: Nashville Hot Chicken, Philly Cheesesteak, Po’ Boy, Reuben. Just like in days of yore, haters will scoff at the attempt to crank out so many regional classics at once. Maybe that’s fair; within walking distance are places that specialize in each of the above sammies. But BHS is right there up there with all of them.
Amazing EVERYTHING. I’m new to the neighborhood so today was my first time and trust meeee it is NOT my last. Rob provided us with top tier customer service and everything I tried was delicious. I will absolutely be coming back and highly recommending this spot!
True story- I walked by and somehow heard the word "porchetta", looked up and saw the word porchetta on the window of Brooklyn Hero Shop. I walk in, am greeted by some very nice people, and go ahead and order the porchetta with broccoli rabe and cherry peppers. It was amazing- well seasoned and juicy pork, peppery rabe, the perfect baguette to serve it on. Don't know who said "porchetta" to me outside as there seriously wasn't anyone near me, but I'm glad I walked in and can't wait.to get back.
Brooklyn hero is the only place to get the most amazing sandwich’s and food. I have had pastrami sandwiches before but nothing compares to this is give it 10 out of 10! The staff is wonderful food is always on point. Vito, Anna and rob are the owner they take pride in all the food and what is put out. Which in these times is so rare to find a owner’s present and caring about food and quality control. If you have not stopped by yet do it!!! And you will be a return customer for sure as I am.
The sandwiches are amazing. The gluten free bread is very good and hard to find at old school places like these. Rob is the best! I accidentally forgot my backpack and I called the restaurant. Rob went outside and found it and held onto it so I could pick it up.
Steep prices but the sandwiches are extraordinary and the owner is a kind soul. The turkey is roasted in house and the softest juiciest I've ever had in a sandwich. By far the best gluten free roll I've had a sandwich on and no reaction to any cross contamination. We came here from across the country on our honeymoon and have found a place we'll be sure to come back to.
What a lovely spot! I had the Cold Italian sandwich and it was scrumptious, and if I lived in the neighborhood I would absolutely be there all the time to stock up on pickles and olives and other charcuterie staples. And the sidewalk tables are perfect for people (and dog!) watching
The vibe at Brooklyn Hero Shop is just as good as their sandwiches. I got a Reuben that was out of this world, and my wife raved about the Nashville hot chicken. The staff was so friendly and genuine, making the whole experience really enjoyable. It's clear they care about their customers and their food. If you're looking for a delicious lunch and a welcoming atmosphere, this is your spot.
This place is absolutely amazing. The staff is so warm and welcoming. The food is incredible. The smells, music and vibes are top tier. Great job to everyone working here. I’m from Staten Island so Ive been to many Italian deli/store and this place is definitely a great spot to grab and go and get special Italian groceries. Highly recommend.
I came here with a friend after roaming around the neighborhood while we waited for our table at Evelina. We walked in and immediately were drawn to the great selection of pantry items they had (sucker for colorful labels as well). I’m not a big cook so it kind of inspired me to want to try some recipes just to incorporate some of the items we saw. After looking around for a bit we walked out and decided we definitely wanted to come by another time to check out the sandwiches, well that some time turned into a few hours later when we got hungry again and wrangled our other friend to come to the shop with us. While looking at the menu the guy behind the counter was super nice and asked what we were in the mood for, while we looked over the wide selection of sandwiches he gave me a taste of the buttermilk fried chicken in the Korean sauce they had and WOW it was soooo tasty and juicy. I ended up getting the Korean fried chicken sandwich with coleslaw and pickled onions. My friends both got the friend whiting sandwich and they absolutely loved it. Call us creatures of habits but we ended up going back again the next day to try another sandwich because we were craving it so much! 1 whiting sandwich, 1 shrimp po boy and I got the chicken cutlet with Calabrian chili aioli and wow, someone needs to bottle that chili aioli and sell it! So happy to have such a nice neighborhood spot (just discovered it but I see they’ve been open since 2021) with such amazing customer service and great sandwiches. Can’t wait to go back and try more!
Love this sandwich shop. So many great options to choose from and they also have a handful of Italian grocery selections. We’ve gotten a bunch of sandwiches over the past two years, but our favorites are the Cubano panini, mortadella sandwich, any roasted turkey hero and the porchetta w/ broccoli rabe. Amazing spot. And one subtle thing I’ve noticed after picking up an order - the owner always says thank you. A sincere thank you for ordering from his business and you can tell he means it. It took me a few visits to realize this gesture, but now that I’ve heard it, I really appreciate it. Go out of your way to come here. It’s worth your time.
I work in the neighborhood and sometimes I like to treat myself to their sandwiches. They are a bit pricey but you pay for what you get. All of their sandwiches are quite big, always fresh and extremely delicious. The service is very nice too! Just got the Nashville Spicy Chicken Sandwich and it’s the best Chicken Sandwich I’ve ever had.
Yup. Sam Anderson is spot on. Best. Nashville. Fried. Chicken. Sandwich. In brooklyn. Hey, you gotta have a wee bit of confidence to name your place Brooklyn Hero Shop. It’s either a huge hit or a massive failure worthy of icarus. Call this a hit. Big hit. While I agree on the other posters assessment of the fried chicken sandwich, that’s not my favorite go to. That spot is reserved for an excellent shaved porchetta, broccoli rabe sandwich with hot peppers and melted provolone (and I wasn’t even born in south Philly). Run, don’t walk to get sandwiches here. Next up for us? Pressed Cubano and a righteous Buffalo chicken. The decisions. The decisions. Maybe it’s the bread (as in any great sandwich). And maybe it’s the porchetta (who doesn’t love expertly prepared pork product?). I can’t tell, they are neck and neck. One note, though, the standard sandwich has a pesto on the hero, something that I’m not as much a fan of. It tastes good, but it’s just not where I’d go. But it is still insanely good. Awesome place. Go now. Had to write an addendum. Just bit into the Cubano. Perfectly done, very authentic. These are some very serious sandwich dudes putting out some great stuff. It’s really hard to have a repertoire that spans Cubano to porchetta/broccoli rabe to Nashville fried and do it all so well. Bravo. Ordered again now in November. Two sandwiches. Both perfect. Turkey and avocado on a roll. Awesome mix including chopped bacon which adds the perfect salty balance. Chicken cutlet Italian hero. The Calabrian pepper aioli makes the sandwich sing. Bravo again
Delicious! They really pack these sandwiches! I got the Turkey & Avocado on Roll and my boyfriend got the Turkey Philly. The bread was so fresh and my boyfriend said they shaved the turkey right then and there. I can't wait to go back and try more! Also, the donuts are amazing!!!! The Sour Cherry Mascarpone Bomboloni is so freaking good I think about it daily.
Let’s talk business. And by business I mean Nashville hot fried chicken sandwiches. You may think, “it’s a fried chicken sandwich, it must be good, right?” Wrong. It’s better than good. It’s sock-knocking, pickle-popping good. Who knew a sandwich could be so sinfully divine? I was not prepared for the crunch-crusted chicken or billowy-bunned bread. Nor will I ever be. I’m on my couch. Sitting the way we all do after a scrumptious meal. Plopped and content. I may not move from this spot for hours. I’m okay with that — because I just had the best fried chicken sandwich of my life.
Love the concept of this store— ready to eat foods, coffee, and in store goods. I came in the evening and the barista was awesome to chat with. The prosciutto bread was delicious I almost ate the whole thing on the walk home. Really solid tasting cappuccino as well! Definitely will be back.
I didn’t experience any of the bad review items posted. Went by and even though the business was light but constant I was acknowledged as soon as I stopped reading the menu. The lady and the sandwich maker were both neighborhood nice and adult for the whole process. I waited like 10 minutes for a great sandwich and amazingly put together salad. It’s a bit expensive but for the quality and attitude I’d come back.
wednesday's flash downpour had us duck into this recently opened sandwich shop ... partner greatly enjoyed their chicken sandwich and although technically not a scone and i question the "tint" of the pistachio schmear on it ... i did eat and enjoy all of it. nice music playing and staff attentive.
This place has next level sandwiches. The focus on high quality meat comes through so well. Hero Shop doesn’t just serve up amazing meat, they marinade it, season it and serve it in style. Their signature Porchetta & Rabe was excellent. The balancing of the additions could be tightened up. Although broccoli & pesto is a classic combination, I’d say the broccoli added little and actually detracted from the meat.
Went for lunch, not too busy, went with the Nashville chicken sandwich; $14.15. Order at the cashier, you can wait outside and when your order is ready she will call your name on this racetrack-like loudspeaker which is clear and appropriately loud. Very tasty sandwich, tabasco like hot sauce which is not overbearing with a nice slaw and chopped pickles to balance it out on a fluffy bun. Pretty wide sandwich so if you have a small mouth like me, it can get a tad messy. Very good experience and certainly looking to go back to enjoy another sandwich.
I had passed by this place many times since it opened and always was curious since it looked so nice from the outside. Its designed in a way that is giving you the impression its a european-style italian delicatessen store. I was reminded of Saraghina right away and was thinking of delicious fresh bread and high quality cheeses and meats and incredible provisions. So now I had time to stay and ordered two sandwiches for a total of $48, excited to get the "best Brooklyn Hero" for lunch. What I got was an enormous Sandwich for sure. But the bread was just a regular soft Bodega roll, and non of the sauces or ingredients tasted homemade at all, it was pretty much the same as in my local Bodega for twice the prize. Maybe I am too picky at this point when I get some really amazing food at other places and I know Clinton Hill is pricey, but I was dissappointed non the less.
I love a good Sandwich. With that said I was kind of disappointed with the Italian Sub. For the price and the wait time it fell short. I mostly got a Turkey sandwich and barely any veggies or other meat. I don’t know what went wrong here. The service was excellent and it was a nice vibe.
The sandwiches were delicious but we ordered for 6 people and they did not label all of the sandwiches. And one of the sandwiches had a long strain of hair in it...
I asked if they had prosciutto and they said yes. So I ordered a prosciutto sandwich on a roll (so not very big) and it was $20.. it felt like too much but prosciutto can be pricey so I didn’t think much of it. Got home to find I had a sandwich with generic deli ham. Unfortunately I hate deli ham (but love prosciutto). Pretty disappointing and a waste of $20.
Just ordered the mortadella sandwich - took one bite and it was inedible. Bread was stale and the sandwich did not have any flavor. Sad.
I live in the neighborhood, and being Italian myself, was always thoroughly charmed by the vibe of this place. I don’t have the money to eat here regularly, as it’s quite expensive and there are way too many options — but I’ve eaten enough to report that the sandwiches are not that great, and I feel discouraged from trying any more of them out. (The reviews here seem to rave about the Nashville Fried Chicken? Ugh. Fried chicken has this city in a chokehold and I just don’t get it). In terms of the Italian offerings, I have found the ingredients to be flavorless and mushy — the eggplant parm had no crisp or seasoning, the sauce & cheese was bland, and if it weren’t for the hot peppers on the overly-drenched Italian beef I’d have wondered if I lost my sense of taste to COVID. The cold cuts and veg seem like your basic corner deli selections. Meatballs felt microwaved. The bread is likewise super soft and boring. Nothing is served with any polish or care. I never even got around to the sausage & pepper hero which should be the jewel in the crown of any Italian shop. If you like this place then keep going and support them. If you have favorite sandwich suggestions I’ll give it another shot. But everything that is served should be 100%, yeah? I think they would benefit greatly from reducing the menu by at least half to the essentials, and focusing on higher quality ingredients, seasonings and preparation.
Delicious sandwiches. Liars about wait time. Been twice in the last two weeks. Was quoted 20 minutes both times. First time (walk up and order on a Saturday) my sandwich was ready in 45 minutes. Today (called ahead for pick up on a Thursday) my sandwich wasn’t ready until 55 minutes after I ordered it.
I’ve ordered from here probably about 15-20 times, and others have noted every now and then you get stale bread and a mediocre sandwich, which is crazy for the price. Second, this shop is clearly just raising the prices and shrinking the ingredients every month, I assume until they hit a breaking point and people stop coming. Well, they officially hit it for me and I’ve stopped ordering from them. Let me know when we’re no longer paying $20 for a sandwich.
This is Amazing place , I can not complaint about food or drinks . Unfortunately the lady who is at front have a disgusting aptitude I really don’t understand how a business owner can hire a person like her . Yes the one who was there yesterday 6/7/22. I remember there is a different girl working there (Michell) she was so nice with customer. I will Never come back to this place . Heyyyyy Girl get a Boyfriend to make U happy .
Bland sandwiches (had the portobello) and the made to order soup does take forever. Not even the best restaurants in the world do made to order soup, because it makes no sense. If you’re going to do made to order soup, put up a sign. It’s just what you do. Great that they imported the Nutella from Italy though. And sadly, rude service. Clearly indicated by their response to this review. Not the cute, neighborhood, Italian vibe sandwich spot you were hoping for.
If I can give zero stars I would. I got the meatball sub and it was disgusting. It was soaking wet in sauce yet had no flavor. The meatballs were still cold with hot sauce poured overtop. Considering I’m not the only bad review on this page I would NEVER go back. Save your money on this overrated expensive shit.
Supposed to be open at 9:00am. Showed up at 9:15. Closed. Booooo
I ordered a tuna sandwich expecting something freshly prepared and thoughtfully assembled, but what I received was genuinely disappointing. It appeared to be plain tuna scooped straight from the can and dropped onto the bread without any seasoning, mixing, or basic preparation. There was no mayo, no seasoning, no texture—just dry, flavorless fish. To make matters worse, it was served on the wrong bread, despite my order being clear. Super annoying and a complete waste considering this cost $18.
Ordered the Spicy Eggplant sandwich, Korean Fried Chicken sandwich and the Mexican salad from doordash. We were charged 19.50 for a box of lettuce and a couple slices of avocado. No tomatoes or bacon as advertised. The sandwiches were quite stale too. We've ordered from this spot in the past but everything today was stale and tasted off.
