I've been ordering their sushi for the past year or two. Food is always fresh, staff is always helpful and friendly. Love a local, down-to-earth store like this!

A better sushi place nearby, good for its value on varies sushi rolls

I’m ordering second time from this place and sushi always freshly made and delicious. My favorite one will be always salmon avocado rolls. Da BEST

We got their spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and an avocado cucumber roll. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Service is excellent & packaging was great for delivery. We would happily order again from this new downtown Sushi spot.

the food they have is a 9.5/10 their service there is the best! it was snowing when we went in, surprisingly, they didn’t kick us out like how another restaurant owner did ‘cause that we needed to stay so long. they’re also very trustable. we left our stuff there for a while and came back, our stuff was not touched at all.

Ramen ( tan tan pork ) and sushi were excellent. My 9 yr old got the Salmon deluxe for his bday lunch and enjoyed it!

The cashier is really friendly and I come often because of work or just personally wanting to get something. The food here is great and I love the platters and the eel+avocado roll!!

The food is very high quality with nice salmon and rice. The miso is really good, too, btw.

I would recommend Otani Sushi to all my friends. I ordered a party tray and the sushi are delicious. My kids love the takoyaki there. Staffs are very polite and nice.

They provided top quality ingredients. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was outstanding. Will definitely come back again!

The restaurant is located in the Dyker Heights section of Brooklyn. They prepare Japanese cuisine. I ordered the sushi bento box. It includes choice of soup or salad, three shumai, rice, and eight pieces of sushi. The sashimi bento box is the same with nine pieces of sashimi. The harumaki are Japanese spring rolls and were crisp. The vegetable gyoza are dumplings with a vegetable filling. The food was fresh, well-prepared and well-priced. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Otani Sushi is a quaint sushi joint located on Fort Hamilton Parkway. There is not a lot of seating and there is no real table service, just order and sit down. I got the salmon lover set, which includes 9 pieces of salmon sashimi, 6 pieces of salmon sushi, and one spicy salmon roll, all for $23. That is an amazing deal in my opinion! I thoroughly enjoyed the sushi and every single piece of salmon that I received was absolutely divine. It was soft, fatty, and well marbled. It was super fresh which I appreciated. I also ordered the Miso Ramen. The pork belly of the miso ramen was super tender and yummy. but the broth of the miso ramen was not as flavorful in my opinion. The noodles also lacked a certain chew, which is what I personally prefer in my ramen. I would come back for the sushi but not the ramen. Overall it's a pretty solid unassuming sushi spot, and I would come back for takeout if I was in the area!

Quality and price of the rolls are good, would order again. However the beef teriyaki bento box is lacking. Will probably try other entree dishes to compare.

Pretty good for local place. Just a tad bit pricey but overall, good place [knocked a star off for that]. Ordered lunch specials: salmon teriyaki, chicken teriyaki, Kani salad, special California roll, scallion pancake and eel avocado roll.

I was given a choice of 4 regular rolls amd etc… When trying to place the order I asked that I get my salmon roll with seaweed on the outside, I was told they don’t make rolls with seaweed on the outside). I said what so you mean you don’t make tekka maki (tuna roll with seaweed on the outside. The girl said no not for the party tray… I was shocked and wonder now how they handle raw fish if they don’t even offer the most generic sushi roll in the party platter. Deceived this is a bad sign and said I decided not to order. I mean that is unreal. Maybe because I am also a Sushi chef in the past that I don’t know why it would be difficult to just keep the seaweed on the outside and rice with the fish.
