Based on a couple of visits, this is a good Whataburger. The people are friendly and the food is good. My favorite is #5, the Whataburger With Bacon And Cheese, Fries, and a drink (Dr. Pepper). Often you can get a free Whataburger by taking their survey, which is nice (when the survey link works). The only time I won't visit this location is after an A&M football game, when the drive-thru line is infinitely long. [Update] Your experience depends on who's managing at the time. We did have one bad experience where we couldn't redeem an offer on the Whataburger app, and the manager was completely unhelpful. The restaurant was noticeably dirtier at the time. But he's the exception; the other managers are good.
I've been to this location a few times during quarantine for meals, and it has never disappointed. They have been really fast, regardless of the line, and polite. I get their sweet and spicy burger with spicy ketchup for my fries, and just love the taste. The burger is always a bit too big for me, so I save it for another meal and reheat it and the taste is still there. I also love their Dr. Pepper milkshakes, but haven't had one yet from here. They're also not skimpy on the spicy ketchup, when I asked for it, they gave me like 3-4 packets which was awesome because I can use my extras for other meals later. The most recent time I went the woman in the drive thru window was markedly kind and friendly, genuinely happy to be doing her job and hoping I would have a good day. I wish I had gotten her name to highlight her here.
Location was short of staff like most all places now. This didn't stop then from being helpful and they continued to work hard to get orders out timely. There was however a rude customer that was ruining everyone else's time inside by being loud demanding a supervisor because she was mad that her meal wasn't instantly placed in her hand after paying. Can't say I made things better by telling her to shut her face and to stop being rude to the employees because they were still being nice and trying to get things done right.
My only complaint is that they didn’t have the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich while I was visiting! The food was great as always, and we were extremely happy that they were open 24 hrs as our flight got in late. The drive through line was long, but moved quickly. I would trade our In and Out for a Whataburger any day.
My favorite Whataburger in the twin cities. Very friendly. If a mistake is made they correct it promptly

Let me tell you, Whataburger is a true Texas treasures. The service was truly exceptional, with the manager (Warren ), who went above and beyond to ensure I had a delightful experience. But the star of the show was the classic Whataburger. The bun was toasted to a golden perfection, by Warren himself, providing the ideal foundation of a deliciously, juicy burger. Each bite was pure bliss. It wasn't just the burger that was impressive, the whole experience was a testament to Whataburger's dedication to customer satisfaction. The restaurant was clean and inviting. If you are looking for a truly satisfying burger experience, look no further than Whataburger. It's a place where the food is delicious, the service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is pure Texas charm. I highly recommend it. Also, ask for Warren. Thank you,

went through the drive through today around 2:00 p.m. and had such a great experience! Diamond seemed to have both taken our order and brought it out. She was incredibly sweet and enthusiastic! Fastest whataburger that I have ever been to. This restaurant had excellent service. They were attentive and properly made all items that were ordered. The employees were highly respectful and all interactions were pleasant. The facility seemed very clean and well maintained. It was definitely a positive experience and I would happily recommend it to everyone looking for some classic American fast food.

As long as you get their food fresh it's quite delicious! Normally it is fresh especially when they're busy but even when it's not it's still good. I recently tried their new spicy chicken burger and I really hope they keep it on the menu because it's delicious! Also I really love their sweet tea It's quite excellent! Normally people are quite polite here but every now and then you get the occasional worker who is kind of grumpy but hey sometimes that happens. I definitely think Whataburger is worth the visit!

If you’re not coming to this location then you’re missing out! To be addressed and greeted by name when walking in the door, not by only the staff but the MANAGER- this is top tier the food is absolutely fresh every time I come, and trust me I come often! Love this place
This was one of the most Friendliest locations I have been to. I don't remember his name but the worker we met in the parking lot as well as the cashiers were amazing. They should all be recognized. It was my wife's first time at a Whataburger and she loved it. Thanks for making a great first impression
I want to give a personal shout to Joanna an Erica- I visit this store 5 days a week and walking through them doors and seeing them two makes my day. They are always friendly, and what gets me is Erica knows her her customers first name basis, they deserve serious props they are amazing. .

Every time I come here, the food is hot, fresh, and made exactly the way I order it. The burgers are always juicy and full of flavor, and you can truly tell they’re made with care. This place never disappoints, no matter the time of day. What really makes this location stand out, though, is the people — especially Aaliyah. She is hands down the best employee I’ve ever encountered, not just at Whataburger, but anywhere. Her attitude, kindness, and work ethic are unmatched. She makes every visit feel welcoming and appreciated, and you can tell she genuinely cares about the customers and takes pride in what she does. Employees like her are the reason customers keep coming back. Because of great food and even better people like Aaliyah, Whataburger will always be one of my favorite places. Was in town for a volleyball tournament and needed to get in and out quickly, to make the next game. It was busy, there were a few people ahead of us in line, but it moved very fast. Clean restrooms. Clean dining area. Self serve soda machine. Friendly employees. Food was delivered to our table shortly after ordering. Food was hot and fresh, generous portions, and tasty. Zero complaints! Much better than the one we go to back home. Great overall experience!
Best whataburger I’ve been to! And the fastest. They’ve got their system figured out for busy nights, we were out of the drive thru in less than 5 minutes. Food was fresh!

Moved to texas and everybody was telling me I had to try Whataburger. Today I finally went, and I was not disappointed. Ordered the bacon Whataburger and it was really flavorful. I loved the fried onions and aïoli sauce! The blackberry Dr Pepper shake was also the perfect shake consistency. Plus they bring your food right to the table and offer you napkins and spicy ketchup sauce (which was really good). Great customer service.

I went in to this location to grab lunch on break and was met with the most amazing service! Joanne informed me of the Whataburger app that helps get points quickly- free food and different offerings that are benefits of being a member. It’s like this location decided they really want to serve people and take care of people the way God would want! I had the pico burger.. so good! This is like a massive burger. 10/10 recommend this location and having a meal inside so you can have your day lightened by the kind employees!

In the day, it's great. At night, at least for the past 4 times, it's been trash. You get cold food and terribly slow service. Can't recommend. It's been horrible for years. Edit - I don't know what's changed, but the service I received 2-1-24 around 10:00 pm was the best I've had from this location. Food was great, service was fast, the manager at the window (didn't get his name) was super chill and helpful. I can't bring myself to trust them yet, but it seems this location is becoming better.
Nice clean location. Service was good and had no problems. Still think Whataburger could do with better drinks collection but no big deal really. My Monterey melt what's good fries were fresh. My son thought his patty melt was slightly overcooked and a bit dry but okay. Received order and under 10 minutes.

Hey so I normally don’t have an issue ordering from here. However, this last visit my burger had a little bit of an odd taste but I shrugged it off. I took a second bite and noticed something weird while I chewed. I thought of a nerve or something? I ended up finding something strange in my burger, not sure what it was but it was very chewy maybe a paper?
This location is okay. I really like the food more than anything it always seems to be hot and fresh. The service? Not so much. Every time I've come here I either have to wait for someone to come out from behind the kitchen to take my order, or they screw up my order. I think they've got too many people in the kitchen. I use to work at Whataburger as a teen and we were always organized.
Whataburger can be delicious, as many of us know. However, there are times when you place an order and your fries are soggy and/or refried—which is unacceptable. In that case, please return them for fresh ones. There is absolutely no reason why your fries should be soggy or refried. Given the current economic climate and inflation, eating at a fast food restaurant is becoming a luxury, and soggy fries are not part of that experience.
Well, my last visit I experienced descent service, but cannot brag about my food. I did not wait an unusual long time to get my food. When burger and fries arrived they were both room temperature at best. Fries were what I call 'soggy/limp', and burger was virtually tasteless. I didn't wait long to get my food, but I think the food had been waiting awhile for someone to eat it. Last couple visits have me thinking of finding another place (well, I actually have). My last few visits I have experienced long waits, some rudeness, and so-so food. Anyone else had this problem lately? I haven't done reviews for this place lately when requested, so this might be my last visit/review for awhile.
This was my worst Whataburger experience ~~ in Bryan, TX. The onion rings weren't eatable. I've never been unable to bite through an onion ring. It was like the skin was still on the onion. The burger was just muah. The Coke wasn't even good. So disappointing, because Whataburger is usually a sure thing.

The food is always great. Service is always hit-or-miss. I have placed identical orders at (near) identical times and waited vastly different periods of time. Sometimes it's 20 seconds, sometimes it's 20 minutes - crazy. I know that some of the staff here are amazing, care about their job, and care about their customers. I also know some staff here couldn't care less. But, I mean, it's Whataburger - I'll be back either way ;).
From time I pulled up to the drive-thru to the time I got my food, I waited 45 minutes. I saw 6 cars behind me get their orders, some of which seemed to be just as big as mine. All I ordered was two meals. When I finally got my food, it was fresh and tasted good, but this is anything but "fast food."
I enjoyed the strawberry shake! The burger was good, but it was cold..... probably because I waited at the window for about 25 minutes for my order. The onion rings, which they were only like six, or a little overcooked in fact dark brown in color. The salted caramel shake is good too.

I don't really eat fast food so much but whataburger is always a great choice for me when i do. I come to this location because its closer to where i live but lately the past few times ive went, the food quality was trash, this time i went at 6am when it wasnt packed and not only was the wait time long as hell but the food wasnt even fresh. I also found a hair after i finished my burger which i assume was in the fries because it was on the spot where i emptied the fries. Bad location, i would avoid it as theyre very inconsistent which puts a bad look on a good fast food place. I wouldve rather put that money into gas rather than this poorly made burger.
I ordered a biscuit sandwich online the night before. Picked it up at 5 AM. Started driving down the road and took a bite. The bread was hard as a brick! And, the sausage was tough as shoe leather! It's like they cooked the thing hours in advance and placed it under the heat lamp and forgot about it. come on Whataburger People!
The employees were friendly, but the food was pretty bad. My fries were cold and soggy. When the brought me a replacement, they brought a small instead of medium and they were SUPER salty. My burger was barely warm, dry, and only had one slice of cheese for a double. The ice machine wasnt giving any ice, so the manager filled my drink in the back but my drink was still hot because he only put a couple ice cubes even though I asked for a lot.
Food is usually alright but I come here about once a month and have consistently had 15-20 minute waits in the drive thru even without a line ahead of me.
I have ordered from this location at least once a week for about two years because I work right down the street and it’s convenient. I always do curbside and besides the occasional mistake on my order it’s has always been okay and timely but twice this week first Wednesday and now today I have had to wait over 30 minutes for my order and had to resort to going inside to ask for my food. I would understand if it was extremely busy but both times they had an almost empty dining room and only a couple vehicles in the drive through. I will update my review if they ever turn this around because wasting the majority of my lunch break waiting for the “fast food” isn’t working out very well.
I drove some friends here around 3:00am for a late night bite to eat. They ordered while I used the restroom and then I ordered within 2 minutes. Their food was slow coming out which is understandable considering the crowd. What was not acceptable is the fact that my food didn't come out for about 40 minutes after I placed my order even though I asked multiple times about it and multiple people came in after me and received their food before me. I ordered a burger and fries, nothing special. Everybody else in my group finished eating and I was still waiting. I went to the counter and told them to forget the food and just give me my money back as I had been waiting 40 minutes and my group already finished eating. The guy with dreads at the counter started to argue with me and tell me my friends were not part of my group and accused me of lying. Keep in mind these are literally the people that RODE WITH ME IN MY CAR to the location. The only reason this isn't a one star review is the guy working the counter (slim, taller, black gentleman) told the other guy to stop and told me he had just finished making my food and offered to get it. They should make him a manager because he was clearly fed up with the BS from other employees and was working hard to make things right. He quickly prepped the rest of the meal and handed it to me himself. I don't expect stellar service at this time of night but waiting this long to be accused of lying was ridiculous.
Waited for half an hour before calling restaurant and telling them that I was waiting out in the designated spot for curbside delivery. They brought a cold burger and fries. Complete disappointment. Whataburger has gone downhill.
The person taking the order could not understand what I wanted. It took 26 minutes for just a whataburger jr. I was told they lost the order. That is the biggest issue with this location takes way to long to get your order. The service was very slow. They have two drive thru lanes open but take orders from the first one twice as fast. If you can only handle one lane only open one. After waiting forever to order I had to watch 7 cars that ordered after me get their food. Its not like I ordered the entire menu. I only ordered 2 meals. When I got home I realized that the salad that they gave me was already passed the use by time. I will never go to this location again.
Poor customer service and food quality! Ordered a Patty Melt meal here in the drive thru (the burger was ok tasting) around 5:30pm on a Sunday but you could tell the order was rushed(as the burger was done sloppily) even though there weren’t that many people in line at the drive thru. When I come at a hour that’s not busy, I expect better and more attention paid to my order. As well as this, I ordered a unsweet tea but was given a diet coke, which I didn’t find out until moving from the drive thru pick up window. I never think that a customer should have to check if every detail of their order is correct as that is the job of the employees who build the order, but this Whataburger location really tests my trust with that now as coming here is more a inconvenience than a convenience! This is isn’t the first time this has happened either at this location. I always rate customer service by how much attention employees pay to details and this Whataburger is NOT IT! In fact, I wasn’t given a receipt(or the ketchup I asked for) or asked if I wanted one so that’s why I made my review here on google since I couldn’t do it via the website. Further regarding food quality, the fries were terrible as well since they were crunchier than usual(not necessarily a bad thing), but also very stale(which was AWFUL) as if they were fried more than once just to fulfill orders on time. A picture of some of the fries is included in this rating. That being said, I believe some employees at this restaurant are cutting corners/have no pride in the service they are providing even with how simple of orders they have to fulfill. Therefore, I genuinely give this restaurant a 1 to almost 2 star rating for poor quality of food and poor customer service. I won’t be returning to this Whataburger as much anymore until issues with customer service and food production improves.
Well I put in an order online at 11:17 the app said I'd be served by 11:24. I came on and said I was here and got yelled at by the cashier saying my food wasn't ready. Currently it's 11:36 and I still haven't been served may as well tell a story while I'm here as it would have been faster to go to HEB buy all the ingredients drive home and cook my own burger. 2 years ago this place was the best and generally a secret among the hoarde of college students who go to other locations closer to campus. Now, however, their staff and quality of food have taken a huge downturn where I'd rather go to the other Whataburger on University or just McDonalds tbh. Guy in B lane drive through is strangely aggressive and snatches your payment from you and shoves the bag in your face. Constantly get orders wrong and when it's right it's mid (thanks chicago) Lines take forever. One time my girlfriend and I ordered 1 patty melt to split during a midnight food run and we waited 45 mins with 2 cars in front of us. I know y'all got the midnight team on that, but 45 mins? It's some patties and french fries be fr It's overpriced for mid atp go to Wendy's it's better for a similar price
Let me start by saying I used to work in the food service/ customer service industry and I know that the last thing they want to deal with is an upset customer. I’ve been there and it’s frustrating, I get it. After being a manager I swore I would never be a customer to make a scene or leave a bad review. BUT… after what happened tonight I’m actually shocked… we pulled up to the drive thru and sat there for 30 minutes without even being acknowledged or told to wait until they could take our order. Being patient, we thought “maybe the speaker isn’t working?” So we pulled forward to the window and there were 2 people standing there talking. They both looked at us, I made eye contact with the girl, and then they proceeded to ignore us. Like actually ignored us while they stood there. They weren’t busy working on something else and the restaurant wasn’t busy inside. After a few minutes the girl eventually pointed at us and walked away and the guy never even acknowledged us. We tried to get his attention and it felt like he was intentionally ignored us. I would be understanding if I got an explanation or some kind of “I’m sorry we’re having difficulties” just something but we got nothing. We drove around to park and go inside and still got ignored so we left. I know whataburger is notoriously slow and I don’t mind I love the food and it’s worth the wait, but being ignored is just unacceptable. Not posting this to make a scene I just want someone in management to address it and get it fixed.
The worst Whataburger we HAVE EVER been too. We were missing an order and when we explained and showed them were we missing food the girl started arguing with us. We have never been treated that way and it was her mistake …. Never apologized then as she was walking away she was nothing off something. Very disappointed!!!
i only come to this location when its most convenient for me, and i can confidently say it is my least favorite location in the area. anytime ive been, my order is either wrong or it takes forever to receive, no matter how many customers are in the building/ drive thru.
Messes up orders very frequently, significantly worse than any other location in town.
Please change out the grease in your fryers!! Not only are my onion rings so dark from the dirty oil that they look burnt, they reek of old grease smell too. It’s DISGUSTING! The fountain drink machine was also out of carbonation for over a week despite letting them know multiple times.
food is fine but every single time I come here at night it takes 45+ minutes to get my food when going through the drive through. If it’s past 6pm forget coming here. The line is always way too long and moves SLOWLY!
We've ordered here a few times - my husband works nights so when he gets off at 5am it's convenient to just pick something up sometimes. We usually do an online order and go pick it up. The last three times we've done this, our order has been wrong or they've had us sit in their parking lot for 40+ minutes waiting on it, only to offer us our order that was forgotten on the counter because who doesn't love old cold burgers? They're polite when we bring up the issues, but it's ridiculous to have to tell them, have them remake the food, check it and it still be incorrect. Don't expect to get what you order here and God help you if you order near shift change.
DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION!!!!!!!! Ordered my food at 4:45 and didn’t get my order till 2:25. It was 40 minutes later when they gave it to me. Before that I went and asked the cashier names “ Leslie M.” She just said idk I asked what do you mean I don’t know and she’s like well I don’t know. She could’ve went to the back and ask. Minutes later my mom went and they told her that they had not put our order in that they would start making it as soon as possible. Minutes before I got my order I went on and asked again their answer was ohh it’s because we ran out and had to bring more from another restaurant when earlier they had told me something else. Makes no sense. On top of that I got no sauces in my order had to ask the girl for some and she would just bring me 2. They also forgot to give me the ranch I payed for and the girl just grabbed my receipt to check if it was true. Horrible experience. DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION.
Didn't receive my banana shake. Told to go forward into line 2 and wait and wait and wait. We ordered 3 brisket&gravey and 1 banana shake that we did not receive. We watch 5 cars that arrive after us, get their order and leave. We will not be back!!!! At least Chick-fil-A gets their orders out in a timely manner and they get the order correct.
Been in line 20 minutes for just 2 cheese burgers. I'm still in line as I'm writing this. I don't know what's going on here the only reason I'm still here, is cause I paid already. Strongly considering asking for my money back. This happens literally every time I come here. I'm not coming back here again.- now after the fact, the food was cold and the fries were old.
Went thru drive thru order was wrong went back still couldn’t get order right rude about it
Horrible experience at 956 whataburger and management . I had order my food from drive thru and got my food. 30min later I found out the team member at the window ( 6/22/2025 7:51pm ) forgot to give me my card back and also found out they were using my CARD to pay for other people food. I called whataburger 956 and management ( Linda or Lisa ) evening shift. picked up the phone , I simply asked her if she could tell me what happened to my card. She did not want to confessed it was there fault when I really just wanted to make sure no info was stolen from my card that’s all. She denied I couldn’t go thru drive thru with my id to get my card because that is policy.( my 1 year old was in car ) I can’t leave my child in the car by himself. 30 min later went to get my card ( food was cold ) at that point. Drive thru team member smiled knowing what my deal was and I was an unhappy customer at that point. Linda came to window smiling like if it was a joke DID NOT OFFERED To remake my order after wasting an hour. $30.00 down the drain and also charges that were taken BY MY CARD. This is very unprofessional management could’ve handle this better. I never write reviews no matter how bad experience was BUT THIS ONE WAS HORRIBLE
They don't change their grease enough. The onion rings were inedible. The chicken barely edible. I miss the one on South Texas. Never had any problems there. Can't wait until they're open again.
Order two meals, both of them with drinks with light ice. Ice filled all the way up to the top. Tried calling asking if they’ll be able to fix it and they said no, they can only fix one. The lady literally said it’s just a few more ice cubes. Not a good Whataburger!
I go to this whataburger on villa Maria by heb. ( hate to say it but) I go there Monday thru Friday service is normally great. Erica is the bomb, the young man that normally works the drive thru is truly amazing, however the young lady in drive thru ( Dallas is very rude. I was placing my order mid sentence she interrupted me , there was maybe one car behind me so it wasn't that busy I order the same thing everyday, I asked for extra sweet cream in my iced coffee there was none at all. She gave me my food and shut the window didn't say thank you and walked off didn't even give me a chance to say anything. Called spoke a ( manager) she was nice, if service like that is going to continue like that I will not be returning.
This is going viral on tiktok . Had to come confirm myself, sure was right. Video shows manger linda being rude to multiple customers , one clip of her basically screaming at a customer to sit down and wait. Customers are demanding her to be fired . I went to the location myself and felt humiliated by the manager linda.
If I could I would leave a 0/10 the food was cold and they took too long to give me my order. And Linda was very rude to me. I came up to the counter to ask for some spicy ketchup and she just looked at me ugly and almost threw the ketchup at me. I’ve never been treated this way before. They need to hire better people it’s not the customers fault if you’re having a bad day. I understand we all have bad days but don’t take it out on people .
I am very understanding when it comes to orders getting mixed up, however when an attitude is caught and being told to sit down and that I will be called up when the order is redone, I did not think that was a appropriate way to handle the situation. Linda (who which I’m assuming is a manager at this location) did exactly that to my mom who was just trying to get an update on why her order was taking so long to come out. Very unprofessional.
This is what happened to us dirty oil, and this was the second try. Still dirty, was told the picture on the menu is made by a computer, so the real chicken will not be the same. Refund please. Then wanted to argue chicken doesn't look like this! Not to mention there were about eight fruit flies flying around the tea and drink station.
