My friend took me to Mex Cocina Café in Burbank when I was seriously craving chilaquiles, and wow this place delivered. I ordered the Chilaquiles Bandera along with a café de olla, and everything was absolutely amazing. The chilaquiles were flavorful, perfectly cooked, and hit the spot in every way. The café de olla was rich, comforting, and the perfect complement to the meal. The ambiance was very homey and full of heart, with heart logos throughout that make the place feel extra special and welcoming. On top of that, the customer service was outstanding everyone was incredibly courteous, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. You can really feel the love they put into both their food and their space. If you’re looking for a great spot for chilaquiles and authentic flavors, this place is a must. I’ll definitely be back!

MexCocina Cafe is a homey, family owned spot in Burbank that serves authentic recipes from Jalisco. Not just my opinion, I have taken friends there before from the state of Jalisco and they were very impresssed. On this visit, I had the classic steak and eggs, the green salsa was a perfect compliment to the steak and the eggs were perfect over-easy! The other dish on the table was the fairly new Azteca Omelet, with ranitas of poblano chiles on top and special sauce. Always a treat! The service was attentive as always. They treat you like family. A place where being a regular is actually appreciated and they remember your preferences. Every dish is carefully made, consistent and delicious! Highly recommend!

I have been going to Mex Cocina since they opened. I have taken my family, including my parents who are now deceased. I have taken clients. I have taken other relatives. I have taken neighbors into Burbank just to eat at this restaurant. What I like most is not a particular Mexican dish they serve, but overall the consistency of quality and taste in every dish I’ve ever ordered here. This of course, is not to even mention the family atmosphere and absolutely outstanding service I receive from not only the owners and their family, but all of the other service people. There are many Mexican restaurants in Burbank and a couple of them that have been in Burbank for over 30 years, which all of us know who I am referring to. Those other Mexican restaurants are very good and I like them too, but I find the food and taste superior here at Mex Cocina. Just today I had breakfast there however I go for lunch and sometimes dinner too. It has been my experience that you cannot go wrong here at Mex Cocina!

Went here for the first time today and they were so friendly and helpful with the menu. They offered all the salsa to try and offered great suggestions. I went with the green chili verde omlette and the owner said it's his mom's recipe, I was not disappointed and it was the best pork chili verde I have ever had. My girlfriends chiliquiles were also amazing, never seen them so legit. Love the café de olla also. Isaac and his staff are the real deal.

Walking into this restaurant, I immediately sensed that we were in for a family experience! That was exactly what it was! We enjoyed every bit of it, had a lovely and delicious meal with a very nice ambience. The service was exquisite, with an extensive menu, both breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast menu was very large and it served all day. Our server checked on us at least four times. Also it's a small restaurant, so you're not gonna disappear into the shadows; my Carne Asada was delicious, and the meat was tender and flavorful. The cactus was also equally delicious with a lovely sauce. Everything was so good, a very blessed experience. We forgot an item at the table and they followed us all the way out to the parking lot to give it to us! So sweet! They even let me practice my Spanish and we're very courteous.

Awesome little gem that Gemini found for us in our trip to Universal. This restaurant isn't large and fanciest, but very well kept, food is amazing and best of all service is great. Portions are generous. Taste was great. Our waiter was very polite, took into consideration our dietary restrictions (vegetarian), and made appropriate adjustments to dishes to meet our needs (e.g. not just eliminate meat to make it vegetarian but replace it with veggies and cheese to our liking). Tasted a unique new flavour of Agua fresca, so that was nice :) Price was very reasonable for quality/portions/service. 100% recommend that you visit this place.

It was our first time eating at MexCocina Cafe, and hands down, it’s one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! The hospitality and attention we received were incredible, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything from the service to the flavors made it a memorable experience. I am pleasantly pleased with this breakfast place. I ordered the chilaquilles con nopales. It came out warm and flavorful. The green sauce was perfect not so sour and not so spicy. The pancakes were light with a taste of cinnamon. The French toast was scrumptious with buttered flavor. Betty was our waitress and she was professional and accommodating to our dietary needs. Thank you Betty we will be back. I want to try the other dishes like machaca next. What a great find in Burbank.

Hidden gem in Burbank, with delicious food, amazing service, and a very "home-y" vibe. The food has flavor, generous portions, and the aguas frescas were deliciously refreshing. The staff were attentive, very helpful, and good people to be helped by. I'll definitely come back again soon.

The food and coffee are good. They lack a lot of indoor seating and parking, with the volume of customers they get, which majority are large groups, they should offer more indoor seating. The place is small, they have more outdoor seating than indoor seating and indoor seating very cramped together. 1 bathroom for everyone. Parking is hard to find. The owners should consider getting a bigger location with more indoor seating and bigger parking lot, with the volume of customers they get it would be a good idea and have more than 1 bathroom, not everyone wants to eat outside in the cold with no outside heaters.

Tried this place for the first time today,got a breakfast torta and was not what I was expecting :( the eggs had no flavor and could barely taste the chorizo,the portion was too small not worth the $15,the place has cute aesthetics but not enough room inside and outside sitting is very hot,the horchata cafe drink was really good! Service was great and there was no wait time.bathroom is very clean.not sure if I would try it a second time but just wanted to give it a try after watching a TikTok,definitely did not get an authentic Mexican food taste.

We got here around 1pm on a Sunday. We waited extremely long for our food. I dont mind the wait if the food is worth it but my breakfast burrito was SO bland. Not even salt or pepper on the potatoes???? The waitress didn't come back to refill our coffees and waters after the second time. We had to ask for our bill. The cherry on top for me was, how are you going to have an establishment that holds so many people, but only one restroom?? Expect 20+minutes to use the restroom!!! The cafe de olla was so yummy! I give them that!! That's why I was so bummed out that I she didn't come back for enough refills. Very disappointed!!! I had high hopes for this place. I'm a foodie, and this girl can eat!!!!! So i was excited when I arrived and seen , it was busting at the seams with people and delicious looking food.
