We walked in like 20 mins before closing ( I hate people like us, they close at 8pm, just so you know) I asked the waitress if she would like is to find some place else to eat. She VERY SWEETLY replied she would take care of ALL 7 of us ( we are jerks, I know) . We were promptly seated, and served. The food was great! We definitely recommend and will return (just at a better time). We had a couple burgers, sandwiches and fries and everything was fantastic. We also took home a whole chocolate pie and I may not fit my jeans in the morning but it was worth it!!

Went for Mother's Day breakfast after church. Food was fast. Exactly what we ordered. Yummy. Like everywhere else the past 4 years, short staffed. We have patience and understanding. All the staff are covering 4 times the load. Our coffee cups & tea glasses were always full. Everything was pleasant and cozy. Not overwhelmingly loud. Our experience was fantastic. We will be back again.

Quaint little breakfast place in the middle of Burnet. I ordered the small biscuits and gravy with an egg on top, biscuits are good size and the gravy was really good with pieces of sausage in it. Glad I ordered the small as the large would probably feed two to three people easily . Service was exceptional and this is a small local place and has all the typical local decor. If you're coming through Burnet and it's breakfast time I recommend stopping in here, as I know I will next time I'm.passing thru.

If you are in the area and want to enjoy great food, this is the place. All the locals go there, it doesn't have too many tables, but it will be worth your wait. Enjoy the free coffee refills.

You couldn't ask for a more down-home, friendly atmosphere and experience. Country cooking and comfort food is here! This is my go-to for a sit-down breakfast over any other spot in town. They have amazing pies, too!

The first visit led to the second visit. We had the breakfast sandwiches on the go. They were fantastic. It's a better version of the breakfast toaster. The second time we hit the place was on our way home. I didn't want the sandwich so I got traditional fare. That was good too. The servers were great. They attended to our every need and made sure we were doing all right.

Had a great visit on the way home from Hye last weekend. Place was super busy when we got there, but the waitress was great and we made some new friends chatting with other tables. Food took a while (they were busy), but came out hot and delicious!

Those crazy gals know how to treat a man. I wanted some molasses and they had them for me. Most people don't know what molasses are and definitely wouldn't have any. That's a crazy gals did and it made my hotcakes taste wonderful. Food was superb conversation was light and fun place was clean and had anything you wanted to eat what else can you say about such a fine establishment. What a great place to get some great comfort food. Good portions. Get the chicken fried steak. Done to perfection, smothered in white gravy. Tasted great! Came with mashed potatoes that tasted very good as well. Good price.

This is a nice place to eat an awesome breakfast. I ordered the blueberry pancakes and they were delicious and that comes with your choice or sausage or bacon. The waitress that works in the morning is great and makes sure you have extra syrup. I will definitely eat here in the future.

Crazy Gals should be named the nicest gals in this town!!! We had omelets, Biscuits and gravy,, hash browns. We told them we were vegetarians so they gave us bean salad on the house!!! We were so grateful but hold on! We also got a brownie on the house because we were going to be in the road. It’s the thought and care that counts for your guests and we left with hearts full with this generosity. A must visit if you are in town!

Excellent service and food was prompt, hot and delicious. Kids loved the pancakes and Belgian waffles. My over medium eggs were cooked perfectly. Husband had the omlet which he loved as well. Waitress was attentive and sweet and out drinks never ran out. The only thing I'd change is that it is a bit cramped in there but it was also very busy so still gave 5 stars.

Exactly what breakfast at home is like, but better! You truly feel valued and like you've known the establishment for years, the food was very tasty and perfectly cooked. Hash browns are to die for. Reasonable prices and such fun decor!

Drove in from Austin to visit the state park out there. I wanted a cozy diner to get some food at with my friend. This place had good reviews, so we stopped in. My buddy got an amazing french toast breakfast, and I ordered the southwest style burger. The food was fantastic, best burger I've had in years, maybe ever. Misti, our waitress, was super sweet and took good care of us. It seemed a bit lonely in there for her, I hope she had/has a good day. The place is super comforting, like my Grandma's house. I like the painting of the turkeys. :) I'd drive back out there just to go to this cafe again. <33 Hope it stays open for forever.

Great comfort food. We had the breakfast here. It's served all day. French toast and pancakes were pretty good and not to mention, their bacon was crispy. Friendly staff. I'd come back here for breakfast if I'm ever in town.

Arrived around 9am on a Sunday morning and were able to get a table with no wait and prompt service. Asked right away what we’d like to drink. Service prompt and very attentive through our visit. I had scrambled eggs and grits, both of which were prepared as expected. My husband had the Spanish omelet, which he enjoyed although unable to finish as its quite large.

I love this place and am becoming a regular. I gave it 4 stars because that's my highest rating for your average eatery. I don't know how you'd have a 5 star diner in Texas. It would have to be out of this world. Like I wouldn't even give Blue Bonnet's a 4 star just because they don't open til 7. So let's start there. I walk in at 6 to a warm welcome, they have all the breakfast staples and everything tastes good. I love the place. It's also kid friendly. So if you need a hearty breakfast at 6 a.m. in you're in Burnet this is your go to diner. See ya there!

Food was definitely tasty, breakfast taco was big and filling (comes with salsa, which I like), French toast very yummy; service nice and helpful; time from ordering to table delivery was too long (wish I had timed it), we were not in a hurry, so no big deal; but if you are, I wouldn't go there.

Good home cooking, and waitstaff makes you feel like welcome, and is super relaxed and friendly. the chicken fried steaks are huge! And well seasoned. The catfish is really flavored well, better than most. I love the pinto beans and coleslaw that come with it!

Cute little cafe! Wanted to love this place so much but the omellete was aahhh and the wait staff seemed to hate life. I was missing a side dish and when I asked our server, she said "uhhhhh" and walked away. My husband loved his french toast!

Stopped in here for brunch with the family on our way through town, most of the staff was very kind and helpful bit our waitress was extremely impatient and unprofessional towards our daughter who was having trouble deciding what to get. They were out of a couple things, and couldn't do refills on chocolate milk, but that didn't bother us much. Had a decent and affordable breakfast and coffee for our family of 4!

Went there for Saturday morning breakfast. Arrived early. Food was fine, ordered eggs over medium, they came o/easy. That's OK though. Took about 30 min to get our food. Thought that was a little long considering there were only a few people there when we arrived. It did fill up with regulars while we waited. Some got their food before us. Biscuits and gravy were very good.

Great little stop n Burnet for some grub. Ample parking for the RV . We both had breakfast. Servings are big. Very busy a local Favorite.

Overall, it was a good experience. The diner is small but cozy, giving a home-cooked feel. We got the onion ring appetizer, they were handbattered and delish. My daughter got the bacon burger with chips and loved it. Husband got the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. Green beans tasted fresh, mashed potatoes were tasty, and the chicken fried chicken was just good nothing special about it. I had the liver and onions with fried okra and mashed potatoes. Orka was crispy and oh so good, the potatoes I have to agree with my husband were very good, my liver could have been cleaned a little more. As someone who likes liver if its not cleaned properly there is a definite taste difference. It was cooked good and the onions were the perfect caramelization. Overall we'd definitely come back to try some more from this diner.

I've given this place a try a couple of times. Each time we ate breakfast. It was okay but way to EXPENSIVE for what you get. The service is okay and the place is okay. They may do better with lunch and dinner. I will give them another try but I can't recommend them at this point. If that changes, I'll update this review.

The food tasted ok. We got the GRILLED CHICKEN $12.95 and ROAST BEEF PHILLY & CHEESE $13.95. It was kind of disappointing to pay so much for the food and you only get chips with the sandwich and not fries, etc. The sandwiches werent that big and not that much for how much they were. We were expecting a round bun and not a hoigie type bun.

Well, the food left room for improvement. The brown gravy was way too thick and all over my sandwich. One of their air conditioners was not working. Making half the restaurant real hot. Good luck.

Stopped by based on google reviews. They were busy, but not extremely. As we waited for food the waitress never refilled our coffee. We had to ask, like all the other customers. She basically kept complaining that they were busy when reality they weren't the cook may have been. Many customers were told there was a long wait. The food was good, but that was it. Wont be returning.

She asked for a chocolate milk and the taste was absolutely rotten. when i waved over a different waitress i asked “may we get a coke instead cause the chocolate milk-“ and she interrupted and said “bad. i know, i’ll get you a new batch” and i tried telling her we preferred a coke instead she ignored us, walked back to the kitchen and opened a new milk while telling another waitress that we aren’t the first customers to say the milk was bad and brought a new one, it was fresh but why would they continue to serve milk from the same carton they already had been told several times was bad?? so bad i might add that my sister has been throwing up all day. plus i paid $15 for a chicken fried steak that was all breading, 1/6 of it was meat and the rest was breading. everything was way overpriced. this will be the first and last time i eat here. our original waitress was nice but everything else about here was very poor.

I'm not from around here but when we entered we stood up front for a bit without anyone greeting us or acknowledging we had entered the establishment. Finally a few guests let us know we could seat ourselves. Our waitress approached our table almost immediately with 2 menues and returned with the drinks then left immediately. I was finally able to ask if they had kid menus when she returned but they did not so we ordered immediately. She never came back after that. We sat there looking around for 30 plus minutes without refilling our coffee, waters checking on us or anything. Finally another waitress spotted us & came right over with coffee and water. We waited another 10 minutes or so & still no food nor sight of our waitress. The other waitress who had refilled our drinks came back to refill them again and we asked her if she could check on our food. She immediately returned with our food that had obviously been setting in the window for quite some time because it was cold. We mentioned to her that our waitress wasn't doing a good job but we appreciated her helping us out. She was very nice & much appreciated. We had 2 starving children that were ready for their nap so setting there for that long was not going over well with them. We ate our food and then had to go find our waitress and ask for a box and our ticket. I'm not sure if she was doing side work or what was going on but I waited tables for 15 years and I would be embarrassed to treat guests like that. It was probably the worst service I've ever had! I'm not sure if it's normally like that there but I probably won't be back and definitely spoke about it to others.

Crazy Gals Café was okay overall. The service was pretty slow, which made the experience less enjoyable. The food was alright—nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. The staff did their job and were polite, but there wasn’t much engagement beyond that. It’s an average spot; might be fine if you’re not in a hurry.

Waitresses were fighting with each other the whole time. Server got annoyed when we asked for silverware and our neighbor asked for a straw and said nobody better ask them for anything else. Food was overpriced for bad quality. Really was hoping this hole in the wall would be good, but appearances matched the food

This is my first negative review of any place I have visited . When day tripping, I like to eat local. This sounded like it would be a fun place to eat. I was wrong. Most of the tables had not been cleared from pre diners. The floors were dirty. The bathrooms are located across from the kitchen, with the kitchen door open. My friend ordered a turkey sandwich. The meat looked old. My meal was very greasy. the biscuit was dry. The service was terrible. The waitress seemed put out when I asked for some butter.

Hate to write negative reviews but the food was not good. We didnt eat the food. I ordered hash browns with an omelet and I feel they were cooked in old grease. We were sitting at a table with the air conditioning vent below us and it was filthy. Not so good for your appetite! The waitress was not friendly at all. We waited for the check but finally got up and went to register. Disappointed to say the least.

We went in the restaurant, and was immediately told to sit “anywhere”. First girl said ok, then she sent another girl trying to make us move after we were asked our drink order. So we moved. We moved to Mama’s down the road.

The food, atmosphere and the whole place looked great but my family (3 adults, 1 kid, 1 toddler) and I didn’t get a chance to eat. They told us the wait would be a few minutes and we waited about 10 minutes. A family of 3 came in behind us and waited maybe 2 minutes then got sat in a booth that could have seated us. Horrible service, felt offended by this skip, will not be going back.

Always loved eating breakfast here u.til now. Pancakes not cooked all the way so sent back and asked for biscuit and gravy. Cold nasty gravy and biscuits heavy as rocks. I asked if they had a new cook and was told no. When we received check charged for pancakes we had sent back plus gravy and biscuits. They did remove pancakes from bill but had to bring to their attention. Unsure at this point if I would ever come back! Sad since look forward to eating here while in town.

Blueberry pancakes were pretty good, chocolate chip pancake was also tasty. Scrambled eggs looked and tasted like they began life as powder. Crispy bacon actually gets served gummy and half cooked. An older man that works there felt the need to interrupt the waitress while she was taking our order to berate her publicly. The lady at the register was as equally pleasant as the elderly bully, she felt the need to yell back in to the kitchen while cashing us out to complain about being at the register. All I could do at this point was laugh. A word of advice to this cafe, be good at something, have exceptional food, great service, be charming, but to be bad at all of it is just ridiculous.

The name “Crazy Gals” apparently refers to how crazy rude they are. I came in with some friends for takeout coffee in the morning because of “cafe” in the name and was immediately greeted with hostility for no reason seeing as we were all very polite. The coffee was also basically gas station coffee which is fine but it was not what we were expecting. Also I will let this sign that was on the wall speak for itself…. will not be going back

Pretty sure that was the worst tasting breakfast I had in recent memory, couldn’t even eat my second egg. The red tinted oil that was all over the plate was suspicious. Price was outrageous. Cute place. Waitress was sweet. Full transparency. Been to the kingsland restaurant and that was better.

Well, to start with, whom ever answers the phone has no phone skills, and is quite rude. I called to order six (6) "sweet thing tacos". This was a Saturday morning "to go" order. Was ordering to bring breakfast for the people I work with. The "lady that answered the phone was not at all pleasant and not quite yelled hold. Then after a few minutes got back to the phone and I requested to make a to go order. This was about 6:45 AM. She cuts me off and says, "We don't take to go orders on the weekend." i said ok and hung up. I guess business is so good that you can be rude and refuse customers. If that is the case, then I guess they will not care if they have now lost a customer for good. Additionally, I will tell everyone I can, to not go to Crazy Gals Cafe. The response does not matter. You have lost at least one customer. I will attempt to make it many more. It does not change how it was handled or that tone of your people. Again, apparently you don't care about loosing a customer. I hope your business is strong enough to keep loosing customers this way.

Awful experience. Party of five and every single order had something wrong with it. Everyone's bread/toast was burnt and too hard to eat, yet somehow cold. Fries weren't done and soggy. Burgers were insanely overcooked. Sausage wasnt cooked all the way. Missing items on burgers, added random items on other sandwiches, completely wrong meat on one sandwich (that was cold and inedible). They did take off two meals but it was still $75 for food we could barely pick at. Although, the onion rings were delicious, we were the only customers in there and it still took almost an hour to get our food. Very very disappointing.

After being told to sit wherever we’d like, we had to hunt down a waitress for menus. We were finally greeted and our drink order taken. 5 minutes later we got drinks. We’re a party of 5. Finally able to order food. Food took 45 minutes to get to us. Absolutely awful. Chicken sandwich was dry and over seasoned, cheeseburger patty was so tiny so there was barely any meat with each bite, and the biscuits and gravy was cold and stale. And while the waitress was kind, she was clueless as to how to do anything. And it was stupid expensive!

Everything was over priced. Ordered a sirloin steak and I don't know what they brought me but it didn't taste like beef. Order 10oz steak recieved maybe a 6oz Charges on card transactions and refills. Menu states parties over 8 will be charged 15% gratuity. We had a 6 top and where all charged 15%. Would never eat there again.

Food was bad. Way too much butter on the club sandwich. Paid 40 bucks for 2 clubs and 2 teas. No cheese on the clubs and obly 2 slices of bread. Clubs always have cheese and 3 slices of bread. Will not return or recommend.

We have been here multiple times….never been impressed but thought we would give it another chance. We will not be coming back. The wait staff was rude and the food was not good! I’m also not one to share reviews but this one was bad!!

This place has the worst customer service in Texas. We sat waiting for almost 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Then we ordered drinks without having a menu. After deciding we didn't want to eat there I went to pay for the drinks. Tell me why 2 less than 20 oz sodas and 2 less than 16 oz orange juices cost over $18??!!! I highly recommend eating ANYWHERE ELSE!!!! This place doesn't deserve a first glance, much less walking in and sitting down to eat!

My uncle and I, we’re excited to eat here, after a hard day, Work, and he drove in all the way from Houston, Texas to try it out, He ordered the chicken fried steak, it had a bucket load of gravy, and was the most disgusting food he had ever had! Later on, he had actually got sick from eating this, I had french fries, so can’t go wrong on ordering french fries even in a hole in the wall like this. However, he got sick after hitting the bucket load of gravy, chicken fried steak! It looked quite ridiculous. Never come here again!

I’ve only been in this restaurant once, and that was enough. I simply tried to place a to-go order, and was told they don’t allow pickup orders on the weekends. Really? What kind of restaurant makes it harder for people to give them business? Packing food in containers is easier than table service, yet they refuse to do it. The whole interaction came across as unfriendly and unwelcoming. Save yourself the trouble. The Junction Café in Bertram not only has better pancakes, but they’re actually nice to their customers.
