Ristorante nella piazzetta di Caldé dotato di terrazza con vista e di dehor posizionato direttamente a favore di lago. Personale giovane e molto cordiale. I piatti proposti sono ottimi, davvero saporiti e a ottimo prezzo e spesso preparati con materie prime locali. L'unica pecca è che, in caso di locale affollato, è molto probabile dover attendere più del dovuto le portate ordinate, ma c'è anche da dire che se ci si reca a Caldé, ci si va per rilassarsi e dimenticarsi dell'orologio e non c'è nulla di più bello che occupare l'attesa ammirando il meraviglioso paesaggio che si apre davanti ai propri occhi.

Il cibo buono, ma poca organizzazione e una lentezza estrema nel servizio..le cameriere fanno un pó di confusione e per avere il tavolo interviene il proprietario .una birra viene segnata sul conto ma non portata .più di un'ora per avere il piatto.

Il posto è davvero in una location stupenda e il rapporto qualità prezzo non è male. Il problema sono le tempistiche: eravamo in cinque e abbiamo ordinato una insalatona, tra tagliate di Angus con patate e un carpione di trota ma abbiamo letteralmente aspettato due ore per mangiare.. I camerieri facevano del loro meglio ma evidentemente non c'era abbastanza gente in cucina vista la lentezza. La cosa assurda che alla casa due signore che dovevano pagare prima di noi si sono lamentate anche loro per l'attesa e avevano pure sbagliato dei piatti e quello che deduco essere il proprietario anziché scusarsi ha incolpato i camerieri. Gli va bene che sono in un luogo turistico e quindi bene o male la gente va lo stesso ma non lo consiglio.

Siamo passati qui per cena una domenica sera prima di ritornare a Milano, per i prezzi bassi e onesti rispetto al resto dei posti vista lago. Servizio gentile e veloce! Cibo invece in linea coi prezzi, senza infamia e senza lode: fritto misto abbondante ma carciofi surgelati troppo pieni d'olio, branzino saporito, l'insalata mista poco "mista". Purtroppo avevano finito il pesce di lago, ma prevedibile per il weekend di ferragosto. Dessert male, una cheesecake un po' vecchia.

Very nice location on the lakeside of Caldè, a little gem. The quality of the food declines a little every now and then. The prices remain reasonable. Recommended dish: Piadina and hamburger (a word to the wise....). The service has always been dramatic. For years, it's been the slowest on the lake. It seems like they're studying how to make life impossible for the customer. Latest news: the average wait time is 40-60 minutes. But if you ask for even just a plate of cold cuts or a piece of cheese, they tell you it'll go into a queue anyway and they can't bring it to you right away. I recommend it only if you're looking for value for money and location and if you're VERY patient.

Esperienza tremenda. Ci sediamo e veniamo fin subito avvisati che ci sta da attendere 45/50 minuti. Accettiamo la cosa ma mia avremmo pensato che l’attesa sarebbe arrivata a 1 ora e trenta. La cameriere si giustifica che le comanda verranno svolte in ordine, ma è inaccettabile che per una tartare o per una insalata si debba attendere questo tempo. Faccio presente che mia moglie è incinta e di risposta viene servito il tavolo accanto. La location merita, bellissima piazza affacciata sul mare, ma non pranzate/cenate qui. Cibo discreto, ma irrilevante considerata la situazione di disagio. Se avete tempo da perdere, questo è il posto giusto.

Beautiful outdoor terrace and friendly waiters, but we waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for 2 plates of pasta (which were nice but not amazing). There was no warning it would take this long. Luckily the view is beautiful and there are worse places to wait, but we wanted to have a quick lunch so we ended up skipping coffee and dessert since we wanted to move on with our day at the lake. More staff needed urgently! Can't recommend for now.

Normally I don't add reviews, but I need to warn people to avoid this place. The view in nice and food is acceptable, but the service is an utter mess. It took half an hour to get my drink and an hour to get my first course served.

Food isn’t bad, but service was terrible. Maybe cause they were hosting locals the night we stopped in. We had a reservation and it took 45 minutes for fries. It appeared of you weren’t a local that night, you were forgotten about.

Imbarazzante. Domenica a pranzo ordinato alle 13.20 vino e acqua arrivati dopo dieci minuti (35C) piatti arrivati alle h 14:35 per due verdure grigliate e un “tagliere di salumi e formaggio” si veda foto. Oltre un ora di attesa. Ho reclamato l’attesa e al momento di pagare la bellezza di 58€ per due zucchine ho chiesto al Signore alla cassa che era cosciente del mio reclamo se fosse il titolare la risposta è stata “no è mia moglie” ma poco importa. Nel sapere che c era stato un disagio che era anche di altre persone seduti ai tavoli accanto non si è mai preoccupato (il Signore marito della titolare) di uscire ad aiutare la collega nel servizio non si è preoccupato di nulla nemmeno di offrire qualcosa per il disagio. Davvero vergognoso trattare così i clienti assolutamente sconsigliato!

Purtroppo ho solo bevuto perché non ci sono opzioni vegetali. Nel 2025 in un posto turistico frequentato da clientela internazionale mi sembra un po’ assurdo. Aggiornamento dopo una settimana: arrivati di sabato sera verso le 22 ordiniamo 2 birre che con locale pressoché vuoto arrivano dopo 30 minuti. Chiediamo una seconda birra che non è mai arrivata e dopo un’ora andiamo a pagare e sorpresa ls seconda birra era sul conto 🤦🏻‍♀️. Ovviamente è stata stornata. Posto carino ma sembra che dai fastidio quando ti accomodi…

Non andate mai a mangiare al Ristorante Calderone , location super , servizio malissimo abbiamo aspettato tantissimo per le bevande, cameriere, se sono cameriere, maleducate . Cucina pessima, aspettato più di 2 ore , tutto spezzettato. Io dico , sono cuoco da 45 anni , MAI visto una cosa del genere. Lo dico sempre, fate il lavoro che sapete fare . Comunque nn do neanche una stella. Mai più.

Posto che deve solo ringraziare la natura che gli sta intorno. Ci siamo seduti alle 13.40 chiedendo due spritz e un tagliere di salumi e formaggi. Veniamo avvisati che ci sono almeno 40 minuti di attesa, non comprendiamo come possa essere possibile per un tagliere ma comprendiamo e acconsentiamo. Dopo più di un’ora di attesa, alle 14.45, si presenta il cameriere con un fritto misto. Non solo, la cameriera che aveva preso l’ordinazione, anziché scusarsi dell’errore, ci chiede se fossimo sicuri di non averlo ordinato. Ce ne siamo andati, a digiuno e arrabbiati. ISe non siete in grado, cambiate lavoro.

TOURISTS TRAP, AVOID AVOID AVOID. Booked a table for 7. Arrived at 8pm and ordered at half past (which is fine) and then waited 50 minutes for our starters to arrive 🤡. They didn't even came all at once and were more than disappointing. Mine was just 5 cherry tomatoes sliced in 2 and a huge ball of Mozzarella, no oil, no sauce no presentation no nothing. That is pretty upsetting for 11€. By 10pm only one ouf our main courses had arrived, it was already cold so even their microwaving techniques are unsatisfying 🙃. We left at quater past ten because we figured out that the preparation of our main dishes had barely even started and the restaurant was not even crowded.The staff didn't seem to care anyway despite our several sollicitations. A ruined night.

The experience here was so bad. It left a terrible taste in my mouth.. i stewed on writing a review because I don’t normally but felt it important to say. The service was awful. The waitress was foul tempered and rude - and slow slow slow. The food was bland, tasteless and overpriced.. things were wrong on the order and nothing was done about it. This place gives restaurants on lago Maggiore a bad name- a tourist trap?? Perhaps the owners need to assess how they pay and train the staff and from the other reviews it’s clear this is not a one off.. shame because the location is good - caldé is beautiful.. this place is ugly in its spirit though.

Worst food experience I’ve had in years. Dinner on a Tuesday night. Horrible service, wrong platters, no fresh ingredients or (sea)food, and just a really poor taste. Extremely long wait, uninterested staff. I know that in touristic places the expectations beyond just a good location and nice view cannot be too high, but this was really below any (Italian) quality standard. 0/10 recommend, please improve your food.

How arrogant are you?? We arrived at 9pm to have a nice and relaxed dinner. We were really looking forward to as the restaurant was our favourite one in the past years. However, such a kind of unfriendlyness and arrogance we experienced this time I have never faced in any restaurant in the world before. We entered the terrace as usual waiting to be seated. There were several free tables. Very quickly a taller blond waitress arrived. We friendly said "Hello" and asked for a table for two. She was just looking at us or better saying it was a kind of inspecting us and without saying a word and re-checking for availibility of a free table she refused us with a simple "No" and disappeared without any further explanation. Really, we were speachless. We were dressed for dinner, asked friendly for a table and were treated that disrespectful und unfriendly. Unbelievable!
