I just realized Google completely changed my review of this place. It was still a positive review but Google saw fit to rewrite it entirely.

It was GREAT, service was AWESOME, beer was cold...watched MNF great TVs. I'm really happy I've made this one of my new watering holes. Can wait to experience the E.C. location..I understand on Fri. They have live Rock en Espanol 👍👍

I found this place on Google saw some reviews so I thought I might try it out. The food is really good I got to try the aguachiles, shrimp Chipotle taco that sauce is 👌 and had the MOJO de ajo shrimp and also very delicious. All the food I tried was really good. I will be coming back and also the service was fabulous I didn't get the name of our server (was too busy stuffing my face) but whoever he was he was really nice.

We had the garlic shrimp and diablo shrimp and both were excellent. Unassuming exterior, sports bar interior. Great service, food served promptly and perfectly done. Great salsa and lots of additional sauces - both bottled and house made.

Superb atmosphere and a host to match. Service is outstanding our waiter was patient and attentive even suggesting a great dish. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to an amazing meal. Thank you La Resaca!

Stopped by to have lunch after leaving the consulado en Calexico. Food was excellent and Timothy was a great server, friendly and very professional. We had the Agua chiles verdes and wow they were the best I’ve had by far. We will definitely be coming back maybe on a Sunday since we hear they have live music!

Amazing Mexican seafood and beer bar. I’m going to risk to say that this is Sinaloa style seafood. You can close your eyes and point to anything on the menu and it’ll be ridiculously good. Very fair prices. The waitresses are very attentive polite and it’s an overall good vibe. Eat or stop in for a beer if you’re in Calexico. You won’t regret it. Very authentic. Reminded me of when I lived in MX.

Mango Habanero Aguachilie was amazing. Not overpowering with heat, but enough to let you know it's there. The mango was tender, the whole dish was well balanced and the presentation was on point. I like the two ways the shrimp was prepped for the plate as well. It's a wonderful level of detail and love the chef has, and it's appreciated.

Mango Habanero Aguachilie was amazing. Not overpowering with heat, but enough to let you know it's there. The mango was tender, the whole dish was well balanced and the presentation was on point. I like the two ways the shrimp was prepped for the plate as well. It's a wonderful level of detail and love the chef has, and it's appreciated.

Nice place, the food was good very good menú many different choices, I didn't have the chance to try the drinks, the service is excellent, the only problem was the size of the tables, a little bit too small, but if you guys are in the mood for Mexican seafood and some drinks and some music this is your place guys.

They have really good chabelas, the waitresses are always super polite. Only had a couple of items from them, the one thing that is good is their stuffed peppers.

Well the food is very good and the service is ok, the one thing I don't like is the live music, WAY TO LOUD for such a small place, but all and all the food is good.

La Resaca - " The Hangover"-. Fresh sea food. Ask for the "coctel" fuul of shrimps, octopus, oyster, scallop, or you can ask to be filled with your favorite's ones. Not expensive, not cheap.

Visiting from out of town during a Monday Holiday for lunch. I had a good experience. The atmosphere was simple, and the bartender/waitress was friendly. The food was good but their salsa was great. I ordered their Caldo de 7 mares and those who accompanied me ordered tacos and a tostada de ceviche. Would come back again for a quick bite without a super busy wait.

Delicious food! Restaurant was pretty full so the service coulda been faster but we didn't mind so much cuz of the lovely atmosphere.

The sea food here is good. Decent size in their serving 👌. The service was a bit slow. I waited a long time to be seated. The place was pretty much empty.

I was very disappointed in my ceviche de camaron. It was mainly onions and had very little shrimp. Definitely wont be ordering that again. Although the rest of my food was delicious.

Pros : Really delicious, like real mexican food (not mexican-american). Cons: They close now at 7:00 p.m. even knowing that are customers willing to order at least for take-out.

They say they close at 7pm but that’s not true. I stopped by at 6:45 to get some Carme seca but they wouldn’t take my order. The lady who opened the door said they stop taking orders 20 mins before 7pm. It was 6:46pm and I just wanted Carme seca; no deep fried food. Okay well then you should close at 6:30 pm so you don’t have an “unofficial “ closing time like you do now. Why say you’re open but you’re not taking orders; that orettt much means you’re closed already. I’m sure if the owner or the boss was there this wouldn’t happen because you should never turn away a paying customer who wants to give you money during these Covid times. Come on ! Everyone is struggling and you are kicking your customers away , who does that.

Advertised as a "Sea Food Bar", it was far from one. It had really good reviews and we were here from out of town. We sat down and tostadas and salsa were brought to the table. Lady came and right away ask us our drinks we weren't ready and she just left us. When she took out order we got the fried calamari, 2 fish tacos, coctel de Camaron and their version of the Puerto Nuevo Lobster platter. Calamari was good. Coctel was decent. Platter was far from Puerto Nuevos which we frequent and are very familiar with. Fish tacos were soggy and bland. I ate one and couldn't eat the other. The breading was not good. Would we go back...nope! Would we recommend, tampoco.

The food was okay however I find the customer service extremely rude I got a dish that I did not like they tried to charge me for it even though I didn't really eat it only took a couple bites . Then both of the waitresses gave me a dirty look because I said something about it being on the bill when I told them that I didn't like it not only that but after being brought my bill it was costing me and I was told here . I'm sure that they have other things that are good but I know that because of the rude customer service I will not will be but I know that because of the rude customer service I will be returning

Not terrible service, no service at all on a slow Friday night. At least they had the courtesy to say, “thank you for coming,” when we got up and walked out after waiting over 20 minutes for the server.
