So I've been to Vegas clubs but this one was one of the coolest clubs I've ever been to. It's like you're at a club but also watching a VERY well put together show/production of dances/comedy/acrobatics. We had a table/bottle service which was just fine. The server came around often and made sure we constantly had drinks. Didn't try any food here so can't comment on that. Overall a must goto when you're in Cancun.

This revew is for Congo Bar. Such a fun place. Drinks included, the entertainment and dancers were awesome. I went two consecutive nights it had a great time. Thank you to Gaspar, one of the waiters that kept my glass always full. Coco Bongo Bar was to crowded and too expensive. I had to leave the bar just because there was no space.

A place to have a drink in the middle of all the tourists dancing and partying. All you can drink options are available. They're are some very beautiful dancers in the stages. You can see the whole inside of the place from the sidewalk. VIP and bottle service is available. The waiters and security were all really cool guys.

Bastante bueno, nos la pasamos muy bien, el mesero excelente con nuestras bebidas, siento que el precio está bastante aceptable, en general me gustó y lo recomiendo.

Buen lugar, bastante prendido. Mucha música acorde al público de USA, bastante hip hop. Poco reguetón. Pero la pasamos bien.

Excelente ambiente con buenas promociones, en general la atención es buena, pero si eres extranjero ten cuidado con los shots ya que no te informan que tiene un costo extra y después se los quieren cobrar a parte

El ambiente es muy bueno, las bailarinas y animadores hacen bien su trabajo. El costo para ser Cancún ya lo veo normal, la comida era básica, pedimos alitas y papas fritas (no incluidas en lo que se pago por las bebidas) estaban bien, solo muy picosas. El mesero en todo momento nos dio las cervezas, incluso antes de que se nos terminaran, eso si aquí la propina se da por adelantado para un mejor servicio y poder estar sentados, lo único malo es que las mesas las ponen en el centro de la pista y si estorbas al momento de que todos se amontonan, incluso hubo una caída pero no pasó a mayores.

I enjoyed the show overall, but it was way too crowded—probably because I went during spring break. One thing that really took away from the experience was the staff trying to hustle tables at different prices, ranging from $60 to $120. It felt a bit sketchy and took away from the vibe.

The food included in the gold member package is just fries, hot dogs n burgers. Server took care of us properly, most of the night. I do recommend to arrive early and check in before staring time so you can get access as soon as they open and take the better seats. I did not see too much difference between gold member vs first row gold member. I would also recommend to buy tickets in advanced. Good experience.

We paid $47 online, but it's possible to negotiate the price by going to the front. The ticket includes admission, unlimited alcohol and shows galore! Great evening!

The place is very busy after 10:00 pm, great music, but I don’t drink alcoholic beverages, they should have something else besides tonic water.

The place has great music, thats what gives it, its 4 stars but its very very very hot. They play alot of hip hop and current hit songs but they pack the place with people as to where even exiting the place becomes complicated. They dont limit the amount of people they allow inside as long as theyre paying. I would visit this place again. My only suggestion is to wear comfortable clothing and avoid wearing your best clothing since you will walk out drenched in sweat. They also dont have a dress code

You don’t need to spend $100 inside cramped room… I had great time Be it daddy’s, coco bongo, Mandela, the city, every big-name club gets overcrowded. Congo bar is no exception, but its open, it’s not suffocated. That too in $30 USD and we were in, no lengthy line, no hassle. Party songs were grooving, 3-4 dances were at top counter dancing. This whole road was full of nightclub, beats, the bass sound coming from disco ll make you dance. While dancing you can have the view of other nightclubs. Their staff sometimes push who were there for a long time, but we had our drinks, enjoyed for an hour, danced like anything and then went to our hotel. Best $30 spend in the disco.

El lugar tiene buen ambiente y bastante variedad de bebida que te ofrecen ilimitadas por un precio de $800 aprox, el problema es que hay demasiada gente y apenas se puede mover uno para bailar, nosotros estuvimos junto a la barra, pero igual es un relajo pasar por tu bebida, ya que tienen muchas personas por atender y poco personal, el sabor de las bebidas sin pena ni gloria, son muy básicas y simples, la música es variada y muy cambiante, suena entre Reguetón y Hip-hop, va todo tipo de gente. A mí me atendió un mesero muy atento y amable que me ayudaba a pedir mis bebidas ya que no me hacían mucho caso en barra, aunque el resto de personal se ve muy geniudo. Yo me pedí casi puro Ron y tequila, ya que es lo que me gusta y no estaba nada mal. El vodka sabía medio feo. Cuidado con las personas que pasan ofreciendo shots, te van a cobrar $100 POR CADA UNO. Está chido para hechar relajo, beber y bailar, pero apenas si se puede mover uno, todo mundo pasa empujándote.

Mala atención , no tenían ni cubiertos para el apettizer , me trataron de sacar de las mesas todo el rato luego de pagar mi entrada , solo porque estaba sola , muy mala atención /

We ordered pincolada and felt like watered down. Had much better deink else where in cancun. Didn’t like the ambience as much. Drinks are reasonably priced. The place is empty till 10pm. There is a cover for 40$ for a table and 40$ for a open bar all night which is okay if you wanna party all night

It was a great bar to mingle with people. We were there a bit early around 9pm. It got pretty packed around 11pm. The vibes of the place was good. It's a little small tho. My partner and I were at the table first but one of the waiters asked us to leave cause a group was gonna use it even tho there was no reservation at all. The drinks are pretty watered down but still good. Make sure you tip the bartender tho cause if not they'll just entertain other people faster even if you got to the bar first.

They gave us watered down booze...we were not impressed... had to drink straight from bottle to show manager to fix it or give us our 500 back! The show is amazing and party is great... its too bad they thought they had to rip off their customers to maximize profits! You definitely have to purchase premium booze also as regular is freaken gasoline.. we made that mistake in playa at coco bongo

It was ok, but they're constantly trying to rip you off. Not only with extra services. A specific drink at one of the bars cost 140 pesos. They did not accept cards and they did not give me my 60 pesos change back - not even after I asked it and also very clearly gestured it... Then we just left for the great atmosphere and it was sure fun. All in all the open bar night cost me between 120-150 USD. On Friday night it was packed, too much people so we needed to fight for our standing space.

Whack... They hustle you for $65 USD for all you can drink (Bum Juice bottom shelf) then when you tell them you only want to go to drink they tell you $25 per person entry... Only to find out it's not as big as it seems outside... 3 steps 2nd floor** you can't walk cause place is small.. they don't take credit cards so they hope you pay with USD to beat you senseless with the currency exchange... SCAMx1000. Never again

After clarifying that I am not American but Canadian they served me like a regular customer. Before they were ignoring my order and were really unfair. Not really a recommendation if you are white and want to be served equally… Also, one of the servers was very unfriendly putting a “reservation” tag in our table, although we said we had a reservation.

Very loud and very tight, there isn’t much space to stand and the ratio inside is awful. Club was full of dudes and very loud music. You can find tickets as cheap as $35 outside the bar itself but it’s only worth for the drinks. Didn’t love being in there

Si estas pensando venir ni lo hagas! El cobro es de $40 dollars y no puedes tomar lo que tu quieres, cierto alcohol no esta incluido y no puedes usar sus mesas si no tienes reservacion! Las personas que te venden la Entrada no te explican que es lo que puedes tomar, y que lugares puedes ocupar. No lo recomiendo. El lugar es muy pequeño y no vale la pena! 0/0 Los meseros son pesimos, te dicen que te prestan la mesa reservada y cuando llega un extranjero a la mesa te empujan con su codo y te avientan de las mesa que te dieron y te lastiman, no te dicen que ya te muevas solo te avientan como si tú dinero no valiera. Afuera hay demasiadas personas que te intentan convencer de que el lugar es bueno y te ofrecen mucho de beber. Te dicen "te damos los litros y litros de alcohol que quieras". Te dicen que el cover inicial es de 1500 pesos, ingresas pero no te dan mesa, te dicen que la mesa vale 1000 pesos más, pero no cualquier mesa te dan una casi en la puerta del establecimiento. Si quieres una mesa más exclusiva para ti y tus amigos son 3000 pesos mas. Los shots de tequila están en 220. La comida es mala a más no poder. Te venden margaritas, piñas coladas y mojitos sin sabor porque en realidad ese es el objetivo, qué quedes muy muy mal por la cantidad de alcohol que te venden. En este lugar entre más dinero gastas más te divierten, son divertidos mientras más dinero sueltes y sobre todo si es en dolares. Cuando todos estan ya muy tomados intentan cobrarte cosas de mas. Son unos maestros en la estafa. Al final te piden el 25% de propina porque te dicen que ese es su sueldo. Si eres mexicano no te van a tratar bien pero si eres de cualquier otra nacionalidad y se te nota te tratarán como rey. Lo único agradable destacable es el espectáculo y la música, pero honestamente hay muchos otros bares al rededor con mejor trato y más accesibles económicamente. Pésima experiencia, no regresaría ni aunque me pagarán.

Música tipo hip hop la mayoría del tiempo, no se puede bailar a gusto a lo latino. El ambiente no es muy bueno y las meseras intentan hacerse de dinero apostando o jugando. En mi caso no lo recomiendo pero entiendo que depende de gustos. Mucha gente de USA pasaba muy feliz

I honestly never leave bad reviews, but this one needs to be said. Last night my boyfriend and I were walking around Cancun when one of the many reps on the street stopped us to promote Congo Bar. The whole area is full of these people trying to sell you something, which already felt a bit much, but this guy seemed genuine. We wanted to have a fun night out, it’s our first time in Cancun, so we decided to give it a try. He sold us tickets for $35 each and insisted we pay by card, even though I said I’d rather pay cash. He took us to Coco Bongo to make the payment, which made no sense but we trusted him (clearly the two places are obviously connected). The moment we got inside Congo Bar, we realised what a huge scam it was. The place was nothing like what we were promised ,it had a trashy vibe, super loud hip-hop music, and people literally doing drugs in the bathrooms. Within five minutes of walking in, we looked at each other and said “nope.” We went straight to the front to explain the situation and ask for a refund. The staff member said he’d call the manager, so we waited... and waited. Over half an hour later, the manager finally appeared but had no idea what to do. Then they made us wait another 30 minutes for the same rep who scammed us in the first place! When the rep showed up, he started arguing with the manager, saying we shouldn’t get a refund. Honestly, it looked like he was the one in charge, not the manager. Eventually, they told us they “can’t cancel card payments”, which is just ridiculous. Basically, if you pay by card, you’re stuck no matter what happens. They refused to take any responsibility, and there’s no proper way to contact them — no email, no customer service, nothing. So now I’m going through my bank to dispute the payment. Congo Bar is a complete tourist trap. Don’t fall for the street reps, no matter how friendly they seem. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The place is empty even as its being advertised as the congo bongo (real club) in a lot of apps. The waiters are unfriendly and wave back at you when you want to order something. The music is not good and there is no party - no recommendation All in all very disappointing.

Honestly, it’s the worst not only nightclub but a place where I have been in my entire life. 1. Place is way too overcrowded. It’s not just packed every night, it’s OVER packed. Sellers don’t care how many tickets they sold. I doubt that capacity of such a small place is 2,000 people. Even after show ended, they keep selling tickets for just entry, even though it was hard to breath inside because of amount of people in there. 2. If you want to experience something like “throwback to 2005”, go there. Music, shows, vibe are the same as in Las Vegas 20 years ago. I think they haven’t changed their playlist since 2000s. 3. People there are getting buzzed up by cheap alcohol and do NOT behave in a proper way. It’s not “we’re having fun”, it’s more like “we’re going to emergency room in couple minutes” 4. There are WAY TOO MANY stuff members. They go everywhere with a flashlight and you’re literally going to be blind by the end of the show. 5. Alcohol is BAD. Please, if you drink there, do it carefully. Alcohol is cheap. Cocktails are bad. If after reading this you still want to go there, do NOT buy expensive tickets. VIP entrance is the same line inside with just regular tickets. Tables are $70 per person and bottles service(which is really overpriced and very old fashioned comparing to Toronto). Even with a table, people will literally sit on you. You can buy just drink entrance(the cheapest tickets available) and you will have 5 cocktails (EVEN IF YOU ASK FOR WATER IT COUNTS AS ONE COCKTAIL). Considering the fact that alcohol is bad, you will be fine with 5 cocktails ticket. Open bar DOES NOT WORTH IT AT ALL. If you’re in your 40s, definitely don’t waste your time. You have seen the same stuff in your 20s. Exactly the same. If you’re in your 20s, DO NOT EVEN GO. There are no young people and all the music is a throwback to 2000s.

The club is so overrated, and the way they treat the guests is just disgusting. If you buy regular tickets, you'll wait in the queue (and btw on the ticket the check-in time is at 7pm and you have to wait to enter till 8pm or after, standing in a long queue). While waiting in a queue, they will try to trick you into an upgrade for just $200, to get just as bad service as a regular customer, just get to be seated instead of standing through the night. Club itself is just an average or below average, perhaps it was cool back in the 90s with its aesthetics. Show is nothing compared to those you can experience in Europe. We were standing at our table that did not have a "reserved"sign when we came in, when after 2 hours a waiter lady made us leave the table so some other people can take it (some of her friends. Just scandalous, and due to maltreatment we left immediately. The finger food they are offering with the tickets - we haven't gotten any (not that we needed it, but it was advertised as a thing you get). I guess you just need to go and beg for it. Drinks are also provided on a self-service basis at bars, with no visible menu anywhere and are poured into plastic glasses (!!) which is weird for the club of this kind imo. The locals must understand that hospitality is not just waiting for the tips for the pretty sh*tty job, but also provide proper service. The bottom line, save your time and better spend money elsewhere.
