Recensioni di Vivaldi Cantù
Excellent restaurant in the Cantù area, where the location, service, and especially the cuisine are all top-notch. It's hard to find better in the area.
The atmosphere is very refined, charming, and spacious. The waiters are kind and helpful. The pizzas we ordered were really good, with generous toppings. The desserts were equally good: strawberry ice cream and pear and chocolate cake with whipped cream. Really, nothing to complain about. We had a great time! It's a shame it was so hard to find parking.
We went to Vivaldi restaurant in Cantù for a truly enjoyable lunch. We ordered the cuttlefish with peas, cooked with great care and with an authentic flavor. The service was impeccable: the waiter was courteous, attentive, and available throughout the meal. At the end of the meal, to our surprise, Chef Luigi—for his birthday—offered us dessert. A generous and much-appreciated gesture that made the experience even more special. A welcoming restaurant, where cuisine and hospitality go hand in hand. We'll definitely be back!
Very good fish! I really enjoyed it. Congratulations. We ate peppered mussels, Vivaldi fantasia, and the avocado tuna tartare, along with the tuna and spiced mixed salad. Then spaghetti alla chitarra with clams and bottarga; paccheri with shellfish. Spaghetti were very, very good. Then there was the mixed fried fish and tiramisu. 125 with water and coffee, very, very good value.
Pleasant evening. The garden is very cool on these tropical evenings. The pizza is good. The beef tartare is good and accompanied by excellent fries, but according to the menu, it should have been served with an egg. The service, aside from the inconvenience with the tartare, is of good quality.
Business dinner The dishes were well-made but a little standard... nothing that really stood out to me or made me say, wow, it's a great dish. What I ordered was good. I appreciate the clams in the spaghetti... but they could have been better. It's a bit unrelated, but the dish lacks flavor. Anyway, the food was good. The prices were a little high for what they offered.
Bit overpriced but good quality.
We visited the restaurant for dinner. We had the porcini mushroom risotto, which was very good. For drinks, we had water, a spritz, and a Hugo. The Hugo wasn't good at all, while the spritz was nothing to write home about. Next, we tried the crème brulee, which was beautifully presented, but it wasn't creamy at all—it was all in pieces and the flavor was borderline. The tart, however, was beautifully presented and very good. The price/quality ratio was a bit high. The atmosphere was nice and clean, and the young staff was helpful and courteous.
We went out for dinner on Saturday evening with colleagues. We made a reservation for ten people, but two of us didn't show up, and there were eight of us. We had pizza and seafood. We didn't like the pizza, so we asked for spicy oil to make it more palatable. They brought the spicy oil, we put it on one pizza, and they immediately wanted to take it away. We put it on two other pizzas, and they immediately asked to take it away. The mixed fried fish was good, the beer was good, the dessert was good—not much, considering the price was €8. At the end of the evening, we asked for the bill. To everyone's surprise, the first item was a cover charge for 10 people. It's the first time this has happened to us. There were three tables pushed together, two tables couldn't fit eight people, the room wasn't even full, and for eight people, we spent €352.30. As far as I'm concerned, I won't be returning to this place again.
We went there to celebrate my birthday with a dinner, but we were very disappointed. I had pasta with venison ragù, which was certainly good but overpriced. My dad also ordered pasta with fish sauce, but the amount of fish was really small and it was also overpriced. Even the dessert left us shocked: €8 for a lemon sorbet. Perhaps a bit too much. The final bill: a whopping €110 for four starters and three desserts. The quality of the food is good, but the price is ruined by it. I don't know if we'll go back.
A lot of fuss about nothing. A restaurant that's clearly anti-family: we went here with our 10-month-old son, and not only do they not even have car seats (not even the worst fast food restaurant in the provinces has them!), but they even charged us a cover charge for the baby who didn't eat or drink ANYTHING! Average food, tasteless desserts (€8 for a pistachio-flavored cake that tasted like nothing!), extremely slow service, and very high prices. I absolutely don't recommend it! For this kind of price, you should be able to offer worthy service and food to match!
