GROOVY!! This place was beautiful, just excellent through n through the food was top knotch the service was top knotch . My lady and I eat good and had leftovers for around 60 bucks. It's totally worth it if you love a good authentic Mexican cuisine experience, I give it 10 stars ⭐ outta 5 all day. I even took pictures of this awesome sun and moon art piece, it was so awesome.

Love their food and drinks. Staff are always so very friendly. Great deals for daily lunch specials. Fast service as well usually you don't sit in there too long unless you want to enjoy your company.

Good service smiling faces this restaurant is busy on a Friday night 15min wait but it was worth it ! My food was cooked per my request and delicious. The prices are compared to most cantinas.

Good food decent pricing. Chips and dip are good. We got the super burrito and cheese burritos. Bar area allows indoor smoking.

This is a very popular Mexican restaurant here in South Boston VA. The atmosphere is excellent, and the service is great most of the time, (every one has an off day now and then). We stopped in for lunch while out shopping. Their salsa is one of the best ones I have had in the Virginia area, and it's hard to not fill up on the chips and salsa. Hubby had the Birria taco plate which has 3 tacos, and cilantro rice for $17.99, and I opted for the choose 3 lunch combo plate with a cheese enchilada, tamale, and challupa (tostado) which is $14.95, M-F, and $1 more on Sat & Sun. They also offer vegetarian combo meals. The food here is always good, and I usually have to get a doggie bag (darn those yummy chips and salsa 😉). The restaurant has a smoking section which is crazy in this new non smoking world, but I personally think it's awesome. They have a nice bar area, and although I have not tried their margaritas, I hear they are awesome. We have been coming here for years, and will continue to dine here in the future.

Mi Carreta (My Wagon) Mexican Grill has a grand look to it. The whole place has a cool motif going on, both inside and out. The chips came with a standard salsa and white sauce (not a fan), it was like a ranch mayonnaise dip. I ordered Arroz Con Pollo, which wasn't the traditional Mexican dish nor the typical local basic ACP. It was a hybrid of the two, which is an upgrade from the latter. The onions, mushrooms, and mole sauce add much needed flavor. I ate the dish on flour tortillas topped with some black beans and homemade hot sauce, it was an excellent combination. Overall my Mi Carreta experience was very good. Neat building, clean bathrooms, nice staff, and great food. I will return.

Extremely bland, the food was colder than the plate when they brought it out. Legit the plate was untouchable and the food was lukewarm at best. Overpriced for the meagear amount of food I got as well. Not to mention they sat the hot plate down on the edge of the table when the space in front me was open, so I then had to find a way to move it. I left most of my food it just wasn't worth even eating honestly. The chips were great though.

Overpriced with small portions nothing like spending good money and you're still hungry! Btw beans and rice are cheap so whoever owns this restaurant

We have been to this restaurant many times , the food is great and have not had a poor waitress before this evening. We have never been treated so poorly by this waitress. Don’t think that we can not understand the language! We will probably not return!

This place has really gone downhill in terms of service. You wait forever to be served and then when you finally are they take forever to come back. Used to be a great place but not anymore.

Can you please make sure yr waitresses, waiters know the menu instead of arguing with customers that an item can’t be made! My daughter asked for a taco salad with the protein being chorizo sausage… The waitress said they can’t do that! They don’t really speak their minds like me, so I called over to the place & spoke to a manager that said yes of course we can do that! But of course no I’ll talk to my crew, I apologize for the inconvenience….nothing! But it’s all good cause I was disappointed the last time as well with the service.. we just won’t be back! But again, you need to get everybody on the same page!
