We had a very nice meal in this wonderful restaurant. Loved the entrance where the bottles of wine on display promise a good evening. Food was beautiful, we loved the octopus, the oxtail and the beef tataki. The t-bone is also impressive though be careful as they seem to have a diffferent definition of medium rare than most other restaurants; was a bit more rare than expected (though still very nice!). Great wines by the glass also at very decent prices.

The place itself is grand, located in an old mansion, they also have a very cute terrace. Nice wine list, with a knowledgeable sommelier, even if it could be slightly extended into newer wineries. Food was good, especially the suckling pig, but we were kind of surprised that no side dish was included in the rather high price. Professional service. A very good stop while in Rioja region.

Great place for traditional, high quality Spanish food. The food was absolutely delicious with a beautiful presentation. The staff is friendly and their service is truly outstanding. We got a private tour of their wine cellar, they have over 500 wines to pick from. It's a must if you are in the area.

My husband and i loved everything that we ordered from the menu and the specials they offered. Id recommend the mushroom ravioli, calamari, tbone meatballs and beef cheeks cause thats what we had and they were all amazing. Every single thing was perfect for us and we genuinely feel that it was the best dining experience we’ve had. They have their own wine sommelier that will help you with your wine selection that will best suit your dinner options. Truly happy to have chosen this restaurant by chance and now it’ll be that one restaurant we’ll always talk about

La Rioja is fortunate to have this place; just a few minutes drive away from Logroño in the heart of historic Casalarreina. Food is stunning and well known for its great wine selection… But how did I get here? The first time was covering a wedding in La Rioja, the event celebration was hosted at La Vieja Bodega and the magic of the place took over the whole atmosphere of the event. We were breathing Rioja, wine, history, flavours, traditions, and the new cuisine of this fabulous team at Casalareina. Their welcome “como en casa, siéntete como en casa” (at home, feel yourself at home) becomes immediately into a reality, their dedication to making you feel at home is diligent, friendly and with the utmost respect for your satisfaction. The second time at this place was along an incredible journey because of their owners’ heart welcoming of my work-related interest in La Rioja. The experience was unforgettable, the connection whit their passion for food, wines and history became the driver of this fabulous culinary experience. My tasting menu was a discovery experience. The flavours, sequence, presentation and matching with the wine had a very big impact on me. Please, don’t miss, when in La Rioja, getting to this place. The food, staff, and décor were all fantastic however, the sommelier Ivan was what made the experience unforgettable. His passion for his job, the large wine cellar and his friendly and caring work with us not only resulted in amazing wines but in an unforgettable experience. What an amazing evening.

They have a great selection of food and wine and always cooked and seasoned perfectly.Our meal on this occasion was over £100 per person but only because we had a really expensive bottle of wine. You could have a great meal for well under £100 each.

After eating Michelin star the night before La Vieja certainly held its own. The food was excellent, the wine list superb (and price exceedingly well), and service was great.

We ate lunch here and enjoyed the food. They also had special dishes not listed in the menu. I reccommend the white chocolate dessert! It was amazing. Gema was a very hospitable and kind manager. We will be back!
