Excellent food, very helpful staff, excellent value. Recommended.
A unique experience, we tried everything there was to try and every dish was better than the last! The tagliatelle with hare ragù was sensational, the lamb chops and suckling pig were unparalleled! And the cured meats... we can't wait to go back, very soon!!! And the price was FAIR, to say the least, with everything we ate and drank, we almost feel guilty!!! Thanks for everything 🙏🏼
This restaurant is truly one of my absolute favorites in the province of Varese. Every dish we tasted was exquisite and carefully prepared. You can immediately taste the freshness of the ingredients and the excellence of the cuisine. The atmosphere is simple and welcoming, like a true trattoria. The location is enriched by hanging antiques that give it a truly unique touch of personality and warmth. The staff is kind and attentive, helping to make the overall experience relaxing and enjoyable. If you're looking for excellent, authentic cuisine, you've found the right place.
This trattoria restaurant adopts my favorite service and menu format. Upon entry, you're greeted with a smile and courtesy, and escorted to your table, where we find two beautiful platters of lard, pancetta, salami, and coppa. On the plates, a mix of excellent and delicate pickled vegetables, a basket of bread, and a plate of focaccia cut into squares. We ask for the house red wine; unfortunately, it's cold, but it's still good. For the first course, the chef and manager, Vittorio (I imagine), offers three options directly at the table: pappardelle with hare sauce, tagliatelle with mushrooms, and crepes with zucchini flowers. We choose the first two... What can I say, excellent. For the second courses, the same procedure with an additional option: polenta and venison, polenta and mushrooms, polenta and rabbit, or lamb chops with roast potatoes and sautéed spinach... How could we not try all four (since there are four of us at the table). The roast rabbit was exquisite; although roasted, it can be a bit stringy, but it's actually soft and slightly moist. Delicious venison and mushrooms, and perfectly cooked ribs... "a butter." For dessert, you could choose from tart, bread cake, Bavarian cream with persimmon cream, pears in brachetto... The only glutton at the table opted for the Bavarian cream. The location is welcoming, warm, pleasantly and delicately rustic. Impeccable service, it's a place worth saving for your address book.
We visited this restaurant for the first time in March of this year, by chance, and fell in love with it, so much so that we chose it as the venue for our triplets' confirmation, and that was exactly what happened last week. The restaurant is rustic and welcoming, exuding a warm atmosphere. The food is excellent: we trusted the chef, who offered us a full menu of exquisite traditional dishes. The meats were excellent, truly top-notch, as were the mushroom risotto and homemade pasta. Instead of the usual cake, he offered us a Bavarian cream with fruit, very spectacular, accompanied by a truly high-quality sbrisolona. Excellent value. The end result: everyone was thrilled, and we'll definitely be back!
Great food, lovely atmosphere & good price. Plus they allow dogs. What more can you ask for?
I visited here for lunch with 5 friends + 2 dogs. The starter of various sliced meats was extremely good. Each person chose a different main meal. All meals were of exceptional quality and very particular local ingredients. A super dining ambient. If you are in the area don't miss out on this possibility to experience exceptional food by this chef.
A sober but welcoming place. You must book. Fixed menu. Sparkling and still water on the table. As soon as you enter for dinner, it opens at 2000, on the table there is a splendid mixed cold cuts. Each guest has a plate containing some delicacies. Then the chef offers his dishes to choose from. I must say that everything is very good.
Vittorio is a MUST visit! Excellent food and atmosphere and interesting chats!
A real Italian cuisine restaurant. What a lovely food.
A welcoming restaurant surrounded by greenery and the tranquility typical of small villages. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and polite. Ample parking with a disabled entrance, sports fields, and a small playground for the little ones are available. Traditional Italian cuisine, fresh homemade pasta, and high-quality, seasonal produce. Excellent selection of cured meats, and exquisite ragùs by chef Vittorio. The game is a must-try. Oh, and let's not forget the fabulous risottos. Fair prices and generous portions, highly recommended.
Real good food. The chef explained all the dishes and it wasn't expensive. Best value for money I've ever had.

This was our first visit to this trattoria-style restaurant, which offers service directly from the chef and owner, Vittorio. We started with two platters of lard, pancetta, salami, and coppa; the plates included a mix of pickled vegetables, a basket of bread, a plate of sliced focaccia, and a basket of tangerines. The same went for the first courses. We opted for pappardelle with hare sauce and tagliatelle with truffle. For the second courses, the same procedure was followed: suckling pig and sliced beef with roast potatoes and chicory. For dessert, we chose a cherry jam tart and a Bavarian cream with berry cream. A welcoming, warm, and rustic location. I highly recommend it!
We had a lovely meal at Ristorante Le Ruote. The portions were just right, neither too large nor too small, and the fixed price, which includes drinks, was truly affordable. The restaurant is uniquely decorated, with old tools that create a rustic, welcoming atmosphere. The manager who also served us seemed a little tired, but despite this, she was kind and courteous. It's a simple place, ideal for spending time with friends, knowing you'll eat well without spending too much. I recommend it!
Very satisfied. We had a great time, with very fresh ingredients and artisanal pasta. The tagliolini with hare sauce were remarkable, along with good cold cuts, including an excellent lard. A wide selection of wines. The service was also excellent, attentive and helpful. The setting was very charming and clean, with antique utensils on the walls, reminiscent of a forgotten past. Suitable for families with children, who can play outside safely and in full view during lunch. Congratulations!
The food was decent quality, nothing exceptional but nothing bad either, except for the slightly tough cut of steak. The problem was everything else. They have a menu on both TheFork and their website, which isn't followed at all. Once seated at the table, they began serving us dishes we had never ordered, and when asked for an explanation, the answer was "today the menu is fixed (no one warned us of this, no one told us which dishes would arrive, nor especially the cost). Unconvinced but now forced by the time to stay, we decided to continue and accept this mandatory fixed-price menu. The food was abundant, very obviously prepared in advance and already ready to be served. Even though none of the diners had any intention of "gorging themselves," requests for smaller or smaller portions were not granted, having to accept kilos of food waste. The service was terrible; the waiters didn't even know what dishes they were bringing. In short, in the end the bill was €40 per person, despite some people having consumed less than half of the dishes served. The bill was a post-it-style note, with a figure written on it, without knowing what you were paying for. It's a disgrace; no one even bothered to apologize for the obvious discomfort caused.
