This Carl's Jr had the best onion rings I have ever had at a fast food joint. The western bacon I ordered actually looked like the photo and the taste was great too- they served us fresh food.

Been going here since I was a kid. Food is always good, fresh. Ever since covid 19, it seems like not a lot of people work there now. I saw only 3 people but they were super quick! Service is great! Thank you guys! I work at fast food so I get how tough it can be having less staff.

First time ever being in California today. And decided to take a break from the crazy traffic. This place was absolutely slammed tonight. Its a Friday evening on Labor day weekend. The insanity of the freeway 5 North, spilled over to this exit. Seemed like everyone had the same idea & decided to get a burger. I waited in line & people in front of me left & people behind me left because of how crowded it was. I watched Christian & his co-workers run non-stop. Despite the chaos of all the customers, Christian was working the front registers & taking everyone's orders, as well as packaging up everyone's food. He kept his cool, remained professional, & did a phenomenal job. After the very long wait - not because of anything to do with the restaurant itself, we finally got our burgers & fries. They were spot on & tasted great. Thanks for being awesome Christian! I hope your recognized for an excellent job!

Hi, I ordered a super star combo w cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle without any condiments. I also got an order of onion rings plus a pack of cookies for 99 cents! I got just what I ordered and my meal was delicious! Kudos the the staff for getting it right! I don't live in the area. I'm a tourist from San Diego visiting up here in God's country for the Labor Day weekend, but, I give Kudos to the owner, manager, and staff for a clean, efficient, and effective operation! 💯✔️🔥😃

Was super hungry from a long day of working. Had no chance to figure out a sit down location that is fast for me to go with the drive thru. I was able to get the double famous star burger with large French fries and a fresh lemonade. The service was real quick. There is a lot of parking available. I don’t usually eat fast food but I needed a good place. They also have a lot of specials and also download the app.

Wasn't the biggest fan of Carl's Jr till I visited here. The lady serving us was super fun and friendly and made the whole experience more enjoyable even though it was quite late at night. The burger and fries were great too. Would definitely come here again.

This has been one of my most favorite restaurants, and this particular one..did everything perfect great customer service and food prep ..it was enjoyable in everyway.

I may be judging based off the high standards of Carl's Jr near my home but I just wasn't impressed despite everything being decent.

Decided to stop on my road trip north for a quick burger and I could not be happier! The famous star lives up to its name. Definitely a flavorful burger with fresh vegetables on it. A great way to start off the trip.

Bathrooms needed to be cleaned. But they have nice doors that provide nice privacy. But the stalls are narrow and no purse hooks. The famous star with cheese was very tasty and we also got a plain patty for our dog he gave the patty 5 stars.

We had the 2 for $4.50 deal & the #16 (the spicy chicken sandwich and double cheeseburger). We got the burrito and the biscuit sandwich as part of the 2. And mine came with the sandwiches and a small fries and drink. All of it coming up at $11. Wished the chicken had a lil bit more spice, great customer service.

At the upper tip of what I consider the heart of Castaic since just "below" lies the hub of businesses and intersections of traffic, this restaurant delivers the hearty and delicious that is Carl's Jr/The Green Burrito brand of food as it is known. So, good location. The product remains outstanding. I expected more from the staff, but they were not terrible!

There's a funny story to this Carls Jr. I like this store better than most others for this reason. You see, back when my buddy (my little dog) was alive, I'd take him on hikes in town. We'd go for 5-10 mile hikes, then we'd head to Carls Jr for dinner. My little guy would sometimes be beat, but when he saw where we were going, his head would pop up and his tail would wag! We'd eat out on the patio. I'd bring him some lukewarm water - the staff would give me a small bowl to put the water in. At first, I would give him cold water, but I found out it upset his stomach, so I gave him lukewarm water and it worked perfectly. I'd order burgers for both of us. He'd patiently wait on the patio for me - he was such an awesome dog! I'd bring him his bowl of water first - though we had water on our hikes, I think he liked having a drink before eating. He loved having a burger - make that I loved having a burger with my buddy! Just writing this brings back memories! This review is for you "Buddy Boy" - that's not his real name, but I called him that and I think he liked it! This is my special Carl's Jr.

I’m giving it 4 stars. Only because 1 cashier is amazing. His customer service is top notch. He’s the guy with the black cross earrings, I am not great with names. But the manager and the other cashier I encountered made me want to rate it 1 star. Not only did the other cashier ignore my existence until a manger was kind enough to ask me if I needed help. But when I asked for more ranch she instructed that same cashier to lie to my face and say they were out. (The ranch was in plain sight). Won’t be going there again but I do want I give a shout-out to the dude with the cross earrings. You’re amazing, keep that energy up and honestly you’re too good for that place. Find somewhere you’re appreciated. Edit. Let me add the fact that the manager instructed the cashier to lie to me in Spanish. Just because I spoke to them in only English when ordering. Maybe some future advise, please instruct your staff to be more careful about when they try to lie to someone. Just because someone speaks English to you doesn’t mean they aren’t bilingual.

A location immediately off the 5. The restaurant is large and spacious and also has a patio with seats. The women’s bathroom was obviously well used with full bins and one stall out of order, but it smelled okay and things functioned. As for the food, we ordered fast and had food in 5 minutes. Everything was hot, fresh, tasty, and correct. My charbroiled chicken club had a perfectly cooked chicken breast and the fried zucchini were a rare treat for me. My husband’s hamburger combo with fries were fine.

Burger was decent. Didn't care for the chicken tenders and the honey mustard is more yellow mustardy tasting than honey mustard tasting.

It was clean, the bathroom were clean as well. The staff is friendly. But the food wasn't that great it tasted like they borrowed McDonald's beef patties and semi charbroil them.

It's Carl's Jr. Their quality control has been declining for years. Pay more get less unfortunately because they have a good menu, but the food is assembled terribly.

It's ok. Fast food is over priced and not very good. I purchase for a housebound individual. However, it brings happiness to someone that is unable to visit on their own. For the same money - or in some cases less, better food can be had elsewhere. Sorry Carl's.

The customer service was wonderful. The workers would come by and ask how everything was for us. The food was great as well. None of the workers were incompetent either. All I would suggest is that they keep an eye on the booth next to patio door seeing as it is an accessible entry for ants. I'm from Washington and I enjoyed the service they provided us.

This location is merely okay. If it weren't the closest to my home, I would never come in here. I've eaten a lot of Carl's over the years and while the menu here is the same, the food is drier, less saucy, stale, or something every time. The staff is fine, cleanliness is okay, etc. I don't have a lot of real positive remarks, but nothing terribly negative either. It's just different. If you have the time, go to the one on Newhall Ranch instead...it's remarkably better in every way.

Its a regular fast food place. The wait was regular and the place seemed pretty clean. Would go there again. Its also close to a skate park/park. So after people are done they can get a bite to eat.

This place is a HOLE! Dirty and rundown. They crank top 40 music at an obnoxious level. The bathrooms are riddled with grafitti and badly worn down. The food was at least decent and service was okay. Service was relatively fast.

Usually Carl's you can get a good char broiled hamburger. Well no, this one let me down. The burger was over done actually charcoal on the edges. Management I suspect is not good.

This Carls Jr. has become completely disgusting. I've lived in Castaic essentially my entire life and I've slowly watched this Carls Jr degrade due to lack of care from staff/management. Don't go here, go to one of the local Joints like Mikes Diner, or Tommie's. This place is not worth your time or money.

Got my kids order wrong at drive through figured what the heck I'll eat it. So I went inside and ordered again in person and that one was wrong also. Nothing special, just plain hamburger for my toddler, twice I got a cheeseburger with pickles. I had ordered a milk shake and they handed me a chocolate milk. The fries and chicken tenders were stale, service was slow. I wont be stopping here again. Carl's Jr is good food, just not from this one.

Your customer service is very poor in this store mostly your up front management team. I waited 8 minutes to place my order, the manager was up front he never turned around to look at his counter that was 3 feet behind. Your managers in this store are very unfriendly. The place is clean, service is very slow even at slow times. Slow at counter slower to get food. If the food at MacDonalds next door was better I’d go there. I think I’ll find a new place to go.

I went through the drive-thru and ordered a burger and two kids meals. I got my order abs went to the parking lot to feed my kids and noticed I only had one kids meal. I had to go back through the drive-thru and wait in line for them to tell me they only charged me for one kids meal. I would've checked, but they gave me the two kids drinks, so I assumed they got my order correct. Whoever took my order knew that I ordered two meals.

I just purchased spicy chickens and a hamburger with 2 medium fries to go. I didn’t get the fries and no way to comeback. They have to make sure everything is inside the bag.

My visit to this Carl's Jr was very disappointing, our food was cold, the cheese wasn't even melted on the burgers, everything was just thrown together with no care at all. All of the employees seemed to be down and not at all happy to be there and for 2 burger combos it was almost $30.00! I would steer clear of this Carl's Jr, at the rate they are going they won't be around long. Huge Fail 👎

See, no offence, the food was amazing but the staff was clearly un professional. 🙄 They changed my order with someone else. We did dine in and they gave us food in the bag to go. Plus they didn't show any courtesy to give us the different food what other people took. I needed to tell them that please change my burger because you gave my bag of food to other people and they have opened it.

Went thru the drive thru and the woman taking my order was actively getting my order wrong. All I wanted was a double famous star PLAIN . Meat cheese bun and ketchup and a coke. No fries. She tells me my total is $ 21.53. I ask why if the meal is only $15 and I don’t want fries. She proceeds to give me the worst attitude and repeats my order incorrectly. I correct her and she tells me I AM WRONG . That that was not what I ordered! I laughed and moved up. My new total is $13. And she sounds pretty mad. I have no idea if I can trust my food now. Good grief

Food is horrible and only a few speak English. They always get my orders wrong and then refuse to fix it. Save your money and time and don't come here

With I could put 0 stars. They have no signage on the building anywhere to alert customers to the dining area being closed in ignored us standing there. Didn't even have the courtesy to get up and tell us that the dining Rea was closed. This is very poor customer service and yall should be ashamed.

They don't even deserve 1 star. We went in to dine in and no one was at counter cashier never showed up. We asked for help and was ignored for 10 minutes! Other people left and we left too. They were only helping drive thru. There was 6 people on stagf and they were not busy to warrant getting ignored.

I would give no stars but I had to select one to make my comment public. They deserve to be close. They mess up my order. I got food poison as well as my mom and my son. Green burrito was closed their was no sauces such as ketchup ranch new promo chicken sandwich was only in small and med. They were out of several items would have spent more if they had full menu my family had to drive to another restaurant to get something to eat

Beware of these crooks. You are charged a different price than what is displayed behind the counter. When I confronted them they played it off, saying" they must have changed the price and not changed the board". Check your receipt carefully and don't use a card!

Wow the closing shift tonight really sucked. The drive thru lady was very rude and my food was not fresh. The burger was cold and dry/hard, my fries were cold and my drink was all carbonation no flavor. Ugh. These people must hate their job.

Don’t come here. The employees first language is not English, and they have a very on hard time understanding that I wanted a number one with cheese. They totally screwed up my order, and then gave it to me cold. When I went to explain the problem...I had to explain in half Spanish what the problem was because they didn’t understand me in English.

The woman at the counter refused to give me any napkins when I told her the hand dryer was not working. She said she would not give them to me to dry my hands because they didn't have enough. We were paying customers. After I told my husband, he went in and asked for napkins, and they gave him a huge stack of napkins. Idk what that lady's problem was but all I needed was a single napkin.

Worst Carl's jr I've ever been to. Out of cups for drinks no ranch still put tomatoes on my burger that I asked to not have. They had really bad customer service. Soda machine was out of ice and when we asked for ice they kept putting us off and ignoring our request. When giving out the orders they gave you two napkins for an order that had five combos.

Tried to order twice through Postmates, and both times, they never filled the order and never answered the phone when I called to ask what the problem was.

I used to come here rather often but now this place is a joke. The staff have an attitude and steal money by adding extra price to your receipt. How do they do that? Well, they have their ways. Let's say you buy 9 chicken stars. Instead of selling you 9 they sell you 6 and +1 +1 +1, so it costs much more. The manager is rude and doesn't care or maybe is a part of the scam. So be careful and check everything if you risk to come here!

We went thru drive through this morning. This drive thru uses a computer to take our order. We ordered 2 loaded breakfast burritos, and side off egg for our puppy. After leaving they also charged us extra egg for both burritos for an extra $3. Now let's get to the burritos. How do you make the same burrito twice in a row but make them both different. One burrito was made correctly, mine on the other hand was missing the sausage and hashbrown, and was half the size as the other. Also extra egg? Where? Barely had any egg in it. AVOID!!!! UNLESS YOU LIKE PAYING MORE FOR LESS.

This lady didnt want to give us more than 2 ranches for 3 combo meals and the chocolate shakes have a drip of chocolate in them taste more like vanilla would recommend driving past going somewhere else to get your monies worth.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. All 4 stalls in the bathroom had no toilet paper and urine all over the floors. The dining room was littered with trash. They gave our order to someone else, we waited for 20 minutes and then we got our order and the chicken tenders were so burnt they were almost black and tasted like ash. I've never had such a bad experience anywhere but I would not suggest this place to anyone. If you're desperate getting off the I5, there's a McDonalds not too far from there that's by the I5 N entrance. *edit to add that with the uncleanliness of the store, there were quite a few employees just standing around.

Worst place. The bathrooms were so thrashed, no soap, couldn't dry my hands, the wait was long even though there was no line, food wasn't good and then the soda machine was out of the only drink we get. I've had Carl's Jr before in my city and had no problems. This was a pitstop and was horrible.

Employees were rude and obnoxious while manager stood there talking to another off the clock employee instead of trying to help us. Then there was corporate management there ignoring our complaint about unsatisfactory drinks and ordered soft drinks from a cooler not the fountain, guess I should of followed suit! Food was good but service and attention to our complaint was not even close to standard!!!!

Employee refused to let me use the bathroom and I expressed that i really need to use the bathroom told me no that they were closed. The bathroom was being cleaned. He wouldn't let me use the other bathroom but told me to walk across to the gas station. 45 mins to closing and I was in need of the bathroom. I will never buy food at this site again because of this rudeness from an employee. I was a customer.....

I KNOW YOU’RE HUNGRY but don’t. I ordered grilled steak burrito and got a slop burrito. No thanks, I reordered a western bacon cheeseburger.... that s was dry as f. I spent $40 for my group and left unhappy and full of regret. Don’t make the same mistake we did, if I can convince one person to save themselves, I will feel redeemed. Employees were cool.

This place is terrible. I believe they don't even try because they are frequented by travelers passing through. I live in the area with very few food choices. After giving this place a couple of opportunities, I quit! I would rather go hungry than purchase their overpriced, slapped together, cold fries, old lettuce, never looks like the picture food items. If you happen to be driving by this place, do yourself a favor and just drive past.

Had to wait forever for our order at the drive through even though no one else was there. When we got back on the road, we discovered that the large order of curly fries had about six fries in the bag for nearly five bucks. The fries and two small burgers were just under twenty dollars!!!

I purchased a medium size combo and I received a small combo with small drinks and small fries through the drive-through and when I mention it to the cashier, she said all the combos are small by default. I went back to check if this was true and she was wrong combo or medium size on the list price. I went inside to talk to the manager and she was so busy after 10 minutes. I just left very disappointed, hopefully this gets to costumer support and I get a refund

I ordered a Beyond Famous Burger, no cheese/mayo from the drive thru. I received a regular Famous Star. I went inside to tell them about their mistake and made another one. No apology was given. The new burger ended up having mayo! Simple instructions cannot be followed. I won’t be coming here anymore.

I usually don't have any bad reviews but oh my goodness! Honestly a one star more like a negative star should be added to reviews. Fries served that sat in the warmer for so long and food were more microwaved or preheated. The ladies bathroom was so gross. My husband was given the wrong order. My order was all wrong. The lady that took my order was not really listening to what I was ordering. To all the Carls Jr restaurant I have ever been to 31412 Ridge Route Castaic, CA Is the worst. I would not recommend stopping at this fast food place. Even though its an easy access and the only fast food restaurant when getting off the freeway I would recommend going to the other fast food place in the area if you are stopping in this town. Yikes!

Food wasn’t prepared fresh. Everything tasted frozen. I’m under no delusion food is frozen at fast food restaurants, but this was past its expiry. Fries came out cold. Paying upwards of $40 for 3 lunch’s at that quality is highway robbery. Workers at the register were all wearing headsets and none of them could pay full attention to the diners in the dining room.
