Chicken fried steak was delicious. I got the 1/2 order and that was to much. I got three plates. 1 had chicken fried steak, another one had biscuits and gravy and another plate had eggs and hash browns. Huge servings. The staff was especially friends. I highly recommend this place and will be back. That was my 1st time.

Delicious, old school dining. I highly recommend the Country Fried Steak. Do the 1/2 if you're hungry. Do the whole if you are huge and STARVING. Hand made not frozen. Very large portions. Delicious food. Excellent service.

Quaint little "hole in the wall" restaurant that the atmosphere gives the impression of eating at home or a family members house! We were greeted immediately upon entering and the staff was awesome! You really feel like it's just a big family and you are actually a part of it. Our waitress stayed right on top of us, and did so without being a nuisance in any way at all. This was my first visit here, my cousin treated me, but I'll definitely be going back! I can't say enough about it! Staff was excellent, did was DELISH and portions were H U G E!!! Hands down the best place I've been to in quite some time!!! ☺️☺️☺️☺️

Loved it here. Big breakfasts great tasting food, Fast service, even if line,it goes quick. Well worth any wait. Try 1/2 order of chkn.fried steak or a whole if you dare!!! Love to bring a friend who hasn't been there before.

About eight of us went there after church, it's just down the street from us. The food is always excellent, the chicken fried steak is beyond belief. The Waitresses are more like friends they always remember us. Love this place

Dining decor is very inviting and seating is very comfortable. Food taste great and servings are large. I'm a light breakfast eater, so pancakes or biscuits and gravy with coffee would suffice. I walked out of here stuffed. For most of us, you won't leave hungry after you eat here. I recommend this place to everyone.

Always love eating at Sam's. Everyone is friendly, great food and service. Strawberry Pancakes, Chili Burger with Tots, Vegetable Omelette would recommend them all. Haven't ever had anything that I didn't like.

OMG why didn't I know about this gem. My Daughter told me they served great burritos and she was so right. It's going to be one of my favorite breakfast places. I couldn't find one thing wrong with the place. Courteous and fast clerks. Clean restaurant with a wide selection menu. So glad I tried it. Very pleasant experience. All I can say is "Thanx Sam" and all that work there. Keep up the good work.

Food was good and plenty of it. I had eggs, sausage and country potatoes. My friend had garbage omelet, country potatoes and pancake. All the food was good and served hot. Large portions, huge pancake. Coffee was fresh and hot. Everyone was friendly. The restaurant was clean.

I found my new place or chicken fried steak beside Chubby's diner it is well worth the forty-five minute drive. The portions of great the service is amazing in the staff are very friendly and attentive the prices are amazing. Be forwarned. I'd call before driving. You may be waiting 30 minutes outside because it's so packed.

4-21-2025 I had the corned beef hash breakfast today and it was delicious! 6-23-2023 I can’t say enough about how good the food really is here! I ordered a Denver Omelette with country potatoes and a biscuit with gravy. I also had a side of corned beef hash which was so delicious. For my beverages I had black coffee, large orange juice and ice water. Prices here are really good too. I ordered the full order of chicken fried steak three eggs scrambled. I had country potatoes and a biscuit with gravy. The country potatoes were well seasoned and very delicious. The portions were huge!! Just the way I like it. The biscuit and gravy past the breakfast test. The gravy had good flavor and exceeded my expectations. I had a cup of black coffee and orange juice. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely be back.

Perfect little diner, great food, home style friendly staff. I go here rarely because I'm always either broke or it's too late in the day but it's always delicious and the staff are people you could hang out with. The Woman, who I think is the owner, has commented on both breast cancer awareness shirts and pride shirts I've worn when I've gone in on multiple occasions, only good things and she seems to be a lovely woman. Absolutely love this hidden gem of a restaurant.

Serving size is less but the price doesn't require a2nd mortgage so I guess it balances it out. The servers are always pleasant and present! We've known many of their staff for many years and they never disappoint!

For the biscuits and gravy or a pancake or french toast and of course eggs however you want it. The cost was 17.99 but WELL WORTH IT. The portions are huge. The biscuits and gravy it’s own plate the chicken fried steak on it’s own plate and eggs and hash brown on another. The chicken fried steak covered in country gravy. The steak is seasoned to perfection reason why I say this is because the gravy was bland in my opinion. I tasted the biscuits and gravy and it seemed that the biscuits were made daily and seemed homemade. Soft and delicious but the gravy was just bland. The eggs were just eggs and the hash browns were just hash browns. This place a gem. The 4 women that run around get the food and check you out and then clean up to get the next people in are remarkable. Service with a smile and the cook or cooks are ROCKING. I would definitely come back and great job to the staff.

I went there twice with my brother. The food is good, and the lady helping us out was very nice and had amazing energy. The atmosphere isn't anything out of this world, but it's your classic breakfast spot. I would definitely recommend it, and it's affordable.

Came in for an early lunch with a friend and found the restaurant to be quite busy! Definitely a place the locals go to get a good diner-type meal. The hostess was attentive, and quick to help us with anything we needed. Server was as friendly, and food was generously portioned. While my omelet was alright (average), the country potatoes were amazing! Seriously, I would go back just for those. Pretty quiet experience, except for one thing; there was a tall woman (cashier?) who wandered between the kitchen and register, who was very loud at times. She could be heard by patrons complaining about a variety of topics during our visit. Rather unprofessional for the most part.

They open mornings and I cannot go the hours it's open. I get out of work by 6:00 pm or 12:00pm night. It be best if it was 24hours. I definitely will come here night time. All that's open is Danny's. The food people post here looks so good. Have been always trying to get there but never open. At least. I'm past the hours they put. Maybe Sunday or Saturday can be open too and then I be able to have a chance to come in.

The country potatoes were more like mashed potatoes in the way that there was no crunch they were just mushy. They lacked seasoning too. I ate half of the meal and gave up opting not to take the food to go. Sam’s Cafe is doing something right because there were plenty of customers and all the tables were full with people waiting outside. I personally just don’t see the attraction.

I came here about a year ago with a business partner, and the food was great, and the service was great. However, today’s service made it so that I will not be returning to this place. I talked this place up to my fiancé, and today I was embarrassed. The atmosphere was very cold and cliquish. I saw several people receiving nonstop service as well as regulars. My orange juice never got refilled. I received burnt toast, and the potatoes tasted like the water they were soaking in. The Tabasco sauce on the table had suds in it, and I did not trust putting it on my food. Towards the end, the waitress became friendly all of a sudden on our way out. The "garbage" omelet was decent, but I almost finished it completely when my new toast came back to the table. I will not be coming back, and I’ll let all my friends and family know about my experience this morning because it ruined it. We should have went to Denny's how we originally intended because we already know what to expect and their service has been great lately. I just thought i'd be spontaneous since we were heading north.

My Fiancé brought me here to Sam’s Cafe for the first time and the waitress we had was in a rush and non sociable. I ordered the mushroom burger with sweet potato fries And my Fiancé ordered the Garbage Omelette. When our waitress brought our food to us my sweet potato fries were cold,and my Fiancés Potatoes were terrible. Not to mention his empty glass of Orange Juice stayed empty because the Waitress never came back to our table to ask how we were doing or if we needed a refill or anything else for that matter. Also My Fiancés toast was burnt and had to ask for new toast. We will not be coming back here again to eat.

unfortunately I don't bad reviews, but I felt like customer service for my family of 3 was not as expected. No greetings, took a while for someone to get to our table, to order our food. Don't order the country fried steak, it was terrible and i can't explain why the meat looked like spiderwebs, so chewy and no flavor. Chorizo was not real Chorizo. Would not recommend this dinner.

Look in truth the food was delicious and the portions are big, only thing is that the service was horrible. Not friendly at all. I think they need to hire people that love what they do.

Checked in to have breakfast and as I was waiting for my mom to use the restroom one of the lady’s who checked us in rudely said “you need to wait in your car” not a nice suggestion or a please a very rude demand. Horrible of her. So we left.
