We enjoyed everything about the experience at this restaurant. The food, the service and ambiance were perfect during our visit. We ordered the 4 tacos sensillos de maciza which were a phenomenal price of $100 MXP for the amount of meat they were packed with. My hubby had the chilaquiles which has a flavor packed sauce and a generous portion of carnitas. The meat was flavorful and everything tasted fresh! The aguas were delicious. We ordered the jamaica and agua de limon/pepino/chia, both were refreshing. We also had some chicharron while we waited for the chilaquiles to come out and that was also super tasty and not greasy, but delicious and crunchy. The service was on point. Our server was Valeria and she went above and beyond explaining their promos and menu. We sat at their only table outside which was perfect on a Saturday afternoon. They had several tables inside, but we wanted some sunshine. This will definitely be a place I recommend to others and will be returning soon!

The staff are very friendly and always check to see if you're missing anything. I think the food is good value for money. The salsas (there were three different types), onion, cilantro, and everything else they serve to accompany it are fresh and in good condition, as is the chicharron. The gorditas are a bit heavy because of the dough, but they don't taste bad. The buffet includes a drink, which can be soda or flavored water, except for Coca-Cola. You also get any gordita option—plain, special, or with cheese—at no extra cost. And they don't take long to serve you.

I rarely give 5 stars, but this is one of them. The meat is amazing—lean, not too fatty, and flavorful. The gorditas and the torta ahogada are delicious. The service from the waitress was excellent. The restrooms were clean. I recommend it 101%.

It's perfect for eating carnitas and gorditas tacos. I've been there several times and I've left happy. I already had a weekend when they had tortas ahogadas, and the torta and salsa were delicious. I highly recommend them.

It's always a pleasure to go to Taraskito for food. They have tortas ahogadas just like in Guadalajara, made with birote bread. Their gorditas are filled with carnitas. The staff is incredibly friendly.

Good packaging, great flavor, and excellent sauces. Karen's service was excellent. My only complaint is that the carnitas weren't larded in this case; they were already in a separate container, and that made them feel a little dry. However, the flavor was good.

Brought to me by my husband's curiosity, I ended up at El Taraskito. It's a really good place for the price, and the set menu includes one drink other than Coca-Cola (the classic choice for canitas). The canitas taste good, but nothing out of this world, and the same goes for the gorditas. I dared to order cheese, and it was funny because it's on the menu, but I'd never seen them serve so little. The place is pretty nice, but it feels empty, and something I didn't like was that when they were cleaning the tables, I saw them throwing crumbs on the floor. The flavored water is just okay, bordering on not amazing, but it's fine. Would I go back? Yes. Do I hope it's better next time? Also yes. Do I recommend it? Yes, if you're hungry.

The carnitas aren't great, but they satisfy hunger. I ordered tacos de masa, but the meat was actually very, very dry. The prices are reasonable for the area.

I've had better and worse. I mean, their carnitas are X, I'd say a bit bland. Their "plates," chairs, and tables are horrendous. They could invest a little more to make them less like a street stall and less like a run-of-the-mill kind of place, because their tacos aren't that cheap either. And there are, without a doubt, better places in markets than this one.

I heard and saw how, apparently, the owner or manager spoke horribly to the three employees who were there at the time. Honestly, this is why I didn't want to go in and try the food. Just because they're owners doesn't mean they have the right to treat people badly in general.

It's an ugly place. I had to ask the man there if he was serving because, clearly unwilling to work, he started sweeping while I was eating, so I decided to leave because I considered it disrespectful. I did leave a tip for the guy who makes the tacos, because he was actually friendly.

Terrible. The carnitas were tasteless and dry, the gorditas were rancid and tough, and so was the oil or lard they sprinkled on them as if it were a plus, but it makes them taste even worse. And the sauces were awful, really awful. The only good thing was the service and speed of delivery.

One of their employees likes to urinate in the front planter 🤮🤢 Avoid eating there. One of their workers has been seen urinating in the front planter on several occasions. Afterward, he goes back inside without washing his hands and handles the food. Be careful!
