Today I went through the drive thru and even by lunch time it had been an extremely stressful and rough day for me. The lady in the drive thru window was beyond awesome and helpful. So to you thank you very much and you definitely brightened my day! For reasons like her is why I ONLY go to this Chicken Express location!

Excellent tea, even the day after, which is important as some places their tea tastes like lawn clippings the following day. Food is good, if not horrible for one's arteries. Nobody's under the delusion this is a health food establishment however !!! 😃

Dining room closed but very friendly staff who brought order out in a timely manner. Got the tenders combo meals which was hot and fresh. Tenders were done perfectly. I will definitely be going there again!!

Man what an experience! These people know how to treat customers is all I can say. They were so fast paced that they didn't have to to have the best customer service skills. All they had time for was to do there job. And they did it quick and they did it right!!!! I had a chance to speak with a manager Cece briefly and it was definitely a pleasant conversation. Cece and Caleb freaking deserve the moon!!! Freaking awesome dining experience. I will definitely be back!!!! Kudos Caleb and Cece!

It looked clean through drive thru, employees were very nice, and the fries were perfect, Crisp, fresh not overly salt, the chicken was fresh and tasty, and the gravy, did you hear me? GRAVY, YUM YUM, NOTHING BLAND HERE!! Fantastic!!

I went there during lunch and they gave me extra tenders for having to wait. I did not complain or anything to get extra tenders. It was lunch time and usually ordering poppers it takes a little longer.

Very impressed with the manager's professionalism during an extremely busy time. The chicken was the same as every other Chicken Express.

Was the best until they changed the oil used in frying the chicken. The change may have been related to banning lard for frying. But still good. Larger thighs and legs. Larger birds. Good gravy and bisquits.

I live in burleson happen to be here in cleburne so I made a stop at this location the fried pickles are actually good not to salty the food fresh and warm only thing is I asked for family mashed potatoes and got a family gravy instead which sucked for I really wanted some mashed potatoes. Over all I would return.

l am placing an order for 50 pieces of chicken for a family Christmas. l have orderedit before and was well pleased. lt was ready on time, plus it was delicious and still hot. So thanks to Chicken Express!!

Service is pretty ok most of the time. Got some tenders today and it was obvious they were old or the grease had turned bad. That happens about 20% of the time.

Okra and mashed potatoes were cold and for some reason the sweet tea was gritty. Other than that it was good.

It was good, about what you would expect...I will go there again & be happy with my choice...just nothing that I would WOW about.

I ordered a 12pc all Dark they said it would be a 20min wait 35min later they come out to tell me they only have thighs (why did I have to wait?) I said it's fine just please make sure its all thighs my kids will not eat white meat she said no it's all Dark I get home I have breast and thighs.... So I waited 35min for left over chicken not my order.

Best thing they offer is fried okra. There are plenty of places with better chicken and for better prices. Our family doesn't go here that often unless we are craving okra.

Fries aren't hardly salted and they are very stingy with them. Chicken was okay. I've had better at different chicken express locations for sure.

The Tuesdays special used ti give a lot more straps now the straps are a lot smaller and they give no extra I wouldn't e surprised if the people taking advantage of this special keeps going down

The food is always great, but this location is sooooo slow!! The other location across town is worth the drive compared to this one.

i think we were overcharged. two kids snack packs and one adult 4 tender meal was over $30. the chicken was good but the spicy was a little much. i love spicy food, but this was more spice than flavor.

For semi fast-food chicken Chicken Express is a good choice. Nice selection of sides and a choice of biscuit or dinner roll with a large drink or another side. It's always a good idea to double check your order for accuracy by checking your receipt and then when you get your order before you leave. This location if better than most about accuracy.

The inside line is ridiculous, they wait on one customer and then dont help another person till that person has their whole order, I went inside because the lone in drive through is the same it's so long. But their sweet tea is bomb! Best ever!

I would have rather waited a few minutes longer than to have received undercooked food. I see now, why nobody was there, why your parking lot was empty, prior to me pulling up. Please pay your employees more so I don't have to worry about getting sick or dying from undercooked chicken. Playing with peoples food is nothing to play with.

Recently moved from Weatherford (home of chicken E) to just outside of Cleburne. We have driven through the Cleburne location ( Main Street) 2 times and both times we arrived at home with part of our order missing. We live far enough away that it is inconvenient to return to get our full order. I know that the Stewart’s pride themselves of customer service and I am sure they would be disappointed in knowing of the poor service in Cleburne. My hope is that this location will see this review and make changes in their service. The chicken is the best!

The kids that work here are more concerned with helping all there lil high school friends than paying customers. They let there Friend who only bought cups walk out with my order and maid us wait for 10 15 minute's for our meal to be remade after being confronted about the issue and let them know we seen the whole thing go down dont bother with the manager on duty he was no help and smiled the whole time it was being brought to his attention

Food is good, but I'm sitting here watching the employees, no gloves used while dropping food into the fryer ,even manager does the something. Hard to enjoy the food when seeing employees use bare hands dropping food.

Food was normal for Chicken Express, service was substandard. Had to wait several minutes for them to get 2 drinks. 4 teenagers running shop with no apparent supervision. After asking several times what drinks we ordered one of them finally decided to stop goofing off long enough to get our drinks, with our food setting on the counter getting cold.

Management needs to get a handle on this place. I've never been thru drive thru that my order was correct. Always leave some of your order out. So check before you leave. Staff is usually teens playing grab ass in the back

Friendly staff but food could be better. Not fresh most the time. I orderd a 2 piece meal got 1 1/2 instead.

It never fails when I go through the drive thru they always make me pull around and I sit over 20 mins waiting for my food after waiting in the drive thru for 8 to 10 before I get to the window. I think they need more than a bunch of teenagers running the place

Chicken strips are too small and tasted like they were made this morning, so was the okra. Every time I get food from here, I say it will be my last. I love chicken so much that I keep going back hoping that this time it will be better. Maybe this will be the last time, we'll see. It's got to get better.

Good tea but the time you wait for it they could have grown it, harvested it and made it. I literally sat in line for over 15 minutes for a tea. It says it was a slower tiit says on the live feed wow! Then while I waited in line so long those young guy walks all the way from the back door meandering along to the trash can all the way in the ba k corner of the property to throw away a little box...on little box. Could have brought a tea out but guess that would be expecting too much. That was yesterday, today I've en here 7 minutes so far same thing two car ahead. well a tually only 10 minutes this tine good thing they make such good and freah tea.

Normally I love Chicken Express. And I have been to this one before. However tonight my tenders weren't hot and everything else was just not as hot and fresh as it usually is. I'm not whining or complaining because I know everybody can have an off night . Just letting you know what I thought about it tonight. Thank you

Gone Downhill, too expensive for old grease tasting food and too expensive in general as they just keep going up and you might should forget that they serve fish as it is too salty, and flavor not what it use to be & yes they have gone crazy on the price. Call me & we can run to Burleson for real fish at Captain D's which has been FANTASTIC the last few months.

Ordered family meal. This chicken express has a tendency to forget things, specifically asked for ranch with my poppers didn’t get it. Also didn’t get the gravy that came with the meal. Had to cook gravy once I got it home

First time to Chicken Express in months. Ordered wings, 4 sweet teas, mash potatoes with gravy. All except the wings were good. They were boneless and sized more like chicken nuggets. Not much meat and a lot of breading. Very disappointing and feel like i was taken advantage of as a customer.

I am heart broken...no more bone in hot wings. They have a poor substitute thats hot nuggets. North main cleburne is best local one and clean. Regular chicken ok but hot wings was a weekly treat for 20 years to me

Worst customer service ever. Was told my order would take 10 minutes. No problem. I waited 10 minutes in line drove up to the window and was told to move around front as my order was going to take a while. Waited another 10 minutes and still no order. I will wait for the one on Henderson to reopen.

Disappointed got home with my meal and everything was cold. I live less than a mile from the store and too frustrated to go back and exchange it. Chicken was cold, okra was cold even the gravey was room temperature mini poppers were also cold. I'll just go elsewhere.

It was chicken with hardly no meat that was overly battered, dried and over cooked. Mashed potatoes and coleslaw had no flavor. I rather eat at a nursing than this place!

Waited 10 minutes for our order to be taken. Then waited another 15 minutes for food before asking manager about it. She had no clue. Chicken, fries, Mac and cheese, and gravy were all cold. Waited for a long time, just to ger cold food. Window attendant leaned out the window and complained about how tired she was and that her feet hurt. Truly disappointed, because Chicken Express is normally good,but this location failed terribly.

Absolutely awful we pulled up and she asked us to hold on and we proceeded to WAIT 10 MINUTES!!!! Because she forgot we were there until we finally called out to see if anyone would answer. Then they handed us the wrong drink and the chicken was cold and old. Overall I think the establishment needs to be under new management because obviously they aren’t doing enough. 4/20/23

Ordered two breasts, fries and corn on the cob. Got four wings, which are cheaper, went back next day and the person in charge did not apologize.SHE got rude. I will not be going back to the place ever. Cane's is More likely a better place to go.

Ordered 3 #1’s had to reiterate my order 3 times and still didn’t seem to understand my order, didn’t tell me price nor offer receipt at window…had incorrectly giving me 2 ketchup packets after asking twice for honey. Had a mash potatoes side with gravy that was cold within a 6min drive. Had cold greasy fries with ZERO salt. Had Tea that tasted like dog water cause of the down right disgusting water they used to make it. Saw zero hair nets, with bare hands touching food. All-round 0-5 and it was the best Learning experience on how not to spend money on fast food. Saves me money in the future and I hope this review does the same for your wallet and taste-buds after I had this sad excuse for a chicken express restaurant. God-Forbid you eat here.

1/11 /20 @4:50pm In my 40 plus years I have never sent food back, complained about less than good service, or wrote one single review. I work in healthcare and I know what kind of effect those things can have. Everyone has days that are just "off" so to speak. However, the so called " customer service" at this particular establishment was absolutely THE WORST service I have ever experienced! The level of rudeness displayed by the older woman that took our order in the drive thru and that I again spoke with when I went inside was 100% unacceptable. Anyone who works with the public and will stand behind the drive thru window, that she has just slammed in someone's face, and not only loud talk but cuss and make racial slurs ABOUT the people sitting right there at the drive thru window should seriously consider seeking out additional training in how to, at the very least, act like you are not the bitter, racist individual being portrayed to the patrons of Chicken E. I will be writing a formal letter to corporate with the details of the rest of this encounter.

I will never return to this location due to the horrible customer service. I came inside because I didn’t want to wait in the line for a bag of ice. When i entered an employee was giving a different customer his food, but never acknowledged my presence. I stood in front of the register and no one acknowledged me after about 5 mins. There was an employee on break in the lobby so i stated “is the lobby open?” and he replied “yes, the lobby is open”. After another 5 mins of waiting, I still wasn’t helped or even spoken to. I turned back to the employee that was on break and asked for the manager’s name. His response was “she’s the lady in the gray shirt behind you ma’am”. Oh, the lady that has clearly heard that a customer is in the lobby, but she didn’t care enough to say “we’ll be with you in a moment” or get an employee to assist me? I asked for the owner’s name & the employee on break informed me of the email listed on the wall. I went back to my car to get my phone and came back inside to get the email address and the employees(including the manager) did NOT acknowledge me. I’m very disappointed in this establishment and I’m hoping that it isn’t due to the color of my skin as I was the only black person inside of the building.

They have no signs up about big bills the lady acts like she didn't have the money in the drawer to cash my big bill which I was spending most of without even looking and turns to the manager lady which was already shaking her head no as if she was some Superior person that thinks that my money is no good there so if you want to be treated rudely go here. If y'all want to turn people down for the money they have in their pocket then you need to put signs up stating that you do not want to take money

Ordered a 40 piece family meal that was supposed to come with 4 family sides but the bags only contained 3 sides. This is the third time in as many years that this has happened at a Chicken Express location. You also used to get a free gallon of tea with such a large order (and 2 family gravies) but those days are apparently long over. Now you get no free tea and only 1 family gravy. Prices continue to climb higher and higher while service and value drop lower and lower.

I was in there on Saturday, 8/23/14, and purchased 58.00 worth of chicken for lunch for senior citizens at an assisted living center there in Cleburne. I asked the manager, Myra, for two additional rolls for them for lunch, and she told me no. I told her I just spent a large amount for chicken, and would she mind throwing in two extra rolls, as what was in the sack for them didn't look like much. She said there were 6 rolls in there, and proceeded to take every one of them out with tongs, and then put every one of them back in the sack, smashing them, and said that I had my 6. This was very poor customer service in general, and I informed her I would be speaking to the management. Chicken was great, but Myra left a bad taste in our mouth for the next time we consider where to purchase the seniors lunch... Teresa Campbell

Went in to quickly pick up something for lunch, but had to wait while they fried the French fries. Even though it was their busiest time of day, only one deep frier was operational. No fast food today at the Cleburne location!!

Was served green gizzards. When I spoke to the manager he said it was normal. Been a loyal customer for over 10 yrs never had a green gizzard before. Today is the last time I will ever eat at Chicken Express.

We ordered take out and did not get any of the chicken strips we ordered and when we called to tell them they refused to refund our money, we live over 20 miles away and wanted us to bring the food back. That’s reduculous. Visit at your own risk

I wasn’t sure if I was overcharged maybe? Idk but then I looked online~ $18.82 for a #2 It wasn’t bad for quality fast food, but pricey for sure….bang for your buck?

Don't waste your time or money, went thru drive thru, was asked to park, it was 25 minutes later and forgot one tea, no apple pies, food cold, drinks had no ice, this is the worst place, you would be better to eat any place else, won't go waste my time or money at this place again

Just went for lunch 12:10 pm ordered 3pc combo meal, the wife ordered large mix, man said it would be 13 mins, we decided not to wait as I only get an hour for lunch, I just can't believe the way these businesses operate, probably fixing to spend 20 or 30 bucks and the had no chicken cooked at lunch time, went down the road to churches chicken, they had it piled up high. And it was fresh and good, only thing I can figure, it's a management thing, these cleburne restaurant's and businesses need to do better.

Had to wait for simple 4 tender meal while they served other cars in drive thru. Made older woman walk it out to my car in midday heat instead of one of the younger employees. Cut a tender in half to make sure it was cooked. Was still partially raw in middle and smelled like undercooked chicken. Do not eat here.

Wait was too long to be served then I made it the order for her and they put it to go and the dinning hall tables are dirty. Chicken express has standards and expectations to uphold, there sweet tea taste nasty they messed up my order twice so either the store manager doesn’t care or the owner. Never got an apology or anything from the staff. Spend your money else where.

I’m being extremely nice with the two stars across the board so I order the 7 tender express and the older caucasian lady with bows in her hair is putting my food together and I’ve already paid at this point doesn’t seem to have any teeth having a full blown conversation over my food with the box opened then once my tenders are placed in the box the reposition my tenders with her raw hands no gloves no anything so I honk my horn and no one comes and the manager I assume doesn’t notice because she’s doing drawer counter or pulling the drawer but not only that she’s the one talking to the lady that’s fixing my food it was a experiment for me because no I left and went right next door to get me some other food bc that was entirely too much going on for me to comfortably want to eat that food after all that but this isn’t my first incident I love soft ice so of course I go a different day prior to tonight and order two large cups of ice and I kid you not the man took my money put it in register grabbed a cup and dunked it into the ice from the bottom white area and all I could think is if he could do it so comfortable infront of me knowing his hand touch the ice some way when he dunked hit how many other employees hands are in that same cooler of ice they need to get it together bc no ma’am

Ask for a two-piece chicken so I got the wings I thought because there's no meat on the bones they would at least give me four little wings but I got three not a single napkin and a half and half tea is what I got $8.91 I wish I would have got at least a napkin this is the worst place I want everybody to know about it cleburne has the highest prices and the worst customer service I don't even want to get Stars so there
