Barley tried Broilers for the first time and just a quick summary, I shop in this shopping center often, dollar tree, target, petsmart.... Tried Broilers and I loved the service I got from the gentleman, He made sure I got exactly what I wanted and was very attentive to my pickiness! Was no longer than a 5 minute wait for my order which was AMAZING considering it was packed. Clean, friendly and love the lights on the patio! Food was A M A Z I N G ! Defiantly would go back! Hopefully get the same guy next visit think his name was Craig.

This place is so yummy! The garlic sauce is to die for and the chicken is seasoned and cooked to perfection. A must try if you are new to the Fresno area or just passing through.

My favorite quick eats in Fresno. I love the steak and chicken kabobs. The pilaf is off the hook and the garlic sauce will make you slap your grandma.

Clean, good eating as long as you don't get the fries but I always do.

This is my go to for a quick lunch. Others have have vome and gone but The Broilers remains. I have heard some of Broilers "Fabulous" I agree. The garlic sauce is spot on.

We really enjoy eating here when we come into town. I ate to fast to take a picture! But the food is excellent. Good quality. Homemade. I got a falafel plate which was by far the best falafel I've ever had! My sister who is very picky also agreed! My sister loves the chicken wrap, but honestly and plate or wrap us probably amazing!

Food is delicious. I love the broilers. Been eating their food for years never had a bad experience.

When it comes to food and service all I can say is phenomenal. It is definitely pricey, but truly worth every penny. Be aware it gets extremely busy during rush hour so beware and be patient. Overall, great place for a healthy meal.

Amazing salads and sandwiches. I'm not a salad guy but it was amazing. Flavors mix well with sour and sweet taste. Pickled beets are amazing too. I ask for an extra char on my steak for crispiness which increases the flavor!

I've been here a ton. I pretty much exclusively get the half chicken salad (the full one is HUGE). Sometimes I'll get the beef salad. The meat here is amazing, the mint dressing is one of a kind, and it comes with pita and garlic sauce, which is my favorite part!

My family and I LOVE eating at The Broilers. My girls love the chicken bowls, and my wife and I are big fans of the Chicken Plate - especially the rice pilaf. I definitely recommend stopping in if you haven't before.

I like to do take out and place my order ahead because I get a bit of stuff. The only semi bad thing is that they don’t usually answer their phones. Their food is so good though and when you do go in they’re very friendly. Just try to be patient with them because they do get very busy.

Love the side orders. I always grab a beef and chicken shawarma. It's very tasty. I go when they open. Staff is always helpful and gets my order out quickly. It's one of my favorite places. The gyro is pretty good but sometimes too dry, but I haven't gotten a bad side order of shawarma yet.

I'm not sure why there are so many reviews saying the food isn't as good as it used to be. This was one of my favorite spots to eat when I lived in Clovis. I haven't had a chance to eat here in many, many years so I made sure to stop by when I was in town recently. The food was just as good as I remembered. The chicken on my shawarma plate was tender and juicy. I ordered an extra salad on the side and the lettuce and veggies were very fresh. We got takeout, so the fries on the kebab plate weren't all that crispy when we got home, but they were still very tasty especially dipped in the garlic sauce or hummus. I will say that I noticed the pita bread has changed since I was last there maybe 7-8 years ago, but it was still good. The leftover pita bread we had maintained it's softness through to the next day. After all these years The Broilers is still a solid spot to grab a quick lunch or dinner that won't leave you feeling heavy, full, or bloated like so many other fast-casual restaurants. I'm looking forward to my next visit to town so I can eat here again.

This place has been consistent for decades, which is a testament to its staying power as a restaurant. Quality as ebbs and flows but overall this place makes a very unique (if not totally authentic) take on shawarma that I’ve yet to see replicated elsewhere in the US. Special mention that salads do not use iceberg lettuce which is a good sign that this place is worth your time. 4/5 I would recommend this to most people I even if I’m not sure they’d like it. -1 the interior and the food fit the price, but haven’t been updated in decades. Also the soda machine here is REGULARLY out of stock on beverage choices.

Bought chicken shawarma today, it was good, but still not unique. Very traditional one and moreover prices are very expensive. There are many Mediterranean restaurants around Clovis with high quality Shawarma and better prices. You have to review either your quality or your prices to me them worth. Thanks

This is one of my to go places if I want some quick Mediterranean food . My favorite is the Haav shawarma. I see some people don’t seem to like it however for the price I think it’s pretty good and lots of options for vegan to beef livers to chicken. They have indoor and outdoor seating . The staff is pretty friendly and the line moves pretty fast .

The food is delicious, but the customer service is lacking. We walked in the front door and not acknowledgment. The tape in the cash register was out, so the attention by two people was to the machine and not who walked in the door to order food. A simple, "Hello, we will be right with you." would be a nice greeting.

Usually love eating here as it’s one of my favorite places at in town. But last night we ordered $70 of food with three salads and we got NO dressing at all. It was a takeout order so we tried to call but no one would answer the phone before they closed. I went back the next day and the lady just said “oh sorry”. Really frustrating they have horrible customer service now.

Food and service were good and the place is very clean. Would give it 5 starts but for the amount of food for the price I paid was not worth it.

Ordered 4 Gyro sandwiches, pilaf a kids meal and pickels. The guy taking my order thought they were regular Pickles not the pickled hicama. paid for all of that and then asked for extra titziki sauce which I paid for as well. When I got home with my to go order, I realize they gave me salad dressing not titziki, the sandwiches them selves were dry as heck with maybe a teaspoon of titziki in them and the meat was extremely dry. I picked this as my birthday meal because I was really craving a good gyro and didn't want to cook. I will continue to make my own from now on.

I ordered a Gyro with a side of fries. Got home 10 minutes later to eat. The fries are some of the worst fries I've ever had. Cold and nasty like they'd been sitting there for a long time. I didn't get a Gyro at all, instead they gave me a pita filled with chicken. It tasted good, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't what I ordered at all so it was very disappointing since I drove over there specifically for a Gyro. Very disappointing.

Great food and good quality. However give it a two star due to poor customer service. Very rude cashiers. In addition they do not keep up on their supplies for their soda fountain. We will not be going back.

We went there about 15 minutes to closing and they told us they were closing in 10 minutes and had to make the order to go , we said no we'd like to stay but they bagged it up anyway. As we're leaving with about 3 or 4 minutes left to closing they locked the doors and we saw at least five customers turned away. As far as I'm concerned the owner needs to know about this horrible customer service ... I know the girls wanted to get out of there but at least give people some time to enjoy their meal. BTW the food was excellent.

as noted on other reviews, be aware of the price hike on delivery apps. the plates on their website/in-store are about $15 dollars but on doordash they are $21+. i used to be able to bypass this by ordering via their website but seems like they've disabled ordering via their website (was not able order today, 10/25) so that the only choice left is to order the price hike option. additionally, food used to taste much better for cheaper. somehow prices have gotten more expensive while simultaneously worsening quality of meats and ingredients.

I use to love this place. Unfortunately the quality had gotten so bad, it is now a waist of money. Just got picked up dinner and the food was very bland. The pita bread was burnt and hard! My husband said his meat tasted old. To think it is OK to serve food like that is horrible. I can't waist my families money here anymore Older review - I like that it's something diffrent than your average quick bit to eat places and it's not as unhealthy. Like most places the price has gone up and the portion size has changed. They quality has gone down a little as well. A few weeks ago our all of our pita bread was burnt. I wi continue to eat here because the food is usually good. But considering what you get for the price and the inconsistency in the quality, we won't be eating here nearly as often.

Seems like the only way to order anything is in person. Good luck trying to reach them on the phone. High traffic while under staffed is a horrible combination that causes EVERYONE to suffer. A smart business owner would have took action. Definitely not coming here again. Would rather drive out of my way to other location.

To Nenita Feliz, I experienced the exact same thing word for word. Tried to ask how the cashier's day was going and she was super rude. Didn't even get my order right and got super mad when i told her to change it 😒

D

Their food is good but their customer service is terrible. They leave the phone off the hook most days to avoid phone call orders. They close at the most random days and times during operating hours. Owner should put this location on their radar. Been to all the Broilers locations and this is by far the worst.

R
Ricky Renteria

Love the food, but I would start going to a different location. Never have I been served cold fries and chicken, yet here I am, having to reheat my food I phoned in and waited an additional 45mins in store for. It wasn't even that busy. People who walked in, didn't phone in beforehand, got the same exact order (minus fries) before me.

V
Vincent Fitch

The food was great however they forgot the salad dressing for my 2 salads. Living several miles away I didn’t want to drive back. When I called in the woman who answered wasn’t very apologetic and seemed more irritated then anything else. She offered to give me extra dressing the next time I came in????? Honestly what good is that going to do me ? I asked to speak to a manager and was informed that their wasn’t one but she would put my name and number on the board and I would receive a call. This never happened I have called back twice now and no call from management. I love the food but will never be back they clearly do not appreciate their customers and have zero training on how to deal with an issue when they make a mistake. Ohhh and when I called back i was informed my name wasn’t even on “the board”

N

I use to really enjoy coming here but lately the cashiers have gone from bad to worse. They are rude and unfriendly and now, the food is not good. I paid $15 for cold broken up pita bread, salty meat, and dry-hard pickled turnips. I'm done giving this place chances.

Broilers (especially on Willow & Herndon) has gone downhill. This is not once, twice, or 3 times that I have tried to give it another shot and it just seems to get worse and worse. Not only with the increase in charge (as everywhere) but they are charging more for less. Shy of $11 for a half salad which probably doesn’t even equal to 2 cups of lettuce and definitely not even a 2 oz of chicken. The “portions and weight” I was told is up to the owners direction. It is very sad to see how the quality of salad has diminished; I have been a long time Broilers fan, and have seen the original portions vs.now (my daughter worked there many years ago). Today, was the day I totally forgot that this location was not my fav but I have been reminded once again. I stopped in quickly for a salad to take to my boyfriend who has COVID, and a salad for myself. I get home and again, missing both dressings for both salads. My half salad was a huge disappointment. I called to let them know (which I don’t usually do) and of course it’s attitude and advised I could go back to get the dressings. I don’t know about you, but once I’m home the last thing I want to do is get back in my car to drive back to get something that should have been in the bag in the 1st place. The only Broilers I will continue to go to in the future is the Palm & Herndon location. They tend to still try to keep up their standards of a decent salad. But if you want more and better quality for what you pay for … try Kabob City instead. They at least give you a decent amount without gauging you for 20 pieces of lettuce..

M
Matthew Sheets

They increased their price and reduced their portions. They aren't as good as they used to be. In the past, the unfriendly people at the counter wasn't an issue because the food was decent and the amount they gave was right for the price. This isn't the case anymore. There's plenty of other Mediterranean food places out there. I suggest you look around. I know I will be...

I came here so excited to get a shawarma sandwich because i have been living out of state for 6 years. I walked in and was greeted by three awkward stares from employees, but I was so determined to get my chicken shawarma, so i ordered and verbally expressed how I had been looking forward to this. The employee that took my order just stood there silently. Didn't upsell me on anything, even I wanted more that I was going to get some hummus and pita but their attitude really started to get to me, so I just added a drink. Then, I paid and waited right there for my cup, and they literally stood there and stared at me awkwardly. I asked and they were like confused and very slowly were like oh.... yeah.... here..... but like I infringed on their lives. I got my shawarma quick enough, but it was like a small burrito. Then i just got this dry, nasty bite of stale pita, there was hardly any garlic sauce (probably my favorite part), and the tomatoes were so unripe they were literally inedible, and the chicken wasn't hardly warm and had the texture I could only describe as styrofoam or wood chips, it was so old and dry, it crumbled like saw dust. I understand why you see people lose it and throw food back at employees, I was so disappointed. My best friend and I used to visit all the time and their chicken was thick, juicy chunks of hot chicken and amazing fresh, ripe tomatoes and the garlic sauce would be oozing out. This place is a joke. It was like an awkward doctor's office waiting room, nothing great. In desperate need of revamping or just shut it down now i know why it was practically empty when everywhere else was packed.

If you use your credit Card the cashier will ask you for your I'd if your are not White. If you look like mexican be prepared to show your I'd. She ask me for my I'D because I look Mexican.she didn't ask the white Lady after me. What a sham. I will never come back here! More over there price increase ridiculously. And there food portion got cut in the half.

Undercooked chewy chicken and horrible customer service!! We were out shopping and wanted a quick dinner, so we stopped by and ordered five takeout meals for the family. The girl that took our order was very nice, but everyone else that I dealt with after that point was pretty awful… Once we got home and started eating we discovered all the pitas were hard and the kabob chicken was chewy and some of the pieces were raw and pink inside! The other meals seemed fine, so I called to tell them and they were rude and acted like they didn’t believe me! They told me I had to bring it in to prove it! We do not live close by at all, but they told me I had to drive all the way back in order to get a refund. Once I got there the cooks acted annoyed that I came back. I asked for a manager and they said they don’t have one! Instead one of the cooks came and grabbed the food and took it back to the others and they stood around looking at it and decided it WAS undercooked and they would give me a refund for the one meal. They did not apologize at all though or seem to care that they could have made us very sick serving undercooked chicken or that they wasted my time and ruined our night. I asked if I should be worried about the rest of the food my family ate, and the cook said, “how should I know if you didn’t bring it back for me to see it?!” Praying we don’t all get food poisoning from this place! I will never go back!!

Terrible. I asked the young lady if they could do a falafel salad. She told me the falafel plate came with salad. No! It came with the top shavings from the lettuce that I usually throw away. It has brown edges and is inedible. They won't give me a salad. There is no manager here to speak to. They took my phone number so the manager could call me later. What a joke! I used to be a very happy customer.

I ordered a Falafel sandwich. I tried to eat it like a sandwich the pita bread was so thin it was falling apart and dripping with white sauce that was placed on only one side of the sandwich and dripped all over the outside of the sandwich. Very messy and I had to eat with a fork. It needed seasoning.

I've eaten here well over 200 times in my life. Tonight, I ordered 1 full salad, 1 half salad, and 2 chicken and rice bowls for my family, to go. I took it home, and when I opened it, they had forgotten all 4 pitas. Pretty annoying since now I had to figure out and make extra sides for dinner, which defeated the whole purpose of picking up dinner. I was literally the only person in the restaurant when I ordered, so it was solely due to carelessness. Whatever, it happens. The real annoyance starts when I call and ask for a partial refund. The girl who I talked to on the phone was the one who packed my order, and knew she had forgotten them. She took my name and number and said next time I came in I'd get 4 free pitas. I told her I don't want that, because if I come in again to eat, I'm not going to want to eat 4 extra pitas on top of the food I'm already there to buy, so I wanted a partial refund. Seems like a simple, common sense thing. I would've been happy with a $10 refund on the $50 meal, although personally, if it were my restaurant, I'd comp at least half of it for the inconvenience of forgetting something major that is included in basically every single meal sold. She said she had to call her boss and would call me back. No surprise, I never heard back. I'm not going to waste my time tracking people down. It's 2025, what a joke you can't just make things right instantly (I still had the receipt/transaction #/etc.) Simply pathetic policies and customer service, especially towards someone who has spent MANY thousands of dollars there over a decade.

I used to love going to this place. It was my go to place to pick up dinner before heading home after work. But I’m sorry the quality has come down. I don’t know if it’s a new cook or the people at the front don’t know how to take orders but after giving them three chances I stopped going to that place. Wrong order, cold food, hard flatbreads for the gyros….etc.

H

I never leave bad reviews, but I have also never been treated more poorly as a paying customer. I came in and purchased a large salad and a chicken plate to go. I got all the way home and they had left out my salad dressing and given me two whole wheat pita ( and I thought they gave two per order). After going back, I went up to the female employee working and said that they had forgotten my dressing. She placed the dressing container down aggressively and just looked back at me. I asked her questions about the pita and she just acted like I was trying to get free food. She became super condescending and when I told her she was being rude, she told me that I needed to leave the establishment because I was being rude to her. She then told me I was entitled. I paid $30 for this food and had to make two trips to their store, only to be treated like a criminal over pita bread. While the food was just as good as normal, no paying customer should be treated this way, especially when it was their error in the first place.
