Had lunch pot roast was perfect.. tender not dry. All the waiter's, waitresses were very polite.
The service from every single staff member, food server to cart driver, bar tender, just everyone, was heartfelt EXCELLENT! Our family enjoyed a wonderful anniversary celebration meal together after relaxing at the pool/bar beforehand.
We had a family lunch ; rib eye sandwich beef liver and beef soup as a dessert crème brûlée and lemon bar All was cooked and baked perfectly they tasted fantastic
I have eaten here on three different occasions! From the beautiful and warm greeters, to the servers and store employees, this incredible restaurant and resort must not be missed! The professional and elegant atmosphere, the fabulous decor, the immaculate presentation from entry to exit!!! This is a razzle dazzle experience and I must say it will become a craving!!! Your next visit must be soon. Did I mention the food!!!! Well, I want to return as soon as possible!!!!!!! The cuisine is 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all the way!!!!
Thus place is amazing. The steakhouse was really good! The room was nice. The pool is epic. The smell can be strong from the Farm. The first night ee got there it was really strong, but the next day the air was good.
Great stop along I 5. Gift shop is really nice with variety of merchandise and food. Take out sandwiches at the cafe are great.
The rooms are rustic and adequate. There was enough staff and they were very pleasant. If I had to ding them......it would be the smell when the wind is blowing (stinky cows)
Harris Ranch Resort is just off Interstate 5. It has loads of parking and is in the process of opening an RV park. They have a very cool country store, bar and restaurants. For today’s inflated prices, it’s about as reasonable as you can get. The food is excellent and so is the service. We have not stayed at the resort, so I can’t comment on the rooms or room prices.
I stop at Harris Ranch store when I'm passing by, a couple times a year, and stock up on their homemade corned beef hash, when it's not sold out.
First time there. It is out of the way, but worth the trip. Staff was amazing and food was great.
We love Harris Ranch…Always perfect in every way!! Thank you for a wonderful Anniversary celebration! Ramon and Diego took great care of us at your steakhouse. Beautiful table for two. ❤️ Can’t wait for your RV Park too for the times we’re pulling our rig! 😊 Got a nice porterhouse to go packed nicely on ice this morning for our drive home and tried one of the chefs new blood orange cupcakes and it was delicious!! Thank you 😊 Dan and Sharyl
Stopped here as a midway point and we wish we had more time to stay! The food was delicious, staff was super friendly- some of the best service we have had in a long time, and the pool looked amazing (seriously will plan to stay longer next time to use it). They are also building a new RV resort which is exciting for us! We will definitely be back!
We stopped here to grab a bite to eat. The food was amazing. It has a great atmosphere and the pale ale was very satisfying.
We called ahead and ordered a tri-tip sandwich from the deli and we were passing through. We did not use the rooms or the restaurant service. Delicious food and friendly service. We will definitely be back!
Went to Harris Ranch on Valentines Day. My wife and friends wanted to eat Ribeye steaks. It was a great experience with excellent service.
Harris ranch is a must for great steak and eggs if that's what you're up for. If you do miss the breakfast menu they have steak that will melt in your mouth. Actually when we travel through the area we bring a cooler and we buy some steaks from the meat market they have. It's outstanding.
My husband and I stop here whenever we have to go to LA on business which is a few times a year. The food is top notch. I always get the petite filet and he gets a big steak. I look forward to our trips and Harris Ranch Resort meals. We have not stayed in the resort but it looks very nice.
The place has a nice relaxing atmosphere. They have separate rooms, one for adults only and one for families and everyone else. The food and service are excellent. They have a shop where you can get beautiful cuts of meat and small pastries, also other items to browse through. In addition they have a hotel and RV parking area, but we didn't stay there. Enjoy yourself there
If you don’t like the drive, you can always fly. They have their own airstrip. Food is absolutely fantastic. Lots to do. Had a drink and want to go to the store? They will take you to the store so you don’t have to drive in the golf cart. Very clean. Hot tub, swimming pool and food what you want
Great place to stop for lunch. Definitly worth planning around. Food and service were both good. Their Ranchhouse restaurant doesn't take reservations, but we walked right in with a party of 7 on a Monday.
If you’re headed to LA, this is definitely the spot stop use the bathroom. Get a good steak. Everything I had was good. Grab some pastries.
Harris Ranch has exceptional food and service. Been here many times and it never disappoints. If you love steak, this is the place to go. Great place to stop if you're headed to Northern CA or Southern CA. Highly recommend.
We stay at Harris Ranch 4 times a year, starting almost 4 decades ago with our drives up and down the I-5. We love the pool, the relaxing atmosphere, and the fantastic restaurants. We make it a destination or, at least, a do-not-miss. The staff members are very welcoming and pleasant. With or without our kids, we love our stops at Harris Ranch
We recently decided to stay here as a way to break up the drive between LA and the Bay Area. It exceeded all expectations. The staff were all excellent. The rooms and the restaurants were affordable with steaks that were as good or better than many top upscale steakhouse chains but at 30%-50% less cost. My kids loved the pool, and it made a normally brain destroying drive feel like a family road trip vacation adventure.
So many EV charging options! Not to mention window washing squeegees which are rare with charge stations. As for the stop, almost dead center between LA and SF, ample clean restrooms, BBQ, a sit down restaurant and bakery. If you just need to get off the road this is a full service resort with nice looking pool. Haven’t yet stayed here myself but wouldn’t mind giving it a shot. Def a place I strive to stop on my frequent drives across the state.
I normally just stop to use the restroom here as they are very clean. I also stop for the goodies here freshly bake cookies, pies, danish rolls, cakes, beef jerky and im sure i missed some but plenty of other things to find here! Never stayed in the rooms here but im sure they are very clean, and very contfortable and very plush!
We stopped in for one night. Place is right of the freeway, very convenient Easy check in. Room was nice, second floor overlooking the pool. Very comfortable room, bed was nice, patio outside with a couple of chairs. Nice feature of the room is that it has a 🆕 ce recliner to kick back in, I really enjoyed that, it was a nice surprise Pool is awesome, large and heated a bit. Bar next to it, very popular The property is large, separate building has a store, a lounge and a couple of restaurants. Large gas station on site also along with a ton of chargers for electric cars We enjoyed our stay, the restaurants, the free coffee in the lobby and the free cookies at check-in Sometimes if the wind shifts you get an interesting aroma from the feedlots up the freeway but you get used to it after a while We will definitely stop in again
We stopped here for breakfast. Good service and good food. I didnt stay here but it is in a good location with a gas station. Also plenty of parking. Close to the freeway.
Always a great stop when driving from Southern to Northern California or vice versa. We were able to have a great burger while our Tesla was charging. The non-Tesla EVs have limited charging choices. There was even a line waiting for open for non-Tesla EVs.
we always stop for gas and there is a nice green area for dogs to walk around. at the mini mart they have wonderful Mac and cheese and bbq sandwiches. service is always friendly.
Everyone here is soap light so gracious service is impeccable and our chef Giovanni Trujillo puts out one of the best steaks I’ve ever had the ribeye the carrots fabulous you have to come here and eat.and spend the night.
We stayed at the brand new RV park. Huge spots and very nice park. The restaurant here is first class.
I had brunch this afternoon at Harris Ranch Restaurant. The steak I ordered was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked medium rare, just the way I like it. The quality of the meat really stood out. Also, my waiter was excellent—very attentive, punctual, and provided great service throughout the meal. Overall, it was a five-star experience from start to finish. Highly recommend checking it out if you get the chance!
We stayed in the newly opened RV Park. It is really nice. Easy to get in and out of, the restroom and shower facility is super nice and clean. Sites are level, easy to get in and out of, two sewer connections and two water connections per site. The dog areas are nice natural grass, very well kept. Separate areas for big and small dogs. We ate dinner at the Ranch kitchen and the food and service are outstanding.
It's kind of amazing what this family has accomplished. They're big in horse racing. They're big in cattle. And they've got this hospitality thing wired. Getting anything to be this nice in this part of California is something. If you're driving from LA to SF and you don't want to do it in one shot Coalinga is halfway. It does not smell as bad as Lost Hills. If you can get a room facing the inner pool area that's probably best. The staff are very nice and really want to help. The fast food place they have next door is good. The steaks are good. It is I will say amazing when you go there to see who we are sharing this Earth with.
We love staying here on our way to Oregon. Great pool and hot tubs to relax in after a fantastic steak dinner! Now that their RV Park is open, we'll be getting some beef from their on site butcher for our trip.
My girl and I came here very often in 2021 and 2022. The place smells like cow manure, which can be distracting. The rooms is clean and quite nice. We never use the TV. 😉 Too "busy" spending time together in the room. It's so funny that even tho we went to this place so often, we never turn the TV on. That's how nice the place is for us. The room gives u a free cookie which is nice. Very delicious. The restaurant nearby is pricy but the food is always good. What we always get is the Mac and Cheese. My girl's younger sis loves the Mac and Cheese. I love it, too. We also often walk around the area. It's nice there, so we enjoy walking around. The place feels hidden but is also near the freeway. It's a very nice getaway to get away. 😊
Passing through like most of their business but definitely one of the best steaks you’ll get. Super great service and food all around. Get the wedge salad chopped too. Great rolls with cheddar cheese.
Never miss a chance to grab a meal while charging up the Rivian, Polestar, Tesla, whatever EV we're driving across country or down to San Diego. Enjoyed our one overnight stay, but it's the only one because it's close to home.
Maddy has been the absolute standout throughout the entire evening. From the front of the house to the lobby, she has effectively been running the restaurant and operating as the manager in every sense of the word. She is approachable, personable, and genuinely kind, while maintaining a high level of professionalism. The bar team is doing a good job—efficient, improving, and moving with purpose but Maddy sets the standard. Her customer service reflects everything exceptional hospitality should be. She maintains strong eye contact, stays aware of every detail, and pays attention to every interaction, transaction, and guest moving through the space. What truly separates her is her awareness. She is watching the entire room at all times—supporting staff, assisting guests, stepping in where needed, and keeping everything flowing smoothly. In my experience, being busy is never an excuse to stop being human. Many employees get overwhelmed and forget to acknowledge people. Maddy does the opposite. She multitasks effortlessly while making every guest feel seen, welcomed, and valued. She communicates with confidence, helps her coworkers without hesitation, engages guests with genuine conversation, and does it all with a warm smile. She is the only person in the restaurant who appears fully aware of everything happening at once and handling it exceptionally well. Quite frankly, Maddy has been acting as the manager all night. She should be promoted immediately. Employees like her don’t just improve service they save businesses. Promoting her would be a smart and necessary decision for Harris Ranch. I am still staying at the hotel and will be leaving a separate review after checkout tomorrow. So far, everything has been very good but Maddy has been the defining highlight of the experience..
Stopped on the way down to souther California. Very spacious and clean rooms, property is large and more than accommodating with people who have pets (mine is 55 pounds). The pool is very large and has a hot tub and jacuzzi, unfortunately I was exhausted otherwise I would have given this 10 out of 5 stars. Thanks Harris ranch resort
We didn't go to the resort. We ordered sandwiches online to pick up on our road trip. The sandwiches were ready when we arrived. The place was packed so I recommend the order ahead strategy.
My wife and I love to come here, and once again, came here for our anniversary! My wife nearly fainted from the flavor of the Filet Minon and the Au Gratin potatoes! Always delicious, wonderful service!
The location of this ranch is quite strategic, situated conveniently on the route to Los Angeles. It carries a rich history dating back to the early 1900s. Travelers often stop here to rest, recharge their vehicles and enjoy a break. The food served at the ranch is excellent and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful.
This is a review of the bakery/ country store which we stopped by along our road trip: Took a road trip and had a pit stop here since it gave me an opportunity to stretch my legs. The general areas are open to the public so I grabbed a slice of cheesecake and apricot pastry from their bakery and ate it in the patio area. The staff was friendly and helpful and helped open the doors to the patio space so we could enjoy the pastry and dessert! The pastry was good and the cheesecake was ny style which meant it was dense so I only took a few bites since I didn't want to calorie overload while doing a longer drive. It was good though! Worth the stop in to check out this little oasis in along the road trip
Went for Breakfast and Dinner. Same place two different areas and both really delicious! The B&G delish and the prime rib was Huge ! The wine also sooo good! If we are ever in the area again we'd definitely Recommend and come back!
We stopped there in our way back to LA from SJ. Very nice store to get fast food and pastries. They had very beautiful Christmas decorations. Outside was a BBQ shack. Clean restroom out side . It's an excellent stop to eat and enjoy the resort
Stopped at Harris Ranch Restaurant for the first time and was genuinely impressed. I ordered the chicken fried steak, and unlike a lot of places that use cube steak, this was real beef — tender and flavorful. You can taste the quality. The service was on point, too. Staff was attentive, friendly, and everything came out in good time. The whole experience felt well-managed and welcoming. Definitely worth the stop if you're passing through. I’ll be back to try more of the menu.
This review is for the restaurant only — and it’s an easy five stars across the board! Harris Ranch is truly a must-stop destination that delivers the quintessential American dining experience. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess, and our server was delightful, personable, and genuinely cheerful — greeting us as if we were longtime neighbors. We started with the wedge salad, which came with both blue cheese and ranch dressing, beautifully presented on a chilled plate. The lettuce was perfectly crisp and fresh, exactly how a wedge salad should be. For mains, we ordered the pot roast and the burger. Both dishes showcased the quality of Harris Ranch’s fresh ingredients in every bite. The pot roast was tender and full of flavor, paired with mashed potatoes that felt straight out of a comforting, home-cooked classic American meal. The burger was equally satisfying, simple yet elevated by freshness and authenticity. Overall, our experience was wonderful. Harris Ranch delivers not just a meal, but a warm and welcoming dining experience that feels timeless. I only wish they’d open a location in Los Angeles!
Good place for fast EV charging. Plenty of restrooms, and a handy water bottle filler at the front door. Lots of choices for food, and a coffee counter.
Review for the Horseshoe Lounge - Stopped in coming back from a road trip to Riverside HD . Fast and easy seating just walked in. Server was prompt and fast service. The food was great and had plenty to take home for later. Had a Rib Eye Dip sandwich with a good sized baked potato and also ordered the Derby Burger with fries for my dad. He also thought it was great flavor and just like he would make it :)
I always stop here on the way back from my work travels. This last time, a few weeks ago, I stopped and purchased bakery goods (lemon bars and brownies) for my daughter and friends in the dorm at CalState Long Beach. I spent about $40 to include a coffee for me. The person next to me bought 1 cookie and was offered all the cookies that were broken for free. So, that customer really got a good deal. It would have been nice if I was offered this, especially since both of us were standing next to each other and I spent alot more money. Female bakery employee had no common sense!
Just to clarify that they don't have halal meat available on site. You must call them at least 48 hours in advance. Even with advance notice, they many not always have Halal options at the time of your visit.
We always are excited to stop at Harris Ranch to and from going up north we live in the Antelope Valley..I could not wait to stop there this trip to see their beautiful Gift Shop at Christmas Time, Brighton Bags and accessories, different souvenirs, etc.,was I ever disappointed, I was told the new manager decided to change things, no Brighton Corner, cheap not worth looking at stuff.. the gift shop is SUPER DISAPPOINTING 😞, we ate at the Sports Bar, food was good, quite pricy but the experience was nice, atmosphere was festive but super super disappointed about the gift shop...
This is a review of the new RV park. The sites are pull through that are level with full hookups. The landscaping is excellent and the bathroom/showers are luxurious. My only challenge with the showers is there are no hooks to hang anything up. They do provide a bench to set all of your toiletries. The hot water takes a few minutes to get hot. Surprised there are any a hot water circulating pump to reduce water waste. When we arrived everything was great. After dinner in the restaurant however you could smell the cattle yards. It was just wam enough to need a window open in our trailer. We were able to sleep but we can imagine there are times the smell would be overwhelming. Wonderful amenities but for us this would be never more than a one night stay.
RV travelers here - for the last five years or so we'd stop here for the night while heading north or south. We'd pull into the parking lot in the evening, go get some food, sleep & get pastries in the morning. It was perfect. Now they have opened their RV Park. We stayed this time because we were tired and hungry but probably will be our last time. Over $50 to dry camp and if you need hookups it's over $100. Thats with the fees & taxes. Too much for those of us just passing through. The food is good, their "fast food" type BBQ in their convenience store is delicious and their pastries are out of this world! So, if you can afford it, do it. Thanks for the past five years Harris Ranch, we'll miss you 🙂 P.S. Strong cow smell wafts in sometimes (okay, often) but thats because, you know, cows.
Harris ranch resort is at the back of the Harris ranch restaurant area. The rooms are done in a rustic style and are neat and clean. The pool area is nice and it's open until 11:00
We did not stay at Harris Ranch Resort but had lunch at Harris Ranch restaurant. Staff is friendly and hospitable. We have gone there twice and both times we did not face long wait time. The food is tasty. We ordered the rib eye and filet mignon. Both were cooked well and to the temperature ordered. Fresh meat. Recommend checking out this spot.
We frequently travel I-5 and stop to dine, shop and occasionally sleep at Harris Ranch. Always perfectly prepared meals. But this stop did not include the shopping. What a surprise to walk through the sliding doors and find there wasn’t the large, seasonal, whimsical cowboy theme displays that made walking into Harris Ranch such a treat. We had many family photos in front of those displays. Then to find the gift shop empty of all the things that made it the Harris Ranch gift shop. No cowgirl boots, no cowhide purses, and so many other unique cowboy-ish items missing. Please don’t lose the cowboy/cowgirl charm we’ve all come to love about Harris Ranch. You made city folks feel like, just maybe, we could be a cowboy or cowgirl. Not everything needs to change.
Stopped at Harris Ranch for a break along I-5 and it was well worth it. I had the burger, which was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The beef tasted fresh and high quality. Someone at our table ordered the filet mignon, and it was outstanding, tender, with no fat and full of flavor. It did take a while to get our food, but you can’t rush a well-cooked meal. The prices are on the higher side, but you get what you pay for. The setting has a lot of charm, like an old-fashioned farmhouse with a touch of elegance. We only ate at the restaurant, so I can’t speak to the hotel, but as a dining stop, it’s a relaxing and quality break that definitely beats fast food on the highway.
This is a review of the restaurant in the hotel only as we stayed elsewhere. We entered the bar/lounge dining area and stood there waiting to be seated for 5 minutes. Finally, we decided to ask the bartender whether we should be waiting there for someone. We were told that she was seating another group. After another 3 minutes she arrived asking how many of us there were. No apology or thanking us for waiting. No welcoming smile or greeting. The service staff here look like they are too busy or occupied to make eye contact with you. Someone came by 10 minutes later to ask if we wanted anything to drink to start. We said we were ready to order. They said they would let their peer know but in the meantime, any drinks? We placed an order for their Harris Pale Ale. Meanwhile 3 more groups were seated. Other 2 tables received their drinks. (although they arrived 5-10 minutes after us) We were the last of the 3 tables to get our food order taken, and it's because we all waved our hands and yelled out to someone who had finished taking the neighboring table's order. Anyway, you can just imagine how the rest of the evening went. We did finally get our beer 15 minutes after ordering it. Food came soon after. Salad was 2 stars. Burger was 3 stars. (medium rare came our crispy and well done). Tri-tip sandwich was the best quality (4 stars) but needed more sauce or flavor. I had been wondering about this place for the 8+ years of driving to/through Los Angeles and San Diego. Surprised to see the 4+ star rating. Funny enough, when we left the host who sat us cheerily said, "Have a good one!"
It was a second take for my husband's and my honeymoon but the rooms were very underwhelming considering how much we paid for it. There were also things in the room that were dirty or inconvenient like the locations of the outlets. The shower & the spa was very nice. Overall, we did not hate the room or even our short stay but next time we'll save some money since we experienced the same quality for lower prices.
We had a steak here. Quality was solid. Our waiter was attentive, however we had to wait for nearly 30 minutes for our food, perhaps due to how busy they were.
So, Ive have passed this place a few times and decided to stop this last weekend. When the waiter brought my steak out he tipped the plate to far towards me and spilled all the butter and steak juices on my lap, he said sorry as he chuckled and didn't even offer a towel or napkins. Another waitress asked is we needed anything else and she immediately asked if he had spilled it on me, I replied yes ,she apologized and she went to get me warm a bar towel to try and clean up. I was also a bit disappointed on the flavor of my 14oz Riley, I wouldn't stop again
I’m writing this review because Harris Ranch has always been a favorite stop for us during family trips, and I truly hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests. As someone who works as a server and bartender myself, I understand how important teamwork, communication, and guest attention are; in a restaurant environment. When we were seated, we unfortunately waited about 20 minutes without anyone bringing waters or checking on us. During that time, there were several staff members nearby, with a few actively working and others standing together talking. We eventually had to ask one of the employees if someone could take our order. There was some confusion about who our server was, as one person directed us to another, and then he directed us back to her. Danny ended up taking our order and was very kind, and Kristina later took over and provided excellent service. Both of them were friendly and attentive, and we appreciated their efforts. However, another table that was seated about 15 minutes after us received their soup, salad, and entrées before we did, even though we had already ordered. We arrived around 9:00 PM, ordered at approximately 9:20 PM, and did not receive our food until about 10:10 PM. I want to emphasize that I don’t place blame on the staff members themselves. From my perspective, this seemed more like a systems or management issue rather than an individual performance problem. With menu prices in the $60–$70 range for steaks, guests naturally expect a higher level of service and coordination. Even basic steps like greeting the table and providing water promptly make a big difference in the overall experience. Despite the service challenges, the food was excellent. The steak was cooked beautifully and very juicy truly 10/10. We genuinely enjoy stopping here when traveling and hope that next time the experience reflects the high quality of the food. I’m sharing this feedback respectfully in hopes it helps leadership identify opportunities for improvement.
The restaurants separate from the hotel are not dog-friendly - patio seating is okay, but not indoor seating, which is useless if it's raining, or just rained. The tri-tip sandwich from the convenience store was disappointing in flavor though there was plenty of tri-tip. Different topic: there were plenty of Tesla Superchargers and a few Electrify America chargers.
We traveled this way about once a year to visit family up in Fresno area. We always look forward to stopping at the Harris Ranch resort for dining experience on this particular day we were seated and it was about at least 15 to 20 minutes before anybody offered us water or anything to drink. Finally, we got some drinks and then it was about another 15 or 20 minutes before anybody came to take our order I asked a young lady I believe her name is Maria. Could you please help us and she replied rudely somebody will be right with you. Finally an Asian lady fan and boutique invite to take our order. She was very nice and apologized for the other waiter, the food was good as always, though my partner wanted his steak well done, and it was medium. I would have to say this is one of the not so good experience we’ve had to hear. She seemed to be very busy , but very nice her name I believe was Charla . So to her, I want to say thank you very much but to the other young lady, I believe her name was Maria. It would’ve taken the same energy for her to be nice to us as it was for her to be rude once again if it wasn’t for this. We really enjoy stopping by and dining at Harris
The grounds are so pretty and I was looking forward to a lengthy stop on my long road trip. Skip the food- my order was incorrect & the correction came in the form of a ramekin of cold cheese (for a hot sandwich) and no follow up or delivery of the bbq sauce I asked for to try to sauce up the dry beef. Service was totally lacking.
Apparently new management has taken over and the longtime loved gift store during Christmas time is now awful and depressing. It’s been a tradition with my family that we look forward to each year and yesterday when we walked in this time, we were so disappointed with the small display. So sad and just not something to look forward to again.
Food is average at best. Hard to overcome the stench of the feed lots. Cars in the parking lot were covered with flies when we came out. Gross Service was good though.
I would’ve like to leave a great review to this place however it’s my 3rd time staying there and it’s very . There are a bunch of kids working not paying attention to what they’re doing. They seem to always screw the order somehow. Overpriced , average food and horrible service.
1/2/26 got in late, around 10pm, spent the night and was woken up at 7:30-8am by the cleaning lady slamming doors, talking extremely loud and laughing. Told the front desk and the manager came down to talk to us. The solution was to prop the door open so it wouldn’t get slammed anymore. I wish they would have done that sooner.
The prime rib and the steaks are good but they don't have any seasoning on them, I'm not sure why. Salt is for sure needed, at minimum. I've been there a handful of times over the years because other people wanted to go but the meat is just, meh. I ordered the "wedge" salad... The picture that I posted is what I got. 🤷 The steamed vegetables were the best actually.
The most over price, zero service hotel I have ever stayed in .Not even breakfast for an over priced accommodation, with old beds and pillows. The fromt desk does not care about the guest. They check you in and could care less about your existence here. The location is good while traveling , but for the price I would keep driving.
Ordered a baseball cut sirloin. It was basically just a sirloin, far from a true baseball cut. My wife ordered a burger that was $20 and was about half as good as a shake shack burger for twice the price. We stop here frequently on our way back and from Seattle and the last few times it has been bad service and average food. We’re done!
I have only experienced the Express BBQ. The brisket and tri-tip meat is sometimes really good, but overall inconsistent in preparation. More often than not, I have regretted making this stop after getting dried out, overcooked meat. Employees seem ambivalent at best. It's like they're doing me a favor by attending to my purchase, with no greeting or eye contact. I have stopped buying meals at the Express BBQ. Very expensive Inconsistent, blah food, with consistently poor customer service.
Went here for the food with high expectations, but was met with disappoint. It was my first time coming here after hearing great things. MY father and I ordered the 24oz porterhouse steak and it was not cooked as ordered. Its was also very tough and chewy. The carrots were also cold. We also ordered the Au Jus sauce multiple times but was never brought out to us. The lemonade on the other hand was delicious and very flavorful which is the only reason I give this place 2 stars. The service was was not up to expectations with little to no service at all. I asked for another lemonade and was met with a face of dicuss which was very unprofessional we're paying customers after all. And it wasn't brought out until 20 minutes later. Made me feel unwelcomed. We also asked for Au Jus and was given A1 sauce and tabasco sauce, tapatio instead. Didn't bother asking again because the service was abysmal .
Absolutely Atrocious Experience on Our First Anniversary – Would Strongly Advise Against Visiting My wife and I drove over an hour to Harris Ranch Restaurant yesterday to celebrate our one-year wedding anniversary, expecting a memorable evening. Unfortunately, what we experienced was not just disappointing — it was deeply upsetting and completely unacceptable. We arrived on time for our reservation and placed our orders for both food and drinks right away. Yet it took over 30 minutes just to receive our drinks, and a shocking two hours before our main courses — steak and lobster — were served. By that point, the steak was stone cold, and the meal as a whole felt like an afterthought. Rather than cause a scene on what was supposed to be a special night, we quietly chose to leave — but we left deeply dissatisfied and disheartened. To make matters worse, upon walking through the resort lobby, we were overwhelmed by the overpowering stench of cow manure. The odor was so noxious that I began gagging, and my wife actually vomited outside the building from how unbearable the air was. This was not only disgusting but entirely inappropriate for a place marketing itself as a “resort.” We expected a refined, celebratory experience. What we received was a long, frustrating, and frankly revolting evening that ruined what should have been a joyful memory for our first year of marriage. I would strongly discourage anyone from visiting this restaurant or resort, especially for a special occasion. It is not worth the time, cost, or emotional toll.
From what my parents said I thought it would be a good place to stop and try out after my dad passed away but found out no so good as how good the outside looks service from the start was rude and had vary poor customer service apperatione and care for the customer when host took us to the table and sat down they gave us this paper due to having a service dog the cooks and. Staff working were so able to to heard talking disrespectful about the customer and the waiter was rude and had no proper fine dining training whatsoever I would never return to this restaurant and don’t recommend to anyone with a family or friends
I just wanted to write to say that my husband got us a suite at the resort, which was great!!! We also drove 2 hours to get here. Then we went to have dinner at the Horseshoe Lounge, which I was excited for since it was my birthday and I ordered the fillet and my meat, mashed potatoes, and vegetables were COLD!! Not even luke warm! Not happy! We also ordered an appetizer and the waiter forgot about that as well. This was not the experience I was expecting, especially on my birthday! Just wanted to let you all know about the horrible experience on my birthday!!
Disappointing that I attended a conference and ordered a steak. They ran out and I got overcooked chicken breast. A steakhouse that runs out of steak is wild. Who would want hard chicken. The waitress was also rude about it and said we ran out of meat, left the plate and walked away. It’s not edible and the potatoes needed salt. Not impressed
This is strictly a restaurant review 2-22-26 evening, in the bar area. We have stopped here zillions of times but never will again. First it took 30 minutes to get a bottle of wine, and then it wasn't chilled, so sent it back. Then our dinner took over an hour to arrive and was wrong. A baked potato is not mashed potatoes. Hitting the women's potty before hitting the road, the toilets were not flushed with paper everywhere, and one even had poop smeared on it. So nope paying $168 will not happen again by us. In n out butger, it will be. So disappointed.
RV parking review. Very bad for RVs and trailers. No signs on where to park. There are signs where not to park. Finally figure out you go through Tesla lot and then in dirt lot. Again, no signs. A few simple signs would help a lot. No other RVs so others must already know.
Worst service! My husband and I both ordered tri tip sandwiches. The meat was so hard to bite through. I had to really pinch down hard to get it to tear apart while trying to keep the meat inside the bread. Our waitress did not check on us once. She didn’t ask if we wanted dessert or anything else. I still had some fries left that my husband was eating that were on a separate side dish. She asked if she can clear our plates. I said yes, but as he was reaching for a fry… hand was stretched out over it about to grab one, and she took it out from under him and walked away. We will not be going back.
We were excited about stopping here for lunch. My partner ordered Jack's favorite sandwich 10 oz steak on garlic toast for $40 ordered medium well but received very bland dry tough steak! I had the tri tip sandwich which was good but not anything to brag about. This place definitely did not live up to the hype. Ive had better steaks at common franchise restaurants. Definitely waste of $80.
