Very nice coffee shop in the middle of nowhere :) Giving drinks and pastries in glassware in Starbucks is a very nice touch.
This is a super nice starbucks. You can you can tell it was designed so that customers could work there (tables, chairs and WiFi). Or customers could take a break from a long drive. It's very spacious inside and they're very organized and friendly. The copies are made exactly the way you would expect them to be made at Starbucks which is very consistent .
People love it or hate it; I love the consistency from store to store. Busy times can cause a wait, order ahead and use the WiFi while waiting. Bring your own clean container to be green, though that makes it difficult to order ahead.
One of the best, cleanest, most stylish Starbucks I have ever seen. It’s in the middle of almost nowhere :) but so cozy, stylish makes you say “wow”
Can't go wrong with Starbucks! Cool that they have it in the most remote place! 🤩
This is the first main Starbucks driving south on the 5 (from the 152). Highly advise ordering from the all because they get extremely busy. The staff is the friendliest it seems, no matter how busy they get. If you have a doggo, remember to get em a pupaccino 🤙🏼 🐶
Very large for a Starbucks. Quick in and out. Large, clean restrooms. Friendly service. Convenient location right off of I-5. Various food and gas choices at same exit. Ample parking.
This is a great place to stop between Sacramento and Los Angeles. I was very happy when this location was built. I generally get an oat milk hot latte or a nitro cold brew with sweet cream. The drinks are always good and the staff is pleasant. I also appreciate the cleanliness of the store and large restrooms. It’s good for takeout or for taking a relaxing break from the road.
We mobile ordered and ordered more when we got there. Inside was spacious & had clean restrooms perfect stop for a long I5 trip. All our items were ready quickly and quality was consistent w other locations.
Staff was great! Very customer focused, kind and friendly. Everything was clean and well maintained. Not a location I would usually stop for, but I will from now on. Thank you for your service and kindness
Incredibly nice and helpful staff. Also very efficient, especially considering how busy this location gets with travelers. Shout-out to Amy specifically!
Great place to stop off 5! This is one of the largest Starbucks I’ve been too. It made for the perfect stop for our toddler to stretch his legs as the seating area is HUGE. Unlike most Starbucks that have single occupancy bathrooms, this one has multiple stalls (which is great for a heavily trafficked route). We also appreciated its location next to an Arco! Our goal was to make it to Kettlman city, but this ended up being a better place for a longer stop.
People here are really nice they saw me stuck on the side of the road n called me over to give a goodie bag and cold water for my dog n nice warm coffee for me so grateful God bless y'all!!
Uncrowded, huge. Some standing tables shaded in late PM. Clean restrooms. Indoor music is too loud. Nice view to the west. No stink from the doomed cows. No shade in parking lot but street has some.
My caramel macchiato was made perfect. The Barista was super friendly. Will definitely stop again when I'm in town
I was going through the drive through on a late 22nd Thursday afternoon and the girl in the pink sweater serving was so lovely and pleasant! She commented on my truck and she was just really lovely.
Given the location of this Starbucks, I was skeptical at first, but I was pleasantly surprised by how big and clean it was! The service was wonderful and the drink was made quickly and perfectly. Definitely earned the 5 stars.
Amazing customer service. Our drinks were accidentally made hot instead of blended and they were awesome and QUICK about making us some new ones. Thank you guys so much, this location is beautiful. There's lots of space for reading, studying and lots of ports for charging for travelers!!
Best Starbucks on I5 between Sacramento and Los Angeles!!!!
Literally an oasis in the desert. Great selection of unusual snacks I haven’t seen in other branches recently (adorable owl chocolate lollipop, healthy chickpea bites with avocado …), coffee on point as always. Chic modern interior & lovely folks working there too. A must when traveling on I5!
One of the biggest roadside Starbucks I’ve seen. If I had to stop for a work meeting or work on the road this is where I’d stop. Comfortable, clean, open, very clean bathrooms and very friendly staff. I’d stop here more often if I didn’t live 4 hours away.
I love coming to this Starbucks!! Legit sometimes I make the drive just to go to this one. Lmaooo!! (I live like 3 minutes away from my closest one) But my drink is always on point here. Anytime I can pass through here to get home, I will to stop here or if I just feel like making the 15 minute drive, I will.
Large parking lot, lots of indoor seating, friendly staff, and right off the 5 freeway. A great quick detour spot for a road trip rest stop, and they also have plenty of clean bathroom stalls. If you get a double chocolate brownie, they will even warm it up for you!
I've been visiting this Starbucks location for the past few years as part of my daily morning commute. The customer service here is excellent, and the store is always very clean and efficient. It's my favorite Starbucks location overall, and believe me, I've been to many Starbucks locations—they always treat me right here! The staff are friendly and attentive, no matter the time of day.
Me and my coworkers stop here every month when we do work nearby. Staff is great. I made a comment that my venti carmel ribbon crunch frappe never looked like the photo I saw on the menu. They made my drink look just like it. Nice personal touch.
It is one of the largest Starbucks I've been to. The atmosphere is chill and a great place to relax and work. Whatever your lifestyle will allow. We always stop here when traveling this way.
Very clean and spacious inside. A great stop off point for a snack or comfort break. Multiple stalls and sinks in the restrooms, which were functional and very clean! The drive through line looked to be swiftly attended to as well.
Large and spacious with plenty of power outlets. Parking is large too. Bathrooms have a few stalls so there was hardly a wait unlike other restrooms along the i5.
Love this location, the staff is always friendly and my White Mocha was delicious! They are also very fast, never waiting long.
New remodeled large hacienda style Starbucks with a shotgun layout. Friendly servers were the hottest i’ve seen per capita at any Starbucks. I’m coming back. Update Jan 2026, : they seemed to have fired most of the hot baristas.
The management of Starbucks should come to this store for a CEO undercover internship. The staff here are extremely excellent. The Italian iced shaken coffee they make is always very authentic, and it tastes better than many other stores. It has distinct layers. I go to about 70 to 80 Starbucks stores every year to buy coffee for the workers. There is a 50% chance that I will get a poorly made coffee. Only this store consistently makes perfect Italian iced shaken coffee. It shows that the staff here are very dedicated and responsible. This is the most authentic Italian iced shake coffee, shallow at the top and deep at the bottom. Now Starbucks stores make it different every time. The quality of this store is very stable, thanks to every staff member,谢谢我是中国人
Starbucks in Coalinga, CA, is a fantastic spot for anyone looking for a comfortable and spacious coffee experience. The staff here is simply amazing, going above and beyond to ensure a delightful visit. If you're planning a stop, you'll appreciate the abundance of tables, ample space, and plenty of outlets to charge your devices. Whether you're just passing through or looking for a cozy spot to unwind, this Starbucks has got you covered with its exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere.
Great pot stop for the drive between Nor Cal and So Cal! Placed mobile order and it was ready quicker than estimated. There is plenty of space to sit and hang, stretch your legs. Lots of tables to sit and eat or have the kiddos use their tablets 🤷♀️ also plenty of charging plugs. Drinks were spot on 😋 made just as ordered Restroom were clean with plenty of stalls, important when you've been on the road for a couple hours and don't like stopping at rest areas or gas station restrooms... Plenty or parking and saw a few doggie parents walking their pups 🐕 Will remember to stop by next time we make the drive up to San Fran.
Very cute Starbucks, staff was sweet and bathrooms clean. Lots of seating if you want to relax somewhere not in your car.
Very, busy Starbucks, but that is the case for many Starbucks on highway 5. The bathrooms were very clean regardless, and the employees are working hard to get your drink out. The cashier was friendly and helpful!
In regards to clean restrooms this ace is much cleaner than the other locations around. So this would be my number one recommendation for restrooms in the area before anywhere else. As for the store it's just like any other starbucks the staff are friendly here. Nothing special going on here aside from cleaner restrooms. If this review helps hit the like button so we can save other travellers the trouble of finding a bad restroom.
I've been here twice - one pleasant and other not so much. On busy weekends, I would really suggest not making mobile orders. I walk into this place to pick up my order 20 minutes later, the order was obviously not ready, I understand. But when asked a barista who looked tired, they just sighed and didn't even care to answer whereas they catered to every other request that another customer had - even handing out a straw - privilege or something else I don't know! Second barista came by, who took all the receipts from mobile kiosk and threw it aside literally - I knew that was the end of my order and I walked out. Well, I know very well they were overloaded. I reached out to customer care later to get this resolved, but please Starbucks - give realistic goals to baristas to reach, and realistic estimates to customers. That saves frustrations for both.
I got a tomato pesto sandwich to go. The wait was short. The server was friendly and I didn't want it heated. So I got my sandwich, took it to the car and resumed my trip home. I settled in, set the cruise, opened my sandwich, only to find it was basically bread with a little pesto. There were 1 & 1/2 very small slices of tomato and 1 or 2 basil leaves. That was it. Probably the most disappointing sandwich I'd ever had from Starbucks and I've had this particular sandwich many times.
I really wanted to give 5 stars to this Starbucks location. I'm doing 4 because I wanted to change my baby's diaper and for my surprise, the bathroom didn't have a changing table. The store has high chairs for kids, but no changing station. C'mon Starbucks!
Exquisite vibe at this place. Lovely location to rest up and recharge especially during a long journey. Staff were amicable and the service was very quick.
This Starbucks is great. Clean bathrooms, nice service. It does not smell like the outside. The reason I took off one star is the cow farming smell of coalinga.
Decor was amazing! Bathrooms super clean and ambient overall was super inviting. Service was a bit slow even though there was no more than 5 people, our orders took more than 10min. I guess because they had more drive-through customers but still.. a simple decaf in 10 min. For that I will give them 4 stars.
Good location just off the highway. When we got there in the morning it was crowded with customers but service was quick and efficient. Tried the impossible breakfast sandwich, it was good. Large space to sit both inside and outside, and people were keeping distance. The men's restroom unfortunately has just one urinal (rest are stalls) and that was dirty, plugged up and unusable. I'm sure they try to keep it clean.
4 stars only because i have been here many times and each time they are out of stock w an item lol. Great people. They deserve a company taking care of them ALWAYS <3
It was very smelly here, but a good rest stop. Bathrooms were relatively clean. No paper towels though, so you would need to air dry your hands.
Good amount of seating. Prompt staff and service despite heavy rush. Many parking around.
Busy place for early travelers. Drinks were quick. Food was very slow. Atmosphere, not as clean as my neighborhood Starbucks. Looks like they are shy on help. However, bathrooms were clean. This is our stop when we drive down to SoCal. We will definitely be stopping many times more.
So, I am just going to say, "Don't stop at the Coalinga Starbucks on Sundays!" It was packed, customers were rude, and the bathrooms were dirty. The employees were working their tails off but the sheer volume of customers overwhelmed their ability to provide the service you would normally expect.
Stopped here for a quick tea/coffee break on my way to Arizona. I had ordered for a hot black tea and a coffee for my partner. When I needed a bit of milk on my tea I asked the staff behind the counter who was available at that moment. I requested him just a splash of milk on my beverage. He just took out a jar of milk and dropped a lot of milk on my tea , without any control even when I asked him to stop, which totally spoilt my drink. No words after that and he just went back to his work. I didn't want to go back to change the tea as I was already late and tired. And I just left later on frustrated and unsatisfied with the drink.
Ordered via mobile and 15 minutes later my empty cups were still sitting on the counter. The barista at the cash register told me when I inquired: “oh, they’re probably working on them”. Nope. The empty cups were sitting on the counter and there was no one working the coffee machine. No apology from the first barista I asked, but the guy who actually took the cups and made my order did apologize for the wait and made our drinks correctly.
The largest Starbucks ever, and one of the dirtiest. Trash overflowing, dirty tables, towels on the floor, slow staff.
Pastry case had dead and living flies inside case and bathrooms were filthy. The parking lot full of trash.I stop here every other month. The staff is always friendly and great, but the inside is gross. Need to work on keeping it clean and the fly issue due to Harris Ranch. Maybe a fly fan at front door and drive thru. Before health department gets called.
First off, yes, it’s busy, but the bathrooms here are clean and there’s more than one. There is plenty of space to walk around and stretch your legs. If you want to sit down, you can bring your charger and charge your phone. They have outlets in every corner of the room. The line is long and we had to wait a few minutes for our order but we didn’t mind. The employees were NOT “Starbucks friendly people” and they aren’t wearing black either, but maybe because this is a quick stop for most people.
Don't go if it's busy and your in a time crunch. I ordered 10 minutes ahead with the app, and still waited 20 minutes for my one drink. They have plenty of space, though, as it's an old Burger King.
How long is too long to receive your order? I ordered online, I received my drink right away. I sat down, a family of 5 came in after I had been sitting for over 10 mins. They received ALL their food. I nicely asked the barista if they received my order. Her words were “they’re backed up” then she gives the man his food, who had just ordered. Finally, 16 minutes later they call my name. I ordered oatmeal, they didn’t give me any of the topping, when I saw another customer put all her topping on her oatmeal. I even gave them a tip. I used to be in customer service and I know how meaningful a tip is. This was a Tuesday at 10:13 am, with 3 baristas, they were not busy.
I went in to order an espresso, which but the way was not in the menu above, the girl taking the order was very nice and simply said they could make it for me, so I ordered a double shot of espresso with soy milk, have her my name for the order and waited. There were about 4 customers at the time, there were 2 girls, one attending the drive thru and the other the customers inside. She called 2 orders ahead of me, then she just left a cup at the counter with a sticker on. Never called my name for the order, after a few minutes of looking stupid just standing there I then walked toward the cup, looked at the name on it and asked her if it was a double espresso with soy milk, and without even making eye contact with me while looking busy talking to the other girl, she replied: -"yes it is....", I never ordered a cold espresso, yet that's what I received. I just walked away with my supposedly double espresso, "COLD" in my hand. I noticed that girl sort of looked a bit annoyed, she acted as if she was afraid of messing up her manicure or very close to that, her demeanor was certainly the one of a Queen looking down upon her servants when she replied to me regarding my coffee. Poor customer service, completely different to the girl who took my order.
When I received my matcha latte, 3/4 of my glass was filled with ice!!
Rude blonde lady named Melissa told me I can’t bring my dog in the store. I’ve brought her into plenty of Starbucks before and seen other people bring dogs in as well. Never had this issue before.
The seating area was enormous, spacious clean and empty. There were many employees some just standing around some were working. I placed my order and went to the ladies room. . . absolutely no paper products. . . ladies.... I mean NONE. 😐🙄😒 SO what do we do??? Seat covers. I mentioned it when I came to get my coffee.... She said ok. 😐😐😐 aaaannnnnd not one person moved to do anything... Not even the ones just standing around. I get that they get busy. But to be Sooo overstaffed and can't even stock the restrooms is crazy ridiculous. I was just driving through... Thank goodness.
Slt Car Cf Ncb was poorly made. I had this same drink a few dozen times before and this one is by far the worst I've had. Also, two employees ignored me for a bit goofing around with one another. I wouldn't have minded if they were busy and I wasn't the only person in there standing over at the counter waiting to pick up one of the two mobile orders just out of reach of customers. Once one of the employees brings a drink over for another customer who came in an ordered one. I tell him the name on my mobile order and his response was "oh, you have to say mobile order." Pretty poor customer service.
This is the dirtiest Starbucks I've ever visited. Trash cans overflowing, women's bathroom disgusting. When I told an employee about it, she replied, we'll try to get to it. It was 5pm, not a heavy morning rush. I didn't stop for a coffee, I didn't want to catch anything! Give this place a miss.
Slowest starbucks ever!!!! There was a light crowd but it took more than 10 mins to make one drink. The outside was so stinky, drinking coffee but all I smell was cow poop. Definitely not stopping at this area anymore.
Today was the worst experience. I've been going for years to this starbucks. Today when I asked for a straw the lady just threw it at me I asked for another one because I just couldn't belive it and she did the same. When I asked another girl where I could complain she said I'm so sorry but that's our manager. Honestly it's the worst experience I've ever had. I could only imagine the training these employees are going to get from her.
This is not like any other starbucks. When you walk in it's like you walk into a biker bar everyone staring at you. No one greeted me. That's cool but when you make me wait with no greeting for super long then act like I'm disturbing your day when I order then ai had to take some time outta my long drive to report you. She wore a ribbon in her hair. Then the guy with the beard didn't even call out my name forcing another person to grab my drink. Worst service ever never stopping at this starbucks again.
Very dirty floor. Trash cans overflowing.
Edit: they are open again as of today 1/15/22, normal hours to 9 pm. The sign on the door says that they are temporarily closed and are trying to reopen soon, so I am guessing staffing issues, but come on Starbucks, if you are going to be closed for a while, update your Maps listing with a note so that people don't plan their trips around stopping here and then get disappointed. It's easy to mark a location Temporarily Closed in Maps, and you can edit your About section to give the reason, but at least give us a note instead of pretending to still be open.
Stopped in with the intention of escaping the heat for about half an hour because my car AC is out so I asked the cashier how long they were opened. They said in about another 2 hours, so I purchased a drink and used the restroom, came back to the lobby seating area suddenly closed off as if they don't want to deal with a mess. Maintaining that Starbucks has gone from customer-focused to being lazy and profit-hungry. So much for a "third space"
What I didn’t like is that they call their friends to shop for them when new merchandise comes in and took them all special the Barista Bear item.
The blonde cashier didn’t charge me for my two items. Waited forever for 1. 2nd brunette girl was rude as if I was trying to steal the 2nd item when it was an error on their part. They took care of me in line, with a 3rd equally unenthusiastic and unprofessional cashier who didn’t inform the growing line, so a Karen in line decided to tell me there’s a line. Poor customer service, rude people and customers, long wait. Get your oven fixed and please retrain your staff.
I went at 5 am , they were running late I believe, I saw a girl at the window so I pulled up to ask when they were open because I am not from here and thought I could have been wrong ... she saw me and just completely ignored me .. then she finally rolled her eyes right at me and stuck her finger at me to go around the drive through again. She was SO RUDE. I went back through and I asked her what time they opened because she seemed upset I was there ... she just stayed quiet . I ordered and she wasn't nice at the window either when I picked it up. I felt very disrespected and I didn't appreciate it. She could have simply opened the window and said nicely that they were running late and to go around but she chose to roll her eyes and put her finger to me . Would never ever recommend or go back.
Starbucks used to be a good coffee. Any drink or pastry was worth the wait, unfortunately that has changed. Now days their drinks and pastries are expensive, bland with too much sugar and pastries taste like cardboard.
The door and google said this location closes at 9:30. Monday-Sunday. We got there at 8:45 and they were closed and wouldn’t let us in to use the restroom or grab a coffee. They said only drive through was open but the sign says they’re open until 9:30 pm. Not a good thing for travelers. Either update the sign on both google and your door, or keep the store until the time you are claiming to be open. Thanks
The lines for the drive up and at the register were outrageously long. Close the doors, keep everyone working on the drive up only. We decided to leave and get gas station coffee.
We are on a 12 hour road trip and decided to stop at this Starbucks for breakfast. My husband forgot to order his banana nut bread so we ordered it at the window(very politely) . The young lady first asked what pastry we wanted then she proceeded to say "no, I'm sorry but we are too busy to to take orders at the window". There was only one car behind me 😕. We just said thank you , paid, and left. I did end up calling starbucks to complain because it didn't feel right. I would've just taken the bread cold.
Stopped through the Coalinga Truck Stop Starbucks on our way from Sacramento to Riverside to drop my oldest son off at college. This Starbucks is beautiful and clean--the staff not so nice. The woman who helped us, wish I had looked at her nametag, was super rude. She did not smile, greet us, or do anything helpful besides key in our order. When I was trying to think of the name of the double smoked bacon breakfast sandwich, I said something along the lines of "double smoked cheddar sandwich" and she stares at me, sighs, and says "I'm sorry I don't know what you're saying". She points to the side of her and says "the breakfast items are listed on that sign if that helps". I then order it exactly by the name it goes by--because I guess it's too far of a guess to know what I mean when I said double smoked, cheddar, sandwich. So rude! Are you just trying to be difficult and unhappy? Are you just trying to fluster me? Why? You are paid to work here and I am a paying customer. Anyway, rudest Starbucks I've ever been to and I LOVE Starbucks. I drink a Venti Americano with heavy cream almost every day and have tried so many Starbucks in this nation, I can't even count them. Anyway, all this to say, if you don't like your job then find another one somewhere else...you get PAID to do your job so why do you act like it's an inconvenience to DO THE JOB? Don't recommend.
They should get a new manager. The worst service ever. 15 people in line, one register open. I was standing in line for 15 minutes, and only two people moved. I had to leave if I stayed; probably be an hour wait. This branch has zero care for their customers. But that’s the world we are living in. No one cares. And they weren’t short-staffed.
