Recensioni di Tacobar College Station
We loved the service and ability to watch the aggie game while we ate. The chicharrones deserve a lot of attention; they were delicious! We also thought the raspberry margaritas were very good, we got the matamoros and classic pastor street tacos and corn cup and we really enjoyed everything. The salsa was very spicy, I didn't dare more than a drop and should have asked for a milder salsa. Someone said the pastor was a little salty. Thank you for a great time. We hope to come back for some of the weeknight deals 😋
Our friends told us about this place so we met them here for dinner. It was our first time we walked from our hotel but it was a bit hidden, overall the guy that took our order was friendly and accommodating. The food was so delicious that we came back for lunch the next day, we got street corn as an appetizer soooo delicious I got no crema ( sour cream ) for dinner which is the pictures. I got the street tacos plate Matamoros style bistec for lunch I got pastor, lunch was just as a delicious as dinner it was pretty empty both times we came in but I guess cause it’s a bit hidden in that shopping square also cause we came during a weekday. The tomatillo salsa was not spicy to me but it was delicious I should have gotten a Serrano for lunch and I forgot. My husband was trying to get Barbacoa tacos for lunch but they were out, the guy at the front was super apologetic which we totally understand he just order carnitas and bistec instead. We will definitely be back for breakfast! Since that’s what we have not tried yet.
We got the street tacos and guacamole and thought they were all very good. We were excited to visit a taco place that was in this location. We will definitely be back!
This has quickly become our favorite Mexican restaurant in BCS. Service is absolutely phenomenal! This time we had the California burrito, a side of refried beans, two volcanes, and chicken fajita nachos. I had the watermelon lemonade and my husband had a fountain drink (they have Boots drinks which are awesome!) The portion sizes are perfect.
Walked in around 10AM to get some work done before my group showed up for our 11:30 Lunch Bunch. It was dead around 10AM, which was perfect for what I wanted to do. PLUS, I got to work in a truly unique and beautiful space. The decor, the colors, the attention to detail was all superb. The service was absolutely top-notch and you can tell that they truly care about making your experience awesome. Even though we had a group of 15 or so, we were all served in a timely manner, everything came out how we asked, and we simply just had a really good time. Will visit again for work and tacos soon!
So i come to this restaurant Taco Bar, and the Guero was amazing! Service was awesome! I left my Apple Card behind and came back the next day and Ramon said sir u left ur card behind last night but we had no way of contacting you! Aside from food being delicious they are honest as well!
We ate here during the second day of my daughter’s NSC. Glad I found this place .. great service, drinks and food were great. We will be back .. and if you are thinking about getting some tacos .. stop by here.
We had a variety of dishes here, and they were all great! Specialty tacos, street tacos, and the loaded nachos (pictured) were all amazing. A bit more authentic than a typical taco place, still comforting food, prices aren't bad either. We've already come back multiple times!
Great food and great service, best tacos in town and excellent combinations. I went back a few days ago and they still have an amazing service and great food, hands down may Mexican or taco place to go in college station. I've been a client since 2016!!.
How is this place so empty on a Saturday morning? The customer service was on point, the food was absolutely AMAZING. They are tucked back but definitely worth finding this place! It took less than 5 minutes for the food to hit the table.
I wantered the plate. It comes with rice and beans and your choice of meat and I always get two different Meats. I got pico de gallo and cilantro on top some jalapenos. They also bring two different types of hot sauces. They are green and red. They do not serve chips and salsa at the table. The employees are always super friendly very nice very courteous and they know the menu very well. They bring your food to the table. Food is very tasty. And has become my brand new favorite place to get tacos in Bryan College Station area
I am desperately craving the "Matamoros" tacos from Tacobar, if you happen to be in College Station, these taco place is a must! we got our food within 5 minutes of ordering and then ordered even more because they were SO good! and OMG the Churros for desert with Dulce de Leche were the cherry on top!! I would love to go back soon because these tacos are authentic, and DELICIOUS, also the Mezcal Drink they have is Very Good!
Just happened to come on a Tuesday and got the $1.50 street tacos. They’re delicious and lots of meat! Margaritas are really good too
We had been missing great, fresh biscuits since we moved here. Monument's biscuits are the real deal! Friendly staff, cool place, just awesome. I recommend the corned beef hash (it comes with some sweet potato fries, but you can order it without), it was delicious. New favorite breakfast place! We sat in a booth and the dividers make it easy to hold a conversation even when it's busy.
I've lived in Georgetown for 7 years and I regret not trying this restaurant sooner. It is the kind of diner that instantly makes you feel at home. From the moment you walk in, it has that classic old-school charm. The food is pure comfort: generous portions, amazing flavors, and recipes that feel like they haven’t changed in decades (in the best way possible). Everything tastes homemade, hearty, and satisfying, whether you’re craving breakfast or lunch. I had the Monument salad (try with the maple vinaigrette) with a soup and my husband had the Migas plate with home fries and a pancake on the side. The service is friendly, like they’ve known you forever. I highly recommend and will be going back to try more dishes!
Great diner, very busy, delicious food. Well worth the ten minute wait for the table. Our server was very friendly and prompt on the coffee refills, that is always appreciated. I ordered two buckwheat pancakes with candied pecans and banana slices, with a side of two scrambled eggs. I left feeling very full and satisfied. I will definitely return here again. Thank you Monument Cafe.
Very open and comfortable environment. The service was friendly and great! I got the biscuits with sausage gravy. Ok...scratch made biscuits and gravy...amazing. Also they give you a basket of the biscuits and whipped butter. My daughter got the waffles, they hit the target for sure! My wife got the breakfast sandwich with bacon. All of it was amazing!!
I’ve been living in Georgetown for over a year and I’m so upset with myself that I have only recently gone. Truly a Georgetown GEM. Extremely packed and bustling but rightfully so! Delicious food, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere which is odd to say because it’s packed and loud, but somehow, it felt homey. Everything from the biscuits to the pie was 10/10. If you’re in Georgetown or if you’re not, it’s worth a visit!
We make it a point to stop at Monument Cafe whenever we are in Georgetown. This is one of the best cafes in central Texas. The menu is fairly small but that allows Monument to focus on getting everything on it right. Breakfast is the star meal here. Everything from standard eggs and bacon to stuffed breakfast burritos (I love those) , breakfast tacos and migas. Coffee is smooth and kept full. Lunch is mainly sandwiches and burgers. They look delicious but I can't ever seem to not order breakfast here. We usually take a cinnamon roll with us for dessert later. They are so cinnamony ( I know that's not a real word). Make sure you check the board next to the hostess on the way in for specials of the day. Plenty of parking in the lot next door but street construction makes it a little challenging to reach the restaurant. Definitely worth the trip for breakfast or lunch. Monument Cafe closes at 3PM.
Great food, fast service, and easy parking!” Monument Café is one of my favorite spots in Georgetown. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. The staff is friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. I also love that the parking is easy and convenient — a big plus when you’re in a hurry or visiting with family. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to!
5 Stars – A Must Stop in Georgetown! Monumental Cafe absolutely lives up to the hype and then some. We stopped in after hearing great things, and every bite proved the praise was well earned. We started with Anna’s Granola: Greek yogurt, fresh berries, crunchy granola, and a drizzle of honey. It was light, flavorful, and right up my alley. The biscuits with sausage gravy were rich and comforting, and the eggs benedict were perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. One of the highlights was the mimosa flight. Every juice was squeezed fresh in-house and you could taste the difference. The strawberry and watermelon were muddled to perfection, and the pulpy grapefruit and orange mimosas were bold and refreshing. We also had the pearl sugar waffles (phenomenal), the egg taco, and a side of sausage and over-medium egg, all delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We will definitely be back the next time we’re passing through Georgetown!
Great spot for weekday brunch! My grilled chicken and fries were amazing and our server Leia was very kind and attentive. The chicken comes with an herb butter that enhances the dish without overpowering it and the fries are Whataburger size and shape but with a much nicer crisp. We were sat immediately as it was a Monday around 11 AM and our food came out hot under 15 minutes after we ordered it. Come early for the coveted cinnamon rolls, as they are gone by 11 AM!
What a great diner experience! You get your moneys worth, the food portions are huge. Even the lemonade is meant to be shared. Highly recommend the chicken fried steak with onion rings and corn beef hash. The chicken fried steak and onion rings are coated with light batter. They are really tasty but a bit salty for me. Nevertheless, they are still tasty. You will need to wait for a table for large parties, but for 2 people, we were able to seat at the counter with very little wait time. The biscuits are delicious and must try their coconut cream pie! Highly recommend this cafe with great service and food!
This is Georgetown’s crown jewel when it comes to comfort food. Who else would bring complimentary biscuits before you even order? Breakfast is served all day, and the choices on the menu are extensive for lunch as well. The Chicken and Grits is wonderful! The daily specials are also very good. I’ve arrived about 11:00 on weekdays twice recently and was able to be seated immediately, but both days by the time I left, every table was full. There is a giant free parking lot just next door.
Breakfast on a beautiful Saturday morning! Wait time was quick with coffee and outside and inside waiting area. Cinnamon rolls are exceptional. You can practically smell the Cinnamon across the table! Frosting is creamy, sweet goodness! Breakfast burrito was flavorful and fresh. Loved it. Service was attentive and helpful.
Delicious tacos and great service. Only down side is both the flour and corn tortillas were very hard and either overcooked or not freshly made.
Read Google reviews and visited with family for dinner last night. Should have trusted my instincts - almost empty on a Saturday (college move-in) night! The entrance area was a bit funky with a queue/crowd stanchion pole plonked randomly in front of the entrance door and wet floor signs greeting you as you enter. Apart from 3-4 people at the bar and a diner or two elsewhere, the place was empty. Interior was a bit funky too though looked clean. Service at the cash register as well as with the food was friendly and excellent. Food consisting of Queso with chips, Street Corn, Matamoros Street Tacos (Beef and Chicken), Veggie Taco, and Cochinita Pibil Taco (make your own taco) arrived promptly. The chips were cold while the Queso was warm…the Street Corn was runny and flavorless, the pork in the Cochinita Pibil Taco was too salty. The Salsa Station by the drinks stand had runny, flavorless Salsa in the dispensers. The portions were ample, however, Overall, the experience did not come together as expected. Reminded one of a family-run place that is struggling to make it. Didn’t have the looks of a fully professional set up. Meal with a healthy tip set us back $48; felt it would have been better spent elsewhere, sadly.
First time here. It is mostly tacos from what I saw on the menu. Ordered the El Jefe and two Matamoros Street tacos with fajita meat. You order from a counter and then take a seat and your meal is brought out to you. I don’t like that when you pay at the counter and it asks you to add a tip before you are able to evaluate the service. I selected the 18% which amounted to $3,37 and the only service I received was the food brought to my table. No one checked back or made any attempt to interact with me during the meal. Your food comes out without any utensils so anything that falls out of your taco you have to pick up and eat with your hands so make sure you wash them. Lol There is also no salt, pepper, salsa, or napkins on the table. You can go back to the counter to get napkins but I didn’t see any of the other items I mentioned anywhere to be found??? The inside was not really clean and I was the only customer for a while so we’re not too busy. My table needs to be wiped down and there were napkins on the floor at my table. The Matamores was definitely the star of the show in my dinner plate. They fry the outer tortilla with some type of cheese that gives it a unique and delicious flavor. The fillings are pretty good too. My three tacos, a soda, and an order of fries were $23.64. Another issue that irked me was the price of the fries on the menu is $2.95 but on my check it was $3.50?? Not a big deal but I do expect the menu to reflect the actual price you will be charged. Overall it was not bad but and I am glad I tried them out but don’t think I will be back.
I wanted to try this place for a while. I ordered chips and salsa, elote, and street tacos. I absolutely love chips and salsa, but would rate this one a 5/10. It is served warm. The elote didn’t quite taste like elote to me. It sort of had a strange after taste. I did enjoy the street tacos (the rice and beans were average). The meat was very flavorful and seasoned and the green salsa is very good and spicy!
It was busy, but it was a Saturday at lunch so that's understandable. Server did a great job. My son enjoyed the club sandwich, I loved the quinoa bowl, and everyone liked the fries. Quinoa bowl was a great price but other items, like the chicken breast plate, were high for the quantity. No real complaints but would not go again.
I just ran in thinking who can mess up a taco? It was lunch time and only one table was there and the tacos really had very little flavor. I thought the pork would have been cooked in alot of great spices but it was tasteless. The sauces were good but for what I paid I could have had full meal...rice and beans etc. I would definitely pass on this. Oh, place was sticky dirty too.
My food was very very salty. I couldn’t even eat it. Someone needs to measure the salt respectfully. I ordered a babacoa taco couldnt even eat it, my other taco a bean and egg sandwich was also salty . You know when you eat too much salt your mouth starts to feel weird that’s how much salt was in my tacos. My third taco bean n cheese was more bearable but truthfully I wouldn’t know since all the salt bothered my taste buds. I am being honest not rude I use to like this place even recommended it. Idk if today was a bad day since it’s been a while that I’ve ate here but I felt someone should know. Sorry hope it’s better in the future.
I had a really disappointing experience here. I ordered one vegetarian taco and they completely lost my order — I waited about 30 minutes before they finally brought it out. When they did, it wasn’t even what I ordered. They gave me a taco with meat in it. For a simple order to be both extremely delayed and incorrect is frustrating, especially when you’re specifically asking for vegetarian. Definitely not coming back anytime soon.
