Don’t know why this place has such a low rating. I came here alone and had a great time. My server was super sweet and friendly. I ordered a mimosa and it was one of the best mimosas I’ve ever had. They brought out chips & other aperitifs. Atmosphere was great too. Don’t know what people are complaining about. Only ended up paying $11.

We were a group of 10 that wanted to have lunch on a busy Christmas sunday. The team was very friendly to accommodate us and to put some tables together outside. With the heaters on, some blankets, it was the perfect atmosphere. The food was really good and staff went above and beyond, even for the children. We will definitely go back when we are in Como. Lovely place and great location.

Stopped here for an Aperitivo on a Friday night. Things were closing early, not sure why, possibly as it was the Friday before Christmaa but these were still open. Quite small inside as most bars are in Como but it packed a lot of atmosphere. There were two small parties in and they were enjoying themselves. We had an Aperol and a Bellini. Think it's the biggest Bellini we have ever had. The nibbles were a good mix of meat, olives and crudo. Even the dogs got a biscuit. Como can be expensive compared to other areas in Italy but we found the prices here to be very reasonable. Really enjoyed our night.

Very cute Café with a very friendly service. We only drank something so I can't judge the food. The Spritz was good and very big for the price. As a appetizer you get a plate of typical Italian starters for free which was very tasty.

After wandering the streets of Como came upon Bar Mariett. Quiet area, away from the hustle. We enjoyed lovely drinks and apps.

Bar carino, cozy, ciò che cercano di solito i turisti, ossia un posto che sembra autentico, piccolo, gentile, per combattere contro queste terrazze da 100 tavoli che stanno nelle piazze e che offrono poco o niente di autentico e con un anima. L unica pecca che ho notato, è che hanno in sala una ragazzina molto giovane, impaurita da una sorta di prepotenza da parte dei suoi colleghi che sono ovviamente “più esperti”, ma poco educati. La bravura nell assumere dei ragazzini, sta nel fargli fare ciò che possono fare facilmente, e piano piano insegnargli ciò che invece nn possono fare facilmente. E sopratutto, “molto maleducato mostrare tutti questi sentimenti e asti davanti a 30 persone sedute che fanno colazione, facendo vedere facce brutte, risposte secche e scortesi verso di lei, e segni evidenti di stanchezza” Se siete stanchi, chiudete 2 giorni e andatevene a sdraiarvi al mare. Per il resto, bar carino.

Bar caffè storico di Como, in centro. Le ragazze che servono sono molto carine e gentili, abbastanza piccolo lo spazio interno, ma con possibilità di tavolini all'esterno con lampade a gas riscaldanti. Buone le brioche.

Cute, almost French bistro. Half tourist half regulars. The covered pation seating is larger than the inside. Smoking is allowed on the patio. Service was very efficient.

Finally tried aperitivo at this spot after walking past it so many times — and I’m glad I did! I ordered a Negroni and a Bellini (Prosecco with peach/nectar purée). If you’re not a fan of Aperol and prefer something on the sweeter side, I highly recommend the Bellini — or try a Rossini (with strawberry). The cocktails were well-balanced and smooth, not overly strong, which is refreshing because some places really don’t measure their pours properly! As for the aperitivo snacks, they were pretty standard — nothing special, but decent enough to enjoy with the drinks.

2023: Quality has suffered, unfortunately. We got celery root, olive oil/balsamico, peanuts and 3 small breads as apperizers. Pizza is average. Drinks are still great, although serving size seems smaller. Hope that they get back to be great again one day - fingers crossed. 2021:Great staff and the place. Cocktails are great and appetizers as well! Highly recommending.

Abbiamo fatto una tarda colazione, con due cappuccini e una brioche alla veneziana, che ci siamo divise perché era l'unica rimasta. Location molto curata ma il servizio abbastanza pessimo. La cameriera non aveva molta voglia di lavorare. Prezzi alti, ma d'altronde siamo a Como, cosa potevamo aspettarci?

Ho letto molte recensioni negative riguardanti il servizio ed il personale sgarbato,io ho preso solo un caffè al tavolo e non ho rimostranze da fare.Il cameriere è stato cortese,il servizio rapido nonostante il bar fosse quasi pieno,quindi per me è stato tutto nella norma.

Piccola pausa in una giornata a Como. In due persone al tavolo all' interno del locale abbiamo preso 2 bibite e una crostata ai mirtilli. Spazio interno del locale veramente piccolo che al massimo può contenere 2 coppie. Se ci sono un po' di persone e si crea la fila per il bagno, anche se si è seduti vi sembrerà di essere in fila anche voi! Capisco la vicinanza al Duomo di Como ma i prezzi sono troppo alti: 2 bibite al tavolo 5,50€!

Very nice little bar for coffee and drinks. Beautiful interior design, very good coffee and pastries. Unfortunately the barkeeper had some sort of nervous breakdown and yelled at us as we kindly and discreetly pointed out that there were a hair or small black filament in the cake icing. He stuffed the piece of cake in his mouth and told me to wait until he drops dead because of the hair. It was no joke since he was very serious and mad and wouldn’t’ stop yelling. Where I work, if there is a hair (or any foreign object in the food), we apologize and bring a fresh piece. Even if it wasn’t a hair and it was “part of the icing”, like he said, his reaction was completely out of line. His highly unprofessional tantrum left us shocked and unable to enjoy our stay. What a pity in such a cute little place! Customer service: nonexistent.

Just stopped off here for a coffee and it was actually really good. The issue was with the barista behind the counter who was very aggressive and intimidating to another customer. The woman was sat with a child who accidentally spilled sugar on the table and was then shouted at and thrown a cloth to clean it up. The man was very aggressive and the situation escalated very quickly when the woman said he was being rude. The woman eventually left. My wife told him to calm down and he proceeded to stare at us repeatedly until we left, just a bully. A bizarre way to treat customers, or any child really. The waitress was very nice and quite apologetic, I’d imagine the barista is a nightmare to work with.

Personale molto freddo e poco cordiale. Aperitivi miseri. Ti dicono che ti portano il tagliere in omaggio col drink ed invece sono 2 cosine. Se chiedi il tagliere a parte sono €20 in più. Sedute ad un tavolo con attaccati una pianta ed una lavagna

Avete presente gli spritz (che nulla hanno a che fare con il vero spritz ovviamente) da 1 litro a 2 euro già pronti al supermercato?? O lo sciroppo che prendevi da bambino quando ti ammalavi ? Beh in questo locale hanno saputo fare di peggio! semplicemente offensivo! Complimenti anche al pessimo servizio e alla "simpatia" del personale! Cambiate mestiere!

Siparietto interessante. Chiesto un caffè al banco il titolare risponde che non ha personale (ho contato due persone a gestire i tavoli e una al banco) per gestire sia il banco che i tavoli e mi invita a spostarmi a un tavolo per l'ordinazione. Avevo fretta e chiedo per cortesia il caffè al banco... Niente da fare. Entrano 4 poliziotti e compaiono magicamente 4 caffè al banco. Segue discussione inutile sul valore delle regole e del trattamento ricevuto. Vago tono di sfottó di sottofondo. Abbandono la tenzone con una chiara idea dell'etica professionale del personaggio. Chiederei alla polizia di Como un commento. Sconsigliato per chi ama gentilezza e onestà intellettuale.

Esperienza deludente. Aperitivo ore 12. Ordino prosecco e qualche stuzzichino, patatine o olive. Portano il prosecco, servito senza sottobicchiere. E vabbè. Stuzzichini nulla. Attendo, poi faccio promemoria. Non arrivano più. Ho fatto in tempo a terminare l'aperitivo. E alla seconda richiesta, posta sempre un modo gentile e con spirito comprensivo, la cameriera ha risposto ben due volte in modo arrogante e supponente. Insomma dei veri maleducati senza professionalità. Ragazzi, avete sbagliato lavoro. E non siete degni dello storico nome del locale di cui avrete anche acquistato la location, ma non la reputazione storica che rappresenta. Fatevi un bagno di umiltà e cambiate atteggiamento. Una vera delusione. Vi insegno una cosa basilare: le patatine vanno portate insieme all'aperitivo. E si risponde sempre gentilmente al cliente, tanto più se si pone a voi in modo gentile. Adios

Siamo stati ieri sera, aperitivo carissimo per quello che viene offerto: personale che dovrebbe cambiare lavoro. Il cliente paga, in questo caso tra l'altro carissimo almeno un briciolo di cortesia! Bagno peggio dell' autogrill, sicuramente la colpa è dei clienti ma per un posto del genere il personale dovrebbe controllare e pulire. Manco la carta da culo c'era.

Esperienza gravissima e inaccettabile. Ci siamo seduti al tavolino e abbiamo ordinato delle cioccolate calde. Mentre stavo bevendo la mia, ho assistito a una scena che mi ha letteralmente fatto passare la voglia: al tavolo accanto stavano sparecchiando dei clienti appena andati via e in una tazza era rimasta della cioccolata calda non finita. La barista, invece di gettarla nel lavandino, ha sversato la cioccolata avanzata direttamente nella macchina per preparare le cioccolate calde, per poi lavare la tazza come se nulla fosse. Un comportamento totalmente contrario a qualsiasi norma igienica e di buon senso. Dopo aver visto una cosa del genere è impossibile fidarsi di ciò che viene servito. Non tornerò e sconsiglio vivamente il locale

Sono stata in questo bar e praticamente mi è stato vietato prendere il caffè, il barista mi ha trattato malissimo ed è stato molto maleducato sgarbato e violento addirittura mi ha potato i soldi sul banco e ha tolto in modo violento la tassa dal banco. Ho avuto paura.

To the young waitress that served us this morning: is not right to give an attitude to customers that want to order. Since you gave us the menus instead of notifying the kitchen is closed until 11. Later, when they try to remind you the 2 things you forgot, (on a 3 items order) is rude to literally flip them off with the hand. Or say something in italian between your teeth the second time. Ignoring us when trying to ask for the bill… or demand my wife to throw the small plastic berry container the kids eat “because it was not from the bar” says everything about you and the service provided. It’s a pitty nobody showed you to answer kindly when spoken kindly. Because people expect you to do your job with decency. Is only normal, it’s your place of work. Before we left, we told about our experience to what we thought would be her boss. She didn’t care and the young waitress used this to throw yet another tantrum in our way. Really not a place you wanna visit on your holidays.
