Don’t know why this is our first time here. We loved it! A small menu with lovely fresh, homemade tapas and a choice of meals. The best patatas bravas I’ve had. Amazing view, lovely service. Oh, and great coffee! Amazing value. Well worth a visit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stopped off for a few drinks and some tapas. Excellent service and food, great friendly service. A lovely quiet place for a stop, get away from all the tourists.

I love this place. It is a proper Spanish family run bar but with a warm intimate pub feel. The bar man is a great host and the lady chef produces excellent Spanish dishes like Pil Pil, Rosada, Salads and a fantastic grilled steak to name a few. We have had a many a great night in the bar or sitting on their terrace watching the sun go down.

Las Gemelas is a must visit if you find yourself in Competa. Izzy, the barman is an absolute legend and the food is really decent quality. I recommend the Gemelas Salad.

Un lugar magnifico para tapear con un servicio muy cercano y comida casera. Destacaría las croquetas de Rabo de toro, el pollo al curry y la ensaladilla rusa. Un lugar para irte con el estomago lleno sin trastocar tu bolsillo.

Ofrecen algunas tapas frías y calientes, lo mejor su terraza con vistas impresionantes de Competa. Las chicas que lo atienden muy simpaticas y amables. Muy recomendable.

Vistas espectaculares. Desayuno delicioso y atención inmejorable. Mas que recomendado como lugar que visitar y disfrutar viendo competa y el mar de fondo 😉

UNA JOYA CULINARIA, LOCAL Y LLENA DE AMOR Y SERVICIO. En este lugar yo probé una comida espectacular, la atención de madre en hija es una joya humana llena de hospitalidad y humor. Su deseo por hacerte conocer los productos locales, la ciudad y sus maravillas de productos es muy agradable. El balcón, sus vistas a competa y la tranquilidad de sus sala es la armonía perfecta de un lugar lleno de magia. Es un lugar que definitivamente da ganas de volver siempre ! Gracias por su servicio.

La mejor ensaladilla de toda Andalucía se encuentra aquí. El trato de la madre e hija es súper agradable, las vistas espectaculares. Gracias, siempre que puedo voy!

Un lugar super agradable en el trato de sus dueñas y, respeto a las tapas y la comida, fenomenal. La cocinera un 10. Lo recomiendo si pasáis por Competa, os encontraréis cómo en casa.

Mesón típico con buena comida y mejor trato. Sus dueños son muy amables y atentos y nos trataron genial!! Además tiene una terraza con unas vistas impresionantes!!

Estuvimos el fin de semana del sábado 22 de septiembre cenando,por casualidad por q pasamos y nos gustó y volvimos a cenar y fue fantástico en un sitio muy familiar estuvimos en la gloria el camarero super agradable y cuando ya nos tomamos la Copa después de cenar conocimos a su señora la cocinera una comida exquisita el entrecotte totalmente bueno y en su punto las gambas al pil pil sobrosisimas .le doy un 10 al restaurante y a sus dueños por tanto agrado y hacernos sentir como en casa .

A bit hard to find but totally worth it. My Girlfriend and I where searching for a typical spanish Bar/Restaurant while we stayed in Competa. On the balcony you have a wonderful view over Competas scenery. and the owner is always giving his very best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. What he lacks in english language skills, he doubles in friendlyness. The menu of Las Gemelas is perfectly translated in english, but pretty small. What in my opinion isn't a bad thing. Most dishes on the menu are Pork or Seafood. And when you sit at the Bar, you can watch the chef prepare the food, while you eat some cheese and Jamon. The prices are more than fair, also the size of the dishes are just right in our opinion. The Food was really good, I had some fried squid, which was really fresh, and not chewy at all. my Girlfriend had a fried Cod, which also was perfectly fried, not dry, and not too soft.There where only two things that disturbed the lovely atmosphere, and are the reason why i don't give 5 stars. 1st.: I know, spanish love french fries, so do we in Germany. And I had really good ones in Spain. But the ones in "Las Gemelas" where a bit too slobby in my opinion. my girlfriend found them really ok. Tastes differ i guess. So i don't understand, why they don't give the option to guests to have some Patatas Bravas instead for example. I would have been more than happy than that. 2nd reason: The side salad. Iceberg lettuce, cucumber, tomato, canned corn. The side salad was like a side salad i get in cheap bad pubs in germany, where the food comes out of the freezer in the microwave on the plate. and there it is the best of the whole dish. So i was a bit sad, to see that here on my plate where it represented nothing of the empathy that you could feel all over the rest of this place. I know it sounds a bit strange, but in my opinion, different lettuces, some olives (which we got free by the way as a amuse bouche, and where delicious btw), two rings of the sweet spanish onions, maybe some local vegetable or even fruit of the season. And the salad would make the dish just perfect. Phew. Ok now i got lost a bit about salad, which is just not fair. I really recommend this place for a romantic evening, just as for a night at the bar with some friends. Or reading a book, while you enjoy some Chese and jamon.

Las vistas son espectaculares y solo por comer unas tapas en la terraza ya vale la pena. Las tapas no estaban mal, pero hubiera preferido que fueran algo más variadas. No había mucha cantidad donde elegir y las raciones son bastante pequeñas, aunque tampoco son caras. La chica que nos atendió fue muy paciente y amable.

Un mesón típico con bonita terraza y vistas de sueño a la puesta del sol. Gambas Pil Pil y bistecs excelentes, muy buena atmósfera y atención. Un sitio muy acogedor. Deliciosa comida aunque la ensalada acompaña deja a desear... En total: hay que volver, definitivamente recomendable.

Buena atención y buen producto. Local algo pequeño pero tiene una terraza interior con buenas vistas.
