Recensioni di Work In Progress Bar Concorezzo
Beautiful and welcoming To be enjoyed in company Exceptional and special cocktails
The place isn't very big, but it's very youthful and well-kept. Plus, the drinks are delicious and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
We discovered this place almost by accident. On the surface, you might say it's a classic village bar, but it's much more. Work In Progress's strong point is definitely its extensive cocktail list: carefully crafted, they're exceptional. They offer a variety of cocktails, from classics to more sophisticated ones, and even variations on classics (e.g., the Black Mojito, highly recommended). Seating is available both inside (somewhat limited) and outside. Its location near a town makes it perfect if you want a quiet evening somewhere quiet. The aperitifs are also excellent. The late opening hours and the hookah service are definitely pluses, for those interested. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are more than fair for what's on offer. Definitely one of the best places to spend an evening!
A chance and very lucky discovery!! Four of us went for aperitivo, and I can report that the Spritz, Black Mojito, and Long Island Cocktail were excellent and plentiful. The appetizers far exceeded expectations in quantity and quality, as well as the friendliness and hospitality!! The chili pepper tequila shots offered by the owner at the end were the (spicy) icing on the cake! NB: Negative reviews can only come from racists and those accustomed to industrial cocktails ready in 15 seconds.
We showed up as a group of eight adults with children, enjoying an aperitivo. We sat at outdoor tables and ordered five Spritzes and three beers, plus water for the kids. Service was prompt, and to everyone's surprise, in addition to the expected chips, we were also served a platter of cured meats and parmesan, a platter of focaccia, and a platter of mini pizzas. The Spritzes were excellent, and the side dishes were spectacular. All for €7 per person, part of the aperitivo menu, so perfect. The location on the traffic-free square is also excellent for children, who can play safely while the adults enjoy the tranquility.
NOT TO BE MISSED. It's hard for me to find a word to describe this place; the only words that come to mind are HOME and FAMILY. I discovered this place three years ago by chance, as the bar was located directly below the building where I worked, and since then, not a day has gone by without me stopping for a coffee and a chat. The strong point of this place is definitely the attention they give to their customers, and this is only possible thanks to their staff, starting with the owner, who is not only a true force of nature but also does his job with extreme passion. Then there are the employees, wonderful people with a passion for what they do, always available and attentive to the needs of even the most demanding customers. The aperitifs are superb, the cocktails are not to be missed, the wines come from high-quality wineries, and for beer lovers, there's truly something for everyone. The price is absolutely medium/low compared to the quality of the product offered. You can't pass through Concorezzo and not try this gem in the town center.
TOP. Beautiful venue!!! The manager is very friendly and helpful, and the staff at Work in Progress are truly professional, polite, and kind! They really know how to treat customers. The aperitif was fabulous: generous portions and a wide variety of choices. Great music and great atmosphere. I was truly impressed and pleased with choosing them to organize this evening! Definitely recommended!
Nothing better next to Work In Progress
Great little place, but well-decorated, with the perfect atmosphere for a drink and conversation. They're well-stocked with top-quality wines, beers, and spirits, and make killer exotic cocktails. The music and volume are perfect for the time of day and atmosphere. The air conditioning is custom-designed. The ceiling is airbrushed with goosebump-inducing luminescent paint. The waiters are knowledgeable and smiling. The prices are fair. I recommend it.
A lovely place in the center of Concorezzo. Well-managed and with a lot of dedication, Ngounda is the best at what he does. The idea of a small plate of chocolate 🍫 accompanied by a glass of quality rum is fantastic. Definitely recommended for all types of customers.
Nice place in the center of Concorezzo. It's a shame they serve alcohol to minors. You can't sit outside due to the constant joint smoking.
The place is a bit embarrassing. The guys who work there (or maybe they're the owners) were very nice, no complaints there, but the place has dirty walls, dirty chairs, umbrellas, trash cans—basically, just a little bit of everything strewn everywhere, making it a bit uncomfortable, especially when you look at it! We paid €20 for a beer and an Aperol Spritz, and a platter that didn't have any good products. 3 or 4 chips, those Chinese cloud cookies, and bruschetta with packaged cold cuts. I hate to say it, but yesterday we had an aperitivo in Livigno, with a stunning view and a beautiful, high-end platter, and we paid €6 each... basically, I wouldn't go back.
I'll tell you about my experience: it was aperitif time at 7:00 PM, and we sat at the table for about fifteen minutes waiting for someone to come and take our order for a 7 euro aperitif, as per the sign displayed, and a Campari with white wine (without making an aperitif), the price of which was not on the list. After about another thirty minutes, they brought us a 0.33 bottle of beer, a Campari soda with white wine, and a small cutting board with some skimpy bruschetta made from aged bread, on which were placed three small squares of tomato, all surrounded by petals of potato chips thrown in handfuls on the cutting board. The place appears spacious from the outside with numerous tables, inside you immediately notice the difference in light: dark walls, narrow space, small bathroom in pitiful conditions, we ended up paying the exorbitant sum of 16 euros compared to the theoretical 12 we thought we would pay but the issue is not strictly economic for the most part in this place we did not find quality in the product or in the service and it would be fair to remove the sign displayed because it was misleading compared to a price list they presented at the time of our complaints, meanwhile we noticed the dirty closet where they cook.
Terrible experience. We arrived around 8:10 PM for aperitivo. After a half-hour wait with no one to take our order, I went in to ask for the menu. I was told they would bring it to us. After another 15 minutes, a waiter came to take our order... but still without a menu. I asked for one, and finally, after another wait, we managed to order five cocktails (€34), which arrived late. We asked for something to eat besides fries, and half an hour later they brought us a platter that was disappointing to say the least: stale bread with pieces of salami thrown on it, strange-tasting ham and cheese sandwiches, and reheated piadina with ham and cheese. The surprise? An extra €20 bill because, according to them, we were outside of aperitivo hours... it was 9:40 PM, and the only reason we went later was because of their delay. Slow, disorganized service, and poor-quality food. I will not return and I do not recommend it.
The way this bar is run is simply shameful. Dirty tables, unprofessional staff, lousy aperitif. The staff, who were called out several times, seemed disinterested. Not to mention the bathroom, which is extremely dirty, where you either use the toilet or hold the toilet seat.
A very negative experience. We used to go there often for breakfast, but unfortunately, because of the barista Alessia, who is particularly rude and uninterested in her job, we won't be going there with the family for breakfast again. I feel sorry for Ngounda, who was truly friendly and hospitable. I hope he'll evaluate the staff more thoroughly.
Really poorly managed, slow service, customers are treated like animals. I went to get a drink and there was already piss on the floor at the door. Everyone is without masks in this historical period, lack of gloves for the "staff" (incompetent). Fights every now and then, today a madman was overturning chairs. Cigarettes in glasses used as ashtrays, which are then reserved for customers. Highly not recommended. Never again.
