This is the only Sonic in our area that never drops the ball. The food is always fresh, they always get the order right, and the customer service is always good.
food was hot and fresh on 11 /10 and the service was great store seems to have improved greatly. I plan on making this my Sonic
So the French toast sticks and tator tots were decent. However I do find it sad and depressing that hardly no one comes to this location anymore. Every time I drive past this place it's always empty except for a couple of cars. But those couple of cars would have to just be the employees. Back in the day a lot of high school kids would come here after school for a snack. Now barely anyone comes here. Not even for the slushies. It's sad because Sonic's has a full rainbow of slushies and is supposed to be the go-to-place to get any slushies you want. But it's become rather pointless and no one in my opinion is driving to this Sonic's. Not even for a slushie. The fact that this location doesn't seem to have any life left in it tells me that it's on its last legs and that this place probably won't last much longer.
This location won't take online orders, so you do not get the all day half price drinks. They blame the app. The app works at other locations just fine. Food quality and restaurant maintenance has suffered greatly since the pandemic. I do not recommend the Kitty Hawk location at all.
I really don’t know how they’re still in service. It takes at least 15-20 minutes to get your food and when you do, the order is wrong. People who ordered after you, will get their food before you. Do people no longer wear hair nets while cooking? Because they don’t here. I’ve seen more employees hanging out in the back of the restaurant than actually working…there’s literally two people who actually assist and provide good service, the manager (a Hispanic gentleman and a woman who normally works during the day)….apparently at night, it’s a hangout spot for the employees….when you can find them…

The food didn’t even get to us after taking over 30 minutes while we were sitting under the sonic area in the thunder and lightning. While also sitting there with a flash flood in the area. Horrible experience, would not come back or recommend.

I ordered a milkshake and 4 slushes via mobile app. I seen 3 vehicles pull up wayyy after my order was completed and get there's. I had to get out the vehicle and reminded them of my mobile order and the female worker said oh yeah the milkshake, then when I got the drinks my milkshake was already spilling thru the lid but I didn't notice until I drove off. Don't go at night. They run out of burgers and ice cream. Our order came out 20 min after after the screen showed our order was being delivered to the car. Super hard to hear the person taking the order, made things a bit frustrating. The vehicle next to us also also had to ask her to speak up. No dipping sauces given for mozzarella sticks, no onion ring, gravy or dipping sauces for our #11 combos. Tator tots tasted like the oil needs to be changed. Will not be back to this location.
Honestly, I would leave zero stars if I could. I ordered the Smashburger Six dollar deal and waited for 25 minutes to 30 minutes. Flagged down one of the girls that was walking by and asked her how much longer it was going to be that I had already waited 25 to 30 minutes. She said she was so sorry and that she would take care of it right then and asked me what the order was. And I told her. Waited another 10 to 15 minutes and hit the button again. Asking where my order was that it had been forty minutes. They said they were sorry and asked me what my order was AGAIN and I told them and waited another five minutes when this girl came out with a notepad, and asked me what my order was AGAIN!!! I said forget it and I left. Was there for about forty five minutes And left with nothing.
Since it is conveniently located, I’ve ordered here every few months, each time hoping there is some improvement. This is my 3rd or 4th visit and once again I am disappointed. The cheese sticks are always overcooked, with the cheese being chewy and cold. I ordered a coke float this time and it was not properly made nor as advertised. It was a regular coke with crushed ice, with a little bit of ice cream on top. Were the employees not trained? That’s not how you make a coke float. You don’t put crushed ice in a float. It made it hard to eat the ice cream without crunching on bits of hard ice. I’ll be driving to other locations from now on. Do not waste your money here. I also had to change stalls 3 times because each one was broken, with only 1 having a sign indicating it wasn’t working.
The store hours are posted stating that they close at midnight to night. I pulled into a spot at 11:32pm. I quickly pushed the red button to order sense it was close to the end of their night. After a couple on minutes, a young lady walk up to my truck and informed me that they were closed. I asked what time they close and was told, "We closed at 11:00 tonight." I mentioned that the hours online were different than that, wondering if it was wrong or if they were just closing early. I received no reply as she walked away. Before driving away, I checked the online hours once more and as I did, two other employees informed me that the Sonic was closed. One walked up to my truck as the girl did. The other did not find the effort worth the trip and simply yelled from the front door. Keep store hours accurate is very important (in my opinion). I understand that the cost involved to stay open that last hour may not always be profitable when business is slow. I also know that closeing early loosing business tonight and in the future. Mc Donald's down the road has a long line in the drive thru and two cars pulled into Sonic after me both were told, as was I, that they are closed. Guess I'll go sit in the line down the road now.
I should have read the reviews before stopping at this Sonic. When I first got my meal the fries were cold and old and I asked them to change it for me, which they did. They handed me a new set of fries and said “these are fresh and new.” It wasn’t until I got home that I realized these fries were not at all “fresh and new.” Further, I did not receive a receipt. I have called the store repeatedly but nobody has answered. Do not recommend this Sonic whatsoever!
Sonic (Converse, TX) VERY disappointed... Decided to order via Sonic app and was pleasantly surprised it was working today! Ordered two grilled cheese sandwiches and headed on down. Pulled into stall three and in about a minute a fella comes out with small paper sack (my order). "You order ahead?" "Yup." Got home and put bag on kitchen table. Later, my wife went into the bag and asked why didn't I order grilled cheese? I did...didn't I? Looks like whoever was on duty at 1:53pm on 07/10/2022 for what ever reason decided to slap some cheese into a round burger buns and microwaved them, wrap them quickly, and cram them in the bag (see pic). Texas toast is what Sonic is supposed to use. If I was told they had no Texas toast bread, I would have changed or canceled my order, but was never given the option. Also, there was no receipt taped to the bag as usual or included inside the bag, but I do have my online receipt. It would be welcome if the manager would make right by this and re-do my order the right way; an apology would also be appreciated.
Waiting in a stall for over 14 mins. No response from pushing the button. I’m the only car on the lot. Cmon do better. I was a manager a a GM for years all I wanted was some tots and a drink. Not even late it’s only 9pm. Do better
None of my sauces were in the bag, no ketchup on my burger, (said burger that was supposed to be a double patty, but i was given a single), and my cream slush tasted like cleaning supplies
We came to order some ice cream at 11:30pm to be told they were only taking Uber or DoorDash orders… They close at 12am and won’t take our order?? Ridiculous :/ Also, lady inside looked disgusted that we drove up and also had a kitten on her shoulder inside the building… unsanitary. This location doesn’t seem to take anything seriously about their business. Taking home some sad kids that wanted some Sonic shakes.
Ordered 2 hot fudge sundaes, took them 15 minutes to get them to me half melted. Then was told to come back in 2 days and they would remake my order for free. Worst service I have ever had and the icecream was inedible.
