A fantastic experience overall. I’ll mention a couple of small points below, but everything I’m not calling out was absolutely at a three-star level by my standards—thank you for a wonderful meal. What impressed me most is the restaurant’s direction: taking ingredients that could have “difficult” edges and refining them so those potential weaknesses disappear, while the strengths are pushed to their fullest. It’s high-level cooking with a clear point of view. Two dishes were genuinely shocking in the best way: the scallop and the white truffle risotto. The scallop had the bold confidence of letting you taste the ingredient almost “as is” first, then building into a beautiful harmony with the sauce, and finishing with an intense, umami-rich essence that tied everything together perfectly. The risotto was cooked flawlessly, and I loved how it didn’t rely on the usual template—nuts, pumpkin, and apple added texture and character, bringing variety while still keeping everything cohesive with the white truffle. One thing I found a bit puzzling, though, was also about the white truffle risotto: for me, it’s hard to imagine enjoying that dish without the white truffle addition. It would be great if that option could be made selectable more explicitly at the time of choosing the menu, so guests can better tailor the experience to their preferences. A minor letdown was the cheese course concept (“find the real one”), which seems to be a long-standing signature here. In our experience, the “real” cheese was by far the most delicious, while the rest felt fairly ordinary. It didn’t hurt the overall meal, but I do think this course could benefit from a more interesting twist.
Excellence all the way through. Cozy and relaxed atmosphere, attention to detail, knowledgeable staff, without mentioning the quality of the dishes. Some of them like the Sunday chicken roast and the risotto left me speechless. Big thanks to the staff for their friendliness. You made an unforgettable experience!
Awesome food. Service was a little sporty at times but probably from language barriers. Still they were helpful with storing luggage for us since we were heading to airport afterwards. Beautiful location as well.
Really phenomenal, have been to quite a few Michelin starred restaurants, but this one is truly awesome. Like everything was on point (I prefer nuttier caviar, but that’s pure preference) And quite inexpensive, I paid 155 for the classic menu and 50 for the nonalcoholic accompaniment. I was fully expecting double. The service was great, very attentive, from opening the (opaque) door before I could knock to quickly making any crumbs or stains disappear. Chatted with the sommelier about the nonalcoholic wine - what a guy and what a breadth of knowledge… Oldani was also super cool. He even showed me some of the process in the kitchen. I went alone because my friends had no time but there were still no awkward moments or anything. I walked out truly wowed.
Outstanding experience in this temple of haute Italian cuisine, pop and at the same time incredibly elevated. I can’t but recommend this experience without reservations to all lovers of excellency in food. There is not a dish you can get wrong so allow the amazing staff to guide you through the various options. Prices are very reasonable by international standards and competitive by Italian ones. Worth every €. Will be back to try the new seasonal menu soon!
A vary special place. Vibes was fantastic. Food and drink were at the top. Service was amazing. The chef was present at the end of our dinner for a friendly conversation about food service and so on. One of the best restaurant I have been.
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The staff was incredible and the food was out of this world. I have tremendous respect for Chef Davide Oldani. The plates are simply artwork and the flavors are unique. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. They obviously have a name and reputation, but I still wanted to leave a review to show my appreciation!

Definitely one of the best restaurants I have been. It was a wonderful 3h journey enhancing local ingredients. I really loved the honey bread and the parmigiano ice cream!
A strong and clear identity. CucinaPop is a forward looking culinary experience. This beautiful restaurant sits in an unpretentious square in the chef's birthplace, just outside Milano. Probably symbolically expressing the will to go back to the roots, back home, giving value to its own culture, its own identity, instead of fighting for the most popular hotspots in the city center. Tables, chairs, spoons, forks, plates etc., are designed to be functional to the experience while looking minimalistic, fun, pleasant. The experience is at the center. I had an 11 courses vegan tasting menu called "leggerezza". Fantastic dishes combining local products with traditional and Asian touches. Worth a mention the white asparagus dish served with green asparagus cream and a touch of yuzu: delicious! We had the chance to comment this extremely positive experience with chef Oldani whose work seems to be focused on culture more than just business. Grazie ancora!
Like pretty much all the other reviews... my fiancé and I had the experience of a lifetime here. Davide and his team are extremely attentive to details, they are very approachable, and they really care about the customers and their specific dietary requirements. All these factors together make the whole occasion very unique and special. Needless to say the food is beyond incredible. The tasting menu brings a new surprise every time and that is worth every bite. Special thanks to Andrei for taking care of us so well throughout the night. We will never forget the wonderful experience we had at Davide's restaurant. Highly recommended to anyone, from any part of the world, who wants to turn their dinner into a real occasion to remember.

D’o has truly exceptional food and world class service. The flavours and sensations are unique, surprising and wonderful. Our server was fantastic, answered all of our questions, or went and got the answers for us if he didn’t know, and made our time in the restaurant fun and engaging. So why not 5 stars? At a 2 Michelin Star restaurant everything has been thought out to give you an immersive experience. You’re paying a huge price for a flawless environment. We were the last ones in the restaurant and everything had been perfect…until we suddenly realized the staff had stopped making that a priority. The maître d left, servers gathered near us and began having conversations interrupting the ambiance, and a staff member even started carrying/putting away tables near us while we were still seated at our table. Normally this kind of thing would not bother me but when paying over $1,000 CAD for dinner it was disappointing to see that we mattered as customers only until dinner service ended, then this 2 Star experience became a chain restaurant cleaning up for the night. A sad end to an otherwise perfect time at D’o.
We went there in 2020 summer august, when it’s still one Michelin star, but we already thought it def has a lot of potential ! The restaurant is overall looking a piazza which a good location I would say. And I still remember the desert plate, full of surprises, really love it ! We def will find time to go back again ❤️
We were so excited to visit this restaurant and we finally did yesterday! The waiting staff and chefs were phenomenal. Our cocktails were perfect, but I can’t forget the feeling of heaviness on my stomach after our seven course menu. I really felt heavy and uncomfortable for hours to come after our meal. We used to dine on Michelin stars restaurant and never felt so heavy after a meal.
Cuisine only does not make a 2 stars ! Visited in April 2022 The cuisine was excellent, with a special mention for the signature onion and parmesan starter, which was particularly appreciated, as well as the cooking of the rabbit, which was very pleasant. The chef personally came to greet us. However, we experienced a disaster in terms of service, far from the 2-star expectations, both before and during our dining experience. Due to the fact that my guest tested positive for Covid the day before the reservation, I tried to contact them to cancel our table. They explain to me that I will be charged 300€ because we will not honor our reservation. I expected more understanding and flexibility, especially considering the current period. In addition the person on the phone told me he cannot find my reservation in the file, and therefore I won't be charged because I don't have a reserved table to honor. I was highly surprised and not trustful (and I was right) since I had received a confirmation, I asked him to write me that I would not be charged in order to avoid bad surprises. The person got my email down. After 2 hours, I haven't received anything so I contacted them on whatsapp to confirm this story. I received an answer the next day, 2 hours before my reservation, telling me that it does exist and that I have to show up in order not to be charged. What a lack of professionnalism and clearly no consideration for clients ! Luckily, I managed to convince another friend to join in order not to lose my reservation. We met a deplorable service throughout our time at the restaurant. Starting with the arrival, an army of waiters but all of them to tell us that the reservation does not exist, we are made to wait in a small place behind the locker rooms without unloading us (coats, bags). We finally get a table, then we are forced to choose the same dishes to be served as one table! It was then a continuous ballet of waiters around us, cutting off our conversations, loosing intimacy, dropping our things after multiple passages behind our chairs, a dish barely finished already cleared without taking into account the fact that the other has finished or not, no break between the dishes to truly appreciate it, a very displeasant and imposed rhythm. Nothing to do with the expected care towards 2 stars clients! Then, when it was time to pay the bill, even though it is expressly written on the website that payment by credit card is not accepted, and therefore we withdrew money on purpose for this experience, the waiter finally asked us to pay by card! Such a lack of consistency which is not acceptable at this level. Too bad, we were looking forward to it and finally remain on a negative note. How can such place be graded so high?
I had the Menu "Lightness", because they proposed it as the vegan option to "Multiplicity" Menu, which my companion had, together we shared a bottle of Friulano. Most of the vegan alternatives were by far not equivalent to what my companion got. E.g., a Risotto containing only plain rice, lupines and a whole lot of olive oil, which made it not creamy, but, for my taste, aggressively greasy and heavy. Instead of pigeon breast, I was served some peels of carrot. No truffles or anything else fancy, like in the classic dish (truffkes, caviar, foie gras), but the very same price... Shameless. German style Laugengebäck was terribly in structure and ratio between crust and inner was bad, because of the small size of it. Neither a good copy nor a creative reinterpretation. Only two satisfactory courses for me: Zucchini cream with pine seeds, raisins topped with almond sorbet and white asparagus with cream of grren asparagus and some notes of sicilian pepper. Overall, this menu was disappointing and very uninspired both in ingredients and taste, only serving was with some finesse, and therefore 2/5 instead of 1/5, wine and sommelier was fine. Talked briefly to chef Oldani, he didn't see my point and I understood from his reply, that he just thinks eating vegan means a cuisine reduced to only some vegetables. Menu was lacking proteins at all (chef said that the puffed rice on some dishes contained protein, but imho there were not more than 5 grams of this in all dishes combined). For me, Oldani seems to be stuck in a very old fashioned understanding of vegan cuisine, or he is lacking it completely. Proof for this is, that he served bread with honey as a vegan alternative... My companion instead had a great time with his menu. I really ask myself, if it would be more suitable for this restaurant to relinquish from vegan options and concentrate on their competences, both for kitchen and customer.
