I just need my fix every now and then.

Went in the other night and I'm guessing she's a new worker she was very polite. Took our order walked it out to us and walked around lobby wiping down tables, salt/pepper shakers, vinegar bottles, windows name it she was on top of everything as in keeping everything stocked up and clean collecting trays. She would wipe down the sauce dispensers Haven't seen the lobby look this clean in awhile. Very professional and you can tell she put pride into her job!

This company would make boat loads of money if they turned this franchise fast food restaurant into an all you can eat buffet restaurant. The food at Long John Silver's is so good and it's always fresh ,right off of the stove. I just wish the place was an all you can eat because it's just that good .

It has been a good while since I've stopped by a Long John Silver's. I could not have picked a better location. The food was Super Fresh. The coleslaw, hush puppies, fish and chicken were beyond good. The Staff was friendly and polite, which in my opinion is becoming a rare trait. The store was clean and organized. I personally like how clean the windows and seats were.

I really can't say much about the atmosphere as I mostly pickup via drive thru . Amazingly no matter how busy they are the orders Ive found to be precise although we always check before driving off. I know it's hard for restaurants to make a profit and keep from food loss but for the orders we purchased which had fish shrimp and chicken 2 large plates hence we asked for extra tartar sauce we were given a total of 6 so 3 each I need a minimum of 1 per fish and some for my shrimp would have been nice so I guess given extra hush puppies leveled the playing field. Really have no complaints the fish and shrimp were perfectly fried, hot fresh fries, the batter was nice and crisp not all greasy and falling apart. All of our food order wasn't all shoved in one box which made a nice eating experience from being used and soggy by the time you get home and get to enjoy your meal and not wasting time making a return trip to the restaurant!

It's been hard for me to go into town and sit at restaurants.Because I'm a caretaker for my family.However I snuck away the past two weeks and went to this restaurant and the food was great both time.. This is after they remodeled.The remodel looks pretty good.The restaurant looked clean.The service was fast.The food was hot and fresh.

The reason why this is a five star is because the food was amazing but my favorite part was the service. The lady on the microphone today was really nice. I highly recommend Long John Silvers.

While I give them high marks on food I would say their grilled shrimp is not what expected. The order only comes with Shrimp and me myself didn't like the sauce they were cooked in. I expected Grilled Shrimp with Rice and some Hush Puppies 😆. But I'm sure others will like their Grilled Shrimp. Other than that I always go their for their Platters, Shrimp and Fish is my Favorite. 😍 😋

They were great! Sorry to say we went 15 minutes before closing & they still cooked up up fresh food,"cause the other was cold". She is very nice and wonderful. 5 star for her. and 4 stars for food, because of good food but slightly salty. Now That's customer service! Favorite fast food seafood restaurant. They have updates so much since I had last been here and the staff was friendly and the food came out so fast and was delicious! Ashley was so nice to costumers and made sure everyone was taken care of !

Haven’t had LGS in sometime… decided to stop by and give them a try. The place wasn’t busy for a Thursday night. Decided to walk in order. The young man taking our order was very nice and took out order quickly and in about 5 mins I was out of there with my order in hand. I got home and opened it and the items were neatly packed and all the condiments that I asked for where there in the bag. The food was good and everything was hot. Great job.

It's been close to 30 years since I've been to a LJS since the nearest one to where I live is about 50 miles away. I was so excited to see the place because it was my birthday and I got to pick where to eat. It was every bit as good as I remember. It was also better tasting and more enjoyable than some higher priced "nice restaurant" meals I've had. Plus, the woman that took our order was funny, friendly, and altogether fabulous. I truly had a great time and fully intend to go back on our next trip to Corpus.

I love LJS! But I want the chips back instead of waffle fries. They gave me a survey on my receipt to fill out but it didn’t work!

For fast food seafood they do a decent job. There's not usually a long wait, and the food comes out hot and fresh tasting. They also have good coupons at times. Family meals are also available. I've also noticed they have advertised all you can eat fish on Sundays.

The food was good but MAN have the prices gone up. The fish is a lot smaller now. It was crunchy and greasy and just like I remember. I only go to LJS once or twice a year. The employees here were very nice and friendly. I went to try the lobster bites and they were delicious. We used to be able to get our 2 meals for under $18 but it was a little over $30 now. 2 meals (no drinks) and an order of lobster bites. Super pricey for what it is but for a special treat once a year I love it.

Got my daughter a kids meal with no fries extra hush puppies, got that but that little ball slightly bigger than a hush puppy was the chicken smh. We went trough the drive thru there was only 1 car ahead of us but they kept us waiting at the speaker for about 5 mins but on a better note I was truely surprised when they had honey mustard !! Haven’t been here in a while. We went for lunch, service was fast, food came out quickly and the place was clean. I ordered the 2 piece fish with fries and everything came out hot. I read some of the reviews and I'm glad that I had a great experience. I hadn't been to a stand alone LJS in years!!! I was surprised at the vast menu that they had!!! The fish was fried to perfection and so were the chicken planks, shrimp, fries, hush puppies and the lobster bites!!! I really loved eating here, I even rang the bell!!! It was like eating at the LJS back home when I was a kid. The only complaint I have is the slow service, since they are understaffed.

Foods great, I love Long Johns. A lot of people do. However, the staff never wipes the tables. Even when it's slow, its still not done. So hopefully that changes for more of a pleasant dine-in experience.

Disappointed in the size the shrimp, my gosh they are baby size. Tried ordering the six-piece Sea Share and the drive thru told me it was not available, although it shows it online, why? It is only 6 pieces of fish a la cart. I was forced to order a two-piece meal with an extra piece. Disappointed in shrimp size and what I wanted to order.

Wait staff was great and fast. What I didn't really like... bathrooms, need some repairs, you can get stuck with that door...food, way to much butter in rice and tortillas we're hard, tartar sauce has way too much pickle juice in it. But for 9 people to eat, we didn't have much leftover.

Girl at the drive thru was rude and very impatient with customers. She seemed upset every time a car was pulling up to the drive thru. I asked for condiments and she tells me everything is already in the bag. I got home and my vinegar wasn’t in the bag. Food was fresh and hot. I can understand it can get overwhelming when busy but they should listen to the customer and get what the customer is requesting before just blowing them off.

I have been to this location twice. The fast food fish is greasy as usual. Not the healthiest but every once in a while it is good. I have learned to eat it with malt vinegar, which kind of cuts out the greasiness. The service is good!

I thought they were too much I spend $15 I'm a meal that I could have went somewhere else for 2 spent the same amount. Just because I asked for a drink it cost me $2 more and an extra chicken that cost me $2 more. My hush puppies with cold the extra chicken at order cold. She brought me another piece of chicken cold. I got up out of my chair three times so I can have a hot piece of chicken. They finally put an order in by the time I got it I was already done eating. I was not pleased with the cold food nor the price, there's too many great specials out there and other food establishments, I have always gone to Long John Silver and have enjoyed the food at this rate I cannot afford to go there anymore. I also could not find a clean table I had my drink in my hand I asked him to clean the table one girl that work there told me to ask another girl, and that girl told me to ask another girl, finally I got my seat, I went up to get ketchup along with shrimp sauce and tartar sauce the table was disgusting full of ketchup and tartar sauce needed cleaning as well, want to get my drink and that area also was dirty, soda spills. Well you fill in the blank.

The food was the best part of our experience and it got a three. The gal at the registers opportunity area is customer service. She needs to word things differently by giving the customer a "no problem" versus stating the problem. The bathroom and condiments areas were filthy. Couldn't bring myself to walk into the bathroom again to take a picture.

Omg!! Price for this meal was crazy. Over $50. I thought of going there for a good meal. Something not too expensive. But I was wrong. Plus the place is a bit run down. Then the entire staff decided to have a meeting blocking the exit. Very very bad if u ask me.

I wish I could accurately rate this place. I went early because my son had a picnic. Saw they opened at 1030a waited till 1030 then waited in drive thru til about 1040/1045 and no one ever spoke on drive thru. Was going to get down but open sign was off so I never got to get food. I understand 1030 is early for lunch and I do understand frustration when someone is there at open. But regardless if you open at 1030 you need to open at 1030 and be ready to go. Especially when there was 3 cars behind me waiting for food also. I hope to go back to give so I can give it a proper rating.

I think its just me, but I totally hated it. Its been years since I've had LJS. The drive thru was long and plenty of people inside dining. So, they are doing well. My pallet didn't agree. However, everything was freshly cooked and the serving size was good. The sweet tea was my favorite part.

My wife likes the fish, me not so much. Coconut shrimp we agreed was a mistake. Service is about average for fast food. The dinning room would best be described as shabby? Several booths were out of service or had tables and chairs stacked in them. Restroom, don't go there unless you really need to. Men's room was in need of mopping at the least..

I changed the ratings on long John silver's Not because the owner reached out to me and said that he would make up for what happened. This is embarrassing the The manager and staff there were very cooperative very nice. That's why I changed the ratings not because of the owner. Called and spoke with manager, asked if I could go back but do I really wanna waste gas to go back for one piece of fish.. no.. so I'll just go by tomorrow.

The food is great. But today we decided to eat inside. I reported a horrible smell from the soda machine area. It smelled like a dead animal. The clerk walked over to it and then walked away. After I noticed nothing was done I told the cashier the same. She didn't look into it either. Both staff acted clueless. It takes a few days for a small mouse to decompose and wreak the way it did. If they keep the kitchen as clean as they do the front, then I'm never going back. I asked for a to go box and left.

Food was very bad. Tasted like the oil has been used for a long time. The breading on the fish got really soggy. The fish not fresh at all. Very disappointed. Used to really enjoy their food the fish was always very fresh. Now I don't think I will be back.

Horrible!! Omg Horrible is just too nice for this past experience. I am appalled at the wait time for starters over an hour wait with no way to leave. I went there for an interview and the manager told me to go to the back booth and he would be there with me soon. So, as I got my Pepsi and walked to the last booth, I recognized that in the window sill were mice droppings! Yeah, and even mice droppings on the table! Very bad experience!! I ordered a combo plate. I was just about to eat when I noticed something dark in my piece of fish. When I broke it in half I realized it was I believe a rats leg. When I informed the manager..she started to raise her voice and started to talk to me in a very rude manner. We were very embarrassed and decided to leave. Never have we ever dealt with this kind of customer service! It was located in Corpus Christi, Tx 4801South Staples. This was the night shift.

The floors were greasy, the fellow diners not really who you would wish to dine with. The food was ok but rather greasy. The price was too high. The store overall looked run down. Inside and out. I won't return.

So I needed to buy dinner because I am my security officer and this would be my dinner for the night shift of 12 hours. I was so disappointed the pieces of fish and chicken look like they were refried or under the lamp too long dried up I ordered coleslaw and there was none the only good thing they got right was my iced tea with lots of ice other than that it was a disappointment. Paid $13.29 for food I didn't eat, just a waste of money. I don't know why employees do not care about the service they give, it reflects on the company and it keeps them at a job. I bet they wouldn't serve this kind of food to their family members or eat it themselves so why subject customers to this kind of food. It's like they just want to get over with their shift regardless of who gets what. Then they complain when a customer has an issue with food order. All I have to say is get it right the first time and you won't need to deal with rude customers.

We haven't had Long John's for years! So the family and I decided to order in. HUGE, disappointment! Cold food and zero condiments. In fact they ask what condiments you want with your food and didn't deliver not one, to go with our70$ plus meals! Never again, y'all need to get your line straight. God bless

I wish I could give zero stars! I ordered 6pc fish and only got 4..I also didn't get the sauces or extra crumbs that I asked for multiple times. Did an app order that Jesus for the fish and chicken platter with a side of fries and coslaw. Drove up and got my food very quickly, but something told me to check my order before I drove off and then I am glad I did. With my platter containing I don't think two fish and three chicken fries and hush puppies. I got zero tartar sauce, zero ketchup, no fork or spoon and not a single napkin. On top of that under special request in my order I asked for extra crunchies please to which I got....none. I drove back around to the drive-thru I asked for tartar sauce and ketchup. She left came back with only tartar sauce and once again asked for ketchup. She went and got me ketchup and then asked for napkins. She got me napkins. I then asked if it should have come with a Spooner fort. She said yes she got me a splitter fork and then she also got me more crunchies...... Yes she looked very annoyed by the time I left but goodness gracious had they just gotten it right the first time.

VERY EXPENSIVE!! Long John Silvers has been a long time favorite of mine. However, the company has gone to trash. I visited the Corpus location for the first time. I waited in the drive thru for over 20 minutes. I was astonished at the price I paid for my meal. I ordered a shrimp dinner with a side of fish and was charged over $20. By the time I received my food, paid, and got home my food was cold. In addition, the coleslaw tasted like it may have been old. I also asked for extra tarter sauce. They gave me 2 packets and around 20 packs of ketchup. I definitely won’t be returning. I do not recommend.

Called location and manager told me one cook is bald and another has short hair. Only person with long hair was cashier. He said he doesn't know where it would have came from. Pretty much implying it came from me. I'm a dude with short straight hair & live alone, comon bro. Whoever preps the rice is where the hair came from, or the shrimp. Look, this has happened to me last year to,same location but I decided to give it a another shot bc I love the tacos! Never going back here again. Practice better hygeine practices, and train your staff better. I'm pretty chill, again I deal with guests all the time. Good thing this happened to me and not some crazy Karen. I totally lost my appetite. Manager did offer to remake it but not worth the trouble of going back.

This is the first time I’ve been here since I was a teenager, and it was absolutely awful. I went in expecting nostalgia, and I left disappointed. The food was extremely greasy, soggy, and was way too salty. And salty is not subjective. the food was literally drenched in salt. The hush puppies were tiny, almost the size of marbles. Sharing my experience, not the food which I always enjoy. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE AND EXPECT ANY PREFERENCE. When I ordered it said just go ahead of the line when i got here. Car line VERY long!. So thought Id go inside to try. Nope!! They didnt care. Only one person at window. No one to help at counter. Pitiful!!! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!! I was told to go get in car line. Plus attitude!! So here I am. Will not EVER order ahead again!!! I may NEVER come back!

They don't pay attention to basic instructions when you order. Ordered a large meal with 3 different sauces requested, order showed up with none of them. LJs outright sucks without these, so I've got a bunch of fried tasteless slop to look forward to. Spend your money elsewhere, where employees actually look at what you ordered and aren't stoned or staring at their phones.

Went 2/3/2026 at 8:18 pm was told the order would take 5 minutes after waiting 20 minutes I was told it would take 5 minutes more the Manger had poor attuned by the name of Ashley R. This Manger doesn't have any customers service. Texas is a at will state.

I went to have dinner with my family. My young daughter left her Stanley cup at the table we sat at. My daughter didn’t realize she missed placed it for two days later I called the store spoke with the manager on duty. She stated that she did find my daughter‘s cup. She was putting it in the safe I come 2 to 3 days later to pick it up. The second manager on duty stated she took the cup out of the safe because I did not come the same day to pick it up and now the cup is nowhere to be found. Seems like that manager has five fingers because she is the one that took the cup out of the safe and now can’t find it. Bunch of thieves working here! If the cup belonged to someone why take it out of a SAFE!! She cussed at me because I asked why the cup was taken out of the safe when her manager put it in there. As much as i love eating Long John i won’t be returning due to this! I’ll be sure to spread the word about the staff (MANAGERS)stealing from children!

One Star — A Crime Against Fries, Flavor, and Frankly, America I don’t know who at Long John Silver’s thought switching to waffle fries was a good idea, but let me be crystal clear: this is the worst decision they’ve ever made. The texture? Awful. The taste? Bland and lifeless. These fries are a sad, stale, crocheted mess masquerading as food, and it’s honestly insulting. We live in America—land of freedom, flavor, and traditional golden fries. Not whatever soggy lattice nightmare this is. It feels cheap, lazy, and frankly disrespectful to everything fries should stand for. I mean, who thought it was a good idea to replace a classic with this tasteless, dry disappointment? Just looking at them, you can tell they’re dead inside. Even a one-legged pirate with a hook for a hand would pass on these, and he’s been at sea for months. That says everything. Long John Silver’s, unless you bring back your actual fries, I will never eat here again. This is not just bad—it’s a crime against nature, humanity, and potatoes everywhere. Do better.

Went tonight. $25 for two plates (2 fish and 6 shrimp). Prices were raised but willing to pay. But did not expect to be ripped off by the fish they are serving now. Raised the price but are now serving perch size fish. Paper thin too! Will not be going back for this. Can get more for my dollar somewhere else.
