My friends and I attended the dinner murder mystery theater event. The venue here is fantastic. It is overflowing with southern hospitality and charm. The bar is fully stocked and ready for libations. I had a chance to look at some of the b&b rooms and they were spacious and have a solid romantic vibe.
Absolutely beautiful! Great service and yummy food!
A taste of antebellum culture ( the good parts) slathered with romantic potential.
Food, room, service, atmosphere was awesome! Definitely a must

Beautiful place and very romantic
Exceptionally good food combined with a lovely setting and great service is always worthy of a 5 star rating. ..when you find it...and we found just that at Annadele's Plantation just off 190 in Covington. From crab cakes starters to creme' Brulee dessert and main courses my wife and I are at home now and still talking about, this 100+ yr old Covington tradition is a food experience we highly recommend. Amazing food, service was great. Staff was very attentive, especially this one young man named Lex, he was super duper fineeeeee... 10/10 would smash. send me his number frfr
I went here with my girlfriend for prom. The service was quick and respectful also the manager is very nice. The food was delicious, just bring alot of money because it is expensive.
The wedding was so awesome and the bride and groom looked amazing tonight..The food was good and the wedding cake was delicious. We danced the night away great music and everyone was so nice and having a really good time..
Very nice, very elegant the service was excellent and the food was superb as usual. Reservations for Mother's Day has already been made
We only had dinner and it was great. Service was slow, but accurate. Grounds definitely needs TLC and LIGHTS.
We went there for a Sunday brunch with the group of nine people the food was really good there were a little short staffed but that just allowed us more time to talk highly recommend
Lovely place. Great attentive staff. Food was delicious. Drinks were great! Had a wonderful time!
We went for the murder mystery dinner with a set menu. We had a great time and will look forward to the time when they have another show
Beautiful venue I attended for wedding and reception. Lovely staff, beautiful scenery, and aa overall unforgettable experience. Highly recommended.
We enjoy going when they have their specials 2 for $49 and the food is delicious
Excellent food, could use more help, wait staff was very polite and in all wonderful experience..
Great place to dine in quiet comfortable with excellent service and food. Take a walk upstairs and look at the rooms and this plantation home's architecture.
We did Christmas dinner service. We'll be going again next year. They were behind schedule but other wise everything was great.
Wonderful place, we got married here, it's very special to us.
Looking forward to next year's Reindeer Romp. Thank you Annadele's for another wonderful experience.
This is a great place to stay. Highly recommended by me. Sincerely, Anders Engstroem.
Great restaurant tucked away in Covington food was excellent service was superb
Fish Pontchartrain was excellent a lot of lump crab meat on top
A great place to have a family function and a get away for a visit.
This was probably the best dinner we have ever had. We talked about the food for days and are looking forward to going back. You may want to call ahead for a reservations, especially on Sundays. The flavors are well put together and the plates are beautifully prepared. Full bar available!
We go here for dinner and this is by far the best on the Northshore. A good wine selection and the quality of the Fresh food is great. Only thing we don’t understand is why it is not packed. But they don’t advertise so locals kind of pass it by. Check it out you won’t be disappointed.
Excellent night! This is where I brought the love of my life for our first date. It is now our third year back on our anniversary and she is now my wife. The food gets better every year. The ribeye this year is quite possibly the best I've ever had. Can't wait until next year!
Attended an annual family christmas dinner and had an excellent time! The Staff was very friendly and accommodating and our meals were delicious. Very nice historic plantation nestled in the woods, would highly recommend.
Beautiful old mansion that hosts varieties of events, like the rehearsal dinner we attended. Great crab balls and their andouille sausage dipped in mustard were awesome; delicious dinner options were a hit.
My friends were married here four years ago. They go back every anniversary and bring friends. The food is always phenomenal. The atomosphere is fantastic. The staff is very accommodating. I can't recommend Annadele's enough!!
This place is wonderful for a Wedding rehearsal dinner or a Wedding reception dinner. The food is excellent and the service is terrific. They give you a wide variety of choices to choose from and everything is cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this place because the food, service, ambiance and the overall quality is really out of this world!!!
Excellent food. Love the individual rooms for special occasions. Had Christmas luncheon with 8 people and everything was perfect. Didn't have to worry about disturbing others. Will be going back again.
We celebrated our anniversary at Annadele's Plantation. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. It's a beautiful dining room with a lovely atmosphere. This was our first time eating here. We will be back again.
I ate here this week with my wife and the experience was very cool. The server took great care of us, and we just feel in love with the place, very charming feel to the place and the food we really good, we'll definitely go back.
Small intimate dining with tasty drinks(honeysuckle martini) creamy cheesy seafood crepe and delicious stuffed flounder or fried redfish. Try the inhouse cheesecake yum. Ask for Greg for great service.
Wonderful Sunday brunch! Great selection of creole appetizers and entrees. Nice, quiet environment and venue. Would definitely recommend the savory cheesecake appetizer!
Amazing! I have never been disappointed in the many times I have visited. The staff is gracious and curdious. The food was delicious, and the dessert was fantastic. Well worth it.
Outstanding, delicious food awaits you here along with a lovely ambiance and great service. Try the savory cheesecake and the cawfish rissoto! Thank you for an excellent experience! Can't wait to visit again!
A very charming venue for a baby shower. Beautiful garden room and grounds. Delicious food; great menu selection; bar and excellent service. Plenty of parking for guest.
We attended for a rehearsal dinner and they knocked it out of the park! For was delicious, service was professional and attentive. Would easily return back for my own function or just a night out.
Our stay was amazing as always!! Their Sunday brunch was 5 star quality. The price wasn't bad either. I would recommend it to anyone.
This restaurant runs a Wednesday night special that can’t be beat! The food is delicious. The owner/host/Mr Everything is most gracious but needs help. Service was very slow, so bring your patience. Give it a try. I was pleased.
We live in the area, we stayed the night just to get the feeling of getting away.I had one of the best steaks ive ever had in my life for dinner. The room was very nice, walked to chimes for a night cap and had a great brunch. It was just one night and right here in town, but it felt like a mini vacation. Would highly recommend, even if just going for dinner or brunch.
The owner brought us up to our room and showed us all the amenities in the room. She then showed us where we could park. Later she brought up a tray with fresh fruit, yogurt, orange juice, and fresh breads for us to eat the next morning. Every was delicious! Definitely recommend!
Good food but the room they put us in was very awkward
Great service and food but just too expensive.
the food was good, and the space was nice.
This was so wonderful. Although a bit empty, the food was delicious and the service great! Must come back in the daytime to see the beautiful building!
Parking lot is so shells. Hard for women to walk in. Service was good. Food was good too.
Great service and food in an interesting plantation setting tucked deep in the dark woods.
Great food! It's a Pat Gallagher restaurant, so to be expected. Covid has taken a toll on the service level, hopefully it will improve soon. Will definately go back.
The food and the service were great. The room was nice. We slept very well and woke up to a pot of delicious coffee each morning. I read the reviews and all I can say is that if your food wasn’t good during your stay maybe it was because Collin took the day off! He is an excellent chef. The grounds were nice. Needs a bit of TLC.
Meal options were quite small, but I was filled by the end of my meal. The waiter was friendly, but the service wasn't great. Meals were given to the wrong people, and drinks weren't refilled.
Went for wedding rehearsal. Food was great service was slow.
When to a Christmas dinner with family. I was very disappointed. No menu's . U picked the 55.00 dinner are the 45.00. Got the steak small but very tender. Small amount of mash potatoes n string beans. Too hard for me.. a dessert. Not worth the ride to me. Would I go back NO.
We enjoyed dinner very much. We were looking forward to the creme brûlée. It took a long time and when it came out, it was very cold. Definitely prepared and stuck in the freezer. Considering the price, you would think it would be freshly made. We had much better in Mandeville at a more casual dinner a few nights prior.
Beautiful place and very attentive staff. But the food wasn't exceptional. The strangest shrimp and grits I have ever had. And not in a pleasing way.
We didn't stay at the B&B. We went there for dinner. It took a long while for the only waitress to get to us. Food was fabulous while the service was not. Especially for the price of the food.
Small historical home turned restaurant in overgrown setting. Food was very disappointing, while good portions definitely not tasteful and quite pricey.
Restaurant used to be so good before the chef left and then new owners or management
Do not go to this place the food was horrendous and the customer service was equally as bad.
I only attempted to eat in the restaurant. We left because it was no clean. Windows were splattered with food, food on the floor, food stains on the chairs. Simply awful.
Slow service. Overwhelmed staff. Plain and predictable food options. Waiter kept asking me to "hand" the plates and drinks along the table for him. I can do that at home.
My wife and I spent two nights in the jacuzzi suite. We concluded our stay feeling very disappointed and ripped off by Trisha, the manager. Communication is a huge issue with this B&B. When we arrived, the building felt abandoned and we weren't sure we were at the right place. I had been instructed to text Trisha when I was close to arriving which I had done to ensure someone would be there to check us in. I had to call her and wait outside of the building for a worker. This individual did not make us feel welcome and simply gave us our bill, keys to the room, and showed us where the room was. He didn't offer a tour or any information and seemed to be in a hurry to leave us in the abandoned building. The room was very tired despite being the most expensive. There is a 20+ year old TV in the room that is so small and far from the bed, it isn't usable. The minifridge was very loud and would kick on randomly in the middle of the night waking us up. There are mirrors everywhere in the room and bathroom which was odd. The mattress is old, uncomfortable and placed on a piece of plywood. We expected there to be information about the plantation and recommended things to do / places to eat in a folder in the room, but there was nothing. There is no working wifi at the B&B. I found the wifi router in the hallway outside of the room, but it appeared to be very old and was restarting itself over and over. I had to contact Trisha and she gave me the wifi password for the restaurant. Unfortunately, this wifi barely worked and our devices would disconnect from it regularly. When we checked in, there was a handwritten note that there would be no breakfast served to us because the staff was off for the holiday. We were discounted $7.50 per person per day as a result which is a pretty meager consolation. I was surprised that Trisha did not mention this when I booked the B&B and wish we would have been told ahead of time. We also booked the room with a jacuzzi tub. The tub itself was dirty when we checked in. It had hair, dirt, and an oily grime that we tried to clean up before using with little success. After filling up the tub, we attempted to turn on the jets with no luck. I contacted Trisha who said "actually, it's a soaking tub only." She offered no apologies and made no attempt to remedy the issue. This is blatant false advertising by the B&B. The shower also had a broken hot water handle which was sitting on the shelf next to the showerhead and there were no tissues in the tissue box. I tried reaching out to Trisha about all of our complaints and issues with the stay and she ignored me. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. We did not feel safe here and it is a huge waste of money.
We booked this place because we wanted a B&B with with charm and a restaurant on property and it had good reviews online. When we booked, they neglected to tell us that they were closed for the week but they still booked rooms. The place was deserted. Only saw the maintenance man who was very nice. We had no services, no food on property, nothing. Property was no where near what it looked like online…very run down. Very disappointing.
Went for New Years Eve get together with friends about 30 or so. The food was like it was prepared by some institution. I knew my dish was microwaved as it was cold in some spots and warm in others. The lemon pie was a joke, I would not serve it to anyone. You would think that this upscale of a place would know how to run a kitchen. Good luck! If there was a no star option that is what I would leave it.
We had a horrible experience with Annadele's. Our guests were 15-30 min late arriving (obviously not uncommon for weddings to run late). When booking the event with their event coordinator, who wasn't even there that night, I was told "Your three hours for the event starts at 6:15 or when the first guest arrived." That makes it sound like it would be no problem if we were a little late. Since we knew we were running late my husband and I stayed behind outside finishing taking pictures with the photographer because we assumed everyone was getting their orders for dinner placed. When we got upstairs nothing was done. Guests still didn't have drinks, appetizers weren't passed, dinner orders hadn't been placed, salads hadn't been served, and there was no bread on the tables. Waiters weren't even offering guests drinks, they were just frantically dropping off waters at the tables. After pleading to the wait staff by myself, my event coordinators, and my dad orders were finally placed by guests almost two hours into the reception. By this point, guests were leaving because their kids were starving and had no food. Besides all of that, one of the rooms used for the reception was unbelievably hot. People were sweating and getting headaches from the heat and from being so hungry. My step mother asked to speak to someone about the heat in that room and she was told "I've had the air conditioner on since yesterday." Where was the apology??? Almost 3 hours into the reception my father and I tried to get an answer on what was taking the food so long and why the service and whole general procession of the evening had been so terrible. The owner spoke to us and was so rude and unapologetic. She was argumentative in saying that we were an hour late.... that is absolutely not true. There are time marks between my event coordinators that are proof of what time the guests started arriving, and what time my husband and I arrived. If anything, my husband and I were 45 min late, but that was only because we stayed outside at annadele's to take pictures because we thought our guests were being taken care of getting appetizers and placing their orders. Guest 100% started arriving within 15 min of the scheduled time. It turned out there was another party going on down stairs and she explained that when we were late, the servers had to go serve the other party. So she blamed US for them being only staffed for one party when they had two going on. Food was finally served after many of the guests had already left, and to top off the night my sister in law and maid of honor had to cut and serve the cake. I've worked in events/weddings myself for many years and I truly didn't know a reception could go this terrible. We had a beautiful ceremony at the church then Annadele's completely ruined the reception.
Went this Xmas service was horrible. Waited 20 minutes to even get water. Severed soups with no spoons had to wait to get spoons. Steak came ice cold had to ask for more tea Worst ever it was obvious this young kid did not know what he was doing. I hope management reads this review as until I get a response we will never return. Patti U
My husband and I received a gift certificate from a family member as a late wedding present to stay the night in the BnB. With how expensive the rooms were, we anticipated a luxurious stay at the plantation. It certainly has a good reputation. When we arrived in our room, however, we were extremely underwhelmed... The jacuzzi tub was full of soap scum and silver fish. You could see the layers of dust and dirt on the bottom of the tub. Paint was peeling off of the walls in the room. Upholstery hooks were on the floor from the curtains. Someone left their bra behind the bookcase that housed the old box television. Half of the lightbulbs were out in the room. The bedsheets were frayed and coarse from overuse and washing. You could see the dust hanging from the canopy above the bed... I really could go on but I feel like I’m beating a dead horse at this point. The only saving grace about the experience was the restaurant. Sunday brunch was awesome and they obviously care about the restaurant more than they care about the guests’ rooms.
HORRIBLE!!! No waitstaff. Terrible service. Waited, and waited....for everything ( including a menu) Food extremely dissappointing, nothing special on the plate. Extremely over priced. For a Saturday night, the place was very empty, quiet, uncomfortable, and impersonal. There are too many places to choose from in Covington to eat to settle for this.
I came for lunch with 3 other ladies. I ordered a side of creamed spinach. I was served a very small bowl containing 5 leaves of spinach swimming into a couple of table spoons of cream. Guess it cost me $1 per spinach leaf ! Well, I know what creamed spinach is, this was the real lazy way to cook creamed spinach, shame on you, go back to cooking school if you want people to keep coming! This will be my last visit to this restaurant.
Spent 300.00 on Valentine's day, terrible service, food was meh, couldn't even get my check for an hour. This makes me sad bc I actually worked here when I was younger and I was bragging to my date about how great of a place it was then. No management to be found, too many bussers, not enough wait staff.
Service was awful. There for 45 minutes before took our order. Another 25 minutes to get water after I got up and found somebody. Brought only 4 of 5 entrees out and one of those was wrong. Another 15 minutes to get last entree. Food was average at best . Had a shrimp salad with only 4 shrimp in it. Chocolate mousse for dessert was very bland. Steak was passable. Brought out gumbo and turtle soup without spoons. Spent $59 person. Won't go back.
