Get outta Paso. A short drive to "kinda" the sticks to a great, iconic kinda dive bar with great food. Sit at the bar. Reminds me of the places I used to play on Route 66 but without the cigarette smoke...well worth it.
Great service, great food, outside seating, and local food. There is a skateboard halfpipe and a stage. Sitting outside is mostly in the shade and fairly cool, even during the day. Lots of good seating options. All the staff are great, burgers came out fairly quickly, the jalapeno burger was great.
I highly recommend going out to the LongBranch. To start, the food is exceptional. I have ordered a variety of food and everything has been awesome. From burgers to the daily specials, the food is great and prices are definitely fair. It's a family atmosphere with outdoor seating. They have occasional concerts and events as well. Go check it out, bring the family, you won't be disappointed.
Omg I can't believe I waited a whole week to review this place!!! From the outside, it looks pretty podunk and run down, but, it's such a hidden gem! The outside patio is so beautiful and spacious. The waitstaff was funny and courteous. But. The. Food.!!! I wish this place was closer to me so I could go more often. I went with a group of 8 and we all got something different and all of the "oohs and aahs" were hilarious. Every single thing we got was amazing. The fried pickles were spectacular and the pickled fruit. The chicken bahn mi burger was the best I've ever had! Highly recommend. I'd give 10 stars if I could
I love this place. It's out away from the town and a laid-back setting. Outside service could be a little quicker on drinks, but overall, awesome place.
Awesome little spot on my way home, the food was amazing, the people were great, and the patio was so nice. The pepper burger was so juicy and cooked perfectly, and my server checked on me just enough. Will absolutely come back when I go back to SoCal for vacation! Also great wine/beer/liquor list!
I’ve been here a few times in the past and the experience was ok. But friends got me to go again and I’m so glad. Coming out of Atascadero this is a new must again. I don’t no who is running it lately but it’s been great all around. Eggs, Benedict and brisket nachos are a must and I’ll be back soon to try more :)
Great outdoor seating area that's great for families and makes you feel alive in the country. While I did not try much food, the beer and wine selection was extensive. Great price ranges to, from $3 beers to $800 dollar wines. I did try the fried pickles, which were fire. 10/10 recommend. Would definitely come back again.
Longbranch Saloon is a wonderful restaurant. I love sitting outside and enjoy the nice summer evenings. The food is really tasty and service is great! It is definitely a family friendly and pet friendly atmosphere. Most of the time that is great, except when people don't pay attention to their kids. Oh, and their Chocolate Mousse cake with toffee inside is AMAZING!
Hands down, the best hamburger I have ever had. This foodie will definitely be back! The vibe is kickback like the comfort of home. The menu is simple and the drinks are amazing! The staff is all friendly and make sure you feel like you just stepped into their house for a visit. My new fav spot!
Cool place and setting, doesn't look like much from the street, but the outdoor seating area is huge and really nice. Highly recommend getting whatever their special is, it never fails to be delicious, and I always go for some fried pickles to start, it's a big serving enough to share.
The Longbranch is one of our favorite spots. Last night my two teenage sons and I arrived at about 8:10 pm. Without hesitation, Benjamin brought us menus and was very pleasant. Often times in our small county, most places will turn diners away at 8 or just before 8 blaming it in closing the kitchen. Not here, and not tonight. There was no rushing us on ordering. He was available when we were ready. The food all arrived in under 10 minutes and was fresh and delicious! Such a treat to be respected and appreciated! Thank you Benjamin and Longbranch! We truly enjoyed our evening with you! And, we were finished by 8:45. Thank you for taking care of us! We will continue to recommend the Longbranch as one of our favorite locations in the county.
What a fantastic surprise this place was. From the road it doesn't look like much, but the food was great, the liquor selection impressive and the service was friendly even on a busy Saturday afternoon. Bacon wrapped jalapenos were super. Will definitely stop again next time I'm in the area.
The Best Hamburger I've had in all of California. Aside from live music and being a bar. This place has top notch food. Their prime Rib earned a 4.5 rating from me as well for Sunday Serve.
Really great place all around. The renovation the new owner did turned out amazing. The outdoor patio is spectacular. There is live music on the weekends and even a half pipe for kids to skate or play on. Food is amazing...if you love burgers you have to try theirs!
If I could give more stars, I would!! Compliments to the chef and team, our burgers were fire! The patties were cooked perfectly :) The staff was super friendly and I loved the vibe. Thank you guys, see you soon!
A great place to go for a really good burger! The fried pickles are killer too! Cocktails are good and strong. It’s worth the drive even if your not local
Really had a great time at the Long branch. People were friendly and professional. The menu might be limited but the food was excellent. Love looking at all the neat stuff used to decorate the place. Trip down memory lane since I grew up in this area. I Will definitely go again and recommend it as a great place to eat and enjoy country hospitality.
We had a lovely time eating great burgers, crispy fries and visiting with family while waiting for our rental check in. The large patio had plenty of shade for us and our dog.
The LongBranch Saloon: A Hidden Gem in Creston That Defies Expectations 🥃🔥 Tucked away in the small town of Creston, The Long Branch was described to me as a dive bar—but what I experienced was something much more memorable. While it might carry that dive bar label on the surface, it’s got a soulful, elevated vibe that completely caught me off guard—in the best way possible. From Dive Bar to Destination 🎶🌌 I expected a dusty old joint that smelled like tobacco and stale beer. What I walked into instead was a hip, lively patio experience with a huge stage for live music, a spacious outdoor area perfect for dancing, and a massive fire pit that was easily six feet across—pure atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can let loose, celebrate, or just kick back and enjoy the night sky with a strong drink in hand. Craft Cocktails That Compete with the Best 🍸🔥 I ordered my go-to: an Old Fashioned made with reserve whiskey, and I was stunned—it could go head-to-head with any high-end cocktail I’ve had in downtown hotspots. It was balanced, bold, and expertly crafted. You could tell this team knows their way around a bar—not just in pouring drinks, but in creating an experience. A Burger Built for Legends 🍔🥓 Let’s talk about the food—because I had a phenomenal burger that was worthy of a standing ovation. Stacked with super thick-cut bacon, a perfectly runny over-easy egg, creamy avocado, and crispy fried onion chips, every bite was savory, juicy, and prepared to perfection. Paired with a side of seasoned fries, it hit that sweet spot between gourmet and comfort food. Any stallion would be lucky to have this hay. Worth the Drive, Every Time 🚗💨 Sure, it takes a few miles to get out to Creston, but The LongBranch is absolutely worth the drive. This was my first time visiting, but there’s no doubt I’ll be back. Whether you’re celebrating with friends, catching some live music, or just want a killer burger and a cocktail under the stars, this place delivers something unexpected and unforgettable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Five stars for surpassing expectations and serving up good times and grub with style. Can't wait for my next LongBranch experience… hopefully it’s not too long.
Awesome saloon with great food & music. Loved our visit and enjoyed the food and drinks, great prices and nice outdoor setting with good music. Food is the type you'd expect at a saloon and nice quality. Will return for sure next time in area
Half dive bar half family friendly restaurant. The outside dining area is PERFECT for enjoying food and drinks on a nice warm evening. They do live music and outside is kid friendly.
We were visiting family after a 3-hr drive, and they recommended Longbranch Saloon for lunch. It was another 24-min in the car, and I couldn’t imagine a lunch restaurant or food being so good that we had to drive that far. Our family said it was a local favorite, and after eating there, I see why! We ate outside in a patio setting that had plentiful seating and felt quaint and personal at the same time. The food was amazing, and the staff was super friendly. It seemed like they were understaffed for the volume of customers, so the wait for food seemed longer than I expected. But these days being short-handed seems common wherever I go, and I didn’t think it was worth removing any stars for that reason. The restaurant has an outdoor skate ramp, and a stage that could accommodate a small band. It seems like it would be a fantastic venue for a party / event. I will definitely request to eat here again the next time we are in town.
Extremely relaxed, casual atmosphere. All outside dining picnic tables, easy for kids to run around and make noise and be themselves. The burger was really good served with plenty of fries. Tons of beer, wine & whiskey options, friendly service, but even though it wasn't very busy they didn't brink us out water refills after having asked twice for it. Overall, we would go back as the servers were friendly, the food was good & prices reasonable and a good way to wind down without feeling like you need to get cleaned up
My wife and I stopped at Longbranch to surprise our daughter and get a bite to eat. We sat outside and enjoyed the wonderful weather. We ordered a glass of Cab each and started with the Grilled Artichoke appetizer. It was really tasty and came with smoked paprika aioli. My wife ordered the Chicken Banh Mi sandwich and I ordered the Creston Burger. Both were very good. My burger was topped with onion strings and my wife's sandwich had marinated chicken topped with a spicy slaw. While the place is not much to look at from the road, the inner courtyard was spacious and very nice. There is a stage for a live band and some covered eating areas as well as smaller tables. Good food and nice atmosohere!
I love this place and will make it a point to go out of my way and stop for a bite and a nice hang. On my way from the coast to Fresno. This place is so cool it makes me want to move to Creston. Food is pretty decent. Good portion sizes, well prepared no complaints there. I really love that a place like this even exists in this day and age. Next time will bring a skateboard.
Y’all……this place is truly a hidden gem. My neighbor kept bugging me about it and it’s about a 45 minute drive to the center of nowhere for burgers at a saloon. Yeah sounds ridiculous but let me tell you, it’s all worth it. The saloon itself is small, but the patio addition is the shining glory of it all. There’s a small skate ramp, a corner stage for a live band, two small open bar locations for larger venues, a small fountain, a glass table in dedication to service people, dog friendly….my goodness. Food is good and the environment is so nice that we hung out for HOURS. There is a pool table inside of course, a corner stage for a band right next to a skate ramp, TONS of seating, a fire pit with Adirondack chairs….places sectioned off but not secluded, t-shirts and poker chip gift cards. My friend drank and talks volumes about the lemon raspberry vodka. Oh and we accidentally found a teeter totter! The waiting area is simple, the hostess stand is cute as all get out and so is the bathroom hidden in the cut. The place is even dog friendly. The general manager brought out a bowl of water and even told the owners they have doggie bags available. Whaaat?!? I don’t have a dog but now I will! Lol My neighbor was drinking and prefers the lemon raspberry vodka drink. I wouldn’t know. I’m DD.
We found this great little place after coming out to see the James Dean Memorial and crash site. The food was delicious and the service was great! The hamburgers are fresh and the fried pickles are so good. You definitely need to stop here if you are in the area!
Rating of this restaurant is accurate. Highly recommend nachos. 5 cheese sauce is chef’s kiss.
Always amazing food. The service is great. Very attentive. One of the best shrimp cocktails I have ever had anywhere. Don’t miss the beat salad. Their almost world famous fried pickles are a must!!!
Super friendly staff and customers. My candied jalepno burger was incredible. And talk about atmosphere! This place has got it all. Come on down to The Long Branch in Creston, and if you mention this review, I'll buy you a beer!
I hadn't been to this place in over 10 years, but I've been hearing some really good things about the new ownership, and they were all true. Spicy Margarita was pretty much perfect. I can't wait to go back and get some food, the place was busy and everything I saw looked super good. Cheers
Very nice ambiance and good food.
Laid back and awesome. Wonderful staff and casual music on weekends. Great food. Sunday Brunch a Must!
Very cool spot for drinks and burgers.

I love the laid back, casual, family-oriented atmosphere of this spot! Awesome outdoor seating with plenty of space, adequate shade, and a stage for live music. This is one spot I tend to bring friends when they're in town.
Best hamburger I have ever eaten. Fried pickles, spice combination is addicting, the dipping sauce is the cherry on top! Patio is comfortable , dog friendly. Inside vibes water saloon. Staff is friendly & attentive.Just like Blake Shelton's "I love this bar, Come as you are🎶🎵

The food was really good, but $8 for a half of a mimosa and $15 for a bloody Mary, was way over my budget. Had the drinks had been a little less expensive I would have stayed a lot longer, and drank more. But I do have to say the ambience is magnificent.
food was great. The outdoor dining area is very relaxing and kid friendly. It does take a while to get drinks. I ordered a bucket of beers and it took over 20 minutes to get them, this is the second time this has happened to me. overall still a great evening.
Good food, fun place. We were there with large party. They handled us we and were accommodating with my weird food issues.

I'm very impressed. They upped their game. Good food. Fast service. Ice cold beer. Reasonable prices. I'll be back.

6-month follow-up. Still takes forever to get drinks. We only ordered beer and sodas. The food came before the drinks. Highly recommended you stop in at the bar and pick up drinks before sitting down. I'm lowering my previous four stars down to three because of this. Quality food. Drinks are good. Only problem is slow service when on the patio. Drinks seem to take longer than anything else, even beer! This is strange because alcohol sales is where profits and larger tips are made. I've been there many times since they opened and this has not changed. I recommend getting your table then heading straight in to the bar to get your drink and then sit down. Of course if you sit at the bar this is not an issue.
Not happy with the bartenders. I had to go to the bar to get drinks because they did not take drink orders with the food orders. Lame. The 2 bartenders did not pay attention to who had been waiting the longest. It was clearly my turn after waiting for about 25 minutes(there was a whole line of people behind me) and the bartender took 3 people (who had walked up and waited for about 5 minutes) before the rest of us. I tried to waive at him to let him know I was next and he ignored me. I ended up leaving the bar area with no drinks and was pissed I wasted my time for nothing. On a positive note, I saved money. We drove a long way to try this place that was recommended to me by a friend and there was 9 in our group. The food was good but, unfortunately, the bartenders were rude. I'm not sure if I'll go back anytime soon! An apology would have been nice.
Appetizers arrived before our drinks, which took FOREVER. And the mind numbing over simplistic repetitive sounding modern country music overwhelmed the ok food and beautiful outdoor dining area.
