Food was fantastic and the ice cream Macaroons 💪🏼👌🏼 shout out to the cooks!
I love Sticky Rice in Richardson. The food is always so flavorful and they’ve got great service. I ordered the wrong meal by mistake but they had so much grace and remade my usual order. 5 stars to the crew!
If I could give this place a 10 star, I would! Sticky Rice in Richardson is a gem! The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned—every dish feels authentic and made with care. The herb chicken fried rice is a must, and the curries and noodle dishes never disappoint. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Whether dining in or taking out, it’s always a great experience. Highly recommend!
The food was excellent! I enjoyed it outside in my truck and took some home with me. It was still wonderful even after the ride. Plus, they have dishes from Lao, which is my favorite. Highly recommend!
Sticky Rice is hands down one of my favorite restaurants. Every time I go, I have to order the crab ragoon egg rolls and the herb chicken fried rice, it’s my go-to combo. The egg rolls are always crispy and flavorful, and the herb chicken fried rice consistently delicious. Don’t forget the Thai tea 🤌🔥
Had a great meal at Sticky Rice. It came recommended by a colleague and it did not disappoint. The fried rice was great and the crab cream cheese rolls are amazing. The service was a bit odd but they seem like nice people, the server who brought out the food was friendly and the lady at the front was nice but very direct. Atmosphere is ok, it’s standard and clean but boring. The food is amazing and that’s all that matters.
Highly recommend!!! I had a taste for Lao and Thai food and ran across this gem on google. The food is Delicious with generous amounts of food at that. The flavor was great, minus the chicken and shrimp, they both were pretty bland in my combination Thai fried rice, which I had at spice level 4(Very spicy) . It did not stop me from eating it. My fiancé had the combination pad kee mow which was packed with lots of food and flavor
Loved the cleanliness and friendly atmosphere of this Loatian Resturant. The food was affordable and delicious ranging from appetizers, curries, fried rice, noodles, signature entrées, desserts and many more. You absolutely have to try the Infamous Herb Chicken Fried Rice!! Yummy!! Definitely recommend and can't wait to go back!
My wife and I thought about trying out a place with spicy food so we visited Sticky Rice. We've been to the one in sachse but this one's on a Strip in Cityline and there were other stores to check out too. We tried a pad Thai and pineapple curry. The portions were deceptively huge! We ended up not finishing and took leftovers home. The dishes were both really tasty. We tried spice level 2 (out of 5) and it was just the right amount of kick. We will be back with the rest of the family to try out other dishes.
Great late night place for Asian food in the area. Got the pineapple fried rice (solid), pad see ew noodle (meh), sticky mango. got the mild spiciness. Even though the dishes were cooked well, I thought that flavors were lacking. Not enough oomph and Asian flavors. Sticky rice mango was solid ending.
As much as I hate to do this, this is very needed. It’s our first time visiting and while the food was GREAT, met every need, the customer service wasn’t. We ordered the herb chicken as well as the chicken egg rolls and mango sticky rice. Everything came out quickly, hot and fresh. Where things put a bad taste in our mouth was the cashier taking orders. She was very unwelcoming, and SOOO nonchalant. She just threw our change in our hand like we were an animal, perceived agitated that we took long to decide what we wanted when we were the only people in there. Now she told me her name was Michelle when I asked, not sure how true that is but as a nice restaurant as this is, someone like this who has NO customer service etiquette does NOT need to be the face of an establishment meant to service the public. This INFURIATES me because I typically don’t make reviews like this but it’s totally unacceptable. It’s distasteful! If you don’t like your job, don’t work in service. It hurts me to say as much as this food was PHENOMENAL, I will not be spending my dollars here again!
Herb crusted chicken fried rice was outstanding. But my goodness, the young lady taking orders is incredibly unpleasant. She does not smile, she makes you feel like you’re a bother and she overrides your requests for what she thinks you need such as something so trivial like to go box size. It is unfortunate such outstanding food could be clouded by such underwhelming, almost contemptuous service.
I've been here 4 times, so I feel it's a solid 4! Best thing is the crab cream cheese rolls. Thank me later as I've had them twice, and they were fried to perfection. Idk if they are using an air fryer, but they were not oily, just the best. I've had the red and green curry, they both seemed like the basic curry recipe. I prefer the red and the white sticky rice they serve and are cooked well too. The papaya salad was good, but I did not care for the additional bed of cabbage under it. Maybe if the cabbage was dressed in some sauce, but I ate the papaya part as that was tasty and refreshing. I feel papaya is like a palette cleanser. The herb chicken fried rice is 50/50 for me. Chicken was fried right and was moist, but there was too much breading for me. I'm more of a light breading vs. thick breading. The fried rice that was under it was bomb, and seriously, 3 people could eat on that plate as there was a lot of food. Every time I go, I def get dessert as they serve Joy Macarrons ice cream sandwiches. Overall, tasty eats & I will go again.
Not as good as the sticky rice in murphy but it's good. The sticky rice in murphy has more selection it seems like and they have crispy chicken which is FRIKIN AMAZING. This place is clean has very cool art work on the walls. It's small and quiet. Prices aren't too high. Very clean resturaunt also.
Food was ok. We got the herb chicken fried rice and the chicken was great 😃👍🏻 crispy and tasty. The rice was a bit too greasy for me. We also got the pad see ew with pork spicy level 3. It was good, could use more salt I felt it was lacking depth. All I tasted was spicy. Also the pork was so dry Also got the ice cream sandwiches. I only tried the cookies and cream. When you get it, the sandwhich will be very hard to eat. For taste it was alright, I couldn't finish it. Definitely not worth $7.50 although it is decently sized
Very disappointing experience when I went here I always go to the Murphey location which is known for their Tom Yum soup and how delicious and authentic it is I ordered the Tom Yum same spice level same way mince chicken it came. It was like an oil mine. I asked why it was so early and they told me because of the mince chicken, which I’ve never heard of that before because I get it that way all the time it also did not have lemon grass gang over or any of the typical things The Murphy location has in there tommy on the soup. The experience started out awful. When I walked in. They told me they had no ice and they had no soda and I said isn’t that a cooler right there don’t you have ice in it he said no we don’t have any ice. Can you check? He’s like OK we have a little so he gave me some ice in a cup and the only beverage they had was water or bottled drinks, but they didn’t have the bottle drink that I was able to drink and diet. I am in kidney failure, so I’m extremely sensitive oily foods. That said they did refund me for the food and even offered to make a new one. However they told me that they make things different than they do at the Murphy location so I said I’ll just go with a refund the gentleman at the cash register was very, very nice and accommodating. It was just a very disappointing experience. If you’re used to the food at Murphy, you will be getting a totally different experience at this location, the interior also looks like a cafeteria.
I placed an order for two pad Thai entrees for takeout. The service was great, but the food was extremely disappointing. The flavor was lacking. It tasted like old cooking oil was used. Very one note, with an acrid after taste. No brightness, as is expected from pad Thai. The texture of the tofu was all shriveled up, as if it was old or overcooked. Both entrees had the same issues. After only a couple bites, we both ended up tossing them in the trash, as they were inedible. Extremely disappointing.
