Great spot! The booths are super spacious and its a comfortable dining experience. Our waitress was also really patient with us when we hadn't yet decided what we wanted (we were yapping lol). Food was really good, but it wasn't the absolute most impressive. I ordered the Tex-Mex Chorizo Omelette, but I think there are probably better things to try from the menu! The Lavendar Matcha Latte was also very delicious!
A very nice unexpected coffee treat. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and willing to take talk to talk to us about their food and coffee. (Being that it was our first time there.) The building was clean and has a "old town coffee cafe" feel for the atmosphere. The fruit parfait was fresh and set up beautifully. The coffee is WONDERFUL. There was no acidic bite to the coffee. I had a latte (no added sugar)and my son had the French press. Both forms of the coffee were great. I am excited we found Coffee House Cafe.
For some reason I love this place. Every time I make it to Dallas, I like to go. Food is good & staff is kind.
They serve good coffee, breakfast tacos, paninis and options for healthy sides like fruit or salad. Why is this so hard for Dallas restaurants to get on board with? This place has better food than many of the spots nearby. They also have a clean dining room. And we love the drive through when in a hurry for grab and go dining.
Second visit here and could not be happier with my experience. Huge shout out to Victor P. — incredible service! He had great recommendations and made our experience so pleasant. I couldn’t believe he had only been working here two weeks at the time, he was so gracious and patient (I can be a bit much as a patron, lots of questions, etc.). Victor was more than happy to help and he made our meal all the better. Food was delicious - highly recommend the brisket omelette! Got the lemon ricotta pancakes, too. The lemon ricotta is IN the pancake batter, so don’t judge from the photos! They’re fantastic. Can’t wait to come back — and request to be in Victor’s section :)
I took my sister there as she was taking me home from eye surgery. They have really good coffee. The food was good and tasty. I ordered a Denver omelette with potatoes and toast and my sister ordered a simple Belgian waffle. Both were very good. The only problem was that I asked to not include the peppers in the omelette, but they were still in it. No big problem. When I mentioned it to the server, he did not try to blame the kitchen. He owned up to his own mistake and I appreciate that attitude. I have been there a few times before and that’s why I go back. It’s worth a visit.
First time to eat here...will definitely go back. I ordered the Farmhouse and everything was delicious. The service was excellent too.
This is a hidden gem!! It's not often you find a good latte AND good food at the same place. But this café did it!
This is a nice relaxing coffee shop with a pretty big menu. I’ve been a few times before coronavirus and they always had good food, good service and a nice atmosphere. Coffee is good and food is fresh. They also have a drive through window which makes things easier right now when you may not want to be inside a restaurant.
I went here with my friend for brunch and brunch did not disappoint! The French toast sandwich was really good!! It wasn’t super sweet at all and it blended really well. Mimosas were $2 with three different flavors: orange juice, pineapple, and grapefruit. I also ordered the Dragon Pearl Jasmine Tea and it tasted absolutely delicious! For as busy as the restaurant was, we got our food relatively really fast - within 7 - 10 minutes. We were impressed. Our server was attentive and would check with us every 10 minutes. The menu was limited, but there were so many good options to choose from. I’d definitely will come back here again.
This is a great restaurant with a great variety of food! They have brunch food and amazing breakfast tacos (smoked gouda & bacon was excellent) as well as lunch type food. Another one of my favorites is the cobb salad. Generous portions and fresh and delicious foods. The atmosphere is fun and cool. And they even have a drive through which is great for a quick bite or take out.
Best breakfast I’ve had in Dallas so far. I’ve been to some pretty good places, but nothing compared to this. The pic of the shrimp n grits is beautiful, but it tastes even better. I’ve had it 5-6 times and it’s perfect every time. The beignets are SO good and it would be a mistake to visit and not try them. If you do, you may order more. Also try the Signature Latte. Not a big latte guy, but this cup of coffee blew me away. I will keep coming back every chance I get.
Love this place! The food was delicious and fresh. My favorite part about this place is that they have a drive-thru. Their signature cold brew is hands down one of the best cold brews I’ve had and it’s so convenient to be able to pick it up any time without having to sit down and order.
My wife and I went here to celebrate Valentine's day a day early due to the incoming weather, driving 50 minutes just to come here. It's a special place for us because we had our first date here over 9 years ago and have been married over 8 years. We got hot drinks and appetizers and took a stroll down memory lane. Server was nice, staff was attentive, atmosphere was cozy, they handled COVID procedures with excellence, just as good as we remember!
This coffee house is a gem! Exceptional breakfast and lunch options, with standout dishes like the omelette and hash brown casserole. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service make it a 5-star experience. Don't miss their signature house latte – it's amazing! Highly recommended.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nicole was an absolute gem this morning, from excellent recommendations, to continuous and attentive care. The food was good but the grits have cheese in them if you’re looking for regular grits. The latte was amazing like thoroughly amazing. We decided to split a few entrees a chef plated both of our plates for us to each enjoy and not have to split ourselves. Overall a great experience- drinks as in adult coffees are very over priced with cordials costing $10 but that’s not enough to not return. Overall great experience!
Breakfast traditions are the best. Silver dollar lemon pancakes with the grandkids is what we are all about. This place always has great food, on some days the service can be off...😫 Today was a good day, got in right away and exceptional service with a smile 😁. Lunch and dinner are just as good and they have a pretty good bar. Sunday morning sunshine ☀️
Coffee House has been part of our breakfast rotation for years but now it’s my main go to. For one, I found my favorite dish - the Southwest Incredibowl with brisket. The sauce is flavorful and I love the sweet potatoes. Second, their staff is great. It used to take awhile to get our food, but now both tbeir kitchen and server staff is awesome (and food comes out quickly). Lastly, we are now a dog family and their patio is terrifically heated during those colder mornings for us to bring our little pupster.
Our experience here today was nothing short of amazing. The staff was so kind, the food was amazing and the service, even being packed here was SO quick. Ryan was our server and he was great! Our food came out in about 5 minutes! The owners came up to our table a few times to ask how we were doing and were so sweet! I love how they are involved in the day to day here at the restaurant. My son said his grilled cheese was one of the best he’s ever had, my food was amazing also. We will definitely be coming back!!!
I had the Southwest Incredibowl (GF) with Chorizo, delicious, it hit the spot for me! Kimberly was our server. She was amazing, kind, patient, and very accommodating. My friend and I had our two dogs on the shaded/fully covered patio and Kimberly was super kind to our babies and provided water and pup cups. I’ll be back. Thank you Kimberly for your wonderful service.
Of course it was excellent,my god died an went to heaven.my breakfast burger was to made to perfection, everything was made exactly the way I requested it to be .waiter was the best once he caught up with how busy he was ,owner greeted us . drinks were refilled promptly.one thing I didn't like I felt like I was boxed in once seated .but honestly everything else was 110% .made up for anything I picked out .
Ryan was an excellent server! He was funny and nice the whole time for our (my boyfriend and I) first experience at this restaurant. From the beignets, to the drinks, to the main entrées, I couldn’t have been more happy. The beignets were crunchy, soft, and pillowy with just the right amount of sweetness. The bagel and cream cheese was a true classic, greatly appreciated. The burgers were moist, juicy, well seasoned, and definitely worth the price. As for the drinks, we were overall pleased with the flavors.
I’m absolutely love this place! I have made it part of my normal routine after my workout, for a carry out order and today I’m dining in for the first time. Everything from the environment, the food and the service is executed perfectly. The experience feels so genuine and personal and the food is really delicious. (Especially the almond croissant) If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by. The service is quick, even on a Saturday afternoon and prices are affordable.
The service is great, food is also great. I like the fresh herb omelette. They come with house potatoes, which are amazing and by far the best breakfast potatoes I’ve had. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and their coffee is the best around the area. Can’t beat $2 mimosas either! Overall, a great brunch place
Beautiful coffee house with a great blend of all day food, drinks and coffee options! We ordered the caprese avocado toast, berry French toast mascarpone, signature cappuccino w/ vanilla and Lavender vanilla latte. Though the Lavendar vanilla latte looked good, I would rate the taste a 2/5. Rest of the dishes taste amazing!! Great service and ambiance.
Ist time here & I loved it!!!! Food is delicious, generous portions & the menu has a wide variety to choose from. The atmosphere is perfect, not too loud & the wait staff is AMAZING!!!
We've been here a few times and we can't get enough of the atmosphere. We've been here to eat, we've been here for just the coffee, and we've been here to hole up and work on client projects for hours on end. The vibe is great, the coffee is amazingly smooth, and the seating is comfy. Wait staff is spectacular, the music is solid, and I can't stop using the rule of threes. We'll definitely be back. So many times. In spite of the quizzical redundancy of the business name.
Great food, amazing coffee (with a lot of decaf options) and a cozy atmosphere. I especially like the shrimp and grits.
Excellent breakfast spot! Highly recommend the beignets (get them with honey!). The coffee is very good, and there are many options as far as lattes, espresso drinks, and even pour overs. My partner and I ordered a Classic Eggs Benedict and a Pepperjack Brisket Omelet. Both of these were very good. However, the hash brown casserole that we both got as a side was just okay, and we probably wouldn’t get it again. Overall we really enjoyed this breakfast— our server was great, too!
Best coffee house around and in such a convenient location for myself! Every time I stop by the lot is packed, and for good reason. The staff are attentive and very kind, especially the hostess and the man at the bar. Will continue to patron every time I come into town.
Breakfast is always good! I usually sit at the bar but it was too many people seated there so I opted for a booth. When I’m out to eat, I don’t care for many people surrounding me. The waitress was decent but sweet. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which came with toast, but don’t be alarmed by the picture. It’s really good especially with the spinach and mushrooms! Definitely a nice place to enjoy your meal, free of too many distractions. Also, military discount, which is important to some people. I will be back!
Coffee House has become part of the regular rotation. Breakfast options and quality are great. Lunch sandwiches are plentiful and taste great. Service has been very attentive and friendly, and the many coffee options are top notch.
Delicious brunch food on a Saturday morning! We enjoyed our visit very much! Highly recommend the avocado toast! It was a total flavor bomb!! The smoked salmon bagel was also good, but not as good as the avocado toast! Service was prompt and kind. Booth was comfortable. Noise level was moderate. Easy to hear one another, but not so quiet that you couldn’t take some lively kiddos.
I recently had breakfast here and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish! The food was truly great. I ordered the pancakes and they were fluffy, perfectly cooked, and served beautifully with a dusting of powdered sugar and a side of syrup.Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. What really stood out, however, was the coffee. It was so rich and flavorful—easily one of the best cups I've had at a restaurant in a long time. It was the perfect pairing for the meal. If you're looking for a spot with delicious, quality food and exceptional coffee to start your day, I highly recommend checking it out. I'll definitely be back!
I love this place! I am so mad at myself for not visiting before! You have no idea how many times I have passed the same road for years! On my way to school or work or shopping or whatever it was and always there. I just happen to go to a different brunch place and they were not very nice so then I told my mom "let's see where the road takes us". So I got on the street Frankford and started driving East, then I saw it Coffee House Cafe. Idk why I decided to pulled into the parking lot but I did. This is now added to our favorite Brunch places! Cute, great food, and Great Customer service (Gio! You the man). We were greeted right away and seated with no wait time! Giovanni took care of us the first time we went and he had great recommendations! We gave everything a 10/10! Coffee latte were a piece of art as well. It definately put a smile on my face after the rough morning I had. Thank you Gio for the great experience. We went back again and we had someone else who took care of us and she was great too! (I apologize for not remembering her name) She spoke Spanish to my mom after my mom was struggling what to order and im glad she did! My Mom is picky especially when it comes to coffee... she loves it! She made me laugh by saying..."this place has coffee in its name so it better be good!" Hahahah it's good! Pictures below are from two separate visits. Anything brisket soo good.
I had a wonderful experience at Coffee House Café on 5/23/25, and I want to highlight the exceptional service provided by our waitress, Sydney B. She was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the entire visit—truly a standout in hospitality. I dined in and ordered the Specialty Signature Latte with whole milk, the Shrimp & Grits, and the Challah French Toast. Every item was delicious and well-prepared—full of flavor and beautifully presented. Sydney ensured everything came out just right and checked in regularly without being intrusive. I sat at the bar, which had a great vibe—comfortable and not overly noisy. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing breakfast. The restroom was also clean and well-maintained, which is always a big plus. Overall, between the excellent food, clean environment, and Sydney B’s top-notch service, this visit was a 10/10. Highly recommend!
My wife and myself are trying this for the first time as I type and this place is wonderful! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is quite pleasant, the service is top tier and the prices seem a little low for the quality you receive. They can easily charge 40% more for this level of satisfaction. I highly recommend this place for anyone! We had a variety of food, crab cakes, pancakes, shrimp tacos, truffle fries, the lattes, mimosas, and even the water was excellent! I’m definitely going to visit this place again several times. The service was fast and we got exactly what we ordered and are full! Great hidden gem!
I have been coming here for the past couple years. I like to try a new item on the menu each time i come here. So i have tried a whole bunch of different things, and it’s always been good and great quality. They have new owners now, the same people who owned Cafe de France , so experienced restaurateurs that know what they’re doing. They added a few things like some croissants and muffins. The staff is always professional and courteous. I just love the ambiance, the variety and the service!
Came here for breakfast. Service was a little slow at first. Took a while to be greeted upon entry and then it took a bit for a server to come to our table. Once we had a server our coffee came quickly. I got a s’mores latte which was sweet and creamy and my husband got the signature cold brew. The signature cold brew has a layer of caramel sauce on the bottom. It’s delicious and really sweet. The food came in a timely manner. I got the Reuben Benedict and it was amazing. My husband got the ultimate farmhouse and everything was good aside from the pancakes. They were quite tough. We let the server know but was still satisfied with the rest of the meal. The restaurant is clean and well kept and the manager greeted us at our table. Our bill was $48 dollars before tip. All in all we were satisfied and will return.
I’ve only been once, but I am now a fan! The signature lattes were delicious! 😋 I really enjoyed the Toffee Hazelnut Mocha & Salted Caramel Butterscotch; both were exceptional. The salmon Benedict was tasty, with a good portion size, and reasonably priced. Our server Bill was fantastic, very helpful, and friendly. Everyone at our book club loved it! ☺️
Always have a great dining experience here. It's one of those great breakfast restaurants that also has great lunch and dinner options. Always friendly service, yet to get a meal I didn't like, and in most cases good portions I can't finish. If there was one suggestion I would make, get bigger cups for your mochas! For the premium price of a mocha it definitely should be larger than the cups which seem smaller than a normal coffee cup.

It was a Saturday morning and I figured I'd switch up the location and try something new in the local Dallas area. I didn't feel like being basic and going to Starbucks wanted something with a little more flavor ;) Upon arriving I decided to sit outside because it was a lovely day and this area was better suited to take advantage of that. The first step was to get caffeinated and the coffee was exceptional. After ordering I got set up into my focused mode, my laptop, and headphones. The service was great and so was the coffee. I left after about an hour or two but quickly started to think that this outdoor area could be better utilized/modernized. Allow me to embellish, if there had been music I would have doubled my time and money spent at this location EASY. When I say music I am talking more Cafe Music, Jazz, Bossa Nova and Lo-Fi. This music sets the perfect mood for productivity/focus as I start my day. I would highly recommend hiring DJ Taxi to entertain your outdoor guests as they start their day.#DJTaxi can provide the Cafe Music, Jazz, Bossa Nova and Lo-Fi mentioned above! Here is some of DJ Taxi's social proof! -Facebook @djtaxitx -Instagram @dj_taxitx
It's definitely not what it used to be but still enjoyed my visit ,loved absolutely loved my waiter Missy I believe she was absolutely lovely with my babies couldn't appreciate her more , my kids loved her tooo. It was very nice since passing by the area we stopped and had brunch ... I had my fav french toast challah breakfast sandwich, kids had pancakes , bacon and fruit , I forgot what hubby had 😂😂 but he didn't complain 😅
5 star for food, hospitality, and cleanliness. The owner decided to buy a robot to seat people and it’s a highly inconvenient addition to the restaurant. It rolls us to our table but is in the way of one person sitting down at the table itself. Then a server still has to come and grab the silverware and menu to seat us[
I'd give this place a solid 4. I ordered the house reuben with the hashbrown casserole, caramel marquee drink ,and beignets. The hashbrown casserole was super oily. It was tasty, but drenched in oil. I was able to make two meals out of the house reuben. It was definitely a lot of food. i wasn't a big fan of the potatoes. The beignets were alright and served with a dipping sauce. Not bad. I got them for free, so I have nothing to complain about with that. I'd definitely come back here again, but would not order the house reuben again. It wasn't bad, but definitely not to my liking.
I didn’t stay long. My review is purely on the vibe of the café and coffee. The vibe. The location I thought was kinda unique. It’s ok a lot that is spacious and not cramped, so it already feels big. From the outside, it’s very old looking and my feeling I was stepping into an actually vintage cafe. There’s quite a bit of parking, but turning off Frankford, I missed a lot. Inside- was shocking. One side is sit-down restaurant, middle is café/bar, and then right side is full on outside patio. I didn’t look at the restaurant, but the bar and cafe was very rustic, cozy, closed in, and chair all around. It’s pretty dark, but that’s a good feeling to me..... gives me a satisfaction of relaxation. And there’s nothing too over blowing that takes your focus from what you want to do there. Staff. Employees were moving in and out from every angle. One bar tender an she was nice. Greeted me with a smile within 10 seconds and grabbed my order with confidence. Coffee. I got the Large Mocha Mexicana. It was $4.93 with everything included. And it was probably about 12 oz. I think for being a me simple as it was, it was a little bit pricey. Just like Starbucks these days is over pricey. But I could taste the Mexican Dark Chocolate, Espresso, and heat which is expected, but not always my temperature of desire. I would go again and bring a gang to show them around and make this a place a regular visit. HENCE THE 4 STARS I also like how there was a corner stage, but it wasn’t clear what actually is performed there or if In use. They do serve breakfast to dinner, had pastries, and drink for all ages. Is this a place for kids- I would suggest not.
Enjoyed my brunch at Coffee House Cafe! I got the crab cake benedict. It wasn't the most amazing benedict I've ever had, but the eggs were perfectly poached and the potatoes were probably the winner of the restaurant. Enjoyed the bottomless house coffee with my meal. It was crowded but service was still great 😊
Espresso Martini is in my top ten! Especially since they use real espresso compare to most places nowadays. Chicken & Waffles-Is pretty average, wasn’t the best chicken and waffles I’ve had. They do have lot of options here and especially for veggie lovers too. I’ve tried some of the other food here, and it’s been pretty good! It is nice place to grab mimosas, speciality craft coffees and drinks! The atmosphere is very good too!
Husband decided to spring this place on me recently. Absolutely loved the Irish coffee. I ordered the chicken fried chicken for breakfast. Was very bland but nothing a little salt and pepper couldn't handle. Potatoes were cold but tasty. The venue is beautiful and very clean. Has a pretty cool patio and Even a furniture drive-thru! Will try it again in the future.
My family took me here for Mother's Day. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Our server, Missy, was great. She was attentive, helpful, and funny. I ordered the crab cakes and beignets. We enjoyed them both. The beignets are pretty small compared to ones I've had at other places, and I have had my fair share. Lol. The food was pretty good. We all really liked the seasoned house potatoes. The pancakes were a little dry, but that is really my only complaint. They sold out of the hashbrown casserole, so we didn't get to try it, but we are going to go back so that we can. Overall, it was a good experience.
I loved the ability to reserve a table and getting taken immediately to it upon arrival. The service was average, server took our order and came back at the end of our meal, instead of doing routine table checks. I had the chicken fried steak, the skin was will seasoned but unfortunately it was mostly skin and very little steak. I loved the breakfast potatoes, they came piping hot. My wife was pleased with her food. We also like the the table and the design of the restaurant.

Cold eggs, I don't know how food can be cold when placed on the table but it was probably due to the inattentive wait staff. I dislike seeing staff sitting around especially if I have to come find them.
Food was not that great looks better than it tastes... it was made to order but my eggs were not cooked long enough the home frys taste like the freezer and my French toast was fried thick bread served with syrup I gave 3 stars bc the service was good and the atmosphere was good on the patio...
Came for lunch today. We had the turkey bacon avocado panini, chicken pecan salad sandwich, and the turkey club. We all had a cup of tomato basil soup. Soup was tasty. I would say overall it was better than average. Ambiance is cozy and the service was good. Next time we'll go and try their breakfast and coffee. For all of our meals with just water, it was around $50.
We went for the first time this morning. The service was great. Ryan was responsive, nice and respectful. The drinks were good. We had a lavender matcha, a Bloody Mary, and a Irish cold brew. The food was okay. It came out fast and was hot. I got a burger and it came out with the meat on top and all the topping on the bottom which was a big odd to eat. My boyfriend ordered crab cakes Benedict and the egg was so over cooked it was like we were having boiled eggs. 😭
I ordered two eggs and some vegetables and asked to substitute the toast and the side order for two pancakes and got a $25 bill. They quoted us $12-$14 when we brought the attention to The owner he played dumb couldn’t explain it so we paid the overpriced bill and won’t be back
Made a reservation for Father's Day for my husband who LOVES coffee. I plan to return to see if service is a little quicker and try a different entree. The room we were sat in was loud because of large groups around the room. This made it a challenge to have conversation at our table of 4 and be heard at our table. I ordered the brisket tacos with a side of cheese grits. I recommend the brisket tacos but not the cheese grits. The grits didn't have a flavor. My husband ordered cornbeef hash, my mom the Ultimate Farmhouse. My son the kids silver dollar Pancakes.
I used to love Coffee House Cafe! I would bring friends and family all the time. However, they’ve gone down in quality over the last 2 years. I remember getting chicken apple sausage links that were smaller/soft, really seasoned potatoes, and a little flower on my plate! Today, I ordered the same thing and got given these huge dark sausages and the waiter told me they were the exact same and they’ve never changed. But alas, they have and these new ones are hard to cut and not so good. The whole plate is what I’m used to, the pic of the sausages is what I got today.. plus the potatoes aren’t as crunchy or seasoned anymore.

Have been coming here for more than a decade. We’ve always enjoyed our meals and service. The bartender this morning was out of line. He was cursing and snapping at staff; one expletive after another which was very stressful to hear. I worked in the service industry for more than 10 years. I know how Mother’s Days go… I also know the staff is likely tipping him out which means that it is the management’s job to ensure someone on big days like today can handle the stress and pressure with dignity and grace. I left so stressed out by his actions and demeanor. It will be a while until we return.
The food is excellent and always has been. I ordered the farmhouse and every part of it was fantastic. The service was not good. I sat at the bar and was greeted with a water and menu after about 2 minutes even though no one else was sitting at the bar. It took more than 5 minutes for the bartender to come back to ask for my order. When my food came there was no pepper or ketchup in front of me and the bartender was no where to be found. I had to go to two different stations to find the other two items. The condiments in front of each seat are more than half empty (ketchup, S/P, sweeteners) and should be filled more regularly especially when it’s as slow as it was. I’ve now been sitting here for 7 minutes after finishing my meal and will have to wave down the bartender (who is currently chatting with the hostess) to get my check. These things can all be improved with a high attention to detail. I’m hopeful that this feedback will produce a better outcome for the next customer.
Had not been there in a few years. We went this weekend for brunch. The food is really bad! The food USED to be delicious, the coffee was wonderful, but not anymore. We ordered the pork chop breakfast and the pork chop was off. It tasted like the meat was bad. So we sent it back. The biscuits had a rancid taste. The coffee had no taste. The grits just did not taste right. The quality is not the same! We're never going back. It was an awful brunch. Our waiter was very apologetic. It wasn't his fault. I don't know what happened with their food, but I think they have new owners. I would not recommend.
When I walked in, the smell of coffee surrounded me. And it smelled very very good. I wanted to try this place because I saw that they had chicken fried steak. And let’s just say I was a little disappointed. The service was great, she gave us good coffee recommendations. The wait time for food was a little long but everything was hot and freshly cooked. I got the chicken fried steak with a hash brown casserole. The chicken fried steak did not hit the spot unfortunately but the hashbrown casserole was very cheesy and delicious. The plate was a lil oily but other than that I’m not too disappointed. The chicken fried steak definitely needs more flavor and was a little tough that even the knife couldn’t cut through it. The signature hash wasn’t bad but the eggs were overcooked. Overall, I would definitely come again for the coffee.
I have been a regular here since 2016. For the longest time, I had this place rated as 5 stars. I can no longer give it this good a rating. It is evident that since the management changed in 2023, the quality has been steadily declining. 1) The coffee - while still decent, is not as good as it once was. 2) The service - staff aren’t as attentive, pleasant, or knowledgeable about the menu as they used to be. 3) The menu - the menu options haven’t changed much, (besides spell-check not being used before printing the new menus), but the food is not anywhere near as good as it used to be. The products being served up are significantly lacking in the quality they once used to have. Safe to say, I am not coming back anytime soon.
Food looked great in the reviews but didn’t taste great in person. I was in a party of six so we were sat in a back room with all the other large parties where it was next to impossible to hear anything because of a very loud party next to us. The acoustics in that room really aren’t great for large groups because the sound just bounces around and amplifies itself so we couldn’t hear anyone at our table. We asked to be seated elsewhere (even our server was shocked by how loud it was), but they didn’t have any other space and they didn’t ask the obnoxious table of 6+ to please use their inside voices. My 6 month old was quieter than this table of adults. Everyone at the table got a wide range of breakfast staples such as benedicts, pancakes, French toast, grits, breakfast potatoes, and eggs. Nothing was really worth writing home about and we actually ended up returning the French toast because it wasn’t egg soaked at all so it just tasted like toast unfortunately. there was also a bit of a weird taste to the sausage patties. We ended up getting the croissant beignets instead and were very disappointed at how greasy they were with very little taste. Always disappointing when a new place just doesn’t pan out.

Ordered food to go and waited 20min before anyone even came to the window. Told them the name of the order and they left again for another 15min before they came back just to say the wrong name and…
Do not order for delivery it to go. Part of the items were missing and when I called I was told they cannot do anything about it. Ordered the Benedict and it had no Hollandaise sauce. That's the entire part of the Benedict. The manager could have cared less.
We’ve been going to Coffee House Café for a few years - something has definitely changed recently—probably with the new ownership. It’s just not the same anymore. The last two times we’ve gone, the service has been really slow. Not just “a little wait” slow, but more like two hours from the time we walked in to the time we paid—for breakfast. And the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. On our most recent visit, we got there at 10:15 a.m. Our server took our drink order, then disappeared. By 10:45, I had to go find the hostess just to let someone know we were ready to order. That’s when the server came back, apologized, and said she’d forgotten to put in our drink order. She also mentioned she was really overwhelmed. We finally got our drinks at 11:15, and the food didn’t show up until 11:30. The poor server was so stressed, she actually started crying at the table. We honestly felt bad for her. But between the long wait, the disorganized service, and the awkwardness of the whole situation, we’ve decided we won’t be going back.
I just had to hear an earful how my wife ate there this morning. Apparently, they have new owners. So she ordered a breakfast for 13.99. She ordered egg whites only, and they came regular. She tells the waitress, who refuses to fix it. Then the bill ends up being 19 something, they overcharged her, and the waitress refuses to fix that too even after she points out the price in the menu. Their excuse was they charged extra for the sausage that the menu says is included. Any restaurant that rips off its customers doesnt deserve anyone's business. Youve been warned!
I was looking forward to eating at this place and was so disappointed at everything from service to what we tried. The hostess was nice and we got seated quickly, it was not too busy at all. The area we sat in only had 3 other parties. We ordered coffee and beignets to start. The coffee was decent, had a little bitter after taste our waiter Roberto spilled the creamer all on tge table and me. the beignets were gross! They had no flavor except oil and grease. Unfortunately that is all we had a chance to taste. We order pancakes and their famous Challah French Toast Sandwich but never got to try them because it never came to the table before we decided to leave. I was sitting there talking and telling my husband my whole childhood grandparent's house layout and realized it's been an hour since we ordered. The other people have come and gone. Then when we told our waiter we are just going to leave he says okay and brings us a check for the coffee, like really, you don't even get your manager to rectify anything...so we just paid and left. We will never come back here and suggest that if you do don't get the beignets.
Food was yummy. The servers are extremely friendly and efficient. Only problem is the hostess “Sofia” in the front . Seems like she doesn’t want to be there and is kinda rude to customers and other employees. Since that’s the first person you interact with, she should probably try and be kinder to people (first impressions matter) Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
Hostess sat all Caucasian people on one side and sat the African Americans on the other side. I do understand that the servers are busy but none of the servers were talking to tables nor were they in the kitchen. They were all in the front around the older Korean guy by the POS. Servers looked at us and waited over 5 mins before greeting us and asking for our drink order. This is totally unacceptable because I am a server myself. We greet everyone with 30-45 seconds. 1 minute is a stretch . So 5 is outrageous. All in all this was a terrible experience. My friend and I felt unwelcome at COFFEE HOUSE CAFE !!!!
I came to this restaurant for the second time since new owner and the second time was worst than the first time. I ordered the chicken fried steak and the first plate the food was cold so they took the plate of food back and cooked the order over the chicken fried steak the crust was dark in color I still tasted it this time the plate was hot but the chicken fried steak tasted like it was fried in old cooking oil and I told the waiter and manager or owner whoever he is. I told him I will pay for it but I am not eating this chicken fried steak it taste like it was fried in old cooking oil. You all should change your oil you don't serve your customers this type of food. Two bad experiences I want be back and this use to be a very nice place. I don't think they understand quality thats what keeps customers coming back. I paid the bill and left. The waiter apologized but the owner looked like he didn't care at all. Never once said we will do better. I guess he don't care. Waste of time and money.
